Partners in CRM as users in EP

Hello,
  can anybody provide me some information on the following question in the subject? The use case would be: in a specific scenario an internet self-service application needs to be created, served by an EP. The users logging in on this portal should be tracked in CRM. I'd need to know how is it possible to have "partners" defined in CRM as users in the Portal.

You find more information related to "Chat for Channel Partner" under the key word "Live Support" or "Live Web Collaboration" , for example when you search the CRM 2007 documentation in the Help Portal (http://help.sap.com).
The Live Web Collaboration is part of the CRM Web Channel capabilities which enable real-time communication between the online partner and a live customer service representative, using the following capabilities
- Immediate personal assistance at your fingertips
- Ability for partners to choose their preferred communication, such as Chat sessions, or E-mail
- Routing to the right agent at the right time
- Agents provided with context information to best serve the partner

    In the customizing of the business partner roles for the role type CRM000 (and for all the others) Organization, Person and Group is all allowed by default.
    The download itself and the number ranges work fine.

    The reason for the problem is unknown but a workaround is to first initial load BUPA_MAIN instead of CUSTOMER_MAIN, then the right business partner category is taken by the system

    Do you know? In CRM where you can link one record with the other based on the same value of the
    field (e.g. you can use Sugar for email, but email is not linked to contacts). This is possible by doing some hacking in the database. Do you know any other CRM where users can do this in interface?

        It could be that DSO_X is a write optimized DSO. Since a Write optimised DSO does not require any activation, it is capable of loading data much faster. Once the data is in BW, you have an exact copy of the R/3 data, so you dont need the PSA and they can be deleted on a regular basis. You have a definite performance improvement in this case.
       As you said a backup is also possible if you have a DSO. Helps in the case of LIS loads, since you already have a copy of the data in BW, you would not need to perform setup activties if you need to do so minor changes.
       It could also be that different transformations are happening at each level of DSO. You would need to check for start and update routines for exactly what changes are being made. for eg. If I need to change some records, i do it in DSO_X, if i need to change these records based on the changes made in DSO_X, i change them while loading to DSO. Further changes can be done while loading to the cube.

    Which version of B1 using? 2007/8.8
    There is a documentation about the licenses.
    CRM Sales User (Standalone) was an old systems, and in 8.8 Limited CRM User  is a real license type, on 2007 is means professional user.

  • Unable to transfer Business Partners from CRM to Handheld

    Hi Guys,
    I am setting up a mobile environment using ME2.1. The setup  has successfully happened and now i am facing a problem on transferring master data from CRM to Handheld. I have done the following:-
    1) Assigned the User of Mobile a business partner in Employee role
    2) Assigned a position to the business partner at the Sales org level
    3) Have done the basic settings for handheld, i.e. created a PPR applicable to accounts, Users and Products (All required business partners and products have been assigned to this PPR)
    4) Added all the required business partners as my favourties
    5) Created a Business partner as an organisation in maximum possible roles and used the business partner in the reference account while doing the basic settings for handheld.
    6) Done relevant transaction type setting for transferring the transactional data
    After all the above, now i can see transactional data on the handheld as well as products. However in the business partners tab, i can only see the employee attached to my user-id and nothing else.
    Am i missing something out in the customizing? Please help me.

    unfortunately I can't help you with this problem. But can you give me some Links to Documentation for the Solution you implemented? Was the Documentation correct and usable? We are also currently implementing CRM 4.0 and find many inconsistencies.

  • SAP Business One 8.81 PL08 Mobile APP CRM Standalone User Access issue

    Dear All
    Is any facing the problem of Mobile application user with CRM Standalone license ,this user always has a permission denied problem (he is assigned all the licenses required .and authorization on the SAP is full .  SSL certificate is installed ). I have installed the troubleshooting (.zip) file which dosent show up the panel .
    Any Idea how to resolve?

    Hi Dayal,
    well, it is neither recommended, nor tested or supported. Such installation attempt would go on your own responsibility. Of course you can try if, for example, a newer version from 8.82 works here, but this should be tested extensively, depending on how other processe are based on it.
    Actually your 8.81 PL08 should not have reported problem since B1if version 1.10.0 should have been included in this package and last update action, maybe you can check here again.
    In general, we recommend you upgrade to version 9.1 currently, unlike version 8.81 this version is in maintenance and offers all improvements, new features and bugfixes from the last 3,5 years.
    I'm sure it's worth to consider a general upgrade.

      The requirement in our project is to have as mandatory at least one BP Role (except the default role of BP). Is there any way to implement or configure the CRM system to display an error message when a user tries to save a BP from WEB UI without having maintained the BP Role ?

    Before raising the error message as Garcia suggested check the collection of bp_roles.. if no roles maintain then raise the message.
    you can raise the message in eh_onsave event of BP_HEAD/BPHEADOverview.
    Sample code to check the collection of bp roles..

  • Initial Load of IS-U business partners to CRM - bdoc error

    Hi Gurus,
    i try to do an initial download from R/3 IS-U to CRM. Several objects from customizing have already been downloaded successfully. When downloading the business partners i get a bdoc error message for every single BP saying that
    'business partner role MKK is not available' Number R1206
    I figured out that the business partners in IS-U do have that role 'Contract partner' (which is technical 'MKK') and that data is maintained there. I also checked CRM and figured out that a business partner role 'contract partner' is not available there.
    Should i create it manually?? It is nowhere mentioned that a CRM role 'contract partner' should be created manually. Shouldn't the middleware do that? I found a document on service marketplace called 'IS-U specifics on the setup and load guide for the business partners' where i can read:
    'Sold-to-parties in CRM are replicated as contract partners in the OLTP system and vice versa'
    Does that mean that this mapping of roles is hardcoded? Is it customizeable? Does somenone know where to customize the mapping of business partner roles?

    Looks like as if you haven't activated the IS-U specific FM "COM_BUPA_MWX_BPS_FILL_ISU" in the BP middleware framework where the conversion between the IS-U role "MKK" and the CRM role "CRM000" takes place:
    Check via SM30 table com_bupa_call_fu in the IS-U system if the above FM is activated.

    I find this chapter but I don't understand how to work with BADI <b>CRM_COND_COM_BADI.</b>
    <b>My objective is to create Java user-exit using Custom Tables and Fileds.</b>

    To summarize, if the information used in a requirement is not depending on the current calculation result, then the information can be passed to the pricing engine. This is the best way to avoid e.g. DB or JCo calls from the user exits.
    Nearly all application scenarios using the pricing engine provide a way of filling additional attributes.
    1. Create a field catalogue entry for the additional attribute
    2. Program the filling of that attribute value
    The application calling the pricing engine and the way it is allowing customer code to fill or influence attributes is not part of this document. Here is only a short list of documentation to start with (also various notes exist):

    The BADI CRM_COND_COM_BADI is used for filling the pricing communication structure.
    If you have added any field at header level of the field catelog that will available in the changing parameter of the method HEADER_COMMUNICATION_STRUCTURE.
    If you have added any field at item level of the field catelog that will available in the changing parameter of the method ITEM_COMMUNICATION_STRUCTURE.
    Additional fields added at catelog can be filled with the values using this BADI.

  • Traffic Lights - SAP CRM 7 - User's Inbox

    Hi All,
    How can we configure trafic lights for transactions displayed in the users inbox ( SAP CRM 7).
    Are the traffic lights controlled by the due date in the date profile ?
    What is logic used by the system to assign colors to each of the transactions ? CAn this logic be controlled or changed ?
    Any help/guidance on how to configure traffic lights will be much appreciated.

    You can refer out of the box traffic lights functionality in component view CRMCMP_GS_WC/TodaysTasks . Look at method GET_P_DUE under context node RESULTNEW.
    First system calculates the variable gv_due_value using the following code.
    rv_value = get_due_value( lr_entity ).
    gv_due_value = rv_value.
    Within method GET_DUE_VALUE system compares task date with current date to determine if it overdue.
    IF sy-datlo GT lv_date_to.
        rv_value = gc_due-overdue.
      ELSEIF sy-datlo EQ lv_date_to.
        rv_value = gc_due-due_today.
      ELSE.
        rv_value = gc_due-due_later.

  • Navigation Bar & Work areas not appearing in CRM Webclient User Interface.

    We are into SAP CRM 6.0 implementation. I have created a new Business role (ZIC_Agent) copying the standard one IC_Agent
    I have assigned default layout profile, role key and the assigned navigation bar profile is ZIC_Agent, which is copied form standard navigation bar profile (IC_Agent).
    I have assigned the role to a Org unit in the Organization Model.
    But when I try to execute the Webclient UI, it is not showing the Navigation bar and work area in the screen, whereas it is working absolutely fine with another standard business role (Servicepro) which has already been assigned in the system.
    I could not understand that, why I am getting this error.
    I request you to help me in resolving the issue. Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

    Hi Raghu Ram,
    To do a quick testing if the business role is working properly, assign it to your user directly in transaction SU01.
    Add parameter CRM_UI_PROFILE in SU01 for your user and give your Zbusiness role in the value (all caps).
    If this is still not working, check the pfcg role that is assigned to the Business role and regenerate the authorizations. You can do this in transaction PFCG.
    This should solve your problem.

  • CRM Analytics - User Authorization Not Suficient

    Hi Guys,
    We have implemented the CRM analytics report, however when I access the menu Sales Pro in CRM and try to open the report Closed Opportunities, I get the error : User Authorization not sufficient.
    If I open the error I get the message :
    Diagnosis
    The user doesnot exist in the BI client or has insufficient authorizations
    Procedure
    Contact system administrator to verify the user is setup properly in both CRM and BI client
    Procedure for System Administration
    Verify that the user exist in BI client with the same user id, if not create it and assign proper authorizations as per the configuration guide.
    When I run the query or the webtemplate in BW I don't have authorization problems, but I can't run from CRM.
    Any suggestion about how to fix it?

    Hi Fernando,
    The report which you have implemented is doing a RFC call to BI system where some other system program is getting called which have authorization logic check for the RFC user ( or the person who is running the report). here report is terminating with error. I have face the similar issue.
    generally such reports we use to schedule as a background job with batch user which have SAP ALL access but I feel in your case user who runs the report have not sufficent authorization in BI system and also you are not running report as an background job.
    There aretwo tricks to findout the missing authorization which I also have used.
    First option : close all the session except one in CRM and than run the report as soon as the error comes open transaction code SU53 to know the missing authorization - may be you can fail here as the authorization check fail in BI.
    Second option definitely will work. Whenerror is coming double click on the mmessage to know the message detail(class and number) than again run the report in debugging mode (/H- type in address bar to activate debugging) than set breakpoint in the message and press f8( may be system will not set the break point immediately than you need to debug till the RFC calls BI system) . system will take you to the exact authorization code check where the error is coming. there you can find out the missing authorization object which is not included in the user assigned role. than can ask access team to add in the user role.
    I hope this will solve your issue. Please revert with your finding.

Currently, what I wanted to do in CRM, when a user enters a customers address on the fields (street no., street name, bldg number, country, etc. the content of an address), I want it to go to a customized Java or ABAP object that connects to a database to check for the address.
    I was looking at the possible solution of user exits to do this. I have the impression user exits can be used if one wants to customize the functionality. Am I correct? Or am I looking at it the wrong way? Thanks again.
