  • How Do I Reset Keychain and Get Rid of All the Password Popups?

I was away four a few weeks and just before doing so I had reset my user password? When I returned I couldn't remember it, so I had to reset it in recovery mode. After doing this and booting up I'm getting oodles of prompts to enter my Keychain Login which I do not know, so I do reset which doesn't take. Mail also asks for all my mail accounts passwords which I enter and do not take either.
How can I clear all the Keychain info and start from scratch before I pull all my hair out?
Lastly, I do not backup Keychain to iCloud.
    OS 10.9.4

I talked to Apple Technical Support last night about it.  What caused mine to start popping up was that I changed my settings and created a login password for my computer.  It must not have been the same password as my keychain password so keychain password popups started.  Technical support had me reset keychain with the login required for my computer and now I don't have popups anymore.
If you have AppleCare on your computer that is current, you can call technical support with any issues and they'll gladly walk you through your Mac troubles.

I deleted one of the email accounts from my i5 because I don't like all the password popups since upgradingto ios 7.2, and now ALL calendar entries are gone!  I need them!!!  Can anyone help?

Well you need to add the email account back to get the calendar entries. Transfer them to another email provider.  Then delete the account you don't want.

  • How do I stop random voicemail password popups?

Upgraded last night to 3G. Now I'm getting random voicemail password popups. How do I stop them?
BTW I never setup a voicemail password in my first phone nor in the new phone.
    Thank you, Doug

I had the same problem with my 3G. On my previous iPhone, I set up voicemail and of course, to access my voicemail I had to enter a password. So, I had a password from my old iPhone. After so many random popups for the voicemail password, I decided not to press CANCEL, but to type in my previous voicemail password. Once I did that, the random voicemail password popups ended. I discovered that the random voicemail password popups were coming each time someone wass calling me and the call went to my voicemai. Once I typed in the password, all of the voicemails appeared in the display, which were not there previously, and the random popups have not appeared since then, and that has been since July 11. Perhaps you should set up your voicemail, then enter the password and hopefully this will end your random voicemail password popups. This worked for me. A friend had the same issue, and it worked for him.

  • Icloud password popup

I keep getting an iCloud Password popup asking me to enter my password.  Entering the password and hitting login causes the popup to go away and immediately reopen.  Hitting cancel does the same thing.  How do I make this popup go away?

Try deleting the iCloud password from Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access. Run Keychain Fist Aid while you are there.

  • Anonymous user - getting id/password popup when accessing KM folder & files

    Hi All,
We are trying to expose a KM folder [/documents/myDocs] to anonymous users (User: Guest assigned to 'Anonymous Users' group)
i've created a KM Navigation iview and assigned to 'anonymous' role (and this role assigned to 'Anonymous Users' group).
when i open the page as a Guest user, i get:
    - i see that an image (annotations image : /etc/public/mimes/images/ico16_note.gif ) opens the popup even though i have given '/etc' folder READ permissions to 'Anonymous Users' group; and FULLCONTROL to 'Everyone' group)
    - Also, when I navigate to an inner folder and try opening a PDF file, i get a popup asking for id & password
i checked default trace and i see this error:
    Guest | ACCESS.ERROR | /documents/myDocs/RPT/RPT_NOTIFY/RPT_HELP.pdf | leaf_delete
    Guest | ACCESS.ERROR | /documents/myDocs/RPT/RPT_NOTIFY | node_delete
i have already gone through SAP NOTE:  837898 - How to configure anonymous CM access. Doesn't help.
    Can anyone help?
Waiting for ur response, Thank you,
    SK.

    Hello SK,
Download com.sap.km.cm.par and open it on Developer Studio, check if Authentication Scheme=anonymous for both docs and navigation components
When you open the page the image is displayed by the docs (com.sap.km.cm.docs) component, if the system is displaying a login screen at navigation the solution above might fix it
    regards,

  • Serious problem with password popup

As of today I have a problem when I open the padlock from system preferences. After I open it, it's password protected. After that it shows the next popup:
Ca someone help me on this one?
    Thanks in advance!

Restart, holding down the SHIFT key, and then restart normally. That will reset the font databases and should clear up your problem. Do note that this procedure wipes out any custom font collections that you might have set up.

  • How to kill iCloud password popup on Mac start up?

iCloud password is asked every time I reboot my mac. Can't turn it off. It makes me crazy! How to kill this popup? MacBook Pro Yosemite OS X 10.10.2 (14C109)

    Good Afternoon vonnavi,
If you are repeatedly being asked to enter your iCloud password on your Mac, try these steps to resolve the issue:
iCloud: Account troubleshooting - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203512
Go to My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com), click “Manage your Apple ID,” and try to sign in with your Apple ID. If you are unable to sign in, follow the steps provided there to reset your Apple ID account password.
I receive a “failed user name or password” alert when attempting to sign in at iCloud.com, in iCloud preferences (Mac), or in the iCloud Control Panel (PC).
Make sure that you're entering your entire Apple ID when you sign in (for example, if your Apple ID is [email protected], make sure that you aren't trying to sign in with just “username”).
Verify that the Caps Lock key is not enabled. All passwords are case sensitive.
Make sure that you're using the correct iCloud-associated Apple ID and not a different Apple ID used for other services. For more information about having more than one Apple ID, refer to Using your Apple ID for Apple services.
If needed, reset your Apple ID password at iforgot.apple.com.
If you use the same Apple ID for iCloud as you do for other Apple Services, (for example, Apple Online Store, iTunes Store, or Mac App Store), changing your iCloud account password also changes your password for the other Apple services. Make sure that you sign in to those services using your new password. Also, be sure to update your Apple ID password on all of your devices and computers that may use your Apple ID (such as any email applications that you use to receive iCloud email).
I can't sign in to iCloud on my Mac due to an alert stating that my email address has not been verified.
If you can't sign in due to the alert “Account not verified - Check your email for instructions for verifying your account”:
Close and reopen iCloud preferences before attempting to sign in to iCloud again.
If that does not resolve the issue, check your email folder and Junk folder for a verification email sent from Apple.
If there is no verification email in your email folder or Junk folder, click the Resend Verification Email button in iCloud preferences.
    Hope this helps ...
    - Judy

  • Stop Master Password popup on hidden login box? (display:none)

I have a hidden login box on my website using "display:none" CSS and slides out using jquery, but Firefox shows the master password (Password Required) popup when it's hidden.
Is there a way to only show the pop-up when they have clicked the button? It's a bit like the mozilla logo in the top-right.

    Hi, Welcome to Apple Discussions,

  • Mac shows iCloud password popup every boot.

I get this popup window every boot.
Why does that window show up?
and How can I fixed it?
    +
    I reinstalled OS X 10.9.3 today.
Before reinstalling, I didn't see that window.

    You are  not alone.
This needs an Apple iCloud Guru to clarify & solve.
This first showed up for me in Mavericks 10.9.3, and was not fixed in 10.9.4. Neither was a beta version. Updating to a later version of the OS also fails to resolve this suggesting that perhaps it is the iCloud authentication server that is broke -AGAIN!
Unfortunately the Apple helpdesk knows nothing of this issue, or are trying to keep lit under wraps.
My guess is that some of the downloads from Software Update are in fact experimental builds, Noting that is some countries Apple is playing with two factor authentication, perhaps we have been hit by a build that is trying out an alternative authentication method, that simply keeps failing. Though perhaps it is geolocation triggered, as doing a clean install achieves no improvement.
ICloud, which I prefer to call iClod still has bugs, but unfortunately those best able to fault find the authentication system are not available to users, so getting this bug fixed will involve further contributions from more clued up users.
Unfortunately it seems that the failure manifests in several ways, with at least 3 different, but cryptic seemingly random dialogue boxes appearing in response to entered passwords, and also no apparent response at all, i.e., no change.
What is odd is that one can be successfully signed in to iCoud, able to manage ones account, but unable to successfully verify ones password in the preference pane. Looking deeper in the console loads there is reference to a file not being able to be written. So is this a permissions issue, or is the preferences file to be written missing from the bundle from the iCloud bundle.
And even more oddly when one intentionally enters an incorrect password in the password verification dialogue, iCloud seems to correctly identify it as an incorrect password, suggesting that iCloud recognises a correct password but then fails to complete the verification transaction.
Note this iCloud preference pane userID password verification process is not documented anywhere that I have been able to discover. Is it another inadvertent FEATURE of OS X that was mostly deprecated because it did't work as expected?
One day Apple will wake up and instigate a dedicated iCloud help call centre tasked to ensure that all users have access to this service which has become intrinsic to ownership and use of a Mac.

  • HT1688 when I use my iphone, the password popup is always popping up!!! Never stops... What gives?

The Popup always says,,,," incorect password" When I hit cancel it goes away but comes right back... and when I plug it into my pc it says no new pictures fowund on device...lies I say!!!    Its a brand new iphone 5....ugh!!!

On the iPhone go to Settings > iTunes & App Stores.
Select your Apple ID and at the menu window that appears, select Sign Out.
Follow this by signing back in with your Apple ID there.
If this is for an email account that you are accessing with the Mail app, you need to re-enter the password.
Regarding the PC indicating there are no pictures found on the device when there are some photos in the Camera Roll, the lying is being done by your PC.

  • Email Password Popup

Why does my iPhone 5 keep asking for my Yahoo email account password? It's already stored in the Settings/Mail, Contacts, Calendars. I doesn't matter what I want to do on my iPhone (make a call, FB, etc), I get a popup asking to enter it. H E L P!!! #annoyed

    Hi StlSkyBabe,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I understand that your iPhone 5 is prompting you for your email password. There is some information about this situation with Yahoo! accounts specifically. I would suggest making sure your Yahoo! password is an alphanumeric (letters and numbers) password and testing on your iPhone.
iPhone can't access Yahoo! Mail when non-alphanumeric characters are used in the account password

  • MobileMe removed but "invalid password" popup persists

    Hello,
I'm having difficulties pertaining to what I assume is MobileMe software lingering on my computer. I'm running an iMac 9,1 with OS X 10.6.8. Awhile ago I uninstalled the MobileMe software. Despite the program seemingly gone from the computer, I'm still getting a popup ~every 30 mins that reads,
"You entered an invalid MobileMe member name or password. Verify your MobilMe member name and password in MobileMe System Preferences."
I'm perplexed as to how this popup is continuing. I've verified all of the MobileMe program files are gone from the computer (cannot locate any in the System/Library, Library/Preferences, or Library/LaunchDaemons folders, and have verified no files exist within the Keychains). MobileMe no longer exists in my System Preferences. There is no sync icon in the top right corner.
Can anyone help me stop this pesky popup?
    Many thanks,
    -Bailey

Do you have programs you were syncing with MobileMe that might be trying to access the non-existent web site?
