Oracle Payment Module

In release 12 the iPayment module is replaced with Oracle Payments. Has anyone set this modules up yet?
In 11i, Oracle iPayemnt had a lot of setup steps related to Jserv.properties, Java CLASS PATHs and XML parser configurations.
Has anyone ran a test with ChasePaymentech to see how the new module works with BATCHCLOSE and BATCHQUERY?

We have tested the ChasePaymentech servlets as part of our normal release process. I am not aware of any customer live on R12 doing funds capture with ChasePaymentech yet, but there are several in process.

You can set this maximum amount limit in internal bank account level under account controls tab. I hope this will be applicable if you are using payment workbench screen for processing payments.
Not sure for payment batches, just test the scenario in test instance.

Oracle Payments:- a seperate module or engine in R12?

Could anyone verify for me whether Oracle Payments is a separate module in Ebiz suite or an engine replacing payments in AP for R12.

Currently Payments are picked up based on standard criteria like Due Date, Payment Method etc. We want to add a another critieria which is based on a DFF value.
Is there a functionality to this? If yes how? If not what kind of customization needs to be done?

Need help -- Oracle Financial 11i vs r12 (Oracle Payable and Oracl Payment)

Dear all
I'm newbie in Oracle Application and request for your help to answer my questions.
Background:
Three years ago, my company was planning to implement ERP Oracle Financials.
To facilitate the plan, an open bidding was established to find the best implementing company with affordable price.
The bidding document was created when Oracle Financials was 11i.
When the contract was signed 2 years ago, by my company and the winning company, it is mentioned that the version installed must be the latest one.
At the response to requirements, the winning company stated that the payment activity will be facilitated by Oracle Payable.
Now, the project is going on and the Oracle has the r.12 version.
Problem:
At 11i, there was only one module related to payment activities, i.e. Oracle Payable.
At r.12, Oracle has a new modul, i.e. Oracle Payment, which was subdomain of Oracle Payable.
Question:
1. Is my opinion about the relationship between Oracle Payable and Oracle Payment above correct?
2. Does my company has its right to ask for Oracle Payment in the installation?
3. If the answer to number 2 is yes, what is the base for it?

I am afraid, your statement 'At r.12, Oracle has a new modul, i.e. Oracle Payment, which was subdomain of Oracle Payable.' is not correct.
Oracle Payments is an upgrade version of Oracle iPayments of 11i and this module is expected to serve Self service modules. But Payment Batches which is part of Oracle Payables has been moved to Oracle Payments.
You can very well ask them to implement Payment Batches (Processes relating to Funds Disbursement) but not the entire module.
Please let me know if you require further info.

I have been searching for any information (notes,whitepapers/ presentation) on the impact of multi org implementation on Oracle Service module and so far not been able to find any either on metalink or on internet.
Any of you have any inputs on this ? Please provide the same if any.
basically,
Looking for the kind of security applied on SR creation form,Debrief form and charges form when a multi org is enabled.
I also tried to test this out in our instance and found that it seems to have no impact.

Yes indeed there is a impact of MULTI-ORG on the Service Module in 11i.
All the things are integrated now.
Everything is dependent on the MO:Operating Unit Profile Option and the setup which you had done.
1)
Security on SR creation Form:-
See you can implement the security, but for that you have to setup accordinglly and also to follow the process.
If you create 2 responsibilities with MO profile option different, then none of them will able to see the others data.
Note:-
But if you are using the instance to generate the SR, then you had to make it sure that the ITEM which you are using should be assigned to the Operating unit which is set in the MO profile Options of that responsibility.
2)
Debrief Form:-
As you must know that for debrief to work, you had to setup the Service Activities.
This is where you can define the security.
1) Create a Service activity,
2) Map it with BILLING TYPES
3) Map the Billing Types with Order Management Header and the Line Type
This the place where you can specify the Operating Unit.
When a user will log in and open a debrief form, then he will be able to see only those service activities which are mapped with the operating unit as that of set in MO Profile Option to the user.
3)
Charges:-
The same as the debrief is applied on the charges TAB.
Here you will only able to see the Service activites which are mapped with the operating unit as that of set in MO operating unit.
If you want ITEM level security, then you will be only able to see the items which are assigned to the Operating unit as that of set in the MO profile option.

Cannot install DBD::Oracle perl module with Oracle 11.2.0.3 client

I have been trying to install DBD::Oracle perl module on a Centos 5.7 server which is running Oracle client version 11.2.0.3. I have installed all dependencies prior to attempting installing the same and I am running into the following error -

Fyi.. I've tried to install DBD::Oracle version 1.24 and 1.50 but that doesn't seem to make any difference. I couldn't find any related thread either for this error so I desperately need a solution to the same(if any).
If anyone can help here, would really appreciate it or else, I will have no choice but to install previous version of oracle client.

How to get payment type from payment module...

We need payment type from payment module in sale transaction for which we are trying to access BO object of Payment Module into sale Transaction.

Go for SAP HCM. Eventhough Oracle is taking over many companies, SAP still prevails.
My suggestion is that, first you try to get a job in your domain. It's better if you join a company who practices SAP. So that, you can have first hand experience on the SAP HCM/HR.
Then try doing the Certification.
You would have taken certification, if you were a fresher. As such you have 3+ years exp.
Generally for any job opportunity, employer will look for the candidate who is currently working if he is not a fresher.
While you working you can get certification with eLearning. Now so many institutions are offering this. Also, the fees is 50% less.

According to http://www.linux1394.org/download.php you should not need any additional kernel module support. You may need to install the libraw1394 RPM packages, but you can get those from your distribution media or from ULN, if your are subscribed.

OMB commmand to get the oracle target module?

Can anyone please help me to get the omb command which will give "only" the oracle target module within a single project. I tried with OMBLIST ORACLE_MODULES which is giving me the expected result however, i am not sure whether this is the right command or it has any disadvantage.
below is the sample code after connecting to the repository:-

OMB01718: Property MODULE_TYPE not defined.
Here 'ABC' is the target module name.
Also tried the same command with project name, got same result.
