Package registration inconsistency
Hello!
I have a server with a "partially" removed instance TCD.
Unfortunatly the deinstallation was not made by "sdbuninst". I now have trouble to
create a new instance TCD on this server (which says "instance already excists").
Looks like some kind of registration inconsistancy for me, how do I completely remove TCD? (the other instance, TCQ shall reside running on the system, so I dont want to remove the sapdb kernel)

Hello Fredrik,
is the server software in /sapdb/TCD/db still available?
You may check this with sdbverify.
I am afraid the software is not avaiable but the database entry already exists.
In this case a
> dbmcli -s -d TCD -u <usr>,<pwd> db_drop
should work.

Pacman package name inconsistent problem
greetings!!
i recently installed archlinux with a core distro, however when i try to install some packages using pacman , it always meet some problems in downloading package files. for example, when i issued the following command
# pacman -Sy
# pacman -S packagename
the pacman will show me a error message like this:
Failed downloading /linux/........./packagename-1.1.1.pkg.tar.gz
from mirror.some.host: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found
i compared the package file name listed in the package.txt of the source folder, and find that the packagename is actually different from the filename that pacmand requested.
say, the package file name in the server is package-1.1.1.i686.pkg.tar.gz, but what pacman trying to get is package-1.1.1.pkg.tar.gz
could you please tell me how can i sync up the package file list with the server?????
Thanks a lot in advance..thank you toofishes
I have manually downloaded the package files that required by pacman , and renamed them by removing "i686" between filename and ".pkg.tar.gz", and it worked nicely, after upgraded pacman, everything become just fine.
but after doing that, i met an unexpected kernel panic after reboot. please refer to the following thread.

Yes, if the package isn't registered, the logical nsURI is used as the
physical location URI.

Error Message: Planning level is inconsistent
Hi,
I've created planning level with 25 planning packages. I then created 10 global planning sequences comprising of one or more packages from the same planning level. The planning sequences were executed successfully. Now suddenly the sequences are giving error that all the planning packages are inconsistent.
Any Idea?
Thanks in advance,
SKHi,
Have you made some changes in the Planning level like deleting some key figures, adding some restrictions on the characteristics, removing some characteristic etc.
If you do something at the planning level without making sure that the corresponding changes have been taken care of at the Planning package level, then you would get this error message.
Navigate to the planning package in change made and most likely the system will prompt you of the changes done in the higher level planning objects.
hope it helps. -
Dispatcher dies after startup - sapdb / libpcr
We have a NW04 server on Windows whose primary purpose is as an XI hub.
It was recently moved from one network to another (same machine name) and initially worked properly, but is now not starting up.
I just had to extend the data volume, as it was full, if thats of any relevance.
It seems to be having issue loading "libpcr". I did some searches, and re-registered the library, as well as setting the SABDBLIBDIR env variable. To no avail.
Here's the trace of dev_w3, which seems to be the first process that dies:

LCAPPS Vs SAP LiveCache Kernel
We are on SAP SCM 5.0
Our SAP "LCA Build and Patch Level" is at "50.13 PL 005 " and based on the documentation, the required SAP liveCache Kernel is "7.6.03.08 " but, we are running a version of " 7.6.03.12 ".
Is this OK ? or do we have to downgrade the kernel back to "7.6.03.08" ?
Pl. advise,
Thank you,
Ravi kandukuri

GEtting "cannot get uid of user "sdb" while installing patch 19 for
I'm applying patch 19 for Livecache 7.7 on a solaris system. When I execute the sdbupd , I get this error when it tries to load the appropriate software updates.
We have the sdb user defined in our system as "sdblvs" lvs is our sid. It does exist locally and is locked.
Do not understand why it is loooking for "sdb" as opposed to "sdblvs"
Any ideas?Sorry, I mispoke - it's 7.7.03.22.
To get around it, we just defined the user "sdb" with the same uid as sdblvs. So we are past it, but are wondering what is going to happen next time we patch. Seems there is something wrong with the install as it is looking for sdb.
Here is the output you requested post patch:

E 72 Hang issue, battery discharging, Keys wrongly...
I am a customer of Nokia India. I bought a Nokia E 72 handset on 21 March 2010.
After few months there are continuous problems with the handset, several times it has been formatted by Nokia Care centers.
Store ID: 212_433527
Date of Purchase of handset: 21/3/2010
Nokia Care Protect package, Registration no: 30682000790413. Date: 12/03/2011, Warranty Ref No: GLBINY510844832
Current reference no of complaint job sheet: 212433527/110331/27 ; Date: 31/March
Case History
From june 2010, the handset is encountering continuous problems like low battery, keypad not working properly, it hangs on, phone book not responding etc.
For battery issues I submitted the handset, and service centre guys formatted it, but issue never got resolved.
I gave the handset on repair to Nokia care, the guys said it is not repairable here in Udaipur and will go to Delhi.
It took 25 days to get handset back, and I was unaware that Nokia provides a loaner handset and no one from service centre told me that.
When I got my handset back in mid February 2011, the problems still prevailed and I gave it back to Nokia care. This time it took 15 more days
to get back the set. I got a swap in third week of March 2011, after using the swap for 1 week, there were some issues of Board related errors.
I gave back the swap on 31 march.
Now it has been 13 days I do not have a handset I bought for RS. 18,500/- and I have a mismanaged life because of this device issues from past 3 months now.
I am facing severe issues on my business front from January 2011. Some times I lost all my contacts, meetings, emails and so on and on and on.
Nokia says “SUCCESS DOES NOT NEEDS A DESK”-IF YOU KEEP OUR DEVICE WITH YOU FOR 3 MONTHS, SUCCESS WILL NOT WAIT FOR US.
The Nokia care centre is hopeless and helpless. It is RAMA Telecom, Udaipur (Rajasthan).
I request you to kindly provide me with a brand new NOKIA E 72 handset as soon as possible. I am very much frustrated with the delay and problems in relation to this handset has become intolerable for me.
Please look into the matter as soon as possible for you, I do not want someone else’s used handsets for a swap deal with your company. I need my original handset or a brand new handset.

Passing values to JavaBean function using jsp scriplet
Hi,
I have a JavaBean funtion that is SaveData(parameters)
which save the values from HTML form.
Now i want a code for pass the values from HTML form to SaveData() function using jsp scriptlet.
I used the code
<jsp:useBean id="JDBC" class="bean.JDBCBean" scope="application"></jsp:useBean>
<%=JDBC.saveData(phonenumber,manufacturer,model,email,country,newsletter)%>
Here
JDBCBean -> Bean Name
phonenumber,manufacturer,model,email,country,newsletter ->HTML form's text values
But it didnt work properly.
Anyone help me to correct this.Hi,
i have the same code like above
I have to pass the parameters with form name under the following code.
<jsp:useBean id="JDBC" class="bean.JDBCBean" scope="application"></jsp:useBean>
<%=JDBC.saveData(registration.phonenumber.value,id_type.value,id_style.value,registration.email.value,registration.scountry.value,player_type.values)%>
Here
registration -> HTML form name
But i got the error for
package registration does not exist
out.print(JDBC.saveData(registration.phonenumber.value,id_type.value,id_style.value,registration.email.value,registration.scountry.value,player_type.values));
How to i correct this?
Anyone help me...... -
How to add mathematical equations?
I would like to place some mathematical equations (created using a LaTeX system) on a Photoshop page as a vector object. How can this be done?
But my question was actually not about an equation editor. I use LaTeX based software to create and edit my mathematical equations. I do not need an equation editor.
I did find out that if I used the copy-and-paste capability of Windows (Vista 32-bit) for copying equations (displayed on the screen) that InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator all failed (incorrect results) and the pasted results obtained were all different. This means that these package are inconsistent in how they handle information stored in the clipboard.
I did find another way to copy-and-paste mathematical material which is as follows:
1) Create a PDF document that contains the mathematical material that I wish to put into these packages.
2) Copy-and-paste from the PDF document to these packages.
This works on my system! -
Installed Tiger, now Pro is gone!
Hello there! I recently installed the new Tiger OS, and everything seems fine. Now I have gone into use Quick Time Pro for the first time since the upgrade and all my pro features are gone! The registration details are all gone too! Aarrgghh!! Do I have to pay for the system again? I hope not - that would be seriously unfair!
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!!
lady of rohan
G5 Mac OS X (10.4.3)I recently installed the new Tiger OS, and everything seems fine. Now I have gone into use Quick Time Pro for the first time since the upgrade and all my pro features are gone! The registration details are all gone too! Aarrgghh!! Do I have to pay for the system again?
Upgrade to Tiger likely overwrote your installed QT package/registration data. If it was already QT 7, then all you should need to do is re-enter your QT Pro key information. If your old QT package was QT 6, then you will either need to purchase a new QT Pro key or revert to older QT package and re-enter your old key information. If QT Pro was activated by other software (e.g., FCE) and QT version was not changed, then re-installing that particular software will likely reactivate QT Pro functions. As to loss of registration info, assuming you made your purchase online, registration info should still be available on the "point of purchase" Apple site (otherwise it's "happy hunting" time for missing key). -
How to pass HTML text values to jsp scriptlet
Hi,
I want a syntax for passing values from HTML forms to jsp scriplet
Now i use the code
<%!int i;%>
<%i=Integer.parseInt(registration.phonenumber.value);%>
<%out.print(i);
request.getParameter(registration.phonenumber.value);%>
To compile this i got the error
package registration does not exist.
Is there any coding for corrct this error.
Anyone help meHTML forms are CLIENT side,
JSP scriplets are SERVER side.
This means the syntax for both is not related whatsover.
Assuming registration is your HTMl form and phonumber is the name of the field you need the value from you use
request.getParameter("phonenumber"); to get the value. -
Inconsistent SELECT results in PL/SQL package
Inside an Oracle package, I populate variables with "SELECT ... INTO ... FROM <table name> WHERE ...;"
Should be straightforward, but I have found it inconsistent. Sometimes the variables are not populated, sometimes they are (using the same WHERE). Any possible reasons for this behavior?
