Partial delivery issue

Hi All,
I have one issue regarding partial delivery. Here I am explaining with example.
I have customer say 10002 he has ordered products 'X' and 'Y'.
For product 'X' qty is 20 and Product 'Y' qty is 10. Now i have created order with this products and qty. During order creation product 'X' qty was available but product 'Y' qty was not available. When I created first time delivery I have created delivery successfully for product 'X' with qty 20.
After this delivery I have received product 'Y' stock. So second time I created a delivery for product 'Y', where in picking I have picked qty 5 instead of qty 10 then i did PGI. But I am getting system message "Delivery has not yet been put away / picked (completely)"
I have checked my customer master in shipping tap partial delivery allowed is there. I don’t have CM info and i don't have any values in order item line shipping tap Max.paritial delivery.
So where is going wrong. Pls help me in this regard.
regards
srini

In VL02N change the delivery quantity from 10 to 5 and then do PGI.
There error is for incompletion procedure that you have defined in your system.

• Unable to update purchase order after partial delivery

bold Issue:
After upgrading from v2005 > v2007:
1) We created a PO with two different purchase items :
row 1: 10 pcs Item x
row 2: 15 pcs item Y
2) create a Goods Receipt PO based on the PO row 2 (15 pcs Item Y) so this row will be closed in the PO.
3) after saving the GRPO item Y is set as a non purchase item (deselected the tick box "Purchase Item" on the Item master), because the supplier will not be able to deliver this item again.
4) After changing item Y, we want to update the amount of Item X to for example 11 (instead of 10). This item is still a purchase item > while updating the PO the following error appears:
[Purchase Order - Rows - Item No.][line: 2] , 'The item is not a purchase item (2)' [Message 131-10]
In v2005 it was possible to follow the above procedure, however since the upgrade of v2007 the error appears.
The problem is that that it happens very often that the suppliers change the items, so they cannot be delivered anymore.
bold Below the response of SAP Support:
Line: -
Yes, I understand what you mean that the item you want to deliver is the other item PQ which is still a purchase item. However, the system does the checking based on document level, and not filtering only per Open rows. Hence, even if the item for B8 is fully closed, the system still detects that there is a non-purchase item in an open document (B8).
In order to update the other item PQ, please set the item B8 back to Purchase Item. Once the Sales Order is updated, you may update B8 again to Non Purchase.
If the possibility of using the 'Active/Inactive' button is not possible, another workaround is to use a User Define Field to flag the item. For example, you can set it as 'Y', when the supplier stopp ed selling the item. Then, in the Item Search window, you can filter the records to group those items that are set as 'Y' and the rest as 'N'. Only those 'N' items can be used when placing orders.
As an added procedure, you can generate an approval procedure that will be triggered when an item that is set as 'Y' in the User Defined field is added in the Purchase Order. When the approval is trig gered, the user can then re-verify the items added and make the necessary changes before saving the purchase document.
I hope the above workaround is suitable. I agree with the expected logic, but per Note937297, the stock status of an item is not meant to be changed after documents are added in the system. It seems a limitation in the current system.

The system should check if the open row can be delivered, since it still is a purchase item.

• Partial Goods Issue against a Delivery Document

Dear Xperts,
I am having a scenario regarding standard Stock Transport Process with Delivery(Material Movement 641).
My requirement is, when I will create a Stock Transport Order the Delivery document will automatically be created at the same time. This can be achieved thru customization.
But the problem is , the material quantity in the delivery document will be same as the order quantity in PO.My question is :
1. Can the user change the quantity in delivery which is automatically got created at the time of PO creation.
2. If yes, then for the remaining order quantities , shall the system will automatically create another delivery?
3. If no, can we do partial goods issue against that delivery if total material is not available at sending plant? If yes , how to configure?
Means , In delivery my material qty is 10, can I do Post Goods Issue of leass than 10 qty & create a proforma invoice against that delivery and do the P.G.I. and Billing again against that delivery?
Plz advice.
Regards,
Soumick

Hi
As per your scenario you can do the PGI (post goods issue ) for partial quantity only if u required later for reaming quantity when ever stock is available that time you can do again PGI by using the same delivery no for reaming quantity but for this
In PO you have unchecked the Delivery completed indicator with this when ever complete goods are coming then only PO will
be close up to that PO will be in open Status

• How can partially goods issue in delivery document?

hi,
I created delivery document with 20 delivery quantity at first. after that I want to create partially goods issue. for example i want to have 10 quantity in pick quantity and at first 10 quantity goods issue and save and another time goods issue the remained quantity. but I can not configure the system to do this.
thank you.

Lida,
As per standard SAP, you cant do partially picking. If you want to do partial elivery of item, change the quantity of the delivery item in the delivery and pick the full qty. for example :
Sales Order 10 Qty,
Delivery 5 qty
Picking 5Qty
This will be partial delivery,
Thanks,

• Partial Delivery when the complete delivery flag is checked in Sales Order

We do the ATP check in APO when we create a sales order in R/3. We have "complete delivery" flag checked in Sales Order. But when we create batch orders say may be of 20, one of 20 is confirming with partial delivery.
We thought the issue is with ATP locking and we increased the re-attempts, but invain. We still have this partial confirming problem.
Appreciate your co-operation.
Thanks,
Sarath.

Have you maintained the following setings in R3:

• Purchase to Order Scenario - Partial Confirmation Issue

Hello Team,
We are using Item Category with Purchase to Order Scenario. When the Sales Order is booked, Purchase Requisition is Created. Sales Order Line is linked to the Purchase Requision/Purchase Order.
In this scenario, we are getting confirmation on Sales Order through PR/PO Initially.
Order Quantity Confirmed Quantity
10 10
Once we receive partial confirmation on PO let us say 7 system only confirms partially Sales Order.
Order Quantity Confirmed Quantity
10 7
Issue happens when our team does partial delivery to customer before receiving full confirmation from the Supplier. System blocks further update of confirmation on the line and it becomes impossible to make delivery to Customer for Partial Quantity.
I can think of two options...
1. Somehow when we receive Partial Cofnirmation, our Availibility Check should confirm 7 on Confirmation recieved from the Supplier and 3 from Delivery Date of Purchase Order. So this issue won't happen.
2. System should somehow allow Partial Confirmation even after Partial Delivery is done to the Customer.
Do let me know if you need any more details from my side.
Kaushal

Hi Kaushal,
i assume that you have special stock indicator in your sales order.
if you do not use confiramtion then all quantities are confirmed at schedule line level.
if you use confirmation e.x. 7 of 10 pieces then you will have confirmer 7 quantities in your schedule line.
if you create another confirmation in PO of 2 pieces and lets say different date you will see another schedule line in your sales order.
do your system works like this?
Is your third party scenario require a googds receipt for PO to move on to delivery?
Regards.

• Delivery qty not correct for partial delivery

Hi, I met some issues need your help!
1) Create a sales order base on the sales bom.
2) Current stock and supply is not available for the required delivery date.
3) According to the current stock or supply qty.only confirm partial qty for the components.
eg.
the structure of this sales bom as below:
Material: A 1PC --> B  1PC
Material: A 1PC --> C  1PC
After ATP check ,the result as below.
item 10 mateiral A (Header) 100PC ( not relevent for inventory)
item 20 mateiral B(component) 100PC confirmed 30PC
item 30 material C(component) 100PC. confirmed 10PC
4) Create delivery(partial delivery) with the selection date.
5) We can find the component quantity is correct but the header quantity is incorrect.

Hi
Configure the field 'Create Delivery Group' in the item category of BOM (VOV7) in the Bill of Material/Configuration area. Please go thro the F1 help details of that field..
Form delivery group and correlate BOM components
Here you can determine whether sub-items that belong to a main item, and which resulted from a BOM explosion, are to be combined in a delivery group.
Use
You use a delivery group to determine a common delivery date for all the items that it contains. If you double the quantity ordered for the main item, then the order quantity for the sub-item will also be doubled.
Indicator X means that a delivery date is created for the delivery group. The system uses the last date (chronologically) of an item in this group to create the schedule line date.
Indicator A means that the system generates correlated schedule lines. If no complete delivery is required, as soon as all the items in a bill of material are available, the system creates a correlated schedule line. On the first date, when all items in a bill of material are available, a confirmed quantity is issued.
Thanks,
Ravi

• GATP wrong allocated quantity in case of partial delivery or item rejection

Dear Experts,
we're currently working on an gATP solution (ECC > SCM 5.0) which works fine except for following issue for which i kindly ask you for your great support:
- When i create a sales order for 100 TO, the quantity is properly assigned in the respective CVC in APO. (Allocation shown in /SAPAPO/AC42)
- Creating a delivery for this SO for maybe 70 TO does not influence the allocation (Allocation still shown in /SAPAPO/AC42)
- Goods issue does not influence allocation -> so far so good ... until now i can always see the order and allocation of 100 TO in /SAPAPO/AC42. I cannot see the delivery in AC42 whereas i can see it in RRP3
- Canceling/Rejecting the sales order item (no delivery for left qty) does release full 100 TO in APO instead of 30 TO which seems wrong as this impacts the whole product allocation (would be easy to create an order for 101, deliver 100, cancel order and have all volume available again). Same happens if partial delivery flag on shipping tab is set to B
- If i undo the cancelation, the system allocates only 30 TO in APO again (diff. between SO qty and delivered quantity) -> seems incosistent and wrong
For me, i would expect following behaviour:
- release only the delta between order qty and delivered qty when rejecting the order
or
- when creating the delivery, it should reduce the allocated qty of the SO to 30 (rest/open qty) and create a new allocation for the order for 70 to. Doing so, the rejection of the SO would correctly release 30to
i would really highly appreciate your input!
Thank you,
Martin

Dear Maawdee,
I know its a genuine requirement but this funtionality is not possible with standard GATP.
And i guess it is even un achievable with customisation.

• Third party Partial Delivery by vendor

Dear Experts,
During third party process, if the vendor does partial delivery to the customer i.e. 50 instead of 100. now my question is can we process the remaning 50. if yes how?
Regards...

Hi,
Process
VA01 - Create sales order(Qty 100 ) >> ME52N - PR generated after save of OR >> ME21N - Convert PR in to PO >> Then vendor will ship goods to customer(qty 50 ) >> MIRO - Invoice receipt from vendor for qty 50 >> VF01 - then invoice issue to customer for qty 50
Now again vendor will ship remaining qty 50 and will send you invoice then enter that vendor invoice and again create final invoice to customer.

• Partial delivery with BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2

Dear All,
Is there a way to force partial delivery in BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 ?
By default "complete delivery" is chosen.
I read somewhere that people fixed the issue using transaction OVZJ but in my case, this solution is not satisfactory because if I change this customizing, it changes the working order of the transaction VA01 (sales order creation).
If found a dedicated flag (PART_DLV) in ITEMS_IN table but I was not able to make it work...
Follow my example:
- 27 items in stock
- I want to make an order for 30 items
- VA01 creates the sales order and a delivery with confirmed quantity 27
- BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2 creates the sales order and u201Cno delivery createdu201D.
Thanks for your help.
Best regards

In order to give the solution to all reader in the future. I finally find a solution.
I wrote an OSS message to SAP and they aswer me in this way:
"Dear Customer,
In a BAPI, the ATP check is performed in the background.
Since the system is performing the availability check
in background, the availability screen cannot be performed.
So it is not able to make decisions regarding full
delivery, delivery proposal...In this case, the system uses
the configuration found in OVZJ. If your availability checking
rule in OVZJ is blank, the system will choose full delivery.
Sorry, but I can not give you a better solution to customizing in
OVZJ, if you whish a partial delivery."
In that transaction in customizing I insert the value "E" and the partial delivery is created from VA01 and from bapi too.

• Combining 2 Sales Orders - 'Complete' with 'Partial' Delivery into 1 Delv

Hi folks,
I have a typical requirement from my client and it is as follows:
My client want to combine 'Sales Orders' marked with 'Complete Delivery' indicator(VBAK-AUTLF check-box is checked) at the Header -> Shipping, with Sales Orders marked for 'Partial Delivery' (VBAK-AUTLF is not checked) in the Header-> Shipping.
Although all the other business conditions/fields values at the Header levels, like Ship-To_party, Shipping Conditions, Incoterms, etc. are same across both these Sales Orders; SAP as a standard Business Process Flow, doesnot allow COMBINING of 2 such orders into a SINGLE Delivery, since their 'Headers' seem to differ for that ONE field value.
I have searched through all user-exits, SAP Help forums as well as OSS notes to get a solution to this problem but could not find any (bad luck).
Will anyone of you who has come across this particular scenario or know a way to get around this problem, be able to contribute with his/her ideas? I would be
grateful, thanks in advance.
Regards,
Shripad

Hi iim nava,
Thanks for your reply.
However in our case, the system does throw that error, when i try to combine the second order (partial) into the delivery created for the first order (complete). Here is the log for your reference, when I try to add the second(partial so items) into the delivery created for the first (complete delivery SO):
Diagnosis
Item 000010 cannot be shipped in the same delivery with the
other items in the document because the header data (AUTLF)
is different. The field AUTLF for the item has the value &4,
yet in the delivery it has X.
System Response
The system issues this message if a delivery split is
necessary.
This message either appears in the collective processing log
or during creation of outbound deliveries from projects or
for subcontracting. It informs you that the item specified
will be shipped in a delivery other than the delivery that
includes the other items from the same document. If there was
a general problem with shipment of the delivery, a different
message appears.
If this message appears when you are creating an outbound
delivery with reference to a sales order in the foreground,
it indicates that the order item cannot be shipped with the
current outbound delivery.
By any chance, did you actually try simulating my scenario in your system. If you have and the same works fine in your system, then pls help me by sending your 'copy control' settings, to help me compare. We run SAP 4.6 and my settings for copy control are as follows:
LF <-> OR (Header):
Data Transfer (VBAK) = 001 [HEADER]
Data Transfer HU = 000 [blank]
Order Requirements (VBAK) = 001 [HEADER]
Combination Requirements = 651 [051 w/o Comp dlv]
LF <-> OR <-> TAN (Item):
Item Data = 101 [ITEM]
Order Requirements (VBAK) = 101 [ITEM]
Business Data = 2 [BUSINESS DATA]
Buss Data Reqmt = 151 [COMBINATION]
Hope the feedback can you will help me solve my problem. Thanks once again.

• Partial delivery SO status became completed

Dear All,
I faced the following problem:
1. SO was created for 10 pcs
2. Via SO reference a delivery doc was created for 5 pcs
3. WM-TO was created and PGI was executed
4. The status of SO item became completed
What is the reason? I checked VTLA > document flow update is set. No partial delivey indicators are maintained in SO and customer master (the field is blank).
I'd like to ask you to please help if you can.
Thanks,
Csaba

Dear All,
I'd like to ask to please help in this issue.
I tested the same without WM and in case of partial delivery I faced the same problem: the status of the sales order becomes completed.
1. SO created for 2 pcs (VA01)
2. Delivery document created for 1 pc (VL01N)
3. Picking (w/o WM!) was done (VL01N) > 'Pick status' & 'Overall pick status' become 'C'; 'Pick confirmation' Picking/putaway confirmation' become 'C' (delivery document, 'Status overview' tab)
The result is that SO becomes 'Completed'.
If I delete the picked qty from 'Pick qty' field (VL02N, delivery doc 'Picking' tab) and I save the result:
1. 'Pick status' & 'Overall pick status' become 'A'; 'Pick confirmation' Picking/putaway confirmation' remain 'C' (delivery document, 'Status overview' tab)
2. After saving the above mentioned change SO document remains completed.
(Please consider no GI took place!!!)
If I delete the item from Delivery doc, SO becomes open (not delivered - don't know exactly what is the proper expression since I1m not in english environment) again - so it seems something is wrong with picking...
Thanks,
Csaba

• Partial delivery without GR Based IV in split valuation scenario

Dear,
We are using split valuation for our materials.
I'm reading on http://help.sap.com/saphelp_di46c2/helpdata/EN/47/61017e49f011d1894c0000e829fbbd/frameset.htm the following sentence:
In the case of partial deliveries for a purchase order, you can only valuate each partial delivery separately if goods-receipt-based Invoice Verification has been defined in the purchase order (the field GR based IV must be selected on the order item screen). If goods-receipt-based Invoice Verification has not been defined, the valuation type that you enter for the first partial delivery is binding for the following partial deliveries.
We have the requirement to valuate partial deliveries separately.
We can however not switch on the GR-based IV flag. The business scenario requires the invoice posting to Goods In Transit to be done before the Goods receipt booking.
Moreover, additional unplanned delivery costs need to be debited to the PO lines after the initial invoice posting, which is not possible in a GR-based IV scenario. (GR quantities can only be invoiced once)
How can I separately valuate partial deliveries without switching on the GR-based IV flag?
Thanks for your swift reply.

Hi Ravi and Yann,
Thank you for your inputs. OSS note-956083 can not be applied in my case due to the hight system version (patch level 550).
I have already raised this issue to SAP, but in the lack of proper infrastrucure SAP can not access the system. (BASIS guys are still struggling with it)
Well...let me give you recap-
We have not activated nor implemented any BAdi so far (Vanila SRM 5.0 EC scenario) PO creation for goods is working fine and as desired. But when it come across with PO with limit item or services, system throws an error as -
"PO 5100000263: Service-based invoice verif. requires GR "NO" or G R-based invoice verif."
Would deeply appreciate if you guys can share insight on this issue.
Thank you for your assistance!

• Partial delivery in Pick and Pack Manager

Hi All,
I have two issues in Pick and Pack Manager,
I am not able to pick partial quantity in Pick and Pack manager or Pick list, even if Sales order is set to "Allow Partial Delivery".
I have a sales order with 1 inventory item and 1 non-inventory item. When I release the order for picking only inventory item is shown to be picked that is fine. After the order has been pick and I create Manual Delivery or Automatic Delivery, if the order is set to "Allow Partial Delivery" then Delivery is created but the non-inventory item Qty is shown as zero on delivery. When the order is not set to "Allow Partial Delivery" then system gives a message "Order cannot be copied partially". Why is the Qty not being copied to Delivery? Is this patch level issue?
Document setting for Pick List:
Automatically copy all open rows from the sales order or reserve invoice - Is ticked
Consider Sales Document Settings for Partial Delivery in the Pick and Pack Process - Is ticked
