Pagebreaks via WAD-broadcast in PDF

Hi all,
we are broadcasting a custom made web template to PDF. Our web template consists out of 2 queries.
When we broadcast our template we get a PDF that starts with the first query but the secord query starts immediatly after the first query. But we don't want this... we want that the second query starts on a new page (kind of page break like in report designer)
Any ideas?
Ciao
Joke

Hi Joke,
Did you solve this problem?
I am having the same issue.
Thanks,
Nick.

  • Allign contents while broadcasting in PDF

    Hi all,
There is a specfic requirement, pls suggest.
The Web Templates in WAD are published in portal and broadcasted as PDF.
    1.  The Graph, Tables are seen one after the other in PDF.  Where as in portal it is shown in a well alligned format.
    2.  The headings to the table and Graphs are lost in the process of broadcasting.
Kindly suggest on a way to bring allignment to the  PDF file generated while broadcasting.
    Thanks in advance,

  • WAD Broadcasting Error

    Hi,
We have a couple of WADs which we need to broadcast via email. WAD 7.0 is being used. Broadcast setting are maintained in the portal using the wizard.
When I execute the broadcasting for some of the WADs I get the error message:
"Content for static MIMEs could not be found"
Some WADs are getting sent via email without any error and there is no difference in settings for these two WADs.
For the ones that can be sent via email, an extra line appears in the email:
The user sending the email or the broadcasting administrator can use this link to change the list of recipients: http://<server address>/<WAD broadcasting url>
There is nothing in the xhtml code to give this message and infact the WAD when executed in the portal does not show this extra line.
How can these errors be prevented. Does this have something to do with BAsis settings ?
Your inputs will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Amrita

The Mime content error is because of some missing files in the repository.
The additional line for changing list of users etc is specific to BI 7.0

  • SAP BI Workbook Broadcasting in PDF

    Hello Experts,
We are having a requirement to broadcast the Workbook in PDF format.
Is it possible to broadcast workbook in PDF? How?
Currently we are having SAP BI 7.0.
    Thanks in anticipation!!!!
    Bhavin Vyas

    Hi Bhavin,
You can broadcast to PDF from query designer, not from workbook. Try in that manner and convince your business people as we have only this facility.
If its a matter of small workbook, try to do it via direct mail by converting in to pdf.
Have a look at Urgent!- Broadcasting workbooks to pdf format
    Hope helps- Kumar

  • I have a document made up of separate PDF files which reside in a folder and are linked to each other via hyperlinks. Each pdf file is set to open with bookmarks displayed, however if I link from one PDF file to another and use the "Previous View" button

I have a document made up of separate PDF files which reside in a folder and are linked to each other via hyperlinks. Each pdf file is set to open with bookmarks displayed, however if I link from one PDF file to another and use the "Previous View" button to navigate back to my starting point the bookmarks are replaced by "page thumbnails". Is there anyway to stop this from happening?

    Hi Pusman,
While setting up the links, if you choose to open the file in a new window then you won't face this issue, then you can simply switch to the previous file and bookmark view will remain as it is.
Does that helps with your query?

  • MPLS via non-broadcast Ethernet

    Hi
I have a multicast 224.0.0.2 forwarding problem in Ethernet network, as a result LDP doesn’t work.
Is possible to connect MPLS router via non-broadcast Ethernet?

    Hi,
While you can use targeted LDP to bring the session up, I dont think the labels will be used while egressing this interface.
An LDP speaker after establishing the LDP session will track all interfaces (to tht specific neighbor) for LDP hello. For example, if RouterA have multiple interfaces to RouterB with LDP session and if egress interface for prefixP from RouterA is interface1 which doesnt receive hello from RouterB, RouterA will not impose any labels. But if the egress is interface2 on which LDP hello is received, it will impose the label (received via the LDP session).
You may have to fix the 224.0.0.2 problem to have your labeling work. One ugly solution, I can quickly think of is to have a tunnel between the neighbors with LDP enabled on the tunnel and tweak the routing to have the (required) prefixes use the tunnel as egress interface. But IMHO, this is a good solution.

  • WAD report broadcasting as PDF error

    Hi,
I am trying to broadcast a report in PDF format. The report is from a web template that has a table of 2 rows and 4 columns with 8 chart web items. But the PDF file displays only one graph in a row instead of the 4 defined in the template. What can I do to correct this?
    Thanks.

    Hi Sanjeev,
As i understood that you have  4 Graphs in each row, and u have 2 rows.
The first row has a graph and Table of 2*4 matrix.
But the problem is u r getting only 1 Graph per row in the PDF.
    If this is the case:-
I hope this might be the page cutter problem when converting from WEB page to PDF.
Please check the Page settings in the Wed item properties.
If possibel limit it to a sizw where you can see 1 table and 4 Graphs in your web reports itself, so that you have the same in PDF.
User the Insert table options befor putting any beb tiems on toi the Web designer page, it will help you in organize the web items in a proper way.
    Best Regards,
    VNK.

  • Distributing Password Protected PDF's via Information Broadcasting

Is it possible to password protect a distributed report (pdf format) using individual Member's unique password?
Then, can we easily administer the (e.g. user-create/e-mail confirmation) the actual passwords?

What about the Java Cryptography Extension framework for PDFs?
    Can NetWeaver support this....
    http://xmlgraphics.apache.org/fop/trunk/pdfencryption.html
    Environment
In order to use PDF encryption, FOP has to be compiled with cryptography support. Currently, only JCE is supported. JCE is part of JDK 1.4. For earlier JDKs, it can be installed separately. The build process automatically detects JCE presence and installs PDF encryption support if possible, otherwise a stub is compiled in.

  • Issue broadcasting to PDF

    Hello all,
I am running into an issue when using the broadcasting option to PDF via Web Application Designer template. Once I receive the PDF in my mailbox, I open and get a message indicating " Insufficient data for image" then click ok and see my chart/table but it is in very small view and I have to enlarge to 2000+% to view it properly. Has anyone run into this?
    Thank you in advance!

    Hello Michael,
Yes the web template looks fine in our netweaver portal. It displays perfecly fine. Once using the broadcasting command and selecting to PDF and then opening the PDF in my mailbox is where I get the message then the display being very small.
When you say check the Java Environment is correct, is there a certain environment I should be looking for or just the same java environment as the broadcaster?
Thank you for responding, will leave points.

  • WAD - printing to PDF

    Hi all,
I created multiple WAD's in the 7.0 (with graphs, texts, analysis items,...)
When I execute them and right click to get the PDF-version (via print version) the pages in the PDF are split up in a bizar way...
If the analysis grid starts on the second page, it displays a part of the analysis grid, and the rest is displayed on a third page, but on the second page is still enough room... when it starts on the first page, it is displayed correctly and when another web item (for example static filters) is also displayed on the second page (before analysis item) it is also displayed correctly...
I think it has something to do with the print-template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN_EXPORT but don't know what exacly...
    anyone an idea?
    ciao!

  • Can't send mail via BEx Broadcasting

    Hi all,
I am willing to broadcast some reports I've created via the BEx Broadcaster.
When opening a query in the Query Designer and selecting Publish - Broadcasting I am able to configure a new broadcasting diffusion option. But when I try to execute it, I get this message:
Erreur from type DNS_SREQ while sending document ORDERS_RANK4.mht
I tried sending different formats but still doesn't work.
Is there something to activate under SAP to allow broadcasting ?
Thanks alot for any clues that will be point rewarded.

  • Problem in WAD: export to PDF all the tab panels of a TabPage

    Hi all,
I have a problem with WAD and export to PDF.
    My template (schema):
    Group -->
    Container Barraher --> Button Group
Container Form --> Tab Pages -->
    TabPanel1 --> Container1 --> Analysis1
    TabPanel2 --> Container2 --> Analysis2
    TabPanel3 --> Container3 --> Analysis3
    My problem:
The button exports only the Analysis we are seeing (the TabPanel which is opened) but I would want the button exports the three Analysis. Is it possible?
At the Button Group --> Command Export --> Data Binding --> Web Items:
    Analysis1
    Analysis2
    Analysis3
    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Hi,
Can you remove the Data Bindings and see if you use the Default if PDF is working ?.
Another way also might be is to save the Same Template with a new Name, then  Keep only the Data Providers and the Analysis Grid.
Back on Main Template in the Button Group use this new Template as a Print Template.
    Hope this helps.
    Datta.
