ORDS 3 redirecting wrong sometimes
Hi all,
just started playing around with ORDS 3.
This is a plain upgrade from ORDS 2, just running
java -jar ords.war configdir $path_to_ords2_config$
and then deploying to tomcat.
What I noticed is that previously (ORDS 2) if you were calling http://localhost/ords it redirected to http://localhost/ords/f?p=4550...
Now doing the same using ORDS 3 results in a redirect to http://localhost/f?p4550... which obviously failed because it skips the /ords/ part.
Don't know if that's some sort of bug or if I have some misconfiguration in place.
Anyone noticed same behavior or can drop a hint how change this?

Don't switch email providers. Switch to another email client on your Mac. It is not Yahoo. I have 3 Yahoo accounts and never have any problems getting or sending mail from/to those accounts. But I don't use the built in Mac Mail program. I use Thunderbird. I use thunderbird on both Mac OS X and Windows. Been using it for some time now with no problems getting my Yahoo mail, Google gmail mail or form my work email account.

No, we can't fix it. Probably live half the world away from you and don't have telephatic powers....
But you can try yourself. First, make sure the connector is absolutely clean. The gold pins on the cable end should all move freely and fully extend out. The gold pads on the Mac connector should be spotlessly clean, and the area around them, where the metal ring on the cable goes in, should be free of any debris that may impede full seating and contact.
Next, the cable on the power brick should be in good condition, without kinking or fraying. If there is any damage, only solution is replacement, it is not serviceable.
Lastly, make sure the battery is ok. Go to the About This Mac item in the Apple menu, do More Info... / System Report... and select Power on the left column. In the Battery Information, Health section, make sure the Condition is Normal. Else, will need replacement. -
Redirected content sometimes gets munged - why?
using mail.app client, if i "redirect" a message to my own account on my snow leopard server, it comes through just fine. the resulting message looks just like the original. here i'm talking specifically about HTML-formatted messages, such as is typical from companies who send receipts and invoices via email.
if i instead try to redirect a message to <group>-wiki@myserver, then the message gets mangled and comes through looking completely different from the original.
if i look in /etc/postfix/aliases, i see that <group>-wiki is an alias to a list of local users plus a special one (i guess) named teamserver@myserver that (i assume) puts a copy of the message into the group wiki.
the only tiny detail that seems slightly funky is that the alias looks like this:
<group>-wiki: , teamserver@myserver, <user1>@myserver, <user2>@myserver, ...
in other words, the alias begins with a "blank" entry or more specifically there is a comma BEFORE the first entry in the list. does this have some special significance? i don't think so...
anyway, i can't really see why passing through a simple mailing list expansion should affect how messsage content looks when it arrives. can anyone fill me in on what is going on here? what i really want to be able to do is to redirect msgs to the group alias and have them come through looking the same as if they were mailed directly.
a bit more detail....
i have inspected an example HTML message side-by-side with a copy that was redirected to myself as <user>@myserver, and a copy that was redirected to myself via the mailing list <group>-wiki@myserver. i found significant differences in the headers and format of the content.
strangely, the message redirected only to myself had both an html version (which looked good) and a plain text alternative. the original msg did not have a plain text alternative. the message redirected to myself via the group-wiki alias did not have a plain text alternative, either and the html version had an awful appearance.
can anyone fill me in as to what's causing the different behaviors and differences in the resulting message appearance?It would be important to see WHAT is on that master page? What is on the page?
Do you work with layers? This is very important! Are all items on the very same layer in both versions?
Do you work with paragraph and object styles? It is a must do! -
Clean Access HTTP redirect wrong after IP address change
Hi,
Wondered if anyone had seen this:
We have a Clean Access server running in VGW mode for VPN traffic, after a redesign the IP address has changed (the trusted and untrusted are the same).
Unfortunately when a user logs in it still uses the old IP address in the HTTP redirect, this has been confirmed by looking at the HTML source.
Apart from that it looks fine, new SSL certificate etc.

Jim.For all deployments, if planning to configure the Clean Access Server in Virtual Gateway mode (IB or OOB), do not connect the untrusted interface (eth1) of the standalone CAS or HA-Primary CAS until after you have added the CAS to the CAM from the web admin console. For Virtual Gateway HA-CAS pairs, also do not connect the eth1 interface of the HA-Secondary CAS until after HA configuration is fully complete. Keeping the eth1 interface connected while performing initial installation and configuration of the CAS for Virtual Gateway mode can result in network connectivity issues.
When setting up a CAS in Virtual Gateway mode, you specify the same IP address for the trusted (eth0) and untrusted (eth1) network interfaces during the initial installation of the CAS via CLI. At this point in the installation, the CAS does not recognize that it is a Virtual Gateway. It will attempt to connect to the network using both interfaces, causing collisions and possible port disabling by the switch. Disconnecting the untrusted interface until after adding the CAS to the CAM in Virtual Gateway mode prevents these connectivity issues. Once the CAS has been added to the CAM in Virtual Gateway mode, you can reconnect the untrusted interface.

Wrong Dates and Sizes in List View in Finder (10.3.9)
Hi,
I'm in the Finder (Mac OS X 10.3.9) looking at a folder.
The folder is in List View mode.
Here's the problem:
Files that I edited yesterday are continuing to show up as modified "Today."
What's with that?
The Finder window won't update. (And I modified those files 12 hours ago.)
This has been going on for years.
Sometimes clicking on each file will trigger an update of the info, sometimes not.
Sometimes the dates are wrong, sometimes the sizes are wrong.
Is there a cure for this Mac OS bug?

However, can you tell us what diagnostic tests or repairs you have attempted? e.g. Repair Disk in DU, Saft Book, Disk Warrior etc.

On a form w Validation, how to redirect to a custom page
Hi. I have created a form in Dreamweaver CS5 that uses spry validation successfully. Once the form is submitted, the user is redirected to the home page. But I don't want that redirect.
My question is, how can I have the validated page redirect to a custom thank you page I designed? I don't know the exact code/syntax to write to make it do what I want and, even if I had the code, I wouldn't know exactly where it should be placed. Please help if you can. Here's the source code. )BTW, when I use Dreamweaver Behaviors to add a URL redirect, it ignores the required validation and simply allows you to click the submit button and redirect.) Many thanks!

</html>Thanks for replying. The URL you've bolded is actually the correct page I'd like the redirect to go to when the form is successfully submitted after validation. But for some reason, that URL request is being ignored and the redirect brings me back to the index page in the root directory. I don't see anywhere in the code that makes the request to do that. Unless that's a default behavior if I've gotten the redirect wrong?
I don't know if this is helpful, but there is also a .js file that Dreamweaver created and attached to the above HTML source file. The .js file appears to have all the spry code validation including code for features and widgets I'm not even using. I searched through the code several times trying to identify where there might be a redirect to the index page but didn't recognize anything that made sense to me. Sequence plays right on canvas but exports clips at wrong in/out points!
This is driving me nuts.
I've made a 90 second sequence the way I always have: previewing the clip in the viewer, setting in/out points, then dragging it down to the time line. It plays perfectly when I watch it from the time line/canvas but when I export to QT the clips are all wrong (sometimes a whole second off)! The cuts all happen in the right places in regards to matching the music, but the clips inside the cuts have become skewed one way or another.
I hope that made sense.
I'm working with files from a 7D, it's my first time messing with HDSLR stuff.
Any help would be appreciated.I couldn't figure out MPEG Steamclip (it was a little late haha), so I imported into iMovie as a HDV 720p project and then pulled the converted files from inside the project. It came into FCE fine with no rendering needed so I figured it was fine until I watched the sequence after it was exported to QT.
Sequence is good in FCE "canvas" but all wrong in the exported QT movie. I don't understand how it would get screwed up between the perfect preview and the final output.
Another note... the thumbnails in the time line are wrong in regards to the canvas. What the canvas shows as the first frame of a clip is not the first frame on the time line clips thumbnail. The thumbnail is the actual first frame that is exported to the final QT file though. I'm bewildered. -
View message redirect recipient
I automatically redirect a lot of mail, using rules. The original message remains in my inbox, and a lightning bolt/ zig zag arrow appears in the dot column, indicating that the message has been redirected.
Sometimes I want to ensure that it actually redirected to the correct person (for example, when that staff person says they never received it), but there's no way to see the redirect history. I can look at current rules in place, which tells me where I want current redirects to go, but that doesn't confirm a redirect I may have caused 2 weeks ago when the rule may have been different. Same thing for a forward-to.
Redirected messages don't appear in my *sent messages* folder, and clicking on the zig-zag doesn't bring up any info.
Has anyone found a way to view the redirect history?
Dual 2.3 GHz PowerPC G5 Mac OS X (10.4.6)Yes, that would put the message (or copy of it) in the sent folder (or even a new folder named *Redirected messages*.) So I tried it. But all that shows is the original message. It still doesn't say to whom I redirected it. Rules apply to incoming messages or inbox, not outgoing messages.
That's probably the thing I miss most from Entourage. With Entourage, you could say *after sending, move to such-and-such folder*. With Mail, it all just goes into the Sent folder.
I checked the long headers of original messages that I've redirected. Nothing.
If I look at a message that I test-redirected to myself, the header will show resent-to and resent-from but only the recipient of a redirected messages has access to that. The redirector/originator doesn't get to see where he/she sent it.

Webauth redirection page title
Hi,
We are using webauth on an external web server. The controller redirects clients to this external web server successfully and the authentication process is working fine.
However, during the redirection process the following message appears as a page title:
"Cisco Systems Inc. Web Authentication Redirect"
for sometime and then disappears when the login page opens. (see attached sample snapshot)
As I understand, this temporary page is login.html which is on the controller flash.
How do we remove this message and redirect the client to the login page without showing this message?HI,
Currently there is no way to remove that as the client traffic will hit the WLC first and then go to the external web server. You could use a custom web auth bundle on the WLC itself where you have full control over the web page on the WLC and change that text.

SRS5 / SRSS 4.2 FOG on SLES 10: utdevmgr does not update /tmp/SUNWut/units
We are running SRSS 4.2 with Patch 140995-01 on SLES 10 SP3 32-bit with 3 hosts in a FOG and 49 SunRay2-P8-DTUs, FW 4.2_140993-01_2010.01.21.17.35 on a dedicated interconnect.
We do not use kiosk-functionality, all sessions (smartcard and non-smartcard) are default UNIX sessions on the SunRay-server.
Since our recent upgrade to SRSS 4.2 we observe the following problem:
when a DTU moves to a new server (by load-balance policy or after a user logout) the corresponding device-directory IEEE802.<mac-address> is not moved by the utdevmgr to the /tmp/SUNWut/units-directory of the new host, but stays on the host which first got in contact with this specific DTU.
So every single DTU has a correct device directory on one of the servers in the FOG, but unfortunately not necessarily on the particular one the DTU-session is currently connected to.
This leads to at least the following bad behaviour:
- $UTDEVROOT is invalid due to missing link target.
- DTU-Hardware, especially USB-Thumbdrives cannot be used.
- utdiskadm -l gives: utdiskadm: Cannot locate device root directory
When explicitly using utswitch/utselect, the device directory DOES get moved to the target host and everything works fine, but logging out from this switched session does not move the directory back to the original host.
When we stop Core Services on a host via /etc/init.d/utsvc stop, all DTU-device-dirs are immediately redistributed and new greeter sessions are started on the other two FOG-hosts.
Since SRSS 4.2 we also notice a different load-balance behaviour:
load-balance redirection now sometimes occurs at user-login-time, eventually disconnecting a running idle-session on a DTU and choosing a new lower loaded host; the disconnected idle-sessions get discarded after a timeout (~15 minutes) if not reused.
This is presumably intended behaviour to make the balancer more accurate, but may be related to our problem.

but we made sure that it is not a permission problem on /tmp, neither on /tmp/SUNWut (we removed /tmp/SUNWut on all hosts and restarted the farm,
thus creating the tree by scratch).
We don't have any sort of firewall or packetfilter running between the hosts, utgstatus permanently reports TN/UAM for all servers on the interconnect.
We also tried running the utdevmgrd with the -d(ebug) option but were unable to spot any errors in the output due to missing in-depth knowledge.
It's also notable that this problem did not exist when using SRSS 4.1.
One very strange side-observation (which may cause the problem):
as mentioned above, we have a dedicated interconnect setup with registered IPs for Sunray-traffic, so each of our FOG-hosts has two NICs called eth0 and eth3, eth0 for normal lan traffic (with shared lan interconnect turned off) and eth3 for Sunray-Traffic.
Let's assume the following addresses:
primary server:
eth0: x.y.z.151
eth3: a.b.c.1
secondary server 1:
eth0: x.y.z.152
eth3: a.b.c.2
secondary server 2:
eth0: x.y.z.153
eth3: a.b.c.3
tcpdump on the primary server now shows various connection attempts of the local utdevmgrd to 2.c.b.a:7011 and 3.c.b.a:7011, the secondary server 1 tries to reach 1.c.b.a:7011 and 3.c.b.a:7011, finally secondary server 2 pumps out connection attempts to 1.c.b.a:7011 and 2.c.b.a:7011.
So every machine tries to connect to the utdevmgr of the other two peers but uses a target IP with REVERSED byte order.
Of course this traffic leaves on the wrong interface via default route and bothers helpless machines somewhere in the world, but never reaches the intended target (in fact, it doesn't do so any longer, we blocked it on our GW).
Fixing this bug is beyond our capability (little-big-endian-problem during SPARC-to-linux-port?), so I'd like to file a bug report, but http://bugreport.sun.com seems to only be related to JAVA-stuff and tells me to "review ... paid support options below".
How do I properly submit this problem to someone able to help?

Hello, sorry if I put this in the wrong category, as I didn’t see one for malware, viruses, etc.
I’m trying clean up my sister-in-laws Toshiba L305 laptop with AMD Sempron processor. She didn’t
have current a/v software on the laptop and accidentally downloaded on of those ‘scareware’ programs that look like an anti-virus program. I was able to help get that off of there using system restore. But, she also has
a couple of other problems on the laptop. One, is that intermittent commercials play on the laptop every once in a
while, for no reason (I think they’re usually Cinema Now commercials), and also she says that it redirects her sometimes to fake a/v sites when googling some things.
It looks like she has some malware on her laptop, so I was just wondering if anyone knows of a good malware checker/cleaner that I could get for a reasonable price. I’ve since loaded a 2 year version of Bitdefender a/v on her laptop, and have run full and deep scans on it using that, as well as running a scan with housecall
online. But, all they have discovered are tracking cookies. So, it is protected now…but some damage has already been done.
So, I’d appreciate it if anyone could recommend a good malware checker/cleaner. Thanks!You could also run a scan with SuperAntiSpyware Free Edition.

You'll want to uninstall Malwarebytes and SAS before installing
a real-time AV program like Microsoft Security Essentials.
Having more than one AV program might cause conflicts.

....d-bracket from MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR is 1,3,4 red and 2 green. Which is according the the manual "Memory Detection Test"-if the memory module is damaged or not installed properly.
Why woudl a memory suddenly not work?
I know I was adjusting bios for this and that....
I think just before this happened.. I adjusted something on agp setting... but what ahs that got to do with memory?
COuld it be the mobo or memory or the video card???

Voice control does not work properly on iphone 4
I found some bugs in voice control in the iphone 4. Here are the bugs I found:
*When you tell voice control to call someone, it calls someone in your contacts instead of the person you want to call
*Sometimes, when you tell voice control to dial a number, it sometimes gets the number wrong
*Sometimes when you try to call someone in your contacts, it says "No match found." and you have to call that person again hoping this wouldn't happen again
That's all I found for now but 1 question. Will you please tell apple these bugs so they will make an update fixing these bugs?Except the first one, these are not Apple specific problems. Every voice recognition application has the same.
The first one is expected behaviour. iPhone only knows about contacts in your Address Book. There are other services that provide you with a broader call-by-name directory, but that's not an iPhone function. You can use iPhone to call those services. -
Apple TV will only play one track at a time, can anyone help?

I have Apple TV model #MC572LL/A which I think makes it 2nd gen, right? I've had it for a couple of years, never really had a problem with it until maybe the latest update of the firmware (5.2), or maybe the latest iTunes (11) or maybe my brand new Win8 Sony Vaio or maybe since I reset my home wifi router 10 days ago, whatever, all these things happened at once, and all was fine until something went wrong sometime last week.......
All of a sudden this started happening:
I'll play a movie (which I have imported into my iTunes library as a 'movie', not a 'home video') and it plays fine. At the end if I want to play another movie I go back to the movies menu, scroll down to another movie, select it and the spinny thing in the center of my tv screen starts spinning......and stays spinning.....forever.
The same thing happens if I play a music track. At the end of the track in an album or playlist it will move on to the next track on the TV screen but nothing plays, the tiny spinny thing under the progress bar just sits there spinning.
I have tried restarting Apple TV and factory resetting Apple TV to no avail. When I restart Apple TV I have to turn off home sharing in iTunes then turn it back on again by signing in before I can see my library on my TV screen.
If I go to my PC and close iTunes and re-open it I can then play another music track or movie. At the end of the track, if I go back to the home screen UI I can see all my movie covers or album covers along the top of the TV screen if I am on the green 'computers' icon. Anything I select to play will not play if something else has just been played.
I have home sharing on, obviously, I have one wifi network, one Apple ID, one wifi router, one PC, one iTunes, one TV, one Apple TV, a very simple set-up. It all worked fine last month.
