Unable to create attachment view link in jdeveloper
Hi ,
I am trying to configure an Attachment view link in Jdeveloper - using FUSIONAPPS_11.1.1.5.1.linux_x64 series.I followed the steps mentioned in the developer guide.
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E25178_01/fusionapps.1111/e15524/ui_attachments.htm#BABFJBFH
I am getting an error
java.lang.NoClassdDefFoundError : Could Not initialize class oracle.apps.fnd.applcore.oaext.model.OASeedDataProperty.
I traced this class file to mw_home/jdeveloper/jdev/oaext/adflib/Common-model.jar and added in the model project library class path.
Please let me know if someone has faced this issue and the resolution.

Attachment Viewer SMP 2.3 ERROR
Hi Experts,
I'm trying to attach a pdf with the attachment viewer control but i get an error 'Download attachment gets empty response', i already read the following post but
http://scn.sap.com/thread/3235204 , i have an MBO
And my RFC definition:
And the logic of content is the follow
The variable BIN_FILE is type xstring so i assign to CONTENT
It should work with that or i forgot something. Please help me with this i'm stuck!!While testing use small image. Upload a small image to SAP and try to fetch it to device. In RFC too you can test it, since the image is small the generated base64 string will not be too large and convert that result from RFC to image again through any base64 to image converter online, ex.Base64 Online - base64 decode and encode. There by you can make sure that the RFC converted values are correct.
Keep the logs of server to debug level as given below and check the logs of the server after making a call to attachmentviewer from HWC. The logs (C:\SAP\MobilePlatform\Servers\UnwiredServer\logs) should contain the field basse64 converted string, you can copy that string and convert to image online or you can try comparing the string you got from RFC (when a image is converted to base64 format the string length will be 1000s of length, so use small images for testing).

Disable in line attachment view on ipad
The attachments on my email apear as thumbnail images after the body and I would like them to appear as icons. This view does not allow me to open the attachments in another application as "open in..." option but it no longer appears. Is there a setting that can be changed? I read somewhere that it is called "in line attachment viewing" but I think it only applies to Mac...any advice on the ipad?
Please help. There is no settings to change the way that the attachments open in the mail app. However - you can use the Open in feature even on the opened attachment. If it doesn't work for you, quit the mail app - go back and try again.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Launch mail and try again. It really should work. Tap and hold down longer - but it should work. -

Webmail and inline attachment viewing
Hi there,
We're running a slightly older version of iMS, 5.2p1, and we have a quesetion about the webmail interface.
We've put in an anti-spam beastie called the Barracuda. This box sends each user a spam summary and sends the report as a HTML. The webmail does not allow us to view the attachment inline and the user is forced to click on the text/html link, which many people are very wary about (but still happily run Outlook...go figure...)
The message is encoded in base64 and so webmail thinks it's plain text. It works in Thunderbird and Outlook clients happily.
Anyway, I know the answer is 'upgrade' but is there a fix in 5.2p2 or 6.x? Is there a workaround until we move to a new box which will 6.x sometime in the new year...?I think the Barra just sends something for Outlook to understand and doesn't give a rat's about anything else, particularly webmail.
www.barracudanetworks.com is the device which, thanks to a colleague who is rather more clever than I am, talks to LDAP and lets you do single sign-on using your existing LDAP server.
The report is actually just a summary of what your account on the box has done and I think webmail probably thinks there's something naughty about it and won't render it. Just curious to see if we can fix it quickly or whether we need to upgrade to fix it.
thanks again,

List of document with attachment view
In FB03 Report, we can able to view all the document. but there is no option to see what are all the document have attachment created. can you suggest is it possible to see the list of document which is having attachment. or any other alternate solution.
Hi:
We once had the same requirement and we developed the Z report for the same for OBJECT : BELEG ARCHIVE_HANDLE LOCAL_CAT . If you could go to FB03...Display the document...go to menu..extras...text...double click note and again go to menu ...goto...header ...Now go to SE37....FM: READ_TEXT..giving inputs you will get the info..Based on the same logic you can develop a Z report. I hope this will help you.

Customizing attachment views in Mail
When I attach a file to Mail, I would like three things:
(1) show up at the top, not below in the text of my email
(2) show up as a name, not an icon
(3) be able to have the full long name visible, instead of just a few characters
Any idea how I can set it up to do that? This isn't possible. Attachements are appended to an email, after the body, per RFC standards; it's not going to change. If all you had was a name, then there would be no attachment, so you can't have that, either. Depending on how long the full name is, it may be abbreviated when you attach it.
Sorry,

Word 97-2003 attachements not viewing in quick view
for some reason, my mail app (and finder) does not show a quick view for word 97-2003 attachements (the ones ending in .doc) whereas .docx and the other office 2007 attachements view perfectly. I have VM ware installed and use it for opening both types of attachements but it does not seem to prevent .docx attachements for quick view, why do the older formats not work in quickview?
pAlso, you can download these free MS Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to view (but not create or edit) these files.

Can desktop manager be configured to view email attachment?
Hi,
I have posted this question few times before and still have not gotten a definite answer. Can someone confirm if I can configure the desktop manager to view email attachment? If so, how do I achieve it? I am not one BES or BIS.
I have looked at the below KB and tried using the application launcher to install the attachmen service, however, it was not available in the application loader wizard.
http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB04279&sliceId=SAL_Pub...
configuration
Blackberry 8300
Desktop Manager 4.3
Thanks
Solved!
Go to Solution.First of all if you are nither BES nor BIS then there is no question of integrating email IDs in your device. Meaning no possibility of viewing email attachment in your device. For using any BlackBerry features you have to have a BlackBerry data plan. Please clarify this point.
Now regarding attachment viewing through Desktop Manager configuration is not possible. There is no such option in BlackBerry.

How to attach link in navigation bar to a particular view
Hi,
i have created a new component and added views to it . I have created logical links in work centre link group . Now i want to attach views to links. Not getting how to do that ..
Any pointers will be helpful .........
thnks
kanikaIf you go to the Properties for the Folder in Discoverer Administrator, there is a Dependents tab that should list any workbooks using the folder. This only works for workbooks saved to the database, so won't help with any created using Discoverer Desktop. If you are gathering statistics and have the The Discoverer V5 EUL business area and its workbooks installed, it can tell you about Folders Used as well. It contains information about queries run whether the workbook is saved to the database or to the file system, but wouldn't contain inforamation about workbooks that had been created but not run.

If I access OWA from mobile, default owa view is auto changed to narrow view.
May I know how can I disable the OWA Mobile View and set all session to desktop view?
Thanks & Regards,
Nay Lin
Nay Lin Oo [ Systems Engineer ]Hi ,
On the windows phone , if you go to the internet explorer browser settings we can able to change the website preference from mobile version to desktop version .
Based on my knowledge we don't have the option to set those settings through owa mailbox policy.
Same time please try to open your owa account on some other mobile phones as well as you can change the browsers version to check the issue on the same device.
Please reply me if anything is unclear.
Thanks & Regards S.Nithyanandham
