Oracle gives NOTHING but DISAPPOINTMENT

I have UNFORTUNATELY subscribed for tech-tracks a few months ago.
First I received my CDs with a long delay.
Now for atleast last 50 days I am not able to access my knowledge base account.
In the start I recevied ACCESS DENIED message, but now there is no link available at OTN home page.
I have emailed at the address given at otn but received no reply.
Then I posted a thread on this forum

Then I got some reasonable response and I was promissed to get response via email, I received the email saying to restore the service by 2nd of June.
But untill today it has not been started.
Is this the kind of service Oracle provides ?
I am in serious trouble and need that knowledge base should be immediately restored. If Oracle is unable to restore it should give me some alternate and solve my problem.
One more interesting thing you will observe on the otn page Oracle is still advertising its banner for tech tracks and says
"You also get access to KnowledgeBase*, an online resource of technical support information updated daily by Oracle's support organization."
But they don't write that knowledge base in un-available now and If you want you can pay for it, but will not get the service.
I hope for a possitive response from Oracle.

    Hi all,
    In February of this year I bought a Bowers&Wilkins A5 speaker from an Apple reseller. I use it in my office to stream music from my iPhone and/or iPad.
    It has been a very, very disappointing experience. I've actually reached a point where I'm considering leaving Airplay behind and buy a cheap bluetooth based speaker instead.
    My wifi system consists of an Apple Airport Extreme (not the newest model) which is hooked up to my modem and covers downstairs. Linked to the Extreme is an Express, via cable. The Express is set up so that it is an extension from my network to give the upstairs a better signal. I have zero problems with this wifi setup.
    The B&W speaker sits about 10 feet from the Express station upstairs, so distance can't be a problem. Yet I experience drops in music multiple times on daily basis. Music simply stops playing. The device that was streaming often can't find the B&W speaker after that, while the other device can find it.
    It is frustrating beyond belief. This isn't cheap stuff and I really expect more of it.
    How is everybody else's experience with Airplay? I hear similar stories from the people I follow on Twitter.
    Tips/suggestions more than welcome!

    I talked to a guy yesterday who recommended that I install a wifi tool to look at the channels that are being used around me. My neighbours on both ends have wifi networks and he thinks there might be issues if they use the same channels.
    I haven't tried yet. Do you think this will make a difference?
    Potentially ... and this could resolve the issue you are having.
    It it important to understand the "path" AirPlay takes when streaming. Basically, it would be from the iTunes host to the AirPlay speaker. That speaker, in your case, would be the B&W device. However, you also need to take into account the overall network path between those two devices and any potential latencies that would be present.
    In your roaming network, you are actually operating four separate Wi-Fi networks, each having the same network name. In addition, the AirPort Express Ethernet ports only support 100 Mbps of network bandwidth, so there is a definite "slow down" between the Extreme (which supports 1 Gbps) and the Express.
    So, for a worst-case streaming example, you would have the iTunes host downstairs. The stream would first travel from the host to the Extreme. Then it would travel from the Extreme to the Express via Ethernet, and then, from the Express to the B&W.

    I was using a third party game that was installed on the hard drive. Twice in the last
    several years the app has frozen on start up. The only way to get it to stop was the
    dreaded last resort of turning the computer off. This worked, until the last time that
    is! Now all I get is the blue folder with a question mark blinking at me. Any help
    would be more than appreciated.

    The blinking folder means a valid boot drive wasn't found. This could mean that something in your system folder has become corrupt, that the drive's directory or partition is damaged, or that the drive is not functioning. The first thing to do is to get your system disc and try to boot with it - put the DVD into the computer and restart it while holding the 'C' key. Once it has booted (probably to the screen where it asks for your language - so choose your language) in the menubar look for Disk Utilities and run it.
    If you don't see a hard drive listed it probably means the drive is dead. If you do see a drive, select it and click on Repair. If Disk Utility finds nothing to repair you'll have to re-install the OS. If it found something to repair, and repaired it, you can try restarting the computer but chances are you'll still have to re-install the OS. If Disk Utility can't repair the disk you can try another disk utility program (Disk Warrior is generally the most likely but there are no guarantees) or reformat the drive and re-install the OS...I hope you have a recent backup.

    I cannot find the answer anywhere. You need to  give answers to how to fix these errors because when I  "search" "error code" or the number there is NOTHING. NOTHING!  Yet you give us these stupid error codes
    then you do not give us ANYTHING on how to fix these. These error codes make me so mad it makes me hate outlook, and hate the developers and hate microsoft.  How in the world can you give us ERROR codes without the explanation of what
    to do or how to fix it. You need to  add each  error code number in your "search" then explain what it is and how to fix it.  I am not a tech. I am a lawyer. I have googled the entire string of error code and nothing is clear.
    So, for the last several years, I get these error codes. Also, there is another error code that won't go away--it is the password error code that asks if I want to store the password. Yes, so I say YES. but it pops back. I am sick of this. This is the reason

    I understand how frustrated you are when facing such an issue, maybe I can provide some suggestions on the problem.
    Based on the description, you should be using an IMAP account setup in Outlook. As for the error message, usually it's caused by a corrupted message on the Server. I suggest you logon the Webmail site, check if sending/receiving emails works well.
    If you find any unusual emails that cannot be read or sent, try deleting them to try again.
    I also suggest you create a new profile to setup the IMAP account:

    Contact your Email Service Provider to get the correct and latest account settings, since you have been using Outlook for years, some settings may have been changed while you haven't been informed.

    Very Important, how much Free Space is on your Hard Drive first of all? Click on the Macintosh HD on the Desktop, then do a Get Info on it.
    Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
    *Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

    Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
    (Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
    If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
    Do they launch OK while in Safe Mode?

    I have nothing but a cursor and a black screen. It's only 5 months old! What gives here? This is my first Mac and I'll tell you, they aren't impressing me.

    Did you get it fixed at the store? I have this same problem my macbook pro that I bought at the end of December. I am not impressed and very unhappy that I now need to drive to some store to fix it. I tried to get it fixed through the phone but alas it still does not work.
    After spending as much money as I did for this thing that I've only had for less than three months and used maybe less than 10 times, I'm slightly upset. I need to have this working by Saturday.

  • Itunes 64-bit on Windows & 64-bit does nothing but give errors!

    I've been trying to connect Iphone 3g 4.0.1 on Windows7 64-bit since last 5 days! Tried almost all the tips found on internet regarding this issue and none worked! At first simply downloaded the latest iTunes 9 (64-bit). It didnt work at all and I ended up seeing different errors. Then read this;

    Tried that too and still getting nothing but errors. In last 5 days I encountered the following variety of errors;
    Device Manager -> Portable Device -> MTP Usb Devie -> Device cannot start (Code 10)

    iTunes -> iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000065)

    iTunes -> iTunes could not connect to the iPhone "iPhone" because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000035)

    I even tried programs like iPhone Explorer, DiscAid, iFun-box etc. None worked. And now looking for a final answer. Will it work on Windows 7 or not? I am too tired of trying now.

    I don't know if this will help, but folks on Windows systems (typically laptops) with PM55 chipsets (like their brethen with P55 chipsets and other chipsets in the 5 series and 3400 series) have been reporting a lot of trouble with iPod/iPhone syncing (in particular, 0xE0000065 error messages, but the symptoms may vary).
    In cases where no BIOS updates are available, and the BIOS does not have a user configurable C-STATE setting, some success has been achieved by using an old trick ... changing the power management settings on the USB Host controllers, as per the following document:

    When attempting to connect iPhone or iPod touch, you may see one or more of the following error messages:

    Updated to Mountian lion 2 mnths ago had nothing but problems,I had no problems with lion, so i had a tech reinstall lion, Now agian I am  having problems with the cursor freezing and disappearing in photoshop and not being able to use type in word, safari, mail, photoshop6 ,lightroom4 any suggestions as I don't believe apple is going to doing anything,thy've stuck thier head in the sand and ignored it.

    This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
    The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
    Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
    While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
    Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
    After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
    *Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
    The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
    Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
    Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including Wi-Fi on certain iMacs.  The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
    The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
    Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
    After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

  • Placing Order = Nothing but a PAIN

    I've been trying to order a new iPhone 6, but the hurdles are nothing short of endless...
    1) I'm on a family plan that my mother manages. So the Verizon website wouldn't let me order a phone for MY number. ( I'm 31! )
    2) When my mother gave me the account password, it took an entire evening to order the iPhone because:
      - the website kept erasing my order from cart
      - the website was trying to force me to change to MORE Everything plan
      - the entire process was confusing because there was no explanation about the gift card for trade-in and my ability to upgrade. I was looking if there was another discount since I'm eligible for a new contract and phone but got no help at all.
    3) When I finally checked out, I entered my credit card to pay for the phone, but it kept changing the name on the card to my mother. I attempted to correct this multiple times, but it never worked. I figured that since the card number and date was correct it would be fine, but no...
    4) Now, I just got an email that my order isn't being processed because of the payment information and name of the account manager, my mother. I called to talk to representative and she wouldn't help me, because I'm not the account manager. Even though I could give her the account password. Even though I know the credit card number that's there to pay for the phone because its MINE!!! I still am getting no help.
    5) So I just logged into my family's account and tried adding myself as account manager. It said there would be a confirmation code sent to my phone. I submitted the request 3 times and NEVER got a text with a code.
    Now, I'm going to have to figure out how to have this corrected so I receive my order. Whether its that at age 31, I have to pester my mother for help to fix this because your company makes it ridiculously difficult to order a phone while on a family plan, that I have to go to a Verizon store and try to find a human being face to face that will cooperate and actually assist me so, or whatever to have your company actually send me a new iPhone.
    What's really absurd about this, is I'm trying to make a purchase and give Verizon business, but this has been nothing but a complete pain.
    If anyone knows how I to make sure I can get my new iPhone promptly and without any further problems, I would appreciate it.

    1) Age has nothing to do with it. On a family plan, ONE PERSON is liable for all lines on the plan. If you want to have the authority to make changes to the plan, take over the plan from your mother(or simply your line). You can also have your mother add you as an account manager in order for you to make purchases/changes to the account. Of course any purchases/changes you make would be the financial responsibility of your mother.
    5) Normally the password will be sent to the line of the account owner and/or account manager. Since you are neither, the text would not have been sent to your phone, but your mother's phone.
    If you want to be in charge of the account, simply go to your nearest Verizon store with your mother to step up and take financial responsibility for the account. Otherwise, your mother will be the final say on matters pertaining to the account.

  • Unexpected result from XMLELEMENT() - nothing but XMLTYPE()

    In testing XML DB thru SQL*PLUS under an Oracle 9.2 environment, I issued following query:

    </QueryStatement>
    But it returned nothing but following message that contain only "XMLTYPE()":

    XMLTYPE()

    </ReturnedMessage>
    The table PROD_PERIODS does contain data for the test, which has been proved by removing the XMLELEMENT() function call.
    Is there any setting should have been done before hand?

    The tem "process" has multiple meaning in Oracle but most likely you probably are referring to the Oracle background process used to perform the work for an Oracle session.  These are in fact OS processes spawed by Oracle using fork on UNIX/Linux and would be task thread on Windows.  You can find infomraion on these proceses via the v$process view.  You join v$process to v$session to see the front and backend processes for a connection to Oracle.

    Dear Friends,
    1.User has created TO for 2 qty.
    2.While confirming it , he has put 1 qty in qty diff - could be by mistake,
    3.Now this one qty is went to stock differnece - Storage type 999 and the storage bin as "TO" number.
    4.I suggested them to clear the differnces through LI21 , but they dont want to do it , as it will heat financial accounts too.
    5.They want to transfer this one qty from 999 storage type to the required storage type
    6.I tried with LT01 - user mvt type 999 , & also 201 , and used souce storage type as 999 and storage bin as TO no, but i am getting message -Storage bin 3000711133 ( this is nothing but TO no)  blocked for stock removals
    7.even i tried with LT09 - but it dosent work...
    It should allow to move the material from 999 through lt01 , in our case it is not allowing, could you please help me to resolve this issue, if i need to do some customisation changes then where i have to do?

    I request few corrections for my last post.
    As understood now, you picked quantity was 2 pcs , while confirming user has mistakenly put 1 pc in qty difference field.
    Here when user has entered 1 (reduced quantity that the delivery quantity in outbound delivery) then he has to enter difference indicator for reduced quantity which must have been configured in the system.
    Now say that you have deliver the 1 pc which was confimred in TO to customer, at the same time your delivery must ahve been updated with pick and pack quantity as 1.
    But still 1 qty lies in interim storage type (XXX) with stoareg bin as trsnfer order number.
    Now to put this stock back in original stoarge type and bin.
    You please try LT01 with movement type as 999 which is warehouse supervision.
    Now in next screen you enter the stoare type (XXX) and stoareg bin i.e. your transfer order number in source data
    and destination storage type and bin will be automatically picked.
    Now Press Enter . 'You will get warning message as check you entries' ignore that message and save

  • Nothing but problems since switching out SIM card's at at&t

    so lately, i've been having this strange recurring issue with my sim card. every so often the iphone will report that it is not installed even when it is in there, only way i was able to correct it would be to shut the phone off and turn it back on. it got annoying to the point where i took it too AT&T Yesterday and had the sim card's switched out.
    Since then i've had nothing but problem's, i went home and my iPhone just started spitting out error's like crazy. It keept reporting "Accessory is not supported by the iphone, would you like to go into airplane mode to reduce sound quality? you will not be able to make or receive calls while in airplane mode"
    To me that sounded like a problem with the activation process after AT&T switched out my sim card.
    So I plugged in my iPhone into my computer, and it gave me more problems.. Window's was able to detect my iphone but it took FOREVER. I left it in there for two hours until it finally activated the phone.
    After that scenario i thought it would be best to try and do a full restore on my iphone to see if that would help clear the lag, i hit the restore button and let the download finish.. then after itunes just hanged there for 3 hours and did nothing. so i had no other choice but to unplug the phone and try again.
    Now when i plug the iphone into that same USB port I get 1 of two error's, more commonly i get an "itunes could not connect to iphone due to an unknown error (0xE80000024)" http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/8369/iphoneerror2.jpg
    When i restart the computer and try to plug it into that same port i get this error "itunes could not back up the iPhone because a session could not be started with the iPhone" http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/4837/iphoneerror.jpg
    If i try an other USB port it will connect and sync perfectly fine, but i cant do a restore to clear the lag issues, if i try it will just hang there. usually the only way i can "fix" this error is to re install window's entirely and start from scratch, which to be honest i'm really tired of doing..
    anyone have any idea what could be causing these problems? I'm not positive it's the phone itself so i want to try and restore it before i go to an apple store with these problems..

    Iphone Version 2.2.1 (5H11)
    Firmware version 2.30.03
    Windows Vista 32 Bit

    Based on your description of the problems before and after getting a new SIM card, and before attempting a restore with iTunes and the problem that occured when trying to do a restore, I would give AppleCare a call at (800) 694-7466, or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby ASAP.

    :Record External Source (bit/hz config?) Nothing But StaticY Okay - I'm ready to be mutilated for posting this, but I've searched for HOURS so feel free to talk to me like I'm a total noob/fi've year old (but a smart fi've year old).
    I just purchased the PCI Express X-Fi Xtreme Audio card am I am trying to record the audio from?an external source (my?DirecTV receiver.)? I have the optical cable directly connected from the receiver to the S/PDIF-IN and all other cables (HDMI) disconnected.
    A few questions:
    -Do the settings (control panel>sound>recording) for bit/hz have to match those of the Creative MediaSource?
    -Can you record directly from a DirecTV HD-DVR?
    I've tried a lot of different settings and all I get is NOTHING but white noise/static and?the pitch/rate varies depending on the settings I am using. I'm lost.

    I am using console launcher and there you have to set your recording source.......do you see where I have hovered over the recording source where it gives me three choices? Here you can pick yours. If you have the wrong source you will get static. In your sound, recording properties, there you can set your default bitrate.
    If you have the wrong recording source, it will sound like white noise, or intermittant jibberish. I have never done a session of which you speak, but I am guessing when you have plugged in your digital satelite, you can try the "What U Hear"? feature to record sound to make sure your sound is being picked up on the PC. Then change your source to pull directly from the digital in.

    Check that the Bookmarks Toolbar is visible and that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is still placed on the Bookmarks Toolbar.
    If the menu bar is hidden then press F10 or hold down the Alt key, that should make the "Menu Bar" appear.
    Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
    * Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" (Linux, Windows)
    * Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
    * If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
    * If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" or other items that are missing in the toolbar palette or on a toolbar then click the "Restore Default Set" button
