Patch 4.6.21.1 File to modify?

Hello,
I'm trying to install Berkeley DB 4.6.21 in a Solaris 10 machine (sparc), so I have downloaded the files "db-4.6.21.tar.gz" and "patch.4.6.21.1". After unzipping the first file, I have the folder db-4.6.21 where I have copied the file of the patch.
When I run:
patch -p0 < patch.4.6.21.1
the system says in Spanish:
Parece una diff de contexto de nuevo estilo
Archivo que modificar: _
(in English, I think the traduction would be something like this:
It seems there is a diff of context of the new style
File to modify: _
My question is... which file do I have to answer?
Thanks in advance!
Rocio.

Hello,
I just tried to apply a patch on a Solaris 10 machine
and I get the same message:
$ patch -Np0 < db_dump.diff
Looks like a new-style context diff.
File to patch:
This could indicate an out-of-date version of patch.
You can continue if you type in the file being patched.
In my case I was patching db_dump/db_dump.c and inputting
that name allowed patch to apply the diff:
$ patch -Np0 < db_dump.diff
Looks like a new-style context diff.
File to patch: db_dump/db_dump.c
done
Take a look at the files being patched by patch.4.6.21.1
(e.g. just edit patch.4.6.21.1 and see what files are referenced)
and try inputting those files when asked.
Hope that helps,
Sandra

  • Looking for a third party utility to replace a file's "modified Date" field

    For video files, apparently the organizer displays the thumbnails with the date taken from the file's "modified date" field. For some wierd reason (which I'm discussing with Adobe CS) the organizer changed the date of all my videos in the "modified date" field, so now the chronology of all my video clips in the organizer went down the drain.
    Is there a third party utility to replace the "modified date" field of a file with the original shot date? (which in W7 is shown in the "Date" field).
    In other words: for every video file in my library, I want to take the date from the "Date" field and put it in the "Modified Date" field
    Thanks for your help.

    OK thanks.
    I've found a utility that modifes several of the date fields.
    Now, I just want to be sure that I don't screw this up...
    Which of the several date fields of a file holds the actual shot date?
    Which of the date fields is used by the organizer to "organize" the video files (avi and mov's) chronologically?
    Thanks for your help

  • Take an existing text file and modify values

    I’m looking to take an existing text file and modify certain values inside of it. Then save it to a new file, with all the same formatting as the original. The file format is not uniform and can change.
    Basically the file is:
    Random numbers and letters of unknown length for an unknown number of lines.
    Label="Test_#"
    Description
    String
    X=123
    Y=456
    Z=-789
    20 lines of strings with numbers in them
    Label="Test_#2"
    Description
    String
    X=-1232
    Y=4562
    Z=7892
    Then it repeats a set number of times.
    I want to modify the X Y and Z = values for each Test_#.
    I’ve managed to import the important values into a numeric array and I have a different array with values that will replace the existing ones. I’m having troubles replacing the existing ones. There are no zeros before or after the existing numbers so they are all different lengths.
    If anyone has any sample code that does anything similar please post it. I’m sure someone has done something like this in the past.
    Solved!

    I just thought I would throw this out there.  Can you make the .txt file tokenized?  This would make searching for specific parameters much easier.

  • How to change ACH File ID Modifier in ACH CCD File in SAP SAPFPAYM program?

    Hi,
    We are using ACH CCD File transmission using PMW to send ACH file to get incoming customer payment to the bank. In one F110 run, we have multiple house banks in a single company code, so we will have three different files to send. Here our issue is since these three files are generated through a single payment run, the date and time stamp on the three files will be same so we will have the same File ID Modifier in the Header record of the ACH file. But bank is not able to identify these three files as unique files because the File ID Modifier is same for all three files. In SAP unless these files are generated at different time, they all will have same File ID Modifier. Now we need to change this as per banks requirement. Can any one please help me on how to do this?
    Thanks,
    Ramesh

    Hi Ramesh,
    Agree with your last comments about File ID of DMEE file.
    But if bank is same but has different accounts in different branches, to distinguish them we have SWIFT code or IBAN.
    The same file means the same DMEE generated file, probably with different tags with different data. As long as the final bank is same for ex. ICICI, it may have branches in different states but usually the format will be same for a bank , but the value of the tags may differ for different branches.
    Cheers,

  • How do you know what folder/file to modify?

    Ok, I've had Sun Support on site and even they couldn't tell me exactly how this works and the Sun Support phone support is clueless...
    All I need to do is change the "look & feel" of the portal so how am I supposed to know what folder/file to modify to get what I need?
    Setup:
    * Nested Tabs setup and working
    * JSPTabContainer contains the following:
    * First Top Tab is:
    <Container name="MyNestedTabContainer" provider="JSPTabContainerProvider" merge="replace">
    * Then first inner tab is thus:
    <Container name="MyHomeTableContainer" provider="JSPTableContainerProvider" merge="replace">
    1) What folder do I modify to change the look of either tab? I tried changing the JSPTabContainer/tabs.jsp and nothing happens. Do I have to change the default/JSPTabContainerProvider/tabs.jsp file instead?
    2) There is also a banner line with "Sun One Portal Server" between the tabs, how do I get rid of this?
    I've spent hours scouring the files using trial and error to try and get rid of simple things like this and almost at the point to chuck the whole thing into the trash can. I could have created a portal using Tiles by now...

    I find it IMPOSSIBLE to believe that this is the
    recommended way to do things.I do not say it is the recommended way, I'm just telling this is a quick way I personally use to do it. Sorry if you do not find my script useful.
    Where or where is all of this directory creation and
    copying of files found in the documentation? I guess it is described in the Portal Server Desktop, look for "sesta" which is an example organization name use there.
    Where does it say that in order to make changes, you have
    to all of this?I do not say you have to do it, neither the documentation. That is just a recommendation I suggest to avoid messing with globally used files, and clearly isolating your work from what is provided with the product.
    Are we just supposed to find it all out via osmosis?I guess tha documentation and this developer's forum are a better option ...
    I am extremely frustrated with this product right now.Sorry about that.
    The display profile merging and the template directories form an extremely powerful tool, but with a learning curve longer that those found with simpler approaches.
    Once you got them though, you'll find they allow you to easily and elegantly cover a very wide range of needs that wouldn't be achievable otherwise.

  • Avoid marking files as modified by Git when there are no changes

    Hello,
    I am working on a project using Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate and Enterprise Architect 9.0 (a UML tool). I am using Git for Source Control in Visual Studio.
    I have set up the programs so that I can synchronize code from Enterprise Architect (EA) to Visual Studio (VS) and vice versa using MDG Link for Visual Studio (an Enterprise Architect add-in). I first synchronized all the existing code from VS to EA.
    Now I have the following workflow:
    Create UML models in EA;
    Add necessary attributes and operations to the class models;
    Synchronize models with the code, which will add the added attributes and operations to my source;
    The last step will regenerate all my source code files, but even if there are no changes Git marks the files as modified.
    How can I avoid this behaviour, because now all my files are modified when Enterprise Architect synchronizes the model with the source code.
    I only want Git to mark it as modified when there are actually things added or modified in the file.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Marcel

    Hi,
    I think it's more VS which detect the file was modified, and by default it mark the file as modified in Git.
    But normally when you want to commit your work these files are removed because Git detect the files are not really changed.
    Did you try to refresh the pending changes in the team explorer (F5). Perhaps Git recalculate all the differences, and then detect the real changes.

    Yan Grenier

  • Can you call a built-in labview VI using teststand directly? For "File last modified"...

    I am trying to use Teststand to retrieve the "last modified" timestamp property for the sequence file that is running. The purpose is to determine whether a modification has been made since the last time a sequence with the same file name was run. The "saved count" property is not a viable option since mulitple people may be working on the same sequence, and in theory two people could have started with the same sequence file, made a change, and then saved (making the saved count property the same even though they are now different sequences).
    So, unless someone knows of an easy way to do get this info (file last modified information) within Teststand, here's my question:
    LabVIEW has a built-in VI that provides this information (Programming Pallete->File IO->Advanced File Functions->File/Directory Info). This gives a "last mod" output which is exactly what I need. However, this is in Labview, not teststand where I prefer to call it and retrieve the information. I could easily just place this built-in VI into a new blank VI, and then call that with TestStand, but that seems very redundant. The built-in version is exactly what I need.
    Is there a way to call this VI directly from TestStand without having to put it into a blank VI and save it as a seperate file? I can't seem to locate it within any of the labview directories or libraries, but maybe I'm not searching for the right name. Is there an easy way to find a VI on the harddrive that is on one of the buit-in labview palletes ?
    This seems like such a simple thing but it's giving me a lot of grief!
    Thanks!

    That is one of the built-in functions and not a stand-alone VI and the best way to call it is to create a VI with it on the block diagram.

  • How can a class be notified when an open file is modified externaly ?

    Hi!
    Can a class that open a File be notified when that file is modified by another program ? If yes how ?
    Thanks!

    I don't know that any operating system provides facilities to hook into the filestore this way (whatever language you're programming in). Probably the best you can do is to check the last modified time periodically.

    Hi all,
    i´m preparing a linux 64bits environment to install Oracle 10g R2. I´m following the installation manual and there say that:
    Depending on the oracle user's default shell, make the following changes to the default shell startup file:
    For the Bourne, Bash, or Korn shell, add the following lines in the /etc/profile file (or the /etc/profile.local file on SUSE systems):
    if [ $USER = "oracle" ]; then
    if [ $SHELL = "/bin/ksh" ]; then
    ulimit -p 16384

    else
    ulimit -u 16384 -n 65536

    Can anybody help me ?
    Regards,

    The limits for -u and -n are defined in limits.conf, it looks like the -n section is not working (-u is already 16384), just to double check, show us the output for:
    $ more /etc/security/limits.conf | grep oracle
    oracle              soft    nproc   2047
    oracle              hard    nproc   16384
    oracle              soft    nofile  1024

    Every time I open a terminal (bash), it shows error " ulimit: open files: cannot modify limit: Invalid argument".    I googled it but did not find the solution that works.  My OS is 10.8.2.  I followed the instruction here http://wordpress.org/support/topic/upgraded-to-php-530-on-mac-now-no-database-co nnection but it doesn't work.(basically, I just commented some lines in that file).       Can anyone help?

    Back up all data.
    Select

    from the Terminal menu bar. Copy and paste the following line into the text box that opens:
    mkdir disabled_shell_files; mv .profile .bash* $_
    Your old shell initialization and history files will be saved in a directory with the indicated name at the top level of your home directory. Test.

  • How to show time as well as date in Finder for file Date Modified

    Completely mystified... Folder is only showing the mm/dd/yy modified for any file not modified Today (which then says Today and the time).
    Why on Earth would the Date AND TIME not show for all files? I can't seem to find any option to do this. Definitely want a way to:
    o make the change globally (not folder by folder)
    o and extra credit if i can get four digit years showing too.
    Complete mystery why this isn't the default view or maybe I did something inadvertantly to make things easier for people who don't want too much information. (?)

    Try this:
    Double click the Macintosh HD on the desktop > Cmd + J > Check the buttons you want concerning the date and time > press the button Use as default. Hopefully it will rub off on all the other folders too!

  • To know when a file get modified.

    HI,
    I have a requirement like this.
    There is a xml file which the user can modify at any time. My program which is running now should get a notification indicating that file has modified and my program will do corresponding updates. How java can support me to achieve this
    Thanks in advance
    bye

    NO it need not be an xml file. I could be text file
    also. What i prefer is , instead of polling every
    known interval, get a notification when a change
    happens. The flow can go like this(if impl exists)
    1) Create a File object.
    2) set the listener object for that
    3) get a notification when user changes that file.
    4) take action
    :-) this is not possible right??This is exactly what I am telling you to do, but something has to notice the change in the file. That is why you have a separate thread running in the background to monitor the file (it can check every second if you like it takes about 2 milliseconds to check the file). That thread then triggers whatever action you wish to take. As far as the trigger and the action are concerned, look at the Preferences class (as I mentioned) and its PreferenceListener.
    Without monitoring it yourself, how do you think you might get notified of a change? If you simply use the Preferences class as is, then you can get these notifications from the system, but you would no longer have control over where and how the things are stored. On windows it uses the registry, on unix I believe some .rc user file or something to that effect. In this case, your application would definately need to provide an interface for changing these values.

  • File exists/Modified file

    I was hoping someone could point me out in the right direction. I need to first test if the file exists and if it exists then test to see when it was last modified. If the file was modified within a certain time frame then that calls the function.
    if "file" exists
    if "file" was modified within timeframe
    then function

    java.io.File has the methods u are after!
