Parameterized Mapping - Binding Problem

Hi All,
I am using a parameterized mapping and i have given 2 import parameters in OM  and also in Interface Determination. I am getting below error.  anyone faced this problem before?

  </SAP:Error>

After creating binding variable in ESR, you have to create binding variable in the interface determination. The value you pass over there is saved in the created variable in operation mapping. Hope you understand.
Refer setting parameter values in interface determination portion of the link
SAP PI 7.1 Mapping Enhancements Series: Parameterized Message Mappings
Also activate and refresh cache. Sometime this might be due to caching problem and not properly set the parameter values.
Hope that helps.

  • How to pass input parameter (parameterized mapping) to java mapping program

    Hello
    I have a question about the parameterized mapping with Java (PI 7.1).
    In the operation mapping (using Java-class) I defined a inputer parameter (string). I think I am supposed to retrieved the value using:
                    arg0.getInputParameters().getString("myInputParameterName");
    where arg0 is the TransformationInput object.
    However I am not able to get the value, I got runtime exception saying the inputer parameter doesn't exit.
    Then I figured out maybe I need to bind the OM input parameter to Java mapping parameter, just like in case of message mapping, you need to bind OM parameter to MM parameter. However there is no way to define input parameter for the java mapping program.
    Anybody has done java mapping with parameterized mapping?
    Anybody can give any hint for this?
    Thanks
    Jayson

    InputParameters params = container.getInputParameters();
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) params.getValue(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File", "Directory");

  • Parameterized mapping in PI 7.31 Dual Stack

    Hi All,
    I am working on PI 7.31 Dual Stack. I am getting the below exception in parameterized mapping:
    com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException; com.sap.aii.mapping.api.UndefinedParameterException: The input-parameter TestVal does not exist.
    I could test in MM test tab but facing the issue in runtime. Please suggest me where I am going wrong.
    Thanks,
    Madhurima

    Hi Madhurima,
    Have you checked if your PI version and patch level is being affected with this note  1933139 - Errors during execution of operation mapping with message mapping parameters names different from the operation mapping parameter names?

  • Alternative to parameterized mapping

    Hello,
    We are in
    Service Pack: 08
    Release: NW711_08_REL
    Scenario : File to IDOC
    We are using parameterized mapping for this scenario and we have configured some values in the interface determination in parameter for Operation Mapping. During the transport there are chances of overwriting the same in the QA or Prod system. Also sometime it is difficult to maintain all these values manually in the respective systems.
    Is there a better way we can handle this situation? Or is there a better alternative to the parameterized mapping?
    Thanks

    Have you consider the Value Mapping approach?

  • AAE doesn't support parameterized mapping ?

    Hi,
    is the AAE doesn't support parameterized mapping ? if yes any workaround for this limitation ? because i want to use JDBC lookup in my mapping ?
    Currently, i am using PI 7.1 EHP1 SP3.
    Thank You and Best Regards
    Fernand

    One thing more, as you can't use it it may bother you as you won't be able to use the new box in the graphical mapping to do look ups (JDBC, or RFC), as both boxes get the channel from a parameter.
    However, you can still create your own UDF and do the lookup manually with java code, it's not a big issue. I had to do it for RFC lookups some times.

  • Integrated configuration with parameterized mapping

    Dear All,
    My scenario is using integrated configuration AAE. I am trying parameterized mapping with Integrated configuratiion but it throws an error saying that AAE doesnt support parameterized mapping.
    I am uisng PI 7.1 I wanted to know doest PI 7.3 support this or which service pack on PI 7.1 support Parametrized mapping with AEE.
    Any thoughs on this.
    chirag

    Hi Chirag,
    Integrated Configuration Scenario with Parameterized mapping is not supported in PI 7.1, 7.1 EHP1 or even in 7.3
    This is a limitation with AAE based scenarios. However, you can still use Parameterized mapping in Classical Scenarios(ID,RD,SA,RA). This is well supported in PI 7.1 and higher versions.
    Please take a look for the CAUTION statement in the following link:

    Installing ios 8.2 does not resolve Google map navigation problem.

    I have tried to install both of them lots of times but in each case I receive the same in my XE.bat file:
    Instance created.
    DIM-00019: create service error
    O/S-Error: (OS 1387) Unable to add or remove a member from the local group because this member does not exist.
    Have checked OS 1387 error at Microsoft Support and as possible cause of the problem they give as follows:
    This issue can occur if the environment has a disjointed namespace (i.e. the domain has different NetBIOS and DNS names). For example, assume that the domain has a NetBIOS name of "domain.com" and a DNS name of "domain-old.com." When users are added in the Windows UI, they are displayed in the format of domain\ComputerName. However, you notice in the error log that there was an attempt to add a computer account in the format of domain-old\ComputerName. (System Center 2012 R2 Data Protection Manager install fails and generates ID: 4323: "A member could not be added")
    Tried to find out my DNS name, but it is impossible because I don't have any domain installed and my machine is not connected to it. Some other blog (Install Oracle 11gR2 on Windows) advices to work with adding my computer account to some non-real windows domain (just for the purpose of resolving the network) as well and reinstall the database then. If I undestand it right I need minimum 2 machines for this. But I own just one, where the server is based and thought that is enough to run the database... no idea ..

  • A Form when modified crashes - toggling runtime parameters temporarily solves problem

    A form is running in Forms 6i. Problem arises whenever user gives us requirement to modify it. Whatever modification we do, the form stops running. In fact it crashes and control goes back to Windows. That is the calling ( menu) form also exits.
    However we toggle/change following runtime parameters thru
    Tools --> Preferences --> Runtime and it temporarily solves problem.
    Buffer Records in File & Array Processing.
    However it is not fixed what combination of above parameters actually solves problem. We keep on trying and eventually it is solved.
    We want to know waht is this problem and how to resolve it.
    Note: The form is developed using SQL for purpose of insert/update/select. Built-in EXECUTE_QUERY is not used in this form.
    Pl. help.

    I don4t know if this can help, but
    we had problems with database links
    if we defined as db.world
    we must put exactly as db.world.
    When we use only @db it hanged up.
    Out of this we didn4t have similar problems .

  • Ipv4 mapped addresses bind problem: address already in use.

    Hello. It's me again with another, may be newbie, question.
    This time I observe different behavior binding different type of ip addresses on tcp sockets. For instance
    - when I bind ipv4 mapped addresses, if there is a remaining old socket in TIME_WAIT state from a previous run
    I get the error 'Address already in use', event with SO_REUSEADDR set.
    - when I bind another type of ipv6 or just ipv4 addresses. if there if a remaining old socket in TIME_WAIT state from
    a previous run, the bind is successful (SO_REUSEADDR is set).
    How can be explained this behavior?
    Thanks a lot.
    Details
    =======
    I made a small program to test this. This program:
    - dump the addresses to be used in bind() and connect()
    - creates a LISTEN SOCKET calling
    - socket(AF_INET6, SOCK_STREAM, 0)
    - fcntl(F_SETFD, fcntl(F_GETFD) | FD_CLOEXEC)
    - fcntl(F_SETFL, fcntl(F_GETFL) | O_NONBLOCK),
    - setsockopt(SO_REUSEADDR),
    - setsockopt(SO_KEEPALIVE),
    - setsockopt(TCP_NODELAY),
    - bind()
    - listen()
    - creates a CONNECTING SOCKET calling
    - socket(AF_INET6, SOCK_STREAM, 0)
    - fcntl(F_SETFD, fcntl(F_GETFD) | FD_CLOEXEC)
    - fcntl(F_SETFL, fcntl(F_GETFL) | O_NONBLOCK),
    - setsockopt(SO_REUSEADDR),
    - setsockopt(SO_KEEPALIVE),
    - setsockopt(TCP_NODELAY),
    - connect()
    - creates a ACCEPTED SOCKET calling
    - accept()
    - fcntl(F_SETFD, fcntl(F_GETFD) | FD_CLOEXEC)
    - fcntl(F_SETFL, fcntl(F_GETFL) | O_NONBLOCK),
    - setsockopt(SO_REUSEADDR),
    - setsockopt(SO_KEEPALIVE),
    - setsockopt(TCP_NODELAY),
    - issue a std::system( "netstat -an | grep 10329" )
    - wait with select() for a write event in the CONNECTING SOCKET
    - wait with select() for a write event in the ACCEPTED SOCKET
    - close the accepted socket
    - close the connecting socket
    - close the listen socket
    - issue another std::system( "netstat -an | grep 10329" )
    - exit(0)
    Note: please don't get confused with my notation of addresses, the last component, after the last colon, is the port.
    I run it with ipv4 mapped listen address, with this result:

    Did you try the suggestion to put a log statement just before you start the server? Or put a breakpoint at that line and see how often it is reached.
    Because the only reason for this problem is that something is already listening at that port.
    And if there's really nothing listening before you start you application, then only your application itself can listen there already, so the logical conclusion for me would be that you're starting the Server twice.

  • Problems with parameterized mapping in BPM

    Hi
    I am using an RFC lookup in a message mapping. I have declared the parameters/bindings in Message Mapping and Operations Mapping, but when I use the Operations Mapping in a transformation step in my BPM, I am asked for an "import" value. There are no values to be selected. What do I do?
    Thanks!

    In your integration process, define the import parameter under Configurable Parameters category.

    this method work in Jheadstart 10g but not in 11g
    Regards,
    sanaei

    sanaei,
    Did this really work in 10.1.3 without custom templates?
    Assuming inputtext1 is in your base page, then #{bindings.inputtext1.inputValue} should return null when used as query bind var in the LOV, since the LOV page as its own binding container (stored under request attribute "bindings").
    In R11, we have a cleaner way to pass parameters to an LOV:
    - In the LOV group, define a parameter, for example "parentIdParam"
    - In the LOV group, use the following expression as Query Bind Parameters:
    P_PARENT_ID=#{pageFlowScope.parentIdParam}
    - In the lov item of the base group, add a parameter named "parentIdParam" and set the value to #{bindings.inputtext1.inputValue}
    That should work.

  • Adf/swing binding problem

    Hi all,
    Friends i need your help.
    I was a bit confused as i started developing an adf/swing application. I know that this project is not supported any more but i honestly believe that there are a lot of people still using it.
    I've already faced with a number of problems and successfully solved them but the one is really strange.
    Before describing it let me ask one preliminary question. It’s very important for me, but if it is too much …. skip the first question since the second one is the most important.
    1. I’m creating a multiframe application where I have one main window (with a desktop pane) which does not include any bindings and is used for invoking internal frames only which in their turn have been created by dragging and dropping data controls.
    Since JDeveloper only allows generating skeletons for stand-alone frames and there is lack of information concerned with adf/swing developing I’m trying to fit the automatically generated code for my purpose by myself.
    I obsessively ask some GURU to check my strategy and say whether I’m doing it right.
    First I create the BindingContext object in the main frame:
    BindContext ctx = newBindingContext();
    public MainFrame() {…………
    try {
    JUMetaObjectManager.setErrorHandler(new JUErrorHandlerDlg());
    JUMetaObjectManager mgr = JUMetaObjectManager.getJUMom();
    mgr.setJClientDefFactory(null);
    ctx.put(DataControlFactory.APP_PARAM_ENV_INFO, new JUEnvInfoProvider());
    ctx.setLocaleContext(new DefLocaleContext(null));
    HashMap map = new HashMap(4);
    map.put(DataControlFactory.APP_PARAMS_BINDING_CONTEXT, ctx);
    mgr.loadCpx("minit.org.view.DataBindings.cpx" , map);
    DCDataControl app = (DCDataControl)ctx.get("AppModule1DataControl");
    app.setClientApp(DCDataControl.JCLIENT);
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    JUMetaObjectManager.reportException(null, ex, true);
    System.exit(1);
    Then I pass the BindingContext object into the internal frames constructors, i.e.
    private void jMenuUnitVoc_actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
    this.getJMenuUnitVoc().setEnabled(false);
    FormCreateUnitView1 unitVoc = new FormCreateUnitView1 (ctx);
    unitVoc.setVisible (true);
    this.deskTopPane.add (unitVoc);
    Then I setup the panel binding for a particular JinternalFrame instance through the automatically generated setBindingContext() method:
    public FormCreateUnitView1(BindingContext ctx) {
    try {
    this.setBindingContext(ctx);
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    JUMetaObjectManager.reportException(null, ex, true);
    System.exit(1);
    This predefined setBindingContext () method looks like this:
    public void setBindingContext(BindingContext bindCtx) {
    if (panelBinding.getPanel() == null) {
    panelBinding = panelBinding.setup(bindCtx, this);
    registerProjectGlobalVariables(bindCtx);
    panelBinding.refreshControl();
    try {
    jbInit();
    panelBinding.refreshControl();
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    panelBinding.reportException(ex);
    panelBinding instance variable is declared by default as
    private JUPanelBinding panelBinding = new JUPanelBinding("FormCreateUnitView1PageDef");
    when the internal frame is getting closed the panel binding is released:
    public void doDefaultCloseAction() {
    _popupTransactionDialog();
    panelBinding.releaseDataControl(); statusBar.release();
    MainFrame myFrame = (MainFrame)this.getDesktopPane().getParent().getParent().getParent().getParent();
    myFrame.getJMenuUnitVoc().setEnabled(true);
    super.doDefaultCloseAction();
    Why I’m asking about this is because I met another syntax which is known to be commonly used:
    Something like this:
    this is the code I use to (re)create the panel,
    the setBindingContext method.
    public void setBindingContext(BindingContext bindCtx)
    String detail2BCName = "myName";
    if (bindCtx.get(detail2BCName) == null)
    DCBindingContainerDef bcdef = (DCBindingContainerDef) JUMetaObjectManager.getJUMom() .findLoadedObject("mypackage." + detail2BCName);
    DCBindingContainer bc = bcdef.createBindingContainer(bindCtx);
    bc.setName(detail2BCName);
    bindCtx.put(detail2BCName, bc);
    // ... then calls to jbInit etc.
    this is the code I use to release the binding when
    the window is closed
    getPanelBinding.release();
    getPanelBinding.getBindingContext().remove(superPanelBinding.getName());
    …but this syntax is badly documented, so I’m a bit confused about which is right… my code works pretty fine (all master and detail frames are synchronized and all that…) except for one issue I’m going to describe.
    I’m waiting for your opinions….please help make it clear.
    THE MAIN PROBLEM
    2. I’ve got a master/detail internal frame. When I make any changes in it and then commit them through a navigation bar I get the following exception as I try to close it later through the standard close icon:
    Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.NullPointerException

    … few things
    -1. If I commit a transaction through the popup dialog the exception doesn’t emerge.
    -2. If I remove the “panelBinding.releaseDataControl(); statusBar.release();” from doDefaultCloseAction() method the exception doesn’t emerge but then I get another well-known exception as I try to reopen the internal frame.
    -3. If I debug doDefaultCloseAction() method step by step the exception doesn’t emerge.
    -4. Finally…. the exception doesn’t suspend the application it just goes on as if nothing has happened (the stack is only displayed on the console).
    I learned about one similar problem here:
    JClient Threading Bug in JUCtrlAttrsBinding?
    but the bug described has been fixed in ver 10.1.3.3.
    I'm using Jdeveloper 10.1.3.3
    So, please ...please…please help me overcome it.
    Best regards. Alex.

    Sorry for being a bit annoying...
    But .... no one has answered my question yet......though you promised...
    Eventually I’ve somehow solved the trouble by replacing the “ panelBinding.releaseDataControl ” with
    “ panelBinding.release(DCDataControl.REL_VIEW_REFS)
    panelBinding.getBindingContext().remove(panelBinding.getName());”
    In the doDefaultCloseAction() method
    it seems like it works good now.
    I reconstructed a bit my code
    Now I’m invoking the internal frames this way:
    private void jMenuDeptVoc_actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
    FormCreateDeptView deptVoc = new FormCreateDeptView();
    this.getJMenuDeptVoc().setEnabled(false);
    deptVoc.setBindingContext(panelBinding.getBindingContext());
    this.deskTopPane.add(deptVoc);
    I looked through the following how to:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/howtos/10g/jcmultiform/index.html
    there is an additional method there, which is invoked before creating a new frame where the binding container for the panel binding is created:
    private void createDetailBinding()
    String detailBCName = "DetailFormUIModel";
    if (panelBinding.getBindingContext().get(detailBCName) == null)
    DCBindingContainerDef bcdef = (DCBindingContainerDef)JUMetaObjectManager.getJUMom().findLoadedObject("sample.DetailFormUIModel");
    DCBindingContainer bc = bcdef.createBindingContainer(panelBinding.getBindingContext());
    bc.setName(detailBCName);
    panelBinding.getBindingContext().put(detailBCName, bc);
    But since createBindingContainer(BindingContext) method has been deprecated in 10.1.3 i skipped this step.
    Nevertheless my program is working now I still wonder if the way I’m doing it is right.
    Thanks. Alex.

  • Choosing the parameters to bind

    Hello,
    I am using a function nlssort (by using Expression.getFunction) in "order by" clause of ReadAllQuery. I use anyOf expression to build selection criteria. I want the statement to be prepared, so I call ReadAllQuery.setShouldBindAllParameters(true). Toplink generates "SELECT DISTINCT ... ORDER BY NLSSORT(X, ?)" (with several "?"). Oracle database gives ORA-01791 error. If I call ReadAllQuery.setShouldBindAllParameters(false), it's OK.
    How can I force TopLink to bind all parameters except the last one? What would you recommend to solve this problem (I want the statement to be prepared)?

    I used
            ExpressionOperator exOperator = new ExpressionOperator();
            v.addElement("nlssort(");
            v.addElement(",'" + param+ "')");
           ...
