Page Color Printable Permenant Page Colour

HI can anyone pleeeaassse help, I need to know how to set the page colour of any document so it's permenat & printable not a swatch. Can anyone give me a clear how on this please, or send a link to a video. I'm making a poster, leaflets etc.
I wasted loads of time creating in word only to find out the background colour is only a preview & non printable. Now trubg aging having dowloaded InDesign / Creative Cloud. From what I can find lots of people are searching for an answer to this with no joy. Can anyone help???

The Paper swatch is only to simulate what the paper colour will be.
That is the colour of the paper that will be inserted to the printer side of things, like yellow or pink or orange paper.
This Paper swatch never outputs.
You can go ahead and leave the Paper Swatch to be "White".
All you need to do is select a Frame from the toolbar and Drag it to the full size of the page.
You cannot have this automated at the start of every document though - it doesnt' work like that. Every new document is essentially a blank page. You need to add elements to it.
If you need to have this as a default.
Once you have a frame drawn out and positioned and coloured the way you want you can go to
File>Save as>Template
You can then open that Template to start any new project.

I always use root -> panelGroup -> table
seems to work fine. at least at the point of scrollbars. Aren't browser scrollbars ones you are talking about?

Is it possible to change the page colour in iBooks? My daughter is dyslexic and reads with an orange overlay it would be much easier if we could just change the screen colour to suit her needs.

i am using pages to create posters. it provide me options to impose my image on page from my media. but i want to change the colour of page only not imposing any image. plz help, thnx in advance.

Short answer: No - either a shape or some other media - when placed using the Document Setup options, the color shape is placed in the background of all other objects (it becomes the page color) anything placed on the page in the normal Edit Mode will be on top of the background and not hidden.
See attached images - I placed a shape on part of the document to show the original and added color - if you stretch the shape to cover the page, the entire page will take on the color of the shape:

Themes invisible, blank pages, colours not right, looks like a graphic error, but isn't one

Keynote '08 (used on a 10.6.8 Mac OS X) doesn't work anymore. The only thing that works and looks as it should is the window itself with all the buttons and stuff.
I choose a theme and want to start working and all I can see is a blank page...no background,no letters etc.
I cannot see what I'm writing (cause everything's in white), only when I mark the letters I can see them. When I start the presentation I can either see nothing at all or a very ugly version of the theme and words, that looks as if the graphic card of my Mac had crashed. I cannot even choose different font colours...everything's just white.
Some of the themes appear....but a theme that's supposed to be in blue appears green....and so on. It's so strange!
Already finished keynotes can be opened with the app, but look the same. Everything looks like a graphic error so to speak. Pictures look as if they were a negative of the original picture.
The only way to look at an existing keynote is by using "preview" in the finder.
I've already deinstalled the software and put it on again.
Nothing changed...
I just don't know what's going on here....
Any ideas?? :-(

Grey page colour in new pdf documents

when opening any new document in adobe acrobat x pro 10.1.9
comes up with a very annoying dark grey page background.
I cannot change this , though i can change the backgroun in old/Known documents

Thank You for posting on the forums. You can try the steps mentioned below to resolve the issue.
1) Open Acrobat
2) Click Edit>Prefrences
3) Under Categories>Accesibility
4) On the right hand side check the box that says"Replace Document Colors"
5)You can choose the custom Background by clicking on "Page Background"

How to change visited pages colours

I have just changed tools>content>colours to unclik "let the pages choose their own colurs" and, inmediately, Fireox got disturbed in the same way I had last days. It was reversible and things came back to normal when i cloiked again the mentioned square. I hope no one might have this trouble at knowing this so absolutely rare issue. Anyone could explain this to me? I just wanted to give the visited places a special colour (can't I?). Could it be a Firefox 8's bug? But when went back to older versions things didn't improve. Greetings for everybody and thanks again.

As I know there is no out of box solution to change builder theme.
Probably safest way is change css files in HTTP server /i/css
But I would not bother to do it

You can write HTML there also and add e.g. some images.
Or if you use Firefox, you can write some client side greasemonkey script to alter look of builder.

Three more thoughts.
1. If you can access Menu > Pages > Preferences > General, what do you see?
My preferences are set to open a specific template (from My Templates):
Perhaps your preferences are set to Show Template Chooser (which it is doing). This doesn't help with your black screen stuck on "all" but is a diagnostic test.
2.. You say you have trouble creating a new document. How are you trying this? To me, a new document means choosing this:

Keynote and Pages colour issues. aaaaaaaaagh.

When I import from iphoto into keynote, keynote alters the colour and makes whites become green and flesh tones overly warm.
It also seems to strip detail.
I was hoping this might disappear from version 3 but it hasnt. The new image editing functions make no difference
I can recreate it on other macs.
I can email a side by side screenshot if any one wants to see how bad it is.
Any help/workarounds greatly appreciated.

I'd be interested to see what's going on. When you say whites become green, I'm not a color specialist so if they're taking on a green cast, I might not see it, but, if you're looking at the coloring crayons in the color picker, if it's going from "Snow" to "Clover" I'll probably spot that

Color Replacement Tool: foreground colour locked

I use Photoshop CS on a Mac G4 (PPC), OS X 10.4.11.
I have hit a most peculiar problem. I have used the Color Replacement Tool successfully for some time. Suddenly, the colour that it puts into an image as a replacement for an existing colour has got locked to a pale blue (which happens to be the colour I selected as the foreground colour the last time I used the tool). If I now select a different colour (e.g. dark grey for red-eye repair), that colour appears in the small pair of squares that indicates foreground and background colours, but it is still pale blue that I get when I paint in the relevant part of the image.
These are my settings: brush hardness: 100%, separation: 0, mode: color, sampling: once, limits: discontiguous, tolerance 40% (I have tried everything from 0 to 100%), anti-aliased selected.
On the assumption that the software had become corrupted, I have tried deleting all the preferences and the application itself, re-installing the application and resetting my preferences, but the misbehaviour is still there. What can possibly have happened — or what am I doing wrong that I did not do wrong before? And what can I do about it? I should be most grateful for help, because I am in the middle of editing a considerable number of photos that have to be finshed soon.

You beat me to it! I was about to reply to my own posting: thinking about what might be going on after I posted my cri de coeur, I guessed that something somewhere on my hard disk wasn't connecting with something else, so I have just run DiskWarrior and rebuilt my hard disk directory — and all is OK again. But thank you very much for your helpful suggestion, which I shall try when I get a moment. (BTW, I am also not yet on CS4: I am on CS.)

HP Color LaserJet CP1515n - Disable colour?

We have a HP Color LaserJet CP1515n and I have made general settings to prevent students printing to it in colour. Now that's fine until they configure the print settings and turn it back to colour again.
Is there any way I can restrict access to the areas where they can set it to colour/black&white/greyscale so that they cannot get around this?

First, make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector. Once that is done this document will outline how to troubleshoot print quality issues on the printer. Is one able to get Abode Color CC with CMYK colours? as opposed to just the hex code

Background Colour in Pages 5.0.1

Knowing how Apple likes to have everything sent electronically, and not printed, I am surprised that I can't change the background page colour of documents.
I can change the background of a word, sentence and paragraph. I can even select all the text on a page and change the background colour of that.
But there is still a white border all around this document, where the margins, headers and footers are.
It looks really NAFF.
Anyone got any ideas please.

Make a page size rectangle, color it and send it to the back or make it a master object.

How to allow internet pages to use their own background colors ?

On my old Win7Pro system (Firefox stepwise updated from early version 2 to version 18.0) this works perfectly: for example my own homepage http://www.du-ch.net/ shows its light blue background color. However, on my new Win8Pro laptop with Firefox 18.0 directly installed, the background is always white (system windows color).
NOTE: There is of course a menu option (—settings—menu—color) where changes SHOULD be possible. However, crossing or uncrossing the checkboxes does not change anything in the system behaviour: the Win8 and the Win7 systems show different background colors independently on any checks in the 2 boxes (of course with the same settings, too). Obviously a bug [to be corrected by the developers], but meanwhile does anybody know what to change in the settings file (I will of course be careful !) ?

Thanks, indeed returning to another predefined design resolved the problem. Note that before, I used a personal, modified design, but obviously there was still a "high-contrast" [disturbing] function active, which overread the "allow internet pages colours" setting in Firefox and IE [but not in Opera and Chrome]. The Win8 high contrast themes anyway lead to highly unsatisfactory results in many applications, such as black text on darl grey background, or light grey text on white background.
