Paper mismatch on Envy 114 - trying to do custom-sized paper

I just got the Envy 114. It's been printing wonderfully for letter-sized documents.
Issue is: I have custom-sized paper for invitations - 5X6.5, 5X6, 5X5.5 & 5X5. I am not able to print from Microsoft Word 2007, I'm on Windows XP.
I tried to follow the directions on the support page, but when I try to choose the "paper size", there is no "custom" listing on the pull down list to add a custom size....Help!

It seems custom print sizes may not be available with your printer software. Check out this post by Travis_C, he details using an alternate generic driver to obtain the custom print sizes you are looking for:

Then i followed the trobleshoot steps and restarted everything(printer, router, and computer), and i went back to the trobleshoot page and typed every information of my router to my printer, but it ended up saying that the Paraphrase/password is invalid, and i haven't changed it.

On your router, remove the password completely and now try to connect with no password. Once successful, go back and add your security password back and now try again with your printer.

I worked for HP but now I'm retired!

HP ENVY 114 all-in-one d411c and wireless printing.

I have a HP ENVY 114 all-in-one d411c printer connected wirelessly and a HP Pavilion HPE h8-1237 which is also connected wirelessly to my NetGear N750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router. The problem is that the printer, according to the desktop computer, is constantly going OFFLINE. I have tried reinstalling printer software, ran the Print and Scan Doctor, etc. with no luck. I think the problem is with the desktop computer because I also have a HP Pavilion dv7 notebook which is also connected wirelessly and it can print all day long with no problems, never goes OFFLINE. I don't know what else to do. I recently upgraded both computers to Windows 8 Pro. The printer worked fine when I was using Windows 7 Ultimate. I need some suggestions, Please. Thank You in advance.

Sounds like you are having issues with your printer going offline? Now is this actually inhibiting your printing? Because if the printer is in sleep mode it will register as offline. If you ARE having issues with printing, then we can check some of the setting on the router. Here are its specs :

Here I can see that there are potential hazards, I would recommend contacting Netgear and making sure that the router is broadcasting on the 2.4GHz range, and that it is set for 802.11g and not 802.11n wireless. These could effect your printer's responsiveness.

And as a last bit, you might want to consider setting the printer up with an Ethernet-network connection and seeing if the issue is with the method of communication.

HP Envy 114 Print Error Message

My HP Envy 114 was working fine, then a few days ago it would not print from the Laptop like it always had. The error "Unable to communicate with printer" pops up. Did all kinds of diagnostics, the laptop detects the printer on the network, but says that the printer is off.
The Windows 7 desk-top prints wirelessly just fine, as well as the iPad. The laptop had printed fine before. No changes to the printer, laptop, network, etc. Using Windows 7.
Did full uninstall/reinstall. Did full power-down/power up of printer, network, laptop.

What brand and model is the router?
Is the printer connected to the router or a wireless access point (a separate device that provides wireless service)?
Try using the Print and Scan Doctor from HP. It is designed to help resolve issues of this nature. The first part has the tool to download and the rest of it covers how to use the tool.

Sorry to hear that you are having that problem. Do you use the free eFax account that came with the printer? With that you get free 20 fax pages in and 20 faxes pages out every 30 days. The 30 days do not run from the 1st to the 30th; but from when you set it up. So if you set it up in the middle of the month, it would run from there to the middle of next month before rolling those 30 days over. So I would check to see if you have exceeded the limit for the 30 days. You can do that on the front panel of the printer by going into to efax and then looking on that first screen that appears, you should see the monthly page count. If it is not over the limit I would log into to efax.com and make sure that under the "Update Account" option that it has the receive email listed as your printer's email address @hpeprint.com, and that it is the only one listed. If multiple addresses are listed there, the faxes will no longer print out on the printer. Also make sure that the file format under "Fax Options" is not set to tiff format.

Logging into eFax using HP Envy 114 Printer

I can't log into efax using my HP Envy 114 Printer. I know the numbers are valid because i am able to log into the efax website. I can't find any answers for this problem on their website. Any suggestions?

Problems printing on custom sized paper.

I am trying to iron out my problems with printing on custom sized tractor paper (using an impact printer). Every time I print a test page, the printer behaves as if it was loaded with tractor paper that is 11 inches long, rather then the 7 inches that the forms are on.
Before I list my code, let me explain everything that I have done. I am running Windows XP, so I went to the Printers and Faxes folder, clicked File > Server Properties, and created a custom form size (8.5" wide by 7" long with zero margins). Going back to the Printers and Faxes folder, I right clicked on the impact printer and clicked properties. From there I clicked the Device tab and selected my custom form that I had created for the tractor feed section. I then clicked the general tab and clicked the printing preferences. From there I clicked the Paper/Quality tab and selected Tractor Feed for the source. Then I clicked the advance button and selected my custom form for paper size. I also changed the resolution to 360X180.
The printer itself has hardware settings for paper size. I've went through the menu and selected 7 inches for the form length.
Now going to the code, I created the paper object and set it size to 612 for width and 504 for height. I also changed the ImageableArea to the size of the paper (which I think eliminates the margins), and set its orientation to 0, 0. I then set the paper object to the PageFormat, and used drawString to test my settings.
Program compiles fine. When I run it and click the button, I select the correct printer. I also went through the preferences to make sure that all the setting are correct (especially to make sure my custom form is selected.). The closest I can get the string to the corner of the page is 75, 80. On the paper it measures 7/8" from the left, and 1" from the top.
I have tested my custom form settings with word 2007. I was able to get the text on the very corner of the paper, and the printer was able to determine where the next form started. I believe that my problem lies within my code. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a similar code to print a jasperreport,
when I ran on Windows, the report is printed normally, all the document appeared, but when I ran on Linux (Debian), the document is missing some parts of report, printed without lines, appear only the middle of report. I don't understand what happen, on windows is ok, but linux is wrong. I tried the margins, but didn't work.
Some one have an idea that can help me?

In order to be able to provide a search help for a field in an ALV you must do the following things.
1) The field where F4 help need to be attached needs to be made editable.
2) Create an event handler class to handle the ONF4 event. You can refer the following code:

Exchange rate window pumps up when trying to generating customer receivables aging

Hey guys, thanks for your help for last two issues. I learned a lot.
I just got another wired issue. This time when I tried to run customer receivables aging, the exchange rates and indexes window keeps pumping up(as shown in attachment). Has anyone of you encountered this before? How can I fixed this?
So far this only happens when I tried to access customer receivables aging. I didn't have any problem to access other features and invoices.

Im trying to create custom transistions to a video project im working on .. I want to use a custom image that i created and am having problems making it work like a video transition that is installed with FC .. Im not sure if i have to use XML files or if its as easy as just putting the transistion in my video, which i tried, and the results were not good ..

The templates used by your new theme in apex(that you created when you copied) would still be referencing your old css path.
So update check the templates used in your new theme for the referred css files

Stumbled upon the resolution myself. The Bean Area item needs to be set to Visible=Yes in the property palette for the bean within Forms Builder, and also the implementation class also in the bean's properties must match exactly the package & class name specified in the PJC (my full implementation class string had to be set to oracle.forms.demos.runApplication).
As this bean has no user interface component, and since the Visible property has to be set to Yes, to avoid having a random square shape for the bean sitting on the form's canvas, I also set the Width and Height properties for the bean to 0.001. This does show a very small dot on the form, but that will be acceptable.
So in summary there has been a change for PJC / Bean Areas between 6i and 10g Forms, in 6i you could have the Bean Item to be set Visible=No, and the SET_CUSTOM_ PROPERTY built-in would work, however in 10g Forms the Bean Item must be set to Visible=Yes for the SET_CUSTOM_PROPERTY built-in to work.

For some reason I have problems when trying to create custom tab in NI Configurator 4.1.
Every time the result is same: Error - NIFCONF_ERROR_APPLICATION_EXCEPTION - Parameter is incorrect...

"Internal System Error" with Envy 114 (110 series)

I have tried repeatedly to set up web services with this printer, and I continue to get the "internal system error message. It's maddening! I have a mac system 10.7.4. I have the printer set up to work wirelessly, but when I try to deal with web services feature, I fail every time--with this particular message.
Has anyone had this problem?

Are you receiving this error on the front screen of the printer after pressing the web services icon (piece of paper with rings behind it) or are you receiving this through the EWS (embedded web server) of the printer?
The EWS would be accessed using the printer's IP address and a web browser on a computer.
