Pblm with If condition... to validate tables

please see the below code
DatabaseMetaData myMT = con.getMetaData();
String[] myTables = {"TABLE"};
ResultSet tables = myMT.getTables(null,null, "%", myTables);
String tableName = null;
while (tables.next())
tableName = tables.getString("TABLE_NAME");
System.out.println(tableName);
the above code will show all the tables those r existed at database
this is working fine.
but the pblm is..
when i am trying to validate a specific table using if condition..like this.
if (tableName.equals("hd"))
System.out.println("Tables Existed");
else
System.out.println("Tables Not Existed");
admin table existed at database.
but always it is saying "Table not existed."
what is the wrong in this if condition

this must work if u r validating table name
immediately after getting table name.
i.e--------------------------------------
while (tables.next())
tableName = tables.getString("TABLE_NAME");

System.out.println("Tables Not Existed");
if u r doing this validation outside of while{} then
it wont work as tableName will contain the last table

    Lets say, out of 4 records (duplicate with DEPTID 200), 2 records have DEPTNAME and 2 records have DEPTNAME NULL, keep any one records which have DEPTNAME and remove remaining 3 records.

    Lets say, all 5 records (duplicate with DEPTID 200), have DEPTNAME NULL. Keep only 1 record and delete remaining duplicate.

  • Table Rows with Multiple Conditions Not Showing Up in RH

    Hi everyone,
    I'm currently evaluating TCS2 (Framemaker 9 and RoboHelp 8 on Windows XP) and have come across the following issue:
    One of our FrameMaker source files contains a table in which one of the rows has multiple conditions applied. When one of the conditions is shown in Framemaker, and the others are hidden, the row is displayed in Framemaker as expected. However, when the file is then imported or linked into Robohelp, the same table row vanishes, even though the Apply FrameMaker Conditional Text Build Expression check box is selected in the Framemaker Conversion Settings > Other Settings screen. This only appears to affect table rows - when paragraph text is tagged with the same conditions, it is imported correctly into RoboHelp.
    For example, when Condition B is shown and Condition A is hidden in the Framemaker file, the content appears like this in Frame:

    It just seems that the items I select as align to top in the
    property inspector should force the items to the top of their
    cells, unless I'm missing something.

  • Conversion with Conditional Text in Table

    I'm taking the first steps in converting Unstructured Frame to Structure. One document is pretty clean except for one issue: my structure breaks around conditional text in tables. (The tables have a f3ew issues oftheir own, but the conditional text seems to compound the problem) I'm not sure how this should be dealt with. The structure tags are shown in the view below.
    And here is the Structure View:
    Is this something that can be set up with a qualifier, and if so, How? Also, in the conversion map table, Is there any order dependency, as well, concerning where the Conditional Text element appears?

    As far as I am concerned I do not see anything unexpected. You get dotted lines in the Structure View apparently because the element <B1_Body1> seems not to be allowed in the Element <CELL>. It looks like you worked with the defaults of the Conversion Table. Have you created your own EDD and imported the Element Definitions? Is <B1_Body1> a legal element inside <CELL>?
    From my experience the Conditional Text feature works very much in parallel to the element structure. It comes from the format-based world and the structure has no means to handle text conditions. If you want to work with text conditions in the future, you would use »attribute-based condition management« as made possible through the plug-in AXCM or FrameMaker’s built-in feature »Filter by attribute«. There is no built-in method to change text conditions into certain attribute values – but it is possible to automate this move via the FDK or FrameScript or ExtendScript (from FM10).

       I have an internal table IN_TAB and I want to read a record of the table with dynamic condition as below.

    b) Requirement: there are four condtions, and reading data from IN_TAB (not use loop) based on these conditions. If one condition is empty, it'll be ommited.

      Thanks for your solution, It solved my problem. I also suggest the another way to obtain this.
    - The internal table have to declare with header line, note that the internal table mustn't has x type in the structure.
    - Assign all conditions into header line wether condtion is empty or not.
    - Use statement READ TABLE IN_TAB.
    Ex:
       DATA: BEGIN OF RT OCCURS 0,
            MATNR(18) TYPE C,
            ERNAM(12) TYPE C,
            BISMT(18) TYPE C,
            LAEDA TYPE MARA-LAEDA,
          END OF RT .
    SELECT

  • Problem with Guard Condition (Fields Disabling)

    Hi All
    I have a screen where I am creating a notification... so I enter all my fields and data as below:
    If ALL fields are filled out then the call to my RFC will create the notification and pass back a notification number (EX_QMNUM)
    I then pass back EX_QMNUM to the input of my READ_S1 RFC. Since we have a custom table attached I thought it was best to retrieve the latest data from the database after point of save.
    However if they don't fill in the necessary criteria then I pop up an error (EG. Please fill in customer number). I put a GUARD CONDITION on the call back to the READ_S1 RFC. The guard seems to work as my breakpoint/RFC does not get hit... however it then CLEARS my fields and DISABLES everything. This is what it looks like after the save (with guard condition in place). This means I lose all my data and no save occurs.
    What am I doing wrong here? Is this a bug with the guard condition?
    Guard Condition (which seems to be working apart from the fact it disables my RGA fields)
    I'm not completely sure about IF conditions so let me know if this is wrong?

    Thanks for the input, I have tried this now.
    1. In the case the guard evaluates to "false", I experience the fields being blank, but not grayed out. So the user is able to refill the input and submit. This means something else in your model causes the "grayed out" behavior.
    2. In general, in case you know the conditions to valid input in the client side, you could model this way:
    Valid input => the data services run. example guard to service: =ISNULL(@customer)==false
    Invalid input => the popup shows. example guard to popup: =ISNULL(in1@customer)==true
    3. Is it possible in your case to validate the input before running the first query? This will enable to use the Validation feature as in Input Validation. If possible it's the best way in terms of user experience, in my opinion.

    it is possible to write something approaching an if..then..else statement in SQL with 'generalized' conditions in the if statement.
    Attached is the query for the payment register, in which I've written a series of decode statements, one for each possible value of the payment code. The query works OK - however, its specific and as the number of paycodes expand (and they do), the report won't pick up the new paycode until the code is changed. More importantly, the report won't be correct until someone 'discovers' that a paycode is missing, which might take months.
    If I were writing the equivalent of this series of decode statements in Focus, it would be something like this:

    As you can see, this is both much easier to write and covers the possibility of expansion of paycodes (expansions always fit in these defined ranges).
    My question is, then, is it possible to write something like this in SQL and, if so, could you give me some sample code? (I'm one of those people who learn best from looking at the code as opposed to a set of instructions)

    The idea is to group all the payment codes into a few groups to reduce the clutter. If there is ever a change to the payment code, you could modify the table and it will be reflected in your select query.

    I am using obiee 11g.
    There are 2 tables tableA and tableB where the join condition is like (tableA.col1=tableB.col1) or (tableA.col1 is null and tableB.col1 is null)
    where should i do these type of joins.
    I tried putting in physcial layer->f(x) but giving error like here only columns an d opertaors are allowed.

    ok here it goes.
    I have a tableA with columns col1(pk),col2 and other columns
    I have tableB with columns col1(pk),col2..Only these 2 columns.
    Now distinct tableA.col2 values are put in tableB.col2. For those distinct values i have put the tableB.col1 values.
    Now tableA.col2 as well as tableB.col2 can be null beacuse there may be null values in tableA.col2.
    Now in tableB i have added one more row which has col1 as value and col2 as null.
    Now when in physical layer when i do tableA.col2=tableB.col2 i dont get the null values.
    What i want is whenever the tableA.col2 and tableB.col2 is null then take tableB.col1 for those vales.
    So when i query i do
    select * from tableA,tableB where
    ((tableA.col2=tableB.col2) or (tableA.col2 is null and tableB.col2 is null))
    What i want is when i do a join i should be able to give this OR condition in rpd thats it.
    because when i do in where clause of content tab it goes like a AND condition and not OR.

    Actually user want to take the sample print out  ( Hard copy ) of the delivery note and other documents for reference, even the message type processed, not processed and even ended with errors also
    I have written a program to display the delivery document numbers  with check boxses and added one button in application tool bar.
    onece user executed the program, he will able to see all the delivery or sales numbers with checkboxes.
    now requirement is, users will select check box and click on the print button it should fire printouts in local printer of user location.
    for this what we are planning is we want to maintian the entries in NAST by RV_MESSAGE_* function modules and printing the output immedaietly
    If any one worked on this kind of requirement, please suggest step by step, how we can print the documents with directly maitaining the message types with out condition records

    Generally if we create any document ( sales or delivery ), based on the condition record message type will be created and with message type details print will be triggered when the medium is 1, date time 4
    But in my case i want to take the printout irrespective of the message and condition records
    i want to take printout even if the message processed,not processed and ended with error.
    is there any way to take the print of the documents by using function modules or updation of NAST table.

    I need your expert opinion on how to create a map with multiple conditions.
    I have a procedure (which i cannot import or re-create in OWB due to the bug), so i am trying to create a map instead :-(
    How can i create a cursors within the map?
    My function creates table and cursor.
    Then it will have to check for duplicates in the tables (the one created and another table) - the criteria for finding duplicates is a number of fields.I then need to place few different conditions (if some attributes are not available) and it has to load cursor based on this conditions. The next step is to fetch the data into the cursor based on what attributes are missing.
    The next thing it will do is insert the data into table (if record doesn't exist), output the error in separate table is record is corrupted, or update the record with changed information.
    In short i need to re-create match / merge but with conditions, iterations etc 'built into' it.
    I can read up on available functions - it's just what would be the best options? and what would be the best approach to do so?
    In my function i use %rowtype - but cannot use it in owb - so what would be the alternative? i don't really want to create a lot of variables and then have a nightmare of maintaing it. are there any tips regarding this?
    having looked through Oracle dedupe - it's not really what i need because it is just DISTINCT.
    I would appreciate any help / advise on this.

  • How to create a service product with a condition record?

    I'm quite new to CRM programming and I now need to create a service product with a condition record. For creating the product I use function COM_PROD_SERVICE_MAINTAIN_API and it creates a product propperly. The function offers parameter IT_CONDITIONS for creating conditions. But when you have a look at type COM_PRODUCT_CND_API_TAB of the parameter, then you will find a deeep tabletype with lots(!) of additional tables. In the conditions tab of the product I simply enter a Condition Type, a Sales Organization, a Distribution Channel, an Amount, a Currency and a Unit and everything is fine after saving.
    Can anyone of you help me in how to set up parameter IT_CONDITIONS to get the above values into the product?

  • Function Module for creating condition record (XKOMV table record)

    I have a requirement as like below,
    In the repair order i need to sum the GRWR condition type's  conditional values for all the line items (Except deliverable line item) and then i need to create an condition type GRWR under the deliverable line item with the above calculated conditional values,
    the table XKOMV will be having details about all the line item's condition types, in this table i need to add one more new record with the condition type of GRWR and the above calculated conditional values under the deliverable line item.
    for the above logic i am using the user exit
    USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE
    All the above things need to be done when the user click the save button in the transaction (VA01/VA02).
    Problem here is table XKOMV contains somany fields so manually we can't create xkomv record, is there any Function module to create condition type record?

    To create your check table:
    Begin at the Dictionary: Initial Screen.
    Type the table name in the Object Name field.
    Choose the Tables radio button.
    Press the Create button. The Dictionary: Table/Structure: Change Fields screen is displayed.
    Type a short text, choose delivery class A, and tickmark Tab. Maint. Allowed.
    Type the field and data element names at the bottom of the screen.
    Tickmark both fields to indicate that they both form the primary key
    Press the Save button on the Standard toolbar. The Create Object Catalog Entry screen appears.
    Press the Local Object button. You are returned to the Dictionary: Table/Structure: Change Fields screen
    Press the Technical Settings button on the Application toolbar. The ABAP/4 Dictionary: Maintain Technical Settings screen is displayed.
    In the Data Class field, enter APPL0 (APPL0 with a zero, not APPLO with an alphabetic O).
    Enter 0 (zero) in the Size Category field.
    Press the Save button.
    Press the Back button. You are returned to the Dictionary: Table/Structure: Change Fields screen.

While creating import PO, the PBXX condition automatically obtain the "exchange rate" with Old "condition price date" despite the Table "TCURR" has maintained updated data. Why system behavior is like this?
    As per our requirement, system should obtain the data based on PO date. Kindly help with your experiences.

    Hi Biswajit,
    Use the user parameter EVO to indicate that no price adoption from last Purchase Order must take place:
    IMG: MM -> Purchasing -> Environment data -> Default values for Buyers -> Setting for Default values.
    Select or setup a default value and on the "price adoption" tab you may choose how copying of conditions from last purchase order must behave. Select "Do not copy". Then assign this default value to the user, using the EVO parameter.
