Outlook 2013 SBE issue: Emails sent to recipients appears incomplete

Hi all,
We are experiencing issues with Outlook SBE 2013. The emails received in the recipients inbox appears to be incomplete. However the email is complete when we got it in the phone and in the web access. The machine is running on MS Office SBE 2013 32-bit on
Windows 8 platform.
Can anyone help us please.
Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,
Does this issue happen to all of your clients or just certain ones?
Are the received messages missing images inserted (or other embedded items) or part of the email body?
Do you have any antivirus software installed? If so, please first try to disable the add-in that your antivirus installed in Outlook and then test again. See:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2854787
If you only missing some embedded items in the message, please check your Outlook settings under File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > E-mail Security, check if have the “Read all standard mail in plain text” check box ticked.
If so, untick it and test again.
Please let me know the result. If above doesn't fix the issue, please provide more information as I asked so that we can resolve it more efficiently.

    Hi,
Today, one of my users have the issue again, she is using Outlook 2003 on Windows 7 OS. Her fully
composed emails that were sent to recipients appears half of its content gone. She didn't realize it until her receipient informed them that the emails were either incompleted.
The frustrating part is that it happens randomly, hence, difficult to track.
Please advise what is the issue.

If you suspect they are being marked as junk and deleted, turn off the auto-delete. Being that Office is a Microsoft product, you should ask them how to do that: http://www.microsoft.com/mac.

  • Outlook 2013 & Hotmail (Tranferring Emails between Accounts, Syncing Issues, Categories)

    I would appreciate if someone could asssist me with the following Issues;
ISSUE 1 – Transferring emails between Hotmail accounts
I have multiple Hotmail accounts set up in Outlook 2013 on one of my PC’s. I also have the exact same set up using Outlook 2010 on other PC’s.
In Outlook 2010 i can easily transfer emails between Hotmail accounts just by clicking and dragging the email to the inbox of the other account.
    I am unable to do this in Outlook 2013. When i try i get a dialogue box with the following message;
"Cannot move the items. The folders you are trying to change do not support this operation. Could not complete the operation because the service provider does not support it."
    ISSUE 2 - Syncing Issues
I have this set up with multiple accounts on more than one PC. So when i access any of the PC's and click send receive, the Hotmail accounts are updated
to reflect the changes I made on any other PC (Ex. The emails that i left as Unread on the other PC will appear as unread on the PC i am at the present moment when I click sen/receive)
This doesn’t seem to be working as well on Outlook 2013 as it does on Outlook 2010. Example - When i click on send/receive i know that it should show only 2 unread emails but instead it shows
10 unread emails. This was never the case with Outlook 2010.
ISSUE 3 - Categories not syncing in Outlook 2013.
When i select a category on one PC using Outlook 2010, i noticed that when i go to another PC using Outlook 2013 and press send/receive it does show the category changes i have made.
I really enjoy using Outlook and Hotmail and have never even considered any other provider. I would really appreciate if someone could advise me on these issues, wether there’s something I can do to correct them or if there’s any intention of making any
changes so that the above will be fixed so that we can have the same functionality we enjoyed in Outlook 2010.
    Thanks

Any way  of being notified about this when it happens?
I'm going back to 2010 and would like to re-install 2013 when possible.
    Thank you.
It's on their list, but major changes to the EAS protocol is driven by Exchange and as it stands now, I don't think they will implement it before the next version of Exchange comes out. After that, the Outlook.com team needs to implement the new version
on their servers and Outlook needs to be updated to support it.
    The IMAP workaround mentioned in
http://www.msoutlook.info/question/765 is workable for migration scenarios.
As about getting notifications when it happens, following the
Outlook Team's blog might help but I'll announce it on my site as well (see my signature).

  • Outlook 2013 Sync issue forler has 4000 emails

    Dear All,
we have recently migrated users to exchange online. there was a user who has a large mailbox (11GB approx.) the migration has completed successfully but user's sync folder has more than 4000 objects as duplicated.
any idea on this is highly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Conflicts folder contains all the multiple copies of conflicting items between what are in your local cache (OST) and your mailbox on the server.
An InfoBar at the top of the original item advises you that a conflict for this item exists.
The conflicting item is stored in the Conflicts folder. Clicking the InfoBar will bring up a list of conflicting items and allow you to resolve the conflict by determining which item you want to keep.
If you still need the items which are listed in the Conflicts folder, verify if they still exist in your mailbox and also exist on the server by using OWA.
If they doesn’t exist in your mailbox, you’ll need to move these items to a folder to check if the changes get uploaded now. If you can see these items in the mailbox, you can just cleanup the folder.
In addition, Outlook 2013 contains an improvement as of the April 2014 hotfix to prevent these errors from being saved in the Sync Issues folder, you may install the hotfix to improve the functionality.

  • Outlook 2013 sync issues

I setup a new install of outlook 2013 this week - using pop3 and connecting outlook to my work gmail account.  I am receiving some messages but not all.  When i look back and forth b/t the actual gmail inbox and outlook 2013, there are several
(about half) of the emails not showing up.  Not in any other folders either (Spam, etc.). Also, when i send myself a test message, i receive the message (by checking in gmail directly) but dont receive it in outlook - rather i receive a bounced email
notification in outlook as if the email didn't go through.
    Need help....
    kevin

    Hi Kevin,
When you finished the configuration of your Gmail in Outlook, did you receive a test message with the subject "Microsoft Test Message"?
Does the bounced email notification sent from "Microsoft Outlook"?
Since you can receive the message from webmail, seems the outgoing server settings in Outlook is OK. I guess something is wrong with the incoming server settings. Please try to create a new mail profile in Control Panel and reconfigure your email
account according to the steps below:
    1. Login to your Gmail in browser and open the Settings panel. Click on the
Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab and verify POP is enabled and save changes. Select either:
    a. Enable POP for all mail
    b. Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on (recommended)
    2. Now, open Outlook and go to the Add New Account window. Select "Manual setup or additional server types" and click
    Next.
    3. Select "POP or IMAP". Click Next.
    4. Now, we need to manually enter the server settings for your account.
Your Name: The display name you’d like others to see.
E-mail Address: your Gmail address in full ([email protected] or [email protected] when using Google Apps)
    Account Type: POP3
    Incoming mail server: pop.gmail.com
    Outgoing mail server: smtp.gmail.com
User Name: your Gmail address in full ([email protected] or [email protected] when using Google Apps)
    Password: Your Gmail password
    Remember password: optional
Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): disabled
    5. Click More Settings button.
    Under Outgoing Server tab:
My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication:
    enabled
Use same settings as my incoming mail server:
    enabled
    Under Advanced tab:
    Incoming server (POP3): 995
Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
Outgoing server (SMTP): 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL or TLS
Leave a copy of messages on the server: disabled (Gmail holds a copy already by default)
More detailed configuration steps, you can refer to this:

  • Outlook 2013 Client - missing random sent items, not happen in owa.

    Hello,
We are working in our company with Exchange 2007 SP3 CU13.
We are experiencing some problems with one Outlook 2013 client installed on Windows 8.1.
He lose some random mails from "sent items" folder. But if you check the OWA, all mails are ok.
I have readed that there is some bug about this, but these comments are for two years ago. And I didn't find any great solution.
I don't think that the solution is to make a new rule to re-copy these sent mails to that folder.Re-create the user outlook profile don't seem to be another good fix. It's only a new start point.
I have activated client side troubleshooting.
    I would appreciate your help.

    Hi,
For Exchange Accounts in Outlook, the emails should sync between the client and the server. Since on the server the emails are there but some are lost on Outlook client, this makes me suspect there is a custom view applied on Outlook.
Start Outlook with the /cleanviews switch:
Press Win + R, type "outlook.exe /cleanviews" in the blank box, press Enter.
This will restore default views. All custom views that you created will be lost.
    Check the result then.

  • Outlook 2013 signature issue

    Hello,
I'd be very grateful if someone could help with the following query that I received from a colleague. This issue was raised after I asked all members of staff, to standardise their email signatures.
"I followed your script for this: my image comes out bigger than yours?"
    My instructions (the script) was:
Copy the attached .jpg image to your desktop
Select ‘FILE’ from the main navigation
Select ‘Options’ from the drop-down menu
Select the options for ‘Mail’ in the left hand column
Select ‘Signatures’ from the right hand column
If you’ve not already set up a signature, select “New”, give the signature a name and select “OK”
Having selected the name of the signature you want to edit, insert or update the text and image in the space provided.
Format the text, along the lines of my signature block below, adding or removing any elements (fax no, direct line, DX address etc.) according to your individual preferences
Set the defaults relating to when you’d like the signature to be used.
Any guidance about why the image is coming out larger when sent from a different email account/PC would be very welcome.
    Many thanks,
    Richard

    Hi,
There is a setting in Outlook 2013 that may reduce the size of images, if you have ticked this option, the email that you send may display the image smaller than the one other people send.
In Outlook 2013, click FILE -> Options -> Mail -> Message format -> Reduce message size by removing format information not necessary to display the message. Uncheck this option and click OK.
Now send the email again to check the result.

  • Outlook 2013 not receiving emails I get on my iPhone

Hello Everybody! Recently I updated my laptop to Windows 8.1 and got myself Microsoft Office 2013. I am having an issue with Outlook I am not being able to solve. Thing is that all the mails I get from my hotmail account to my iPhone are not reaching my
Outlook 2013 after I have synced it with my mail.
Master tip: the last mail I have received in my outlook is from September 7 2013, the exact date I first got my iPhone and synced my mail with it. I am more than sure that my iPhone is not letting Outlook receive the mails I get when they reach my cellphone.
Please help! I love using Outlook in my work and would like even more to use it at home, it's very useful.
Thanks in advance to anybody that reads this

    Hi Fernandomfs,
If you are connected with POP3 account and using various devices to download emails from the server, then it can create such disturbance in accessing emails. After downloading emails from the server, it get deleted them from the email server.
To fix this issue, enable the function “Leave a copy of messages on the server” dialog box from the account settings option. By enabling it and defining time period, you can even access those emails from the other application like Phone, tablet
    etc.

  • Outlook 2013 Outbox Issues

This is more of a fix to a problem I was having in that Outlook 2013 was sending "Sent" mail to the "outbox", as opposed to Sent Items.  After troubleshooting, (the Hotfix does not work for 2013), I found that the problem was only
occurring on IMAP setting as opposed to POP settings.  Once changed, Sent Mail was defaulted to Sent Items Folder.  No workaround was found for IMAP.

    Hi,
Have you checked the settings on the Webmail? If you log on the Webmail and send an email, will it be saved in the
    Outbox or Sent Items?
I have a Gmail IMAP account setup in my Outlook 2013, everything seems good: I send an email from the Gmail account, it will be saved in the Sent Mail folder.(Sent Items is the default folder that saves sent emails
in Exchange Accounts, the folder name depends on the ISP that you choose.)
You can create a new profile to setup your IMAP account, if it works well with the new profile, just abandon the old one and use the new one:

  • Outlook 2013 stops receiving email

Greetings.  I am having difficulty receiving email in Outlook 2013.
When I first start Outlook, it retrieves email without any problem.  However, after that initial download, the client will not receive any email.  If I exit Outlook, and re-open the application, it will download emails again, but it never updates
    again after the initial download.
    - Email is Exchange (Office365)
    - There are no error messages.  Outlook reports it is "Up to Date"
    - My phone connects to the same Office365 Email account (via ActiveSync), and receives emails with no problems
    - Office365 OWA shows emails as they arrive, with no problems
    - Issue only exists in Outlook 2013
    - PC is Windows 7 SP1, with all patches
    - All Office applications are fully patched
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
It seems that your email can't be received automatically. Please check whether the issue happens in Outlook online mode. If the issue only happens in Outlook cached mode, please
    create a new Outlook profile

  • SBS2011/Exchange 2010 + Outlook 2013 Flow Issues

    Hi everybody,
Some time ago I've configured a SBS2011 server for one of my customers.
The SBS2011 has exchange and sharepoint, these services work fine.
The exchange server is only being used for the calendars, no e-mail flow.
The company uses IMAP through an external hosting-server.
So in Outlook 2013 we configure 2 accounts, one exchange account and one IMAP account.
Configuring the clients isn't a problem, and all seems fine, the calendar works.
But when the e-mail flow starts, users wil receive the same email multiple times and it seems the system is in a loop. E-mail flow will stop or the users get the same e-mails multiple times.
I've checked multiple solution regarding Win8+Outlook 2013 and IMAP, (issue about an update and setting the right root folder), but nothing seems to help.
We installed Outlook 2007 on the clients and configured them with both of the accounts and the system works like a charm! E-mail and the calendar are working like it should.
But the company bought about 20 Office 2013 licenses, so we need to get this to work on the new Outlook.
I don't think there is a problem in the Exchange Server, but in Outlook 2013, possible because both of the accounts share the same OST file.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Been running my mind for months.
    With kind regards,

    Hi,
Based on the description, I understand Outlook uses the calendar via Exchange and email via IMAP, so there are two accounts setup in Outlook 2013, correct? Then how come they share the same .ost file? Please try to configure an individual .ost file
for both accounts, check whether the issue persists.

  • Outlook 2013 sending duplicate emails to my Blackberry

I have spoke to Blackberry and Microsoft tech support but neither could find a solution.  I have several email accounts on my PC running Outlook 2013 and on my Blackberrry Q10.
First, I receive an email on my BB.  Then, I also receive a duplicate on the BB once I turn on the PC and connect to wifi.  It can be many emails that come in all at once, all duplicates.
This does not happen, however, with every email account.  I have several inboxes in Outlook, and it only happens with the email accounts that are associated with one of the inboxes.
That particular inbox is associated with a Microsoft Exchange server, but it does not happen with the Exchange account.  I only get duplicates of emails from every account under that inbox.
    Please help, thanks!

    Hi,
What is the type of account configured in Outlook and Blackberry (POP3, IMAP or Exchange/MAPI)?
If you happen to have another smartphone (like an Android phone) around you, I'd suggest you have a try on it. This way, we'll know if Blackberry is the problem here.
I've just came across this thread in Blackberry support forum, it's well worth a look. Blackberry users had a thorough discussion on this issue:
Duplicate emails in BB inbox after using Outlook (Please Note: Since the web site is not hosted by Microsoft, the

Here is a KB article from Blackberry Knowledge Base, which listed out few causes and related resolutions for the issue of duplicate emails on the BlackBerry smartphone:

  • Outlook 2013 and OVI email

I have recently updated all my pc's to windows 8 and office 2013 (beta for now)
i seem to bee having issues with the Outlook 2013 being able to set-up my OVI email account.
there are no issues when using the windows mail platform in windows 8 which automatically pulls the settings and works very well, however, the Outlook 2013 cannot pull the settings automatically nor when i input manually, like before, does it accept it.
has anyone been able to get Outlook 2013 to connect to OVI.com Email with IMAP yet?
If so, can you please post what settings you are using so that I can try and duplicate it?
    settings already tried:
    imap.ovi.com
    smtp.ovi.com
    mail.ovi.com
    mail.ovi.com
    imap.nokiamail.com
    smtp.nokiamail.com
    nokia.pop.mail.yahoo.com
    nokia.smtp.mail.yahoo.com
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

For anyone who is having issues connecting your OVI mail with Outlook 2013, this is the way to set it up as below.  For some reason, as of the date of this post, Outlook 2013 will not automatically pull the settings and the traditional settings that we used to use, did not work.
note:  the windows mail version, which is the applications version on the tiles screen, works without issue. this is specifically for OUTLOOK 2013.
     Then clock on More Settings...
once this is complete, just click on OK and then continue through and you should have your OVI mail working.
