PC Suite menu/appearance probelm
Hi...
I'm having some problems with PC Suite and would appreciate some advice or suggestions please.
System Info:
Vista Ultimate x32 with SP1 and all latest updates
PC Suite v7.1.18.0
Cable connection
Here's the problem. Sometimes when I open PC Suite for the first time after booting up, the menu bar text options (File/Web/Settings/Help) and their context menu text is missing. The only way I can restore them is by shutting down PC Suite and restarting it which is a bit of a pain.

Also, PC Suite has also been crashing occasionally and each time it happens, the event log entry identifies QtGUI4.dll as the cause.
I have tried uninstall then reinstalling...that works fine until I reboot. I have also tried the clean installation option using PC Suite clean tools but the same still happens now and then.

Problem solved
It was being caused by a program which was set to clear out the Windows temp folders on boot...it was interfering with files created by PC Suite when it was launching. Since disabling that feature, the problem hasn't occured plus I've created some batch files to deal with the temp files and they kick into action sooner than PC Suite initiating.

Fireworks Menu Appearing Behind Content
Hi All
I have an existing website built in Macromedia Studio 8. I would like to upgrade to Web Premium CS5.5. As a result, I am currently using a trial version which has helped me to redesign the whole website. I am not proficient in code writing and have a basis understanding of the software. (That is why I am testing the trial version first). However, I an faced with TWO problems.
The first is, although my templates were built using one of Adobe's page layout formats (then customised), some of the pages are no longer centred.
The second is, I have created menu's in both Fireworks (Studio 8 then edited in Fireworks CS5.1 creative suite master collection and saved) and Spry (in Dreamweaver CS5.5) - which have now caused the menus to appear behind content on some of the pages.
I have tried to use the pages which look fine in the browser as templates but, sadly, when the content is changed/added to, the menu appears behind again.
I would appreciate any help.

Try to print a webpage or selection therefrom.
When 'file'- 'print' selected on Mozilla tabs, it does not work. The print menu appears but when 'print' clicked, the 'save as' menu box appears. Is there a tutorial on how to make a long press menu appear on a table item with storyboard?
Hi there!
I'm very new to app development and i've been playing around with designing a few. I wanted to know, how can you create a long press menu appear when pressing and holding on a table item. Id like it to pull up a menu with 3 options, each leading to its own view depending on what one is selected.
Is there a decent tutorial out there for a beginner? I'm using the newest xCode with storyboard and all the tutorials i found are for older xCode versions.Greg,

IPhoto freezing on print command before print menu appears
Has anyone encountered iPhoto freezing when selecting "print" from the file menu, before the actual print menu appears? I'm not using huge files here -- 600 KB photo, for example -- but I get the spinning beach ball of death every time I try to print a photo.
I have 3000 photos in my library, use Panther, have a five-year-old ibook with a 10 g hard drive so I house my library on an external hard drive.
Sound like a preferences file problem, for example? Any advice anyone can offer would help immensely.

Do try cleaning out the cache files with OnyX. Also I'd run the 10.3.9 COMBO updater followed by a repair of permissions with Disk Utility. Reinstalling the latest combo updater can clear up a multitude of issues. Finally, is those don't work make a backup copy of your iPhoto Library folder and then launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select all of the options except the last one regarding orphans. Do empty your iPhoto library before the rebuild.
If the rebuild doesn't go as intended and is worse than the original library just trash it and go back to the backup copy. Sometimes it's necessary, most times not. Good luck. -
Spry menu appearing as solid block in Internet Explorer

I have a similar problem as a previous post: my website's spry menu appears as a solid white block where the links would be on the menu. By mousing over the block, I can see the links. But I don't think the same answer you provided here would apply for me. I've looked at other sites and could not find a clear answer either. I don't know what hack to add or what to change. I am very new to CSS and designing/publishing websites.

Right-click contextual menu appearance
This is an odd one. Not serious, but I'd like to find out why.
We have two new Macbook Air's. One has the standard configuration, the other the higher spec CPU & Ram. When the lower spec version right-clicks on the desktop using a two finger tap, the menu appear instantly. When the higher spec version does this, it takes between 0.25 and 0.5 second to appear. As I said, not a deal breaker, but why the difference? They both have similar things running in the background, similar things in the menu bar? Very little CPU being used, etc. Geekbench puts the higher spec one 1000 points better off so regardless of what background process is running it shouldn't make this kind of difference anyway. Can anyone offer a suggestion as to how I might ascertain what's causing the hold-up?This UI change is really stupid and useless. People got used to some specified menu items order. Changing this order could only annoy and anger.
Also the reload button has been relocated. This is another example of stupid Firefox 4 UI change. The good news is that it could easily be relocated to its original place.
It looks like the Firefox developers are suffering from idleness and boredom.

When I try to enter a URL or address into the window at the top of the Safari screen in Yosemite, a drop down menu appears with a bunch of icons on it which blocks the screen. I need to see the screen when I'm entering a URL line. How do I get the drop-down with the icons on it to go away?

Help menu appears when dialogue box dismissed
I use CS3 on both OS10.4 and 10.5. I have noticed lately that when I dismiss a dialogue box or if it closes itself (eg the print dialogue box), the help menu appears. In addition, the cursor moves to another area of the screen. In order to continue working, I have to click away from the menu, which then closes and I can proceed. This happens with PS & ID in CS3 and ID in CS2. Is there a conflict somewhere (between mouse driver -- in this case Logitech --and CS for example?). Can anyone help please? Thank you.

settings. Or contact your ISP to see if they've implemented any
kind of proxy that requires authentication.
If you're in a network environment then hit your IT guys to

streams, or requiring proxy authentication or something like

Well the iPod is supposed to be synced from YOUR iTunes music library, if you used other means to put music on there then the iPod is going to sync to only what's on your itunes music library when you connect it.
You need to put the files into itunes.
Far as your other issues, sounds like the drive is dying.

Basically, whenever I carry out a search using the omni bar in my MBA the favourites menu pops back up even though Google has loaded in the background. I have to click outside of the menu so I can see the search results...

Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Dv6108nr Won't run on battery (blinking charge light)
I have a dv6108nr (it doesn't have the nVidia chipset - so it's likely not a chipset issue) that will not recognize any batteries - even batteries that work in other systems. If I run the battery check, it shows no battery detected. If I pull the co
