Outlook 2013 pdfmaker won't load

Hello.
I have Outlook 2013.  I found that the pdfmaker in my old (8) version of Acrobat would not work with it.
So I downloaded and installed the trial version of Acrobat XI Pro.
I have restarted my computer a couple of times in this process.  I am running Windows 7 64-bit.
In Outlook, pdfmaker is listed as inactive.  When I use the Manage COM Add-Ins and turn on pdf maker, it says that it is "not loaded" and that a "runtime error occurred during the loading of the COM addin".  The dll file is here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\PDFMaker\Mail\Outlook\x64\PDFMOutlookAddin.dll .
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the confusion here. We have already stated the symbol usage at the beginning of the doc.

  • Pdfmaker won't load in Word 2013, but does load in Outlook 2013

I have AA XI Standard (fully update) and Office 2013. The pagemaker add-in load in Outlook, but does not load in Word. (It simply does not load. It's not a case where the add-in is disabled or inactive. It does not load. Doesn't show up in the list of add-ins.)
I've repaired the AA install. I've repaired the OL install. No change.
    Frustrated.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
As you are saying that PDFMaker add-in is simply not loading in the add-in list of MS word.
Please exit all programs, open MS Word and go to File> Options> Add-Ins.
Now, in the 'Manage' label on the bottom, choose COM Add-Ins and click go.
Then, look for Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Add-In in the list.
If Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Add-In appears in the list but the checkbox beside it is not selected, then click the checkbox. Click OK. Then close and reopen the Office 2013 application.
If Adobe PDFMaker COM Add-In is not in the list of available add-ins, then click Add and choose PDFMOfficeAddin.dll from "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 11\PDFMaker\Office". Click OK. Then close and reopen MS Word.
Please check and let me know.

    Hello,
You can try the method in this thread:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/0a8a3dac-b786-4301-92d4-77c6c6fc08a9/gmail-and-outlook-2010?forum=outlook
    I paste the steps here:
    1) Navigate to File >> Options >> Advanced >> scroll down to the send/receive heading >> click on the send/receive button
    on the right
    2) On the right hand side of the send/receive groups window that opens click on the Edit button
    3) Un-check the "Get folder unread count for subscribed folders"
    4) under Received mail items, check the option "User the custom behavior defined below"
    5) In the window below that displays your Gmail folders just select inbox and leave the others unchecked
    6) click ok and then exit out of options and perform a send/receive to test if it is now working.
If above not working, please try to create a new mail profile and recreate your email account referring to this article:

  • Outlook / Office 2013 PDFMaker is Not working

I cannot activate the PDFmaker in Outlook 2013 (365 Small Business Edition).    I have downloaded a trial version of Acrobat XI Pro to make sure I have the latest version of PDFMaker.
I can see the plug-in in the Add-ins Panel. It has a load behaviour of Load at StartUp.... but when i come back to the Add-ins Panel it is still has a status of InActive.
Also, in Word I do not get any extra Ribbon commands (as per Adobe Tutorial.
I am a Win 7 64 bit, using 32 bit Office 365 and have checked that I am loading the 32 bit version of PFFMaker.
Help please. I have spent half a day troubleshooting this issue.
    Regards.

No mention of the Acrobat version. You need at AA XI at least and I think the updates are also needed. Otherwise, the upgrade to OFFICE 2013 has just required that you upgrade Acrobat also to be compatible with OFFICE.

  • Outlook 2013 crashes when PDFMaker add-in is enabled

Outlook 2013 crashes when the Acrobat v.11.0.3 PDFMaker add-in is enabled. Outlook 2013 will automatically disable the add-in.
The Outlook 2013 version is 15.0.4517.1509, 32 bit. Windows 7 Pro 64 bit is the OS.
Below is the screenshot of the Outlook Account Info page.
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

I was having to start Outlook 2013 two times every time I turned on my computer (running Windows 8.1 64-bit). The first time, Adobe Acrobad crashed Outlook, disabled PDF Maker, and closed. The second time Outlook started, told me it disabled PDF Maker, and gave me the option to re-enable. I then click to re-enable PDF Maker.
However, I tried LoriAUC's suggestion #1, to launch Outlook 2013 as Administrator. When I did that, Outlook just started up without disabling PDF Maker and without crashing. And PDF Maker remained availble to use within Outlook. That's the way it should always work.
So, I remember that Outlook ran fine with PDF Maker until this month of February 2014. I wonder what changed, Outlook or Acrobat Standard Edition so that Outlook crashes (unless running Outlook as Administrator).
In the meantime, I wonder how to make Outlook start as Administrator automatically without my having to do any extra steps. Or is there a better fix.

  • PDFmaker not converting Jpg attachments to emails in Microsoft Outlook 2013

I am having problems converting jpg attachments to emails in Microsoft Outlook 2013 using PDFmaker. I'm running Adobe Acrobat 11 and just updated it to the latest version and that did not solve the problem.
I can convert the emails and Word attachments and can convert the jpgs manually by saving them to my desk top and then adding them as attachments to the resulting PDF but I have several emails each was several attachments that I want to save and it will take me hours to do it manually.
I was thinking there might be some security setting on the jpgs that is preventing PDFmaker from automatically converting them.
I already confirmed that the Preference Conversion Setting is selected to include all attachments in the Adobe PDF. I also unselected the box that reads "block download of external content" but it did not help.

Manual method is a difficult task .You can easily transfer your mails from the Thunderbird to MS Outlook using third party conversion software.i faced the same problem.i tried the following utility. It converts all my Thunderbird accounts to a single PST.you can also try the free demo version of the software.

  • Outlook 2013 - BCC field won't auto populate with frequent email recipient.

Outlook 2013 - BCC field won't auto populate with frequent email recipient. In the TO or CC, if they enter the first initial of a recipient, it auto-suggests recipients. This does not happen in the BCC field. Is there an option to turn that on?

    Hi,
Does this issue happen to a certain client or many of them?
There is no separate option to enable/disable auto-complete for Bcc field.
Since auto-complete works in the To and Cc fields, it means the auto-complete is not corrupt. We may try turn off the Auto-Complete and turn on it again to see the result. To do this, go to
File > Options > Mail, scroll down to the
Send messages section, clear the check box before "Use Auto-Complete List to suggest names when typing in the To, Cc, Bcc lines". Click
OK. Check the box again, click OK and see the result.
We may also test it in Outlook safe mode. To do this, press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type
    outlook.exe /safe and press Enter.
Please let me know the result.

  • Wbs modeler won't load visio 2013 pro/office 365

    Hi,
I've installed WBS Modeler add-in onto my Win 7/Visio 2013 Pro/Office 365 laptop, but the Modeler won't load.  When I start Visio and check the addins, the WBS Modeler shows up as an Inactive Application Add-In.  When I check the COM add-ins, the
add-in shows up in the list, however the Load Behavior is: "Not loaded. A runtime error occurred during the loading of the COM Add-in.".  The location looks messed up too. It is: "C:Program Files (x86)\Visio Add-In for WBS Modeler\\WBSModeler.vsto|vstolocal".
I've uninstalled/reinstalled/repaired several times -- all with the same behavior.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Hi,
There is a similar issue, it says that we can use the 32-bit WBS modeler to run on PC. I faced the same issue using the 64 bit install, but the 32 bit version works well on 64 bit Visio
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2013_release-visio/does-visio-2013-have-a-wbs-modeler-add-in/bfa5a396-ad7d-4156-a2d4-c547002670d6
I reproduce on my PC, the 32-bit WBS modeler works normally on 64-bit Visio.
If there is anything I can do for you regarding this issue, feel free to post back.

  • Replacement option for pdfmaker in outlook 2013

It has been established that the pdfmaker doesn't work in Outlook 2013, unless I missed something.  I would like to know what are my other options ... I used the pdfmaker a lot and I want to download/buy something that does exactly the same within Outlook 2013.

    Hi Patske,
You can pay the upgrade price and purchase Acrobat 11.0 Pro.
You can navigate to 'Help' menu and select 'Check for Updates' and the software would automatically check for available updates which you can then download and install.
You can also manually download Acrobat updates from: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows
I would suggest downloading the trial version first and use it for 30 days to see if it suits you requirement and then purchase if required. There's no  difference between the trial version and the full version software. You can download it from: Download Adobe Acrobat free trial | Acrobat XI Professional

  • Folder order won't save in Outlook 2013

In my Outlook 2013 desktop client, I accidentally moved the position of my Inbox toward the bottom of my list of email folders. I have since moved my Inbox back to where I originally had it, but every time Outlook restarts, it goes back to where I accidentally
moved it... once. Apparently Outlook saved the position of my Inbox the
one time I moved it, but won't save it the many other times I fix it.
Can someone tell me how to work around or fix this bug?

    Hi,
Which type of email account are you using? POP3, IMAP or Exchange?
We may try to use the "Show all folders A to Z" option to reset the Mailbox folder list to its default order. To do this, right-click on the top level of your mailbox and select "Sort subfolders A to Z" and then restart Outlook
    to see the result.
Please let me know the result.

  • Word 2010 Macros won't run after installing Outlook 2013

Here is something I've never run across before.  I'm hoping someone here knows the answer...
One of my co-workers has Office 2010 Professional installed and has for a year or more been running Word 2010 using a macro that opens a form for additional user input for the document.
For some reason that I cannot understand at all, he loaded Outlook 2013 and Lync.  After doing this, his Word document will open but he cannot get the macro to execute the command button in the document.  The macro does not fire, so to speak.
We have checked the Trust Center and the macro settings are at the lowest level.  Still not working!
I have tried to simulate this by installing Word 2010 on my workstation where I have a full copy of Office 2013 Professional installed.  Interestingly enough, similar results occur.  I get a security warning that even though my Word 2010 instance
has macro security set to low, strips out the macro altogether.
I'm not all that interested in finding my problem but would like to get some advice on why he is having the problems after just adding Outlook 2013 and Lync.  They may be related .
    Thanks for any assistance.
    Robert Stroud

Repair did not seem to have any affect on the problem.
So a bit of clarification - client has 2010 Office Professional including all of the normal packages.  His company updated their machines to Outlook 2013 but did not touch any of the other 2010 packages except Outlook.  They also added Lync.
I can duplicate the problem using a 2013 installation of Office Professional and then adding Word 2010 via another installation of Office 2010.  Word 2010 was the only package from 2010 that I installed.
I have repaired the 2010 installation from the Control Panel.  The Repair Utility does not seem to do anything except force the default .docm to show the Word 2010 icon rather than the 2013 icon.
If I open my .docm file with Word 2010, I get macro warnings even though the Macro Security is set to enable all macros.
If I open my .docm in Word 2013, the file executes properly and the macro runs as it should.
What is it that happens when one or more 2013 packages are installed that breaks the 2010 package macros?

I uninstalled Norton 360 under windows xp and now I'm getting this problem that firefox will no longer load pages. IE and Outlook still work and I can access the internet with them, I can ping any website I like successfully but Firefox won't load any pages ... N

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; .NET CLR 1.0.3705; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; Media Center PC 4.0; .NET CLR 3.0.04506.30; .NET CLR 3.0.04506.648; InfoPath.2; .NET CLR 3.0.4506.2152; .NET CLR 3.5.30729)

I found a fix for this, not only firefox but several other networking programs were broken as well (Outlook and IE were ok for some reason) so I reasoned that the Norton uninstall was incomplete somehow - I had done it from the add/remove programs in the control panel. Sure enough that's not enough to release Norton's tentacles in your system, there's an uninstall tool on their website (a whole set of them actually) that managed to carve it out completely and after a restart everything was back to normal. My machines will definitely be Norton-free from now on ... N

  • ICloud Add-in for OUtlook 2013 not loading

I am tryng to sync Outlook 2013 (WIndows 7 Ultimate 64 bit)  with iCloud. It will just not load the Add-in!
I cna see the Add-in reference in the Registry. Apple.DAV.Addin is in  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins. Load behaviour is set to 3 as recommended. (I've tried it on 2 as well)
How is it that it the iCloud Add-in does NOT appear when I go into "View and Manage Log-ins" in Outlook? It appears under NEITHER 'Enabled' NOR 'Disabled' categories.
I am desperate to get this resolved... Can anyone throw any light on it ? Please?
Not sure what is rubbish.... iCloud or Outlook!
    Best wishes
    Nick Hepher
PS I have tried logging out of iCloud and signing back in.... probably a dozen times so far.. but with no success in solving this problem. I have also re-installed both iCloud AND Outlook. nothing works! SO PLEASE don't suggest those routes!

I struggled with this but found the answer.  You need to set the LoadBehaviour property in the Registry to 2 (Load at Start Up).
    Run RegEdit
    Navigate to here [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\Apple.DAV.addin]
LoadBehaviour will probably be sitting at 0.  Double click that to open, change it to 2 and you're done.
Open Outlook, the Add-in will probably still be inactive.  MAke it active, close Outlook, open it again and it should work...
