Outlook viewing attachments as imbedded

Lately, my attachments sent from Mail have shown up on receiving PCs imbedded and are not extractable. Even Macs using Outlook receive attachments this way.
Anybody get this? Is there anything I can do on my end? What's a mother to do?

Just wanted to provide a bit of my experience. When sending email from Mail to PC/Outlook Express, attachments (jpegs, gifs) were visible in the message body but the Outlook Express Attachments button was not visable. Troubleshooting a bit demonstrated that the addition of a signature to the outgoing message would cause the missing attachments button problem. Messages were RTF. After disabling the signature, the Outlook Express Attachments button returned.
After finding this thread and switching to plain text messages, I was able to use signatures and add attachments with no Outlook Express Attachments problem.

  • Is it possible to view attachments in calendar?

Is it possible to view attachments on an iphone when using the calendar?

As far as I know, not possible.  You can always install an older Mac OS X on your Mac using a separate partition.  See this tip:

  • Why can I no longer seemingly have the "option" in Yahoo Mail, to "View" attachments, and not just "download" them in my incoming emails?

When I use IE browser to open my YAHOO EMAIL "classic" or "New" account, and I open an "inbox email", I have the option of "viewing" attachments, or "downloading" attachments.
I used to have that "dual" option, seemingly, using Firefox Browser, which I prefer to use.
Now, when I open my "Classic" or "New" Yahoo Email Account/s, with Firefox Browser, I no longer have the option, seemingly, to "VIEW" the attachments, but only the option to "Download" them, which I prefer not to do.
I have tried this using the older version 3.6 and the new version 9 of Firefox with the same results. No "Dual Attachment Viewing/Downloading" option in Yahoo Mail anymore in either the "Classic" or "New" versions of Yahoo Mail.
Can I correct this or change this back to the older "DUAL" OPTION of "Viewing" and/or "Downloading" attachments...or is this just the way the New FireFox Browser works.?
This is only happening to me with YAHOO.COM Email Accounts.

Thank you! I suppected it would be in the settings somewhere. I' ve much to learn...get myself into trouble pushing buttons I don't really understand.

  • How do I view attachments in gmail

Attachments used to come up in their own window. Suddenly they started being treated like a downloaded file and there was an arrow on the toolbar. I did not like this method of viewing attachments so I deleted the arrow. Now the attachments go directly to my download file and I have to go there to read the file.
How do I get back to my original way of viewing attachments?

    # Click the menu button ([[Image:New Fx Menu]]) and choose Customize.
    # Click "Restore Default"
#Click the menu button again to exit
#Now you should see the arrow again
To open the attachments, click on the arrow then the name of the file.
Or click on the arrow, then "Show All Downloads"
I don't think there is a setting to open downloads in a new window as it was before.

  • Generic Object Services - View Attachments disabled for non admin user

    Hi,
I am using SAP 4.7 and the attachments created using table TOA01 - archive link are visible to an administrator user through Generic Object Services toolbox while same View Attachments option appears disabled for other non admin users.
    Kindly help !

    Hi Neha,
I'm sorry I don't have answer to your question but I wonder if you could help me.
I'm looking at OSS note 530792 to configure GOS 'create attachment' option to copy the attachments to the archive server. currently, these are written to the SAP office tables SOC3, SOFFCONT1, etc and I want to use the archivelink and SAPHTTP and copy to the archive storage.
Have you successfully managed to configure your system since you mentioned TOA01?
In the same GOS menu I've activated the 'Business document' option and can copy these to the archive server by correctly configuring OAC2 and OAC3.
I'll really appreciate of you could please share your knowledge.
    Thanks.

  • Outlook view settings not saved

I have one user who looses all View settings when restarting Outlook. Occasionally they will save, but it is very rare. Setting the Reading Pane to Off is one good example of a setting that does not save.
The creation of new Views is also not saved. After restarting Outlook, the new View does not appear in Manage All Views.
I have tried creating a new Outlook profile and I'm told that Office 2013 C2R has been re-installed since this problem started.
Outlook 2013 Click-To-Run via an Office 365 E3 subscription. Exchange Online mailbox. Windows 7 Pro 32-bit.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,
Basically, Outlook view settings are stored in the default data file. If the data file is corrupt or recreated every time Outlook restarts, the view settings may be not saved.
Does the user use Outlook with Cached Exchange mode enabled? If so, please go to
C:\Users\%username%\Documents\Outlook Files and check if you have multiple .ost files in the folder.
In addition, you may try to switch to turn off Cached Exchange mode and then test this issue again.
Please let me know the result.

I cannot view attachments sent thru an email nor can I view anything sent from store advertisements. When the Gap sends me an email and I open the email I cannot view the pictures or advertisement's. The picture looks like it would if it were sent to my trash. I am an old iPhone user.
    Thanks.

Glad that worked, android is a learning curve we all get those moments.

  • View attachments in message

How can I toggle on/off the view attachments function in Mail?. It is currently off (I did something) and now can't seem to return to the default view. Thanks in advance.

Carolyn thanks for your response. I was actually referring to the ability to view the attachment in the body of the message rather than the QuickLook function - so for example, a photo would actually display in the body of the message without using the cmd y. This is the default state, but during my endless tinkering I did something to prevent attachments from automatically displaying. Which I now just remembered - it is an option in Cocktail! Thanks for the assistance!

  • Unable to view attachments in emails.

Recently updated the phones software and now I can't view attachments in my emails.
My wife has the same phone, 8100 pearl, and she did not update and can still view them.
I have tried looking everywhere I can to fix this, but no solution.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

It sounds like you updated the software using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software, so you should be able to go into application loader and find the application.  Once the list of applications comes up, look for the one that shows BlackBerry Attachment Service and click on the box.  Complete the loading process and you should be good.  One thing I would suggest is to complete a backup prior to making any changes on the BlackBerry.

  • View attachments as icons

I have a simply question. What can i do for viewing attachments in mail as icons?
I have the same in panther and in tiger. Deactivating the preference seems haven't any effect. Can anyone help me?
    PowerMac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

All image type and smaller PDF attachments (1-2 pages) appear inline or viewed in place within the body of the message by default when attached to a message which cannot be turned off.
If preferred, you can control-click on the viewed in place attachment and select View as Icon.
Regardless, such attachments are sent as true attachments to the message and depending on the recipient's email client and available preference settings, the attachments may appear inline or viewed in place when the message is opened (such as the Mail.app) or as attached files which must be opened separately for which we have no control over.
The preference pane you are referring to is for HTML received that contains embedded images and/or objects that must be downloaded from a remote server to be viewed and you do not want to automatically render all HTML received. This has no effect on receiving image/picture files that are attached to a message.

  • View attachments in list view, similar to the save dropdown

I've searched for this, but it doesn't seem anyone has had this specific request yet...
I want to view attachments I receive in list view, with small icons so I can quickly reference files by name rather than an icon with no visual representation and a truncated filename. Similar to how the flyout 'save' menu represents the files. I would use the save list, but I want to open the file from mail quickly rather than saving it and then opening it from finder.
See the example of what my messy attachments look like:
    http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/102172/cluttered.png
I just downloaded Mail Attachment Iconizer, but it's worthless. It shows the same icon view with full, long filenames which actually makes it harder to find what I'm looking for.
I need something that allows list view. I fear I might have to go back to T'bird. :/

I tried the rollover trick, and it apparently only works when you rollover the attachments at the bottom on the email. It would be nice if that worked at the top of the email when I click the little black attachment triangle. Scrolling to the bottom of the email to hover over links isn't convenient.
Also, the hover-over filename isn't quickly digestible because it gives you additional superfluous information such as downloaded status, mime type and "Control click for menu". See screenshot:
    http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/102172/additional-info.png
The QuickLook option isn't what I want because I need to find things by filename, often from a large batch of attachments which I have never seen before, so seeing them as thumbnails doesn't really help.
So, from those suggestions I guess the unfortunate answer is Mail.app doesn't have a simple filename view and I have to use something else.

  • Webaccess 8.2: Unable to view Attachments

Our users are unable to view attachments.
When trying to View a file the rendering file view window opens but all that is diplayed is a blank window. The attachments can be opened and saved.
The attachments can be viewed using the GroupWise desktop client on the same PCs used for testing.
Webaccess is running on a Windows 2008 r2 server.
The only document types that appears to be affected are those of MS Office 2003 and 2007.
I have tested using IE 8 and 9, Firefox and Chrome on both Windows XP and Windows 7 PCs.
I hope this is enough information.

That should be 8.0.2, dohh. :-[
We have two clustered webaccess servers. The active one has 6 process instances of GWDVA.exe*32 running and 1 each of
    GWINTER.exe*32 and gwmta.exe*32.
Below are the relevant lines from the relevant ####web file in " :\WEBACCDM\wpgate\WEBAC80A\000.prc". As far as I can tell there is no error indicated.

  • How to hide subfolders in Outlook view in iPhone

Need to hide all subfolders tht comes over from Outlook into my iPhone, takes forever to scroll down when all is showing. Is there a way?

Humm....... you want to hide it in Design View whilst working on the rest of the site?
If that is the case set the menu container <div> to display: none; -
    <div id="menu" style="display: none;">This is the content menu</div>
Then either set it to display: block; when you're ready to view it live or remove the style completely.
