Payment terms - How to default it to a display only field

Hi gurus,
In my requirement i need to default payment terms field (VBKD-ZTERM) in standard transaction VA01 and VA03 to a display only field. That means users from some countries will not be able to change Payment terms.
How can I do it?

Yes..you can disable the field for input..
ex..
FORM USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION.
IF SCREEN-NAME = 'VBKD-ZTERM'.
SCREEN-INPUT = 0. " Disable for input.
ENDIF.

Goto VD02 and open the customer master record. In the Billing tab - payment terms field, give the payment terms value and save the changes. Now if you create a sales order for this customer, the payment terms will be defaulted automatically.

How do I get email to display only my last 50 or 100 emails?

I think I figured it out. I downloaded all the email in my wife's hotmail account(500) to the iphone and then deleted 350 of the emails on the iphone. then I set the iphone to look for the 200 most recent messages. When I did this the iphone updates all the new emails and the old ones that I deleted on the iphone are still in hotmail.

How to configure the iTunes,to display only folder name as Album under Music.
I have a folder with name "English" under this I have plenty of folders which are either movie names or custom names created by me,inside of these are the music files. I just want all the files to be copied to the iPod with out any album artwork(which the itunes display under "Album By Artist" contains).The "Album By Artist" doesnt seem to contain just the folder name,it gets something else like the website from where the music file downloaded. This makes me irritating to browse through iPod or iTunes.
Please help me in configuring,so that I can just see the same folder/music hierarchy I see in my windows machine in the iPod.

Yep, I agree with Jurjen. It is not only limited to ACTVT, but rather fields of other objects as well which are "action" or "activity" related.
I would start the other way around - give them '03' only and investigate any transaction specific claims that it is not enough. There will be a few...

Payment terms to be defaulted in PO

Hi SAP Gurus,
I am working with SAP 4.6c version. I maintained the Payment terms in Vendor master record.While creating a PO against this Vendor system is not picking the payment terms from the vendor master.
But in 4.7E and higher version it is picking from the Vendor master record wile create a PO.
Is there any std. notes available in SAP to meet the Requirements.
Is there any config setting needs to be done for automaticaly pick the payment terms.

Have you Maintained Vendor Payment terms in Vendor Master Payment Transactions Accounting Data.
Please Go thru the below words once.
Data can be entered in the field for the terms of payment key in various ways as you enter a business transaction:
In most business transactions, the system defaults the key specified in the master record of the customer/vendor in question.
In some transactions (for example, credit memos), however, the system does not default the key from the master record.
Despite this, you can use the key from the customer/vendor master record by entering "*" in the field.
Regardless of whether or not a key is defaulted from the master record, you can manually enter a key during document entry at:
item level in sales orders
header level in purchase orders and invoices
Note :
Master records have separate areas for Financial Accounting, Sales, and Purchasing. You can specify different terms of payment keys in each of these areas. When you then enter a business transaction, the application in question will use the key specified in its area of the master record

How to set one layout to display only?

I want to display only one layout. The scenario is: when the user input some data in a layout and click on one 'input finish' function button which means that the user has finished input data in that layout, then the system will set that layout to display only. I don't want to use the variable with comparion column because that will also cause all the layout to display only. What I want to do is just set only one layout to display only. Anyone know how to do?

How to control the authorization as display only in ECC system?

Hi all,
I want to control the IT users' authorization as display only for each Authorization Object.
As i know, there are 177 Item of field "ACTVT" in ECC system, But i'm not ture which the value can limited the authoirzation as display only.
Im worry about IT users have not authorization for the work if just keep "03-display" in authorization object, I plan to remove below value of ACTVT:
01-create, 02-change, 05-Lock,06-Delete,07-Activate, generate
But i'm not sure whether should be removed for below values:
52-Change application start
60-Import
61-Export
62-Create automatic Ledger
63-Activate
64-Generate
70-Administer
75-Remove
C3-Maintenance of manual auth.
C4-Develope Payment Card
FP-Change customer field selectn

How to default a value in the tablecontrol field?

i have created a maintenance view for a z table and this table has a currency field. So when i go to SM30 to maintain the z table i want that when the user clicks on NEW ENTRIES button the system should automatically default the currency field to 'GBP'.
Any idea where to set the default value on a field in the table control or in the maintenance view.

Currently in our system it is tied into a tab named SAP Administration and has the capability of doing more than read. How do you create a read version of this to only display the application monitoring in read mode? We currently have an SRP role that has the followiing auths below. How can I get iPhoto to display ONLY file numbers of pictures and not document titles when displayed as thumbnails?

I am a pro photographer and I've never used iPhoto. I use a combination of Adobe's Bridge, Lightroom & Photoshop programmes. I've sent a disk of images to a client and they cannot see the file numbers of the images. Their version of iPhoto only displays the document title that I have embedded in the metadata when importing the images into Bridge.
When I ran a test and imported the same images into my version of iPhoto(7.1.5, since you ask) some of the thumbnails displayed the file number while others displayed the document title. Why does this happen? Can I make it stop? How do I make iPhoto display just the file number in thumbnail mode and not the document title?
When I view the images in Bridge, all I see is the file number but I can't convince the client to use the programme even though they have it. Any help/guidance will be very gratefuly received.

In every version prior to iPhoto 11:
Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File...
In iPhoto 11:
Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original...

How do I get Hotmail to display only the 50 most recent emails

My wife has an iphone and hotmail email. I upgraded to the premium hotmail and now have POP3 and it all works great. the issue I have is that she has 500 emails in her hotmail account and the iphone displays the first 50 not the most recent 50. How do I get this to happen? An help would be appreciated.

Trip/ PR05 -how to mark 'Per Diem' Tab display only by EE Subgroup

In a Trip , how can I mark 'Per Diem' table as diaplay-only depends on Employee subgroup.
e.g., Managers won't be able to enter anything in this Tab, while Clerks can check-on / check-off meals for a day.

It would be done by your basis team.
Please make a two roles let suppose X for managers, Y for Clerks
Please restrict read only access (AUTHF) on employee sub group (PERSK) by using authorization object (P_TRAVL) and (F_TRAVL) (X for managers) ..
and restrict write / read only access (AUTHF) on employee sub group (PERSK) by using authorization object (P_TRAVL) and (F_TRAVL) (Y for Clerks) ..
Then assign these roles to the relement person..

How do I achieve this. I tried to create a dummy field and inserted <p> </p>
but it is not interpreting the value as html tag and displays the values on the screen.

You have two "Display as Text" items, side by side on a page and you want to push the second one further to the right?
If so, you can add &nbsp; in front of the label text.
Your dummy item may have been showing the &nbsp; values if you have selected "Display as Text (escape special characters, does not save state)" for the item type?

How do you keep display only fields from being inserted into tables?

Morning I have a problem where I am displaying a couple fields on a screen and they are tring to insert in to a table.
I am running Apex 4.1 on 11Gr2, i am building a set of screens, on the first one the user inputs a subject ID, that branchs to a second screen that uses the subject id to do a lookup for a couple fields for display. there are a couple field the user feels in and a row is inserted in to a differnet table. But Apex is tring to insert the lookup fields in to the second table when I really only need the subject ID.
How can I tell Apex which fields to use in the insert and which not to try to uses. I see in the debug it is getting all the screen fields in the inserty statement.

In the insert process, take the cols out which you don't want to insert, say,
insert into tbl (col1, col2, ....) value (p1, p2, ...)
=>
insert into tbl (col1, col5, ....) values (p1, p5, ...)
