PC needs router to renew IP

I would appreciate any help concerning this problem: I had a PC connected directly to the internet, my IP is dynamic, everything was ok. Now I have a router connected to the internet and the PC and a VoIP phone connected to the router. The router is set to have a dynamic IP, the phone is working quite correctly (well, there are some issues with delayed SIP registrations, but I hope that's another thing).
The problem is anytime the whole system is cut from the energy and then after some time restarted, the PC cannot connect to the internet although the phone can. The PC can connect just to machines inside LAN, so I can connect to the router and the phone. Everytime I have to go to the router's administration, release the IP address and renew it (force the router to obtain a new address), after this the PC can connect to the internet. The interesting thing is nothing changes by this action: WAN IP remains the same, LAN IP is always the same, same goes for DNSs. The problem holds disregarding if I use network or network-manager (with a dynamic or static IP).

So I've tried. The failure state behaves like this:

After I obtained new network parameters for the router and thus made the internet connection working, I got to this state:

So it's weird - except the output for route, nothing changes but internet is made accessible. It is probably a DNS problem, because I've found that the phone can't access domains neither (can't register SIP services until the router's IP is "refreshed").

I've had my Macbook for about 11 months now and i use it every day; its gone though about 420 cycles of charging and using the power, and i noticed the battrey preformance has decreased (as expected). The problem isn't sevear yet but it would comfort me knowing that i could replace the battery in the near future

No only if they think under warranty/AppleCare, but your likely able to pay for a new battery if they have them, which they might not yet since it's such a new machine still.
BTW, I have a Early 2011 17" MBP, 27 months old, charges to 97% and has only 14 cycles.

Basically it is on the day your contract ends. However some Verizon wireless corporate store managers can over ride that and update possibly a week early. But its iffy.
Now Verizon will let you upgrade to the Edge program but you have a broken device and they will prey on you since you are desperate for a device. Edge plan is paying full price over 20 months and paying taxes on it up front, you then after paying 60% of the device off can edge up to another device. Now if you pay 60% off at anytime after 30 days you can continue to trade them in for new as much as you want.
Or you can wait it out get a new free device under contract or reduced cost device again under a 2 year contract.
The edge plan is no contract.

Store account says account needs to be renewed, but I canot renew!

I logged into my Windows Store Dev Center account, and on my Dashboard there was a notice on 11/17/2014 that my account was going to expire, followed by on on 12/17/2014 that my account has expired and that I should renew.
However, when I click on renew (https://appdev.microsoft.com/StorePortals/en-US/Account/Profile/ViewSubscription), it takes me to a page where it says, "Developer accounts don’t expire. You won't need to renew your account in order to keep your apps in
the Store." In case it matters, I have not published a windows store app yet.
There's a link to a contact us page which allows me to fill in a form, but then when I click submit I get an error saying the page cannot be found or some such, so I am posting here to see if someone can help me sort this out.
BTW, my Windows Phone Store account is active and doesn't have a similar problem. And again if it matters, I have published windows phone apps.
[Update] Since there is no reply here, I attempted again (after 2 days) to submit a query by email from from the Dev Center Support page and today I did not receive an error. Now that the support request is in, I hope to have
this resolved soon.

After opening a support ticket, I got a quick response which confirmed that I do not need to renew my account, and that the issue would be cleared up. When I logged in today to check my account the expiration messages are gone, so it looks like I'm

Need router that works with G4 tower and macbook pro G5

I work with a group of people and we share our computers when we work on a project. We use my G4 Quicksilver, currently hooked up to a D-Link router DI-524, rev. C. One of our group's laptop died and got a MacBook Pro with Leopard and installed Adobe CS3 (we are using CS2). Problem is the MAcBook Pro keeps losing it's connection, damaging files in Adobe. The router is not listed as compatible with the MacBook pro (same model, rev A is however) so I guess that is part of our problem. I am confused by the variety of products and want to make sure the local network we use functions better. I almost went for the Apple Extreme until I read about possibly needing an enabler. By the way, I am also having trouble with printer sharing, don't know if it is router related as I can most of the time get on line on the Pro and share files - its just that it cuts out unpredictably and causes trauma in the work flow. It sounds like you have at least two problems: reliable wifi connection and version control. The second one I can just say that when I was an engineer we had a separate software application that allowed collaborative work to be done on a project. It is quite complicated, but only one file could be opened and saved so that a person could do their thing on the file and then save it back to document central. The software would keep track of everything and make sure things were saved properly, etc. If disaster struck, you could still revert to the last version and not have to start over.
The unreliable connection is a fairly common problem. My wife's MacBook Pro is at the other end of the house. The path loss between her machine and the router is significant. Because the Pro has a built in antenna, it's not the best in the world for reception or transmission. I ended up putting a USB WIFI stick on her Mac. I also put it on the end of a USB cable so that I could hoist and move the stick around to get best performance. I'm not aware of any compatibility issues between Macs and routers, but my router is a plain Jane DLink 514 and my iMac, G4, PowerBook Pro, and my Windoz machine running Ubuntu on it are all happy. BTW, I also had to put a USB WiFi stick on the Windoz machine and with the constant internet updates I need for Ubuntu, the connection only occasionally is messed up.

OK, all my friends and experts,
I'm moving to my new apartment today. I was there yesterday to have cable/Internet/phone installed and my ancient Linksys WRT160N simply would not connect to the Internet. I tried everything (and I'm pretty good with routers set ups).
So I need to order a new router from Amazon today so that I can have it delivered Monday (I'll just go the weekend without wifi). I need recommendations for a good router with good wifi, good security, etc.
Any and all suggestions entertained - if you can please supply links to Amazon.

As per our conversation earlier - regarding TP-Link Routers....
Here are a couple of them selling at Fry's.....Not sure if there is one close to you....I've used a couple of them here in Canada and plug it in and works with no issues....Should perform like your old Linksys....
As mentioned - I still have my old Linksys WRT54G that i purchased back in 04 or 05 and works with no issues...

Ipod Touch needs router to be reset daily to get internet

I need to reset the router each day to get internet service for my ipod touch???? My laptop never needs the router to reset.

In our office we a couple of Web servers and 10 normal staff PCs.
Currently we have old/slow DSL/Megapath service.    The old Netopia Router does everything, a) DSL gateway, b) firewall that we config'ed, c) NAT (we use 192.168.1.n inside).   One cat5 to a 16port 1gb D-link switch, then to PCs . Been working fine, haven't really messed with it in a few years.
Since I'm a newbie to VZ FiOS. I have some basic setup Q&A for us. I'm assuming that I should not use the VZ Modem for most of the stuff the old Netopia is doing.     So I assume I should put a new wired ROUTER downsteam from VZ Modem.
Q2:   Can you recommend any particular Router?     Any general how-to guidelines would be appreciated !

FIOS does not use modems. You will be getting an Actiontec MI-424WR router.

No need. The VZ supplied router should do everything you need.
I noticed you said you were getting 13 static IPs. The Actiontec will only map 5 external static IPs to internal IPs (static NAT).
If you truly have 13 machines exposed to the internet, you will need a 16 port switch connected to the VZ ONT, then each machince with a public IP connected to that switch. I doubt the Netopia could keep up with the FIOS 35/35 speeds.

I have gathered data for Shipment Number, Date on which it is created, Route from table VTTK(Shipment Header) but i am not able to fectch data for Dep. Zone and Dest. Zone..
Could you please guide if ther any table in SAP which will provide Route Information present in the system.

The departure zone and destination zone details will come from the shipment item stage level. Therefore you have
check the VTTS table. If there are multiple stages then you will have different departure and destination zones.
stages is based on the route definition

Need router suggestions for G4 MDD

Wi-Fi availability is very sparse in my neighborhood, so using an iPhone at home can be challenging. I thought that by purchasing a router I could improve my situation. I would also like to control my iTunes library on the G4 through my iPhone.
The G4 is running 10.4.11 and connects to the Internet via cable modem. The G4 doesn't have an Airport card.
I would very much appreciate any router suggestions or other pertinent advice.

I've installed a number of routers on Mac system and they don;t have to be "Mac-compatible." I set up a network for my daughter with teh cheapest wireless "n" wireless router I could find at Fry's electronics, a TrendNet I think--about US$35 on sale. Her computer is a Mac Mini running 10.5.8 but mu old PowerBook running 10.4 connects without issue.
The easiest thing may be to ask your ISP if they have a wireless router/modem combo unit. That's what our ISP gave us. Might be a monthly upcharge if you are renting the modem but it's likely not much. Ours has wired ports as well
If you go for a separate wireless router: Typically a wireless router will also have regular wired ports. Connect the new router between the modem and the computer with Ethernet cable. The router's instruction will have a set-up section. There they will give you an IP address for your router. Type that address into any browser and you can set the options: power level; channel on some models; set a name for the Routers, and set a password (you want to protect your network with a password so people don't snipe your service or snoop).
Once so set, you can see the wireless network you've created from your phone or computer if the computer has a wireless card. If it doesn't have a card simply leave the Ethernet wired connection from the router to the computer--it will nicely co-exist with the phone.
We have three Macs and two network printers wired to our network, plus two Mac Notebooks connecting via wireless. I still have a spare wired port or two left over for when I'm servicing someone else's computer lacking a wireless card.
It probably took longer for me to type this that is would to set up a router.

I just recieved this router and there are no instructions at all! I have a home computer and a laptop. I don't even know where to plug the router into or anything! The phone line is on the opposite side of the room of my home computer, do I have to plug it into that computer? I'm so confused and not very smart when it comes to all this! Not necessarily. If you had a really long ethernet cable, you could locate the router near the phone jack, and run the ethernet cable across the room to plug into the router. Or, if you have wireless on your PC, you could set up a wireless connection to the router instead of running a long ethernet cable.
Your PC talks to the router. The router talks over the phone line to a modem at Verizon's switching office. That modem talks to the Verizon internet gateway. That gateway talks to the internet. Does this make sense?

How long do I need router disconnected to free the wan lease?

Some VZ router setting changed within the last week which broke my wifi connectivity. I stupidly allowed VZ chat to talk me into resetting the router to factory defaults which admittedly fixed the wifi issue but broke many other things. I could correct the other things if I could get the VZ router connected to get a new IP address however I've discovered that the Negear WNDR3700 router that is currently connected to the ONT as the gateway apparently does not provide any means of releasing the WAN IP so I am forced into disconnecting the router from the ONT until the lease is released.
Alternatively can I request VZ chat to have the lease released?

I have created a mvc application where i have addedd my deafult page in the application which is not in view foler.Now i want to make that as start up page .I can make that in visula studio but when i publish that in iis it doesnt work.It goes to
