  • Authority-Check Object for PLANT(WERKS)?

    Hi Experts,
By using "V_VBAK_VKO" Authority Object am checking the user Authentication against the sales area(Sales OrgDistr. ChannelDivision) in my custom report. Below is the code,
    AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT 'V_VBAK_VKO'
        ID 'VKORG' FIELD s_vkorg
        ID 'VTWEG' FIELD s_vtweg
        ID 'SPART' FIELD s_spart
        ID 'ACTVT' FIELD '01'
        ID 'ACTVT' FIELD '02'.
(Note: My report is for SD/OTC module)
I also need to check the authenmtication of user against entered PLANT (WERKS) in selection screen, so, pls. let me know that  What is the Authority-Check Object for PLANT(WERKS)
    Thank you

    Hi,
    Transaction SU20, search for WERKS.
When you find it, double click on the row, in the bottom half of the resulting screen there is a list of authorisation objects that contain the field.
Unfortunately, you can't navigate from this list into the definition of the objects, so you'll need to cross-reference against transaction SU21.

    Hi Shravan,
I don't think there is just one (correct) answer to that kind of question - depends on number of factors.
as Sunguard states on their homepage, 'AvantGard Treasury Corporate (Integrity) is aimed at meeting more basic cash management requirements'. please find a link to an overview of AVANTGARD INTEGRITY - Treasury Corporate Edition (CE) - http://www.sungard.com/~/media/FinancialSystems/Brochures/Corporations/Treasury/AvantGard_Datasheet_Integrity_CE.ashx

  • URGENT HELP NEEDED (Bios Settings Failed)

    Hey Guys,
I am having problems with my MSI Board, and don't know what to do.  I am very much a noob to BIOS/and modding so I apologize in advance.  You guys helped me a few months ago getting everything up and running and all was great for months.  Then last night I walked away from my PC for a while and when i came back a starting screen was on saying my OC Settings Failed to load, i tried other versions I saved and they all failed as well.  I ended up loading failsafe options, and got the "double start" where the computer turns on, then instantly shuts off, then turns on again.  This allowed me to load windows 7, which then started to "install updates".   So i think while i was away Windows automatically updated and rebooted... but would that effect my BIOS settings?
As I said, I had my system running perfect for months no errors or crashes at all based on the Bios setting you guys help me with in this thread:  https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=147854.0
However, last week I removed the heat sink and installed this cooler:  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181010&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle-_-Water+Cooling-_-Corsair-_-35181010
All I did was unhook everything from the MB, install the cooler, and then hook everything back up to the MB.  The only thing I may have done wrong is not connect the SATA devices (my HDs and ROMS) back in the spots they were in originally.  However after I installed the cooler, they system booted right up, and I haven’t had any problems with my system for the past two weeks.  I also should note I didnt make any BIOS changes either after I installed the cooler.  So I don’t know if I should have done something there.   Yet, like I said the system has been fine for the past two weeks, no crashes or errors... it wasn’t until last night after Windows auto updated that this has begun.
The reason I need "URGENT HELP" is because of course I just a new job with deadlines due and so much video editing work I need to do.  I would be fine leaving it on failsafe settings, and forgetting the OC setting all together if I new that would make the system stable.  But considering its still doing the "double start" even in failsafe mode, im afraid if i start working my system will crash.
So I am begging anybody for any advice or help they could provide.  I will provide my system info below.  If anybody can guide me as to what settings I should set in BIOS i would appreciate it.  Or perhaps there’s a BIOS update that I should use now that I have a cooler and not a heat sink?  If you need any more information from me, just ask.  I will be monitoring this thread all day, as I desperately need help.

PROBLEM:  My OC BIOS setting wont load.  Even on failsafe i get the "double start".  I want to get back to my OC (stable) settings.
UPDATE:  Since I posted somebody messaged me mentioned I should have "reset the CMOS" after I installed the new cooler.  So I did that, and now they system starts fine without the "double start".  I am able to load one of my saved OC settings now as well (but any others causes a failure).
    NEW QUESTIONS:
          1.  Since I reset the CMOS and now the system is starting fine on my last OC settings, is it safe to assume the sytem is stable for now?
          2.  I never made any power changes or BIOS changes after I installed the new cooler.  Should I have?
          3.  After I reset the CMOS was I soupposed to reinstall the drivers from the MSI disk again?  I did not, and the system seems to be fine, but I thought I was soupposed to do that after a CMOS reset.
          4.  Is there a new BIOS version for my setup that may be better now?   Im currently on v1.5
Here is a screenshot from CPUZ of the system information currently.  This is with it booting normally after my CMOS reboot.  I just figured id post it incase it helps with any of my questions.  Thanks so much for helping guys!

  • Connecting Web and the entire OTC cycle

Is it possible to connect all of the SAP OTC (order-to-cash) transactions to a website? I mean you will transact via website and that website will pass the data to SAP and SAP will pass back the data needed by the website in real-time? The company plans to use a tablet as front-end and we have a software (a sales automation software) that we want to pass data to SAP and vice versa. Our company is about to acquire SAP ECC 6.0 without CRM.
    1. Is this possible using IDOC?
    2. Can the website and SAP pass data (back-and-forth) to each other in real-time?
    3. Can it complete the entire OTC transactions (SO, DO, DR, billing)?
    4. Any suggestion?
    Please help. Thank you.

    Hi,
Yes this is very much possible and probably a very common scenario..
    These are the following possibilities:
    1)  The web based application should be able to call and be built to accept calls from APIs..which are called BAPIs.
We had a MTO based industry and we used BAPIs to enable functionality on the web..also check the part on synchronous calls.
    2) I've worked in a business , where orders used to be taken on PDAs/hand-held devices.. all these devices are connected to a common database and SAP interfaces all the master data and transaction data to this database and the DB connects kind of real time to the PDAs / hand held devices. However, you've to check about what all transaction data are you expecting and if IDocs are available for all of transactions you're looking for..
    I hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Raghu.

  • OTC ssl.conf file does not have ssl wallet file location details

    Hi B2B Gurus,
While doing the HTTPS configuration in OTC we observed that some of lines were missing in ssl.conf file located at <Oracle_Home>\Apache\Apache\conf. The below mentioned lines are missing in OTC’s ssl.conf but present in OracleB2B’s ssl.conf
Even ssl wallet file location is also missing in OTC ssl.conf file as mentioned below.
Can u please let us know as why these lines are missing or should we manually add these lines when we do HTTPS on OTC ?

We added the missing entries in ssl.conf file and tested it out. It is working fine. When we did slient install we are facing this error, we found that this is a bug in 10.1.2.3 AS patch (5983622) silent install. Raised an SR on this and Support is working to get this fixed.

  • SAP Treasury - Link a Purchase and Sale of an OTC transaction

    Hello All
We have implemented SAP OTC transactions (51A, 52A, 53A and 55A). We did not have the requirement to sell them when they were set up. However we got the requirement recently. We need to link the purchase and sale of a transaction and record the realized gain and loss. I dont see a way to link OTC transactions and there by post the realized gain and loss.
    Example:
If we buy a commercial paper (53A) on Jan 1 2014 maturing Oct 31, 2014 for a nominal amount of 10,000 at 98% payment rate, which will generate a payment flow of 9,800 on Jan 1 2014.
Now if we decide to come out of it (sell) on June 30, if the rates went down and we only get 9,000 of the nominal amount for the sale.
How can we have the system link these 2 to determine that we incurred a realized loss in this case?
Hove anyone had this situation before? Any help on this topic with be much appeciated and points will be rewarded.
    Thanks in advance!!
    Shilpa

Try TBR6 to link; may be reference category "REF"; then, from each transaction, you can go to Environment-Object links and see the linked transaction.
However, I don't know off hand, if it will let you do realized gain/loss on a net basis; in that case may be Securities module would be the solution.

  • MM condition need to flow to COPA

    Hi Expert
As there is a requirement from our business that there are some condition type in MM such as Freight , Loading and unloading, etc., expenses need
to be flow to CO-PA i had tried to assign all the step but still i am not able to generate the COPA document
Can anybody help me to fix this please guide with necessary step that can be useful to complete this task
    Thanks
    Trinath

    Hi
What is the accounting postings you are looking at before they should be posted to COPA? Are they part of the OTC cycle or PTP cycle? If these are on GRN, generally, these type of cost will be inventorized, which means they post to a B/S Account and not to a P&L Account?
Could you elaborate on the requirement to get them into COPA in the context of your accounting flow?

  • Order to Cash (OTC)

    Hi
I am confused the difference between normal sales to Billing process and Order to cash (OTC) process. Google also resulted different type of explanations, so decided to post this basic questions, I hope moderators don't make any objection ..
    1. What is the difference between OTC and Normal SD-Delivery-PGI- Billing process.
    2. What is the process steps involved in OTC.
    3. What are the document types & item categories involved in OTC.
Appreciated if you could answer with some screen shot.
    thank you
    MM

    Hi MM,
As you know order to billing is the standard sales order processing like
order - delivery - billing & release to FI.
    similar, in order to cash.
whenever customer place the order. based on shipping conditions system will generate the delivery document against this sales order. then pick-packing- goods issue will be done.
to create billing, will take order ref, instead delivery ref. the complete process known as "CASH SALES" process. after creating billing will release to FI. Then the value store in Cash account, instead revenues account like in standard sales order process.
For this we need determine cash account in config.
if you observe the Cash sale billing doc ( BV) type, you will find account key- EVV, which determines cash account to post the cash sales billing values in cash account.
You will get other side of answers too.
Hope it helps you to understand the difference between two processes.

  • Buy stocks on OTC Market

    Hi people,
we are implementing Transaction Management in Treasury. My client's requirement on following:
They have  agreement when they buy stocks on OTC market.
Step 1:  I make collateral to vendor
    Dr: Collateral
Cr: Cash or Bank clearing account
Step 2: I down payment to vendor
    Dr: Down payment
Cr: Cash or Bank clearing account
Step 3: I receive stocks and payment to vendor
    Dr: Stocks
    Cr: Down payment
Cr: Cash or Bank clearing account
    Please help me this case.
    Thank you
    Ms. Minh

    Hi,
Use securities module (within treasury management); product type 01A; transaction type 100. You can add flow types  for collateral, down payment and assign those to transaction type. Accounting entries can be controlled by account determination settings.
Use business partner (tcode: BP; role: counterparty) instead of vendor.
Use condition type (111 by default) for dividend. Would you have multiple purchases of the same stock? Then, you will need to be aware of the position (external position) concept; so you can post dividend for your position as opposed to for separate purchases.
    Create asset securities account TRS_SEC_ACC.
Once config is done, FWZZ to create class (stock master data, if you will); FTR_CREATE or TS01 to create securities transaction; settle; post using TBB1 for collateral, down payment etc., FWZE or FWSO to post dividend.

  • Just need to load Positions for legacy MM deposits

Just need some guidance for initializing only positions in SAP-TR.
Only initializing the balance position, none of the previous interests will be brought over.
    Thanks,
    Rahul

    Hi Rahul,
I would say there are at least a few methods how to load Positions for legacy OTC instruments, depending on their complexity:
    if complexity of your open deals - the ones which starts at some point before the migration date and matures after - is rather low, you can input them as original deals with all parameters - including interest flows - in this way you secure that you have no deviations between your SAP entries and previous system - either you enter them manually or use the existing BAPIs to import the existing OTC transactions automatically. Then, you have to transfer all flows prior to the migration date to the status 'Posted', without actually generating documents in the general ledger - to do this, use a transaction 'TBB1_LC - Flag Flows as Posted';
if your opens deals are rather complex - lots of nominal changes, like repayments, etc. - it might make sense to enter a deal as from chosen period to generate e.g. expected interest flow - so you define only balance position from certain date. You would still need to use the transaction TBB1_LC to to transfer all flows prior to the migration date to the status 'Posted'.
    hope this will help you.
    Kind regards,
    Renatas

  • Best Practice for unimplemented OTC project transports?

    Hello,
We implemented and went live with portions of ERP modules COPA, MM, GL(new), and Consolidations 2 years ago as a Phase 1 implementation.  Phase 2, which began directly afterwards, included CRM, OTC, and BW.  The problem that has come up is that due to numerous implementation issues, we have not gone live with Phase 2 and it is still undetermined when/if we will implement at least OTC in ERP.  We have a 3-system (Dev, QA, Prod) ERP landscape and are running into issues due to inconsistencies between QA and Prod.  All the transports related to the Phase 2 project were created in Dev and moved into QA, but due to the status of the project were never moved into Production.  We recently had an issue with moving changes to our operating concern through the landscape, due to the existing inconsistencies of the operating concern configurations between Dev, QA, and Prod which led to us not being able to re-activate the Operating Concern in Prod until we moved in additional transports that were tied to Phase 2.
My question is this...What would be the best practice/approach to resolving the inconsistencies in our ERP landscape to assure that we have accurate QA testing of our Phase 1 implementation, but also trying not to lose the existing Phase 2 development if we decide to implement OTC in the future?  I'm considering the below options:
    A)  Move all Phase 2 requests
    - Refresh QA (via system copy of Prod)
    - Move all Phase 2 transports that were originally moved into QA into the refreshed system and test existing Phase 1 business processes to determine risk of moving into Prod
    - Move all Phase 2 transports into Prod in order to maintain 3-system consistency
    B)  2 system consistency
    - Refresh QA (via system copy of Prod)
    - Leave all Phase 2 transports in import queue for QA, and maintain Prod/QA consistency only
    - OTC implementation can be realized with moving Phase 2 transports through QA at some point in the future
    C)  "Reset button"
    - Refresh QA (via system copy of Prod)
    - Refresh Dev (via system copy of Prod) - I'm not sure what technical considerations would need to be made around the development system's role as the origin of rep and dictionary objects and how this can be maintain in a system copy?
    - This would wipe out all Phase 2 development
I would greatly appreciate anyone's guidance on our options given our current scenario.
    thanks,
    John

I would suggest to go with the option A though it seems more work with this option. But this is the only option which can effectively work in the long run. With option B, you will not completely eliminate the problem and with option C, you will loose all your phase 2 work, which will be big waste of the efforts.
Additional advantage with option A is that whenever your organization decides to go-live with Phase 2 work then minimal regression testing will be required as most of your work will be already tested and verified. Regression testing and remediation is significant work whevever a solution is introduced in a working environment.

  • Need an opinion on RAM

Hey everyone. With Leopard coming out I have finally decided to buy 1Gb of Ram to up my computer to 1.5Gb of Ram total. I was wondering if anyone thought this (http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other%20World%20Computing/4200DDR2S1GB/) was a safe bet. I've purchased from OTC before but I've never purchased ram before. The specs I know are exactly what I need, but is it normal that it's only $30? It just sounds suspiciously cheap to me. Anyone?
    Thanks
    -Kagan

lol, the answer to that changes daily. The sticks I paid $150 for can probably be had for $20 these days.

  • TPM44 - new accrual functionality for OTC deals

    Hi,
We have EHP4 and still use the TBB4 transaction in order to calculate accrual for MM transactions. What should we do to work with the new accrual functionality for OTC deals released in the new version of TPM44?
I know that accruals/deferrals flows for OTC transactions that we executed with the old accrual/deferral function (transaction TBB4) in an earlier release, first need to be migrated (TPM migration). But I don't know how to start. Do I have to activate a business function? How I turn the key in order to not use any more TBB4 and start use TPM44 for MM transactions?
    Regards,
    ZucoGuti.

    Hi,
Before executing migration program, please check whether Treasury business functions (FIN_TRM_LR_FI_AN & FIN_TRM_LR_FI_AN_2) are activated or not in SFW5.
Also as a pre-requisite to do above activity, FINSERV component must be with 604 (EA-FINSERV 604)
Once above checks are completed you can run migration program which will regroup/change the configration for interest accrual in different places to single area under Accounting->Accrual Deferral Settings

  • Want information about OTC process?

    Hi All,
I would like to know is there any difference  in between Standard Sales order process and OTC apart from posting?
Like in Standard we use SO -
    Delivery---Picking -
    PGI -
    Invoice.
    In OTC    SO -
    Delivery---Picking -
    PGI -
Invoice --- Receivable posting  or I need to correct my process?
    Want information about OTC process.
    Thanks

in OTC, it ends with Customer payment.
