Patch upgradation from 9.2.0.6 to 9.2.0.8

Dear All,
Recently we have upgraded our database from 9.2.0.6 to 9.2.0.8. every thing went smooth.
After everything was over we have analyzed all the tables and indexes with sample size 5%.
Now we are facing performance issues with the optimizer. The optimizer for 9.2.0.8 is not picking the correct query execution plan and the query is running for long hours.
The problem is with the quries having the subqueries, and the subquery selects a date column.
we have picked some queries which are having subqueries and with out date column in the subqueries. Those queries are working fine but the problem is with the subqueries having the date column.
is there any thing that we have to do for the optimiser so that optimiser can pick the corect execution plan.

No. If the environment would be wrong the system wouldn´t start up.
Core dumps are in 99 % of the cases program errors (in the SAP kernel or in an interface (libdbora*)), misaligend accesses of data etc.
If you encounter such an error have a look in the C-Stack. If you can´t see where the error is happening opening an OSS call. Most of those errors are fixed by installing the latest patches for the kernel and the database interface.

Issue in upgrading from Fatwire 7.6 to web center sites 1.1.1.6

Patch upgrade from Fatwire 7.6 to Web Center sites 1.1.1.6 is failing while importing catalog elements. The database ping and csLogin test is successfully completed at 75 % of the installation. After that below mentioned exception is coming in logs which is causing installation failure. Please provide your valuable pointers to troubleshoot this issue.
Access to CATALOGDIRECTORY and ELEMENTDIRECTORY is verified. Both paths are correct with full access.

Can you try giving a link to one directory above wlserver_10.3 OR the complete path to wlserver_10.3 directory.

are the same as Patch 3731593 from Metalink.

So while this certainly isn't the most elegant of solutions, and most assuredly isn't in the realm of supported by Oracle...
I've used the DBMS_IJOB.DROP_USER_JOBS('username'); package to remove the 194558 orphaned job entries from the job$ table. Don't ask, I've no clue how they all got there; but I've prepared some evil looks to unleash upon certain developers tomorrow morning.
Not being able to reorganize the JOB$ table to free the now wasted ~67MB of space I've opted to create a new index on the JOB$ table to sidestep the full table scan.
CREATE INDEX SYS.JOB_F1_THIS_NEXT ON SYS.JOB$ (FIELD1, THIS_DATE, NEXT_DATE) TABLESPACE SYSTEM;The next option would be to try to find a way to grant the select privilege to the role without using the aforementioned "after CREATE on schema" trigger and dbms_job call. This method was adopted to cover situations in which a developer manually added a table directly to the database rather than using the provided scripts to recreate their test environment.
I assume that the following quote from the 11gR2 documentation is mistaken, and there is no such beast as "create or replace table" in 11g:

Problem after upgrade from patch level 36 to 43

Hi,
Recently our system is upgraded from 36 to 43 patch level. After this there are problem in doing hiring action, IT0000 is saving but the next infotype IT0001 does not gets saved and also no error message. So, really not able to figure out what could be the problem.
I was debugging the standard code i.e once the 'save' button is clicked in IT0001 in PA40, but in vain. I am not able to find out where or in which program/include the data gets saved in PA0001. If any one aware of this please let me know.
Since IT0001 is not getting saved, there are probs with IT0007 and IT0008.
Please let me know your views.

Upgrade from ACS 5.4 patch 6 to ACS 5.5 patch 4 advice

Hi,
I have a pair of ACS 5.4 patch 6 running on VMWare as primary/secondary with Active Directory integration
working without any issues.
I would like to upgrade them to ACS 5.5 patch 4. Here is my plan:
1- De-register the Secondary ACS 5.4 patch 6
2- shutdow the de-register Secondary ACS 5.4 patch 6
2- Take a backup of the Stand-alone Primary ACS 5.4 patch 6
3- shutdown the Primary ACS 5.4 patch 6,
4- build a brand new ACS 5.5 with the same name and IP address as the previous Primary ACS 5.4 patch 6
5- patch the ACS 5.5 with patch 4,
6- perform a restore of the old ACS 5.4 patch 6 backup on the Primary ACS 5.5 patch 4,
7- Re-join the ACS 5.5 patch 4 with Active Directory,
8- build a brand new ACS 5.5 to be with the same name and IP address as the previous Secondary ACS 5.4 patch 6
9- patch the new Secondary ACS 5.5 to be with patch 4,
10- join the new Secondary ACS 5.5 patch 4 with Active Directory,
11- join the new ACS 5.5 patch 4 in step 4 as the Secondary ACS,
12- validate
Anyone see any issues with this? I used the same steps when I upgrade from ACS 5.2 patch 3 to ACS 5.4 patch 6

Thank you for confirming this. I've had horrible experiences with in-place upgrade many times so I just do not trust the in-place upgrade.
I went back and look at my note and I think this will work, assume prod-acs1 is the Primary and prod-acs2 is the Secondary ACS:
a- de-register the prod-acs2
b- take a backup of prod-acs1
c- rebuild the prod-acs2 with the same hostname and IP address of the old prod-acs2 for ACS 5.5 patch 4
d- do a restore on prod-acs2 with the backup in step b,
e- re-register prod-acs2 with Active Directory. Now I have two instances of prod-acs1 and prod-acs2 with different databases but it still works because network devices on the don't know that.
f- validate that prod-acs2 is working properly by shutting down prod-acs1
h- Once prod-acs2 is working properly, rebuild prod-acs1,
i- re-register prod-acs1 with Active Directory,
j- join prod-acs1 as Secondary ACS to prod-acs2,
k- validate that proc-acs1 is working properly by shutting down prod-acs2,
l- now make prod-acs1 Primary and prod-acs2 Secondary,
I just want to make sure that I can "restore" ACS backup from 5.4 patch 6 to ACS 5.5 patch 4 without any issues.

We have upgraded from PDK 1.0 patch 3 to PDK 2.0.
Since the upgrade we have problems with the DropDownByKey control. It seems that the value of the SelectedKey property of the control is not behaving the same way it has before the upgrade and we are getting the following error when trying to convert the value of the property into int:
"FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format"
The iView works fine in the previous version of PDK.
Is somthing changed regarding the DropDownByKey control?
