Organisation structure-multiple plants miltiple POrg

Hi,
we have one company code 1000 which have three plants 2000, 3000, 4000.
each plant has its independent Porg and purchasing activities, different master records and vendors.
Porg are 1000 for plant 1000
Porg are 2000 for plant 2000
Porg are 3000 for plant 3000
I have assigned each POrg to the respective plant.
Do I have to assign each of these POrg to the Company code 1000 or not?
Please guide me to the right method in assignment of organisation structure.
I am not looking at IMG path or T-code.
regards

Hi Rashmi,
If you have assigned Plants to your Purchase organization.
As i see understand your scenario it is Plnat Specific purchasing
in this case, you assign the plant and the company code of the plant to
the purchasing organization. The purchasing organization may procure for
this plant only.
Reward if useful

  • Creating organisation structure (SPRO) for an integrated steel plant

    HI,
For an integrated steel plant of 2.2 mt capacity (green field) need organisation structure to define. It would be a single legal entity under which the plant would produce wire rods, reinforement bar, billets, coke, sinter, ductile iron pipe, power, pig iron. The ISP will have Blast furnacec, SMS, rolling mill, coke oven, sinter plant, pallete plant, oxygen plant, lime plant, dolo plant, raw materila handling plant, power plant.
Can any body guide to decide the suitable org structure for such spread of manufacturing facilities. We need to identify the hirarchical structure w.r.t Company, Company code, Controlling area, business area, functional area, plant, profit center, cost center with a visioning that in future, the company would come up with other units also of similary capacity.
The plant is at green field stage coming up absolutely from scratch. New set of people has formed the work force top to botton.Desigred reporting (MIS) structure not yet crystalised. Have bent of mind to accept best practice. The plant is in Indian environment.
    Request an early reponse please.

  • Maintenance plant in organisation structure & equipement master

    Hi Gurus
There is small confusion about fixing the organisation structure. In fact the client is supplying thier asset (equipment) to customers and charging rental. The Nurses are mainly supplying the equipment and then doing periodic visit, trouble shoot. Nurses spreads all over the country and they do service according to patinet location. If any issues on equipment technicians are solving. The nureses are assigning by delegator for work , however the periodic visit is planning and doing by nureses. About the repairing the workshop technicians by receiving from the client stores.
When considering to this all points I dont thing we need to insert a maintenance plant in master data, organisation structure. Is it right? I think there will be 3 planner groups delegator , nurses and workshop. Also the work center is not required since we track  visits are tracking by sales and just notifcation is information purpose we decided to use. Is it right?
    Regards
    Thenna

To identify the equipments based on location, you have to create the maintenance plant & location, assign the location to maintenance plant.
Create one maintenance plant (planning plant also same) & create work centers according to that. I guess, work centers are required as they are doing service to the patients.

  • Help required on Organisation Structure

    Dear All,
I wanted to prepare a Organisation Structure for one of our Client.
The Business process is like this , there is one Head office , 25 Branches & 50 Service centres .
The Head Office & Branches have similar function, i.e of booking the orders , checking the stock ( branches also stock the material ) ,if avialable than despatch, if the stock is not avilable than the stock is replenished from the main warehouse.
The service centre recieves complaints & defective goods under warranty from the customer , checks  for availabilty of material , issues fresh material  in place of defective material & sends it to the customer ,incase of material is not available than the requistion for the same is sent to the main warehouse & on reciept from warehouse the material given to the client.
In such scenario, how should I map my Organisation structure.
Secondly what factors decide whether a unit is to be treated as a plant or a storage location.
    Thanks

    Hello,
    My suggestion is to have
    1 company code
25 purchasing organizations (or maybe less if you are able to put some of them together)
    50 plants
but I would need to know much more about how the company works.
A purchasing organization is defined as:
A purchasing organization is an organizational unit within logistics subdividing an enterprise according to the requirements of Purchasing. It procures materials and services, negotiates conditions of purchase with vendors, and bears responsibility for such transactions.
    The definition for plant:
An organizational unit serving to subdivide an enterprise according to production, procurement, maintenance, and materials planning aspects. It is a place where either materials are produced or goods and services provided.
The defnition for storage location is:
An organizational unit allowing the differentiation of material stocks within a plant. All data referring to a particular storage location is stored at storage location level. This applies mainly to storage location stocks.
So deciding if you create a plant with only one storage location assigned or with more than one, it depends if you need to divide your goods in different locations. if they are all grouped in the same location, you can decide to have only one storage location per plant.

    Pricing Procedure
In SD, Pricing Procedure is determined based on Sales Area (Sales Organization + Distribution Centre + Division) + Customer Pricing Procedure + Document Pricing Procedure. Sales Area is determined in Sales Order Header Level. Customer Pricing Procedure is determined from Customer Master. Document Pricing Procedure is determined from Sales Document Type / Billing Type (if configured). Once the pricing procedure is determined, Condition records are fetched. If appropriate condition records are found, the price is determined. If Mandatory pricing condition is missing, system will through an error message.
In SD, the steps to configure Pricing procedure are as under:
    Step 1:
Condition table: If existing condition table meets the requirement, we need not create a new condition table. Considering the requirement for new condition table, the configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Condition Table (select the required fields combination, which will store condition record).
    Step 2:
Access Sequence: If existing access sequence meets the requirement, we need not create a new access sequence. Considering the requirement for new sequence, the configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Access Sequence (Access sequence is made up of Accesses (Tables) & the order of priority in which it is to be accessed. Here we assign the condition table to access sequence.
    Step 3:
Condition Type: If existing condition type meets the requirement, we need not create a new condition type. Considering the requirement for new condition type, the configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Condition Type. It is always recommended to copy an existing similar condition type & make the neccessary changes. Here we assign Access sequence to Condition type.
    Step 4:
    a. Pricing Procedure: It is recommended to copy a similar pricing procedure & make the neccesary changes in new pricing procedure. Pricing Procedure is a set of condition type & arranged in the sequence in which it has to perform the calculation. Considering the requirement for new Pricing Procedure, the configuration will be done in spro as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Pricing Procedure --> Maintain Pricing Procedure.
    b. Pricing Procedure: After maintaining the pricing procedure the next step will be determination of pricing procedure. Configuration for determining pricing procedure in SPRO is as follows: IMG --> Sales & Distribution --> Basic Function --> Pricing Control --> Pricing Procedure --> Determine Pricing Procedure.
    5. Condition record: Condition record is a master data, which is required to be maintained by Core team / person responsible from the client. During new implementation, the condition records can be uploaded using tools like SCAT, LSMW, etc.
    Normal Sales Order Cycle:-
    Step 1: Sales Document Type
IMG > Sales and Distribution > Sales > Sales Documents >
    Sales Document Header:
    1. Sales Document Type:The sales document types represent the different business transactions, such as Inquiry, Quotation, Sales Order, etc. To create new sales order type, always copy as with reference to similar sales order. If possible use standard sales order.
    2. Define Number Ranges For Sales Documents: Maintain number range with discussion with core team.
    3. Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types:
    A. Combine sales organizations / Combine distribution channels / Combine divisions: Ensure to maintain these, else Sales Order creation will give error.
    B. Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas: Assign only required Sales Order Types to required Sales Area. This will minimize selection of Sales Order Type as per sales area.
    Sales Document Item:
    1. Define Item Categories: If possible use Standard Item Category. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Assign Item Categories: If possible, use standard. Formula for deriving item category: Sales Document Type + Item Category Group + Usage + Higher Level Item Category = Item Category
    Schedule Line:
    1. Define Schedule Line Categories: If possible use Standard Schedule Lines. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Assign Schedule Line Categories: If possible, use standard. Formula for deriving Schedule Line: Item Category + MRP Type / No MRP Type.
    Step 2:
    IMG > Logistic Execution > Shipping > Deliveries >
    1. Define Delivery Types: If possible use Standard Delivery Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Define Item Categories for Deliveries: If possible use Standard Item Categories for Delivery Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    3. Define Number Ranges for Deliveries: Ensure to maintain number range.
    Step 3:
IMG > Sales and Distribution > Billing >
    1. Define Billing Types: If possible use Standard Billing Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Define Number Range For Billing Documents: Ensure to maintain number range.
    3. Maintain Copying Control For Billing Documents: Maintain relevant copy controls such as Sales Order to Billing, Deliver to Billing, etc.
The configuration differs from scenario to scenario & requirement of the client.

  • Multiple Plants sharing 1 shippinh point

    Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement that multple plants of different company codes needs to Share 1 shipping point( same address)
Actually these 3 plant have 3 PL ware house, so these will have only 1 shipping point.
What would be the implicaitons if they share 1 shipping point because of different company codes.
    OR
Do we need to change the description of the shipping point and put the same address and configure 3 different shipping points with the same address?
    Thanks
    Vivek

Unless you are using transportation with shipping cost functionality, having plants of different company codes using the same shipping point shouldnt be a problem. Make sure the shipping point determination configuration is correct and that you assign the multiple plants to the same shipping point in enterprise structure configuration.

  • Multiple Plants for Material and customer

    Hi,
I have downloaded the Plants from the R/3 to CRM using DNL_PLANT object. The BP with Role 'PLANT' are created.
we  have multiples plants for the same material,
I have downloaded the material master data, but in COMMPR01, the field DELIVERING LOC. is empty. Is that correct? How the system works with multiples plants.
    What I can do?
    Best regards
    Lidisaid

    Hi Lidisaid,
Ideally, the field Delivery location must get populated. Just ensure that the followig settings have been maintained.
    1. Adapter Object MATERIAL
    Tcode: R3AC1
Choose the tab Tables/Structures Within Object
    Add tables MARC and MARC_KEY
Please also check that MARC_KEY that the field Inactive is not flagged for this entry.(This is needed to download the PLANT information as   interlinkages to CRM Online in the table COMM_IL_PRDLOC.)
The plant information is seen in the Sales & Distribution tab of the product master by double clicking on the Distribution Chain.
    2. Add Relationship type PRDLOCS- LOCATION OF PRODUCTS
    Tcode: COMM_HIERARCHY
Check if the corresponding Material Categories for which the PLANT information is to be downloaded has the interlinkage type LOCATION OF PRODUCTS maintained in the RELSHIP types for the products categories that are to be downloaded to CRM from R/3.
    Note:
If no relationship types are assigned to the product category, the PLANT information will be downloaded to the interlinkage table COMM_IL_PRDLOC. But even if a single RELSHIP entry is maintained then additionally the RELSHIP type LOCATION OF PRODUCTS also have to be maintained. E.g. MAT_FERT
    Wish this helps.

  • Vendor has multiple plants .Track Vendor plant in which material delivered

    Hi Friends,
I have a query. I have a vendor(ABC). He has multiple plants all over india. I will give PO to the vendor. He will issue the material with reference to PO. Now I need to track from which of his plant the material is delivered. Is there any SAP functionality. Please guide me in detail.
    Regards
    Prabhul

    Hi,
It is always advisable to go for multiple vendor codes based on region .the reason being In India the tax and duty structure keeps varyin from region to region .In your case  during GR you can maintain the place of origin of goods in a text field(general tab -header text) ,This can be displayed in the form of a report to the user.

Whether the Sales organisation assign to Company Code (company code Which is assigned to your plant)

Make proper assignment with Sales Organisation -- Distribution Channel -- Plant (this assignment make it delivering plant)

Here diffrent type of services (Implemetation, t &m consulting, fixed bid projects etc) needs to be mapped in SAP.
Your inputs will be highly appreciated

I will illustrate it with an example as below:
Scenario: Company ABC having Business operation in India and Singapore. Hence the Orgainsation Structure for SD will be as follows:
    Company Code:
    0001 - ABC Singapore
    0002 - ABC India
    Sales Organization:
    0001 - ABC Singapore
    0002 - ABC India

  • WM Organisation structure

    Dear Friends,
presently we have 2 plants (Plant A and Plant B)  running in SAP without WM Implementation. We are planning to Implement WM and in the process of finalising the WM Organisation structure.
Both Plant A and Plant B have different type of storage types and storage section. Example Material A will be placed in storage type 001 in Plant A and will be placed in storage type 003 in plant B.
Now both Plant A and Plant B being shifted to new physical location and will be available in same Premises. But will be maintained separately inventory wise and Physically.
Is there possibility of having Single Warehouse and Single Plant and 2 storage location to have inventory separate. But Our Storage types are assigned to Warehouse level. Please confirm the possibility. So that even if we have single warehouse, and single plant, when materiel inward Storage location A, the materiel will go to Storage type 001 and when inward in storage location in B, it will go to Storage type 003. Please confirm.

    Hi Madhavan,
Your query- "Is there possibility of having Single Warehouse and Single Plant and 2 storage location to have inventory separate. But Our Storage types are assigned to Warehouse level"
Yes, you can define a warehouse complex number connected accross two storage locations of two plants. In the warehouse there can be different storage types as per the requirement. Then you can use of storage location control (storage location reference) so that the stock is only stored in a specific storage type based on the storage location reference.
For that go to the following path
Logistics Execution u2192 Warehouse Management u2192 Interfaces u2192 Inventory
Management u2192 Define Storage Location Control. Then define a new indiactor for storage location reference.
Then assign the indicator for your plant-storage location-warehouse combination.
Control of Assignment "Plant / Stor.Loc. - Whse Number
Then Choose Logistics Execution u2192 Warehouse Management u2192 Strategies u2192Activate Storage Type Search and then choose Determine Search Sequence.
Choose New Entries and enter your warehouse number, the operation putaway (indicator E), and your storage location reference.
    This can help.
    Thanks,
    Mono

  • APO gATP vs R/3 ATP - To check sales order ATP across multiple plants

    Hi There,
I am trying to evaluate gATP functionality for SD sales orders.
The primary requirement is to have sales order ATP checking take place across multiple plants.
    E.G.
Sales order line is entered for qty 100
60 is available in plant A, 40 is available in plant B
System checks both plants and creates 2 lines - one for delivery from plant A and one for delivery from plant B
(we are currently heading down the road of writing ABAP to do this 'multi-plant' check in R/3 but the more complex the requirements get the more interested I am in understanding more about APO/gATP)
I would like to understand the benefit of implementing APO / gATP as opposed to using standard R/3 ATP and perhaps writing custom ABAP code to search for inventory across multiple plants.
I would appreciate any insight regarding what is required to setp gATP to perform such checking and any other feedback regarding this issue - especially if you have had to implement something similar at your company.
I have looked here but not much clear help:

    Niall

    Hi Niall
you are probably looking at RBATP (Rule based ATP). Look at transaction /sapapo/rba04 in APO where you develop your own location and product substitution rules. Going down an ABAP road in R/3 may work short-term but not long-term as the requirements may get more complex.
