Override calculated tax distribution account in PO-matched R12 AP invoice

Hi my friends,
Can you tell me whether it is possible to override the calculated tax distribution account in PO-matched AP invoice in R12 version? Is there any options to control it?
We found we can override the calculated tax distribution account in normal AP invoice in R12. But we can't do that for PO-matched AP invoice in R12, while we can do that in 11i.
Thank you in advantage.
Best regards,
Ning

Hi Ning:
Please check if 'enforce tax from reference doc' flag at the configuration owner tax options is checked. If this flag is checked, the tax would always be enforced from the PO, and overrides will not be considered.
Uncheck this flag and try overriding tax lines after matching.
Hope this helps !!

  • Distribution account for po match invoice

    Hi,
If we match invoice to po what will be the distribution account(gl account) in invoice .Please give detail information.
    Thanks
    Guru Prasad.

Payables automatically creates invoices distributions based on the purchase order distributions. After you create the invoice, you can view the distributions created by the match in the Distributions window of the invoice workbench.

  • An unique tax distribution line in one AP invoice in R12

    Dear my friends,
Could you tell me if it is possible to generate only one unique summarized tax distribution line for all item-type lines in AP invoice in R12?
Now, we found, after calculating tax, the system generate tax distribution lines for item-type lines one by one.
    Thank you in advantage.

  • Calculating tax condition amount

    Hi all,
I am  confused on how the system calculates tax conditon amount (let' say MWST) in sales order. In my system the tax condition type mwst has a condition record maintained of 4%  thru VK11 and a tax code V0 assoicated with it.
The base value for calculating the tax amount for mwst is taken from the SD pricing procedure and so the tax amount is calculated in sales order.... However I need to know that in FTXP for the tax code V0, there is a tax rate of 4% maintained against it and an account key mws and a GL account. Is MWST also maintained in FTXP for the relevant tax procedure for 4% ???. I need to know whether for posting to tax GL account for condition type mwst, does the system calculates the tax amount thru tax procedure  and if yes then how the system takes the value of BASB (base amount )in tax procedure in FTXP  for calculating the tax amount.
    regards
    sachin

    Hi Sachin
Is MWST also maintained in FTXP for the relevant tax procedure for 4% ???. I need to know whether for posting to tax GL account for condition type mwst, does the system calculates the tax amount thru tax procedure and if yes then how the system takes the value of BASB (base amount )in tax procedure in FTXP for calculating the tax amount.
The values maintained in FTXP are just for record purpose. For every Tax we should have a particular GL account, so that we can find the total tax in a period of time whenever required.
But the actual calculation of tax is happening at pricing procedure level only. Tax is calculated based on base price in pricing procedure. Also assigning that amount to GLs assigned against them in VKOA.
    Hope this clarify your doubt.

  • AP invoice tax varience account for inventory item invoices

    Hi Friends,
When we match the AP invoice to the PO (inventory item PO), the tax variance account is picked form the inventory organization parameters. We want it to be defaulted to the Accrual account instead of the variance account given in the inventory parameters.
We are on 12.0.5. How can we achieve this, Please suggest

  • Calculating tax using EB Tax

    Hello Gurus,
Can you tell me at what level does Oracle calculate tax using EBTax…is it at the invoice line level or can it go down to Invoice distribution level? Since distribution may have a taxable event and one invoice line may have multiple distributions, calculating tax at the invoice distribution level is more accurate. How can this be achieved?
    Thanks!

  • GL Account Balance Not Matching

    Hi,
    We are running SBO2007 PL42.
We have a GL account where the balance on the front screen under Financials --> Chart of Accounts does not match the balance displayed when you drill down into that account.
The balance shown when drilling down is the correct one.  Is there any way to fix this?
    Thanks,
    Michael

    Michael
If it is only on one GL Account then it need to be investigated and there is not one simple answer to explain this.  There could be a rounding issue as Gordon mentioned or the reconcilled balanced displayed is perhaps not correctly calculated.. many different factors could contribute to this.

  • Tax related account

    hi,
    1) what is the use if the account has tax category maintained in fs00?
when i do miro, if the expense account is tax relevant account, then tax amount will be calculated when click calculate tax button.
if the expense account is not tax relevant account, then tax amount is 0 when click calculate tax button.
    correct?
    2) dr expense 100 cr vdr 100
        with tax 5% then
        dr expense 100
        dr tax            5
        cr vdr          105
although the account is subjected to tax, the expense account  amount still the same. so what does it mean subject to tax?
    thanks

    hi
If the a/c has tax category mentioned in fs00 the system determines
    1) if the a/c has to be used for tax-relevant postings,
    2) if it is a tax a/c .
In option one, you can classify the G/L account for output tax only OR for input tax only OR permit both input and output tax.
To answer your second question, yes the expense a/c serves as the base to calculate the tax, even though the tax amount is not added to it but posted to the relevant tax a/c.
    I hope this helps.

  • Does anyone have documentation regarding the distribution accounting type of APAF?

The AP Accounting Entry Type (distribution accounting type) as delivered by PeopleSoft we are most familiar with is "APA" which stands for Accounts Payable Accrual.  We are not able to find any reference or documentation regarding AP Accounting Entry Type "APAF".  However, after analyzing the AP payment accounting transactions associated with APAF, we believe that the APAF type only shows up when a credit is deducted from a payment.  The AP voucher that has the APAF type is the last voucher that indicates that the entire credit amount has been applied to that particular payments.  A credit amount may take several vouchers to be fully applied.  Documentation or authoritative information would be helpful.

  • R12 Payables Open Interface - Invalid Distribution Account

    Hello All,
I am trying to run the payables open interface request in our R12.1.3 (test) instance. This is for a speicific expense batch. What is happening is in the same batch, some invoices got pulled in. However, a large portion of them got rejected due to 'Invalid distribution account'.
As such for the rejected invoice, the AP_INVOICE_LINES_INTERFACE has valid ids for DIST_CODE_COMBINATION_ID. However, the DISTRIBUTION_SET_NAME and the DISTRIBUTION_SET_ID are null. But they are null for an invoice that was successfully pulled in the same batch. Don't understand why!!??
I tried to run it in debug mode for a specific rejectd invoice in the interface/lines. That did not throw much light on what it could be.
I found a metalink note R12: APXIIMPT: Payables Import Rejecting All PO Invoices With Invalid Distribution Account Rejection Code [ID 1313553.1]...but this cannot be because, first of all some of the invoices made it through in the same batch. Also, other expense batches went through ok. So, I don't think it is a patch issue as outlined in that note.
Any suggestions as to what it could be?

    For whatever it is worth....
This is resolved by ledger set up--> Accounting Setups and adding the balancing segments for which the accounts relate to.

  • Activate Open Item Management for a tax GL account

    Hi experts
I have tried different options and explored forums but haven't been able to find the solution as yet.
I have some tax GL accounts (Tax Category field in their GL master is < or > i.e. Input or Output Tax Account). There have been postings to these accounts but these accounts are not open item managed. To perform clearing for these accounts, I need to activate OIM for which I'm trying FAGL_ACTIVATE_OP but the system gives me error"
"Not possible to determine tax indicator in company code xxxx
Company code xxxx is not considered for the activation"
When I further drilldown the error, i find the following information:
    Diagnosis
Postings to the selected account require a tax code. On the basis of the company code data (T001), the system tried to determine a tax code for zero tax. However, there is no such tax code stored for the company code.
    Procedure
Specify the tax code for zero tax in the company code. You do this in Customizing for Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) under Assign Tax Codes for Non-Taxable Transactions.
I have checked settings in OBCL for Non-Taxable Transactions and found that I0 and O0 are maintained for Input and Output tax (also tax jurisdiction). In Table T001 I also find these entries so these seem to be complete.
Can somebody please help me sorting out this issue.
    Many thanks!
    Moazzam

    Hi,
Some G/L accounts cannot be managed on an open item basis,
specially G/L accounts that are used in account determination for
automatic transactions (ie: accounts set up as bank accounts, Tax
accounts, raw material accounts, reconciliation accounts, profit and
    loss accounts).
It is the standard design of the FAGL_ACTIVATE_OP that there is no
conversion of a tax account to open item management.
Processes as the posting of the sales/purchases tax payable do not
process any clearing transactions therefore the open item management is
not necessary. Clearings must really never be posted to an input VAT or
output vat tax account, otherwise it would prevent subsequent processes
on the actual open items (Customer or vendor). The only tax account on
which the open item management should be possible is the G/L account of
    the deferred tax.
Hope my information was helpful for you.
    Regards,
    Cristiano
