Part Comparision with spread sheet to Oracle system

My client receives Quotation (BOM) from customers.
They check all the BOM parts exist in the system, if not they create Item code in Oracle system. client sometimes sends customer part number, or client part number, every Bill of materials contains 500-700 parts, currently they are verifying all the part numbers in the system and creating new item codes in the system.
Client wants to automate this process with interace programs.
Is there any other options to check, report, concurrent program to check spread sheet to system part numbers.
And
Also client wants to verify the part number has any valid pricing, agreement, sourcing rule exist in the system, how to acheive in the oracle system.
for above scenarios client receives 500-700 parts in BOM, if client has valid pricing, agreement will use same agreement, pricing otherwise they go for RFQ, agreement with supplier..
How to compare or report to achieve this?

- use external files
- use xmldb
- use a look-a-like upload like in apex but then in your application for ex.: Excel Upload.

Import Excel with mutiples sheets into Oracle

Hi,
I got a few questions here, I did some google-ing but I would like get clarifications:
1. In order to make Excel "talks" to Oracle with External Table, do I need to convent the Excel file into .csv?
2. Apparently my Excel has mutiple sheets (20+), do I need to save each sheet individually as 1 single .csv before they "talk"?
(sounds like it...but I "hope" there is another way...-_-)
3. I am using TOAD and the tool "Import Table Data" can read .xls and .xlsx directly, however I will have to do 20+ times for each sheet... beside that, is there any other quicker way to read the Excel files?
(even if I use External Tables I have might have to save each sheet into a .cvs for 20+ times...-_-)

Excel Spread Sheet pop-up dialog box

Hi All,
By Mistakenly my user selected the check box (always use selected format) In the report VF05N List > Export > Spread Sheet >Selected Spread sheet format pop up as SAP Internal XML Format.
But he need to down load in various formats. Now he is not getting the POP up of Select Spread sheet. Automatically system is redirecting to down load in XML only
How we can bring the Pop up again. Please guide me.

Installation problem with Siebel8.0 on Oracle Enterprise Linux 4 system

I'm facing the same error message while install Siebel 8.0 on OEL. But before I had this ksh problem, it complains about disc space first, and I actually has plenty of disk space under the directory (it needs only 0.7 G and I have 17G free). Anybody has encountered such problem before?

Error message using SQL import and Export Wizard with Excel spread sheet

I am trying to import an Excel spreadsheet using the Import export wizard that is provided with SQL 2014.
Everything seems to set up OK but then when I go to do the transfer "error message" comes up saying:
External Table is not in the expected format.(Microsoft Jet Database Engine).
This is a spreadsheet and there is no database, that is why I want to import it into a database!! So the reference to JET is a tad disappointing.
So why the error and how do I fix the problem?
As there are over 100 variables in the spread sheet rows, it would be great to have this automatically create the database and populate the fields.
I am using SQL 2014 Express and Office Excel 2013.

When import a .xlsx file to SQL Server using SQL Server Import and Export Wizard, you see a “External Table is not in the expected format.(Microsoft Jet Database Engine).” error message. This error message seems that the Microsoft JET Database Engine is
unable to handle something that is contained in the file.
So please make sure there is no unsupported content in the Excel file. Alternatively, we can use ‘Microsoft Excel’ as the Data Source, then Select ‘Microsoft Excel 2007’ as the Excel version to import the excel file.

Can not share a spread sheet with email

Sometimes I cannot share a spread sheet using share and email. Any solutions?

A few more details please. What operating system are you using? What kind of spreadsheet? Excel? Numbers? Something else?
Are you trying to send it using Apple's Mail application? via webmail? using Entourage?
Do you get any error messages? If so please quote them exactly.

Any input will be appreciated.

Goes something like this:
1) create an ODBC connection (on NT/WIN: ODBC DATA SOURCES in the control panel, create a USER DSN.
2) in EXCEL-menu: DATA->GET EXTERNAL DATA->CREATE NEW QUERY. In the wizzard you will see the DSN created in the previous step. Select that source.
3) follow the wizzard.

Where did the iPhone Calendar list function(s) go with iOS7? The Calendar has gone all 'spread sheet' on me. If you select an item (grey dot) from the month display it will open up the 'spread sheet' at the current time of day, not necessarily when the calendar entry takes place. I liked iOS6 where you could turn your iPhone to landscape mode and get that special 'spread sheet' feel if that's what you're into. Has a 'List' presentation been removed from the iPhone Calendar with iOS7?

The List view is displayed by tapping the Search magnifying glass.

Writing to spread sheets with more than single precision

Hi everyone,
Im recording data by using the write to spread sheet VI in Labview 8,
it records single precision which is a problem for me as I require greater
precision.
Are there ways around this issue?

I am starting a new spread sheet in numbers to log my photos. I want to set up a sort button on each column but do not know how to accomplish this. Any ideas?

I have a Macbook Pro with the latest Yosemite operating system on it. I am using Numbers 3.5.2 and I am making a spread sheet for my photos. I am having columns with different information in them and I want the ability to sort them using buttons. Can anyone help me with this?

The only way to prevent such loss is with a robust backup system. Apple provide TimeMachine as part of OS X. Connect an external hard drive to your computer and off you go. hourly, daily backups. I have recovered more than one computer this way,
As far as photos goes I use this approach:
1) Time Machine
2) a offsite copy of the picture folder from my user (I literally copy the picture folder to a separate, non-Time machine drive and relocate that drive in my desk drawer at work). I bring the offsite drive home every coupe months it refresh.
Numbers will not do a good job for this task (in my opinion) and will not facilitate metadata stored in the pictures. On bad thing happens in the number file and all your pictures are gone. In addition if you were to select the menu item "File > Advanced > Reduce File Size..." and, "BAM!!" all your pictures would be compressed and not their original size.
iPhoto keeps every change you make to a picture so you can get the original back. What ever happened with iPhoto will be much worse with Numbers (again, in my opinion).
Really set up a Time Machine backup. the drive should cost about $100, use it.
