PDBookmarkAddNewChild -- Passing a unicode string

Hello,
I am trying to add the following bookmark to my PDF
1.2 訂婚範圍和結垢
I am using the following piece of code.
PDBookmark InsertBookMark(PDBookmark bknode, CString strName)
wchar_t *wname = strName.GetBuffer(strName.GetLength());
size_t i;
char *name = (char *)malloc( BUFFER_SIZE );
wcstombs_s(&i, name, (size_t)BUFFER_SIZE, wname, (size_t)BUFFER_SIZE );
PDBookmark newNkNode = PDBookmarkAddNewChild(bknode,name);
However when i get the "name" buffer,, it is blank.. can someone advise as to how I can pass a unicode string to the PDBookmarkAddNewChild
Thanks

  • Unicode strings support

    Anyone else have problems with unicode strings with ADFm?
    I found very strange behavior (bug?) with unicode strings passed through ADFm bindings to EJB method parameters.
    The method is invoked only once when non-unicode (plain ASCII) characters involved.
    The same PageDef invokes method twice(?!) when parameter receives unicode characters from page! Not only that, but the second time method is invoked with completely messed-up string values (two-byte unicode chars replaced with ?).
    Obviously this behavior is making any globalized application (with unicode inputs) development impossible.
    Am I doing something wrong here?
    In several other threads I found complains on JDev (even 11g) not handling Unicode/UTF-8 properly. But I could not find any Oracle statements on this issue and commitment to true and easy Unicode application development support.

    Hi Steve,
    I have just sent you an email with test-case. You are the 5th person from Oracle I'm sending this same email. :)) But never received any answer, comment, confirmation or even rejection of the case. Please, understand that for use from non-ASCII regions this issue is BIG issue. If I cannot have my local letters in ADF then everything else is not relevant. No one will buy my SW even if I give it for free (and especially if they have to pay for Oracle licenses which are somehow far from free).
    Kind regards,
    Pavle

  • How to pass multiple query string values using the same parameter in Query String (URL) Filter Web Part

    Hi,
    I want to pass multiple query string values using the same parameter in Query String (URL) Filter Web Part like mentioned below:
    http://server/pages/Default.aspx?Title=Arup&Title=Ratan
    But it always return those items whose "Title" value is "Arup". It is not returned any items whose "Title" is "Ratan".
    I have followed the

    Please suggest me.

    Hi DH, sorry for not being clear.
    It works when I create the connection from that web part that you want to be connected with the Query String Filter Web part. So let's say you created a web part page. Then you could connect a parameterized Excel Workbook to an Excel Web Access Web Part
    (or a Performance Point Dashboard etc.) and you insert it into your page and add
    a Query String Filter Web Part . Then you can connect them by editing the Query String Filter Web Part but also by editing the Excel Web Access Web Part. And only when I created from the latter it worked
    with multiple values for one parameter. If you have any more questions let me know. See you, Ingo

  • Pass multiple query strings to url using HTTPWebRequest

    I'm trying to read data from API (in Json format) and load it into SQL server using script task in SSIS.
    Dim Request1 As System.Net.HttpWebRequest = DirectCast(System.Net.HttpWebRequest.Create(URL), System.Net.HttpWebRequest)
            Dim Object1 As [Object]
            Dim Response1 As System.Net.HttpWebResponse = Nothing
            Dim reader1 As System.IO.StreamReader
            Dim myResponseString As String
            Request1.Headers.Add("Authorization: Token *****")
            Try
                Response1 = DirectCast(Request1.GetResponse(), System.Net.HttpWebResponse)
                reader 1= New System.IO.StreamReader(Response1.GetResponseStream())
                myResponseString = reader.ReadToEnd()
    I'm able to do this with the URL. However, the requirement now is to pass different query strings to the URL and load the data into SQL.
    Could someone please provide the code sample to achieve this.
    Thanks

    If we sent you a code you must try and tell that it doesn't work or that's not what I want, this is better than repeating the same question again and again. Here you go another snippet for httpwebrequest with querstrings and tested:
    Private Sub Form1_Load(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
    Try
    Dim request As HttpWebRequest = DirectCast(HttpWebRequest.Create(New Uri("http://www.google.com?querstring1=1&querystring2=2")), HttpWebRequest)
    request.BeginGetResponse(New AsyncCallback(AddressOf ReadCallback), request)
    Catch ex As WebException
     End Try
    End Sub
    Private Sub ReadCallback(asynchronousResult As IAsyncResult)
    Dim request As HttpWebRequest = DirectCast(asynchronousResult.AsyncState, HttpWebRequest)
    Dim response As HttpWebResponse = DirectCast(request.EndGetResponse(asynchronousResult), HttpWebResponse)
    Using streamReader1 As New StreamReader(response.GetResponseStream())
    Dim resultString As String = streamReader1.ReadToEnd()
    Dim result As String = Convert.ToString("Using HttpWebRequest: ") & resultString
    End Using

  • Passing / parsing XML String IN / OUT from PL / SQL package

    Hello, People !
    I am wondering where can I find exact info (with code sample) about following :
    We use Oracle 8.1.6 and 8.1.7. I need to pass an XML String (could be from VARCHAR2 to CLOB) from VB 6.0 to PL/SQL package. Then I need to use built in PL/SQL XML parser to parse given string (could be large hierarchy of nodes)
    and the return some kind of cursor thru I can loop and insert data into

    I looked online many site for related info - can't find what I am looking

    HI Subu ,
    there is some information gap , what is your source ? are there any transformation in between ?
    If its SQL server source and destination and the datatype is as you have mentioned I dont think you should be getting such errors ... to be sure check advance properties of your source and check metada of your source columns
    just check simple oledb source as
    SELECT TOP 1 ItemCode = cast('111' as nvarchar(50)),DivisionCode = cast('222' AS nvarchar(50)), Salesplan = cast(3.3 As float) FROM sys.sysobjects
    and destination as you mentioned ... it should work ...
    somewher in your package the source columns metadata is not right .. and you need to convert it or fix the source.
    Hope that helps

  • Unicode string now returned from Stored Proc., used to be ANSI.

    Using ADO to connect VB6 to Oracle 8 stored procedures used to return strings in ANSI format. At some point in the last year or so, strings suddenly began to be returned as Unicode, unreadable by VB.
    Same problem now occurs using VB.Net and ODP.Net; I need to support both VB6 and .NET versions.
    Why are strings being encoded differently than before? Has anybody else seen this problem? What can be done?
    The NLS_LANG registry entries on the server and client machines match each other. Some of our installed base of customers reported this change, too.
    Below are some demonstration code examples.
    Stored procedure looks like this:
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE MyStoredProc
    (sMyMsg IN OUT VARCHAR2) AS
    BEGIN
         sMyMsg := 'My test string';
    RETURN;
    END;
    On the VB6 side, my code looks like this:
    Dim vParam As Variant
    Dim cmdExecute As ADODB.Command
    Dim pParam As ADODB.Parameter
    Set cmdExecute = New ADODB.Command
    cmdExecute.CommandType = adCmdStoredProc
    cmdExecute.CommandText = "MyStoredProc"
    Set pParam = cmdExecute.CreateParameter("PARAM1", vbString, adParamInputOutput, 0, vParam)
    cmdExecute.Parameters.Append pParam
    cmdExecute.ActiveConnection = ADOConnect
    cmdExecute.Execute
    vParams = cmdExecute.Parameters(0)
    Result of VB code is that vParams now contains a Unicode string.
    Any suggestions as to what's happening, where the problem might be, what to do about it, or where else to post this question (I'm not sure which Forum is the best place to look for answers) would be appreciated.
    Is "force SQL_WCHAR" relevant to this problem? If so, what does that mean and how/where do I apply it?

    The Force WCHAR option forces the ODBC driver to
    report columns and return data as Unicode. If that
    is checked, you probably want to uncheck it.But how do I do that? I can't find any documentation for a SQL_WCHAR option. Where do I go to read/change the current setting of this switch?
    What character set is your client & database?NLS_LANG, for both machines, is "AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8ISO8859P1". BTW, the client is 9.2, but the database is version 8.1.7. I'm fairly certain that the problem also existed when the client was also running ver. 8.

  • Passing xml as string to xmlPanel function

    hello Genius,
    I am using XML2UI feature of Extending Flash. I want to pass
    XML through string in place of xml file in xmlPanel function.
    is there any way to avoid creating 20 xml files and
    distributing them as my planned extension have 20 ui's.
    thanks in advance.

    Hai Shyam,
    I have tried to do as u have mentioned but still its not taking it as a paramater.
    i mean the API say
    parse
    public void parse(InputSource input) throws IOException,
    SAXExceptionParse an XML document.
    The application can use this method to instruct the XML reader to begin parsing an XML document from any valid input source (a character stream, a byte stream, or a URI).
    Is is any way to convert string to (char stream or byte stream).
    Thanks a lot
    Pooja.

  • Returning unicode string through function argument.

    Hi all,
    I have following function written in a C++ dll. I need to be able to call it from Java using JNI. This function expects to receive a buffer pointed by wchar_t * of "int len" length. It will copy write some text in to this buffer and i need to be able to get this updated Unicode string in Java code. please let me know how to write Java code to call this function.
    int getWString(wchar *ch, int len)
         wcsncpy( ch, L"Hello unicode world", len);
         return 1; // no error
    }Best Regards
    Noman Khan

    You can't.
    You have to write some C "wrapper" code that meets the java interface, and have it call the C function and handle the return.
    Java doesn't do output parameters, especially wchar_t* s.

  • Converting unicode string to ASCII

    I'm using a 3rd party API and I'm receiving the following unicoded string through an API:
    Original string: "Bill%u002b%u002526%u002bHarry%u002bUsers"
    The ASCII value is supposed to be:
    Desired string: "Bill & Harry Users"
    How do I convert the original string to the desired string?
    Any sample code would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

    could look someething like:
    public class Decoder
      public static String decode(String string)
        StringBuffer result = null;
        int pos = 0;
        int idx;
        if( string != null )
          result = new StringBuffer();
          while( pos < string.length() )
            idx = string.indexOf("%u", pos);
            if( idx >= 0
                && idx + "u0000".length() < string.length() )
              result.append( string.substring(pos, idx));
              pos = idx;
              result.append( (char)Integer.parseInt(
                      string.substring( idx + "%u".length(), idx + "%u0000".length() )));
              pos += "%u0000".length();
            else
              result.append( string.substring(pos));
              pos = idx;
        return result != null ? result.toString() : null;

  • Passing comma separated string to stored procedure

    Hi,
    There is thread with same query I created earlier and that was answered. That solution worked if I pass comma separated string containing IDs. But due to changes in the logic, I have to pass usernames instead of userIDs. I tried to modify the solution provided to use with this.

    Hi,
    I modified the query as per the solution provided by isotope, after which the logic changed and I am passing username instead of userID in comma separated string.
    Following is the changes SP, which does not throw any error, but no data is returned.
    PROCEDURE GetAllPersonalQueue (p_user_name in nvarchar2, TestQID OUT Test.refcurQID, TestPubs OUT Test.refcurPubs

  • Regular Expressions with Unicode Strings - length restriction?

    Hi,
    I can't quite figure this one out. I am checking a String for the presence of a URL.. more specifically, a jpg or gif URL.
    Anyway, the following reg exp will work fine for me. However, when testing with unicode data (chinese text) the expression will only work up to a certain string length. Here's an example:
    boolean isURL = text.matches(".*http\\S*(jpg|gif).*");
    My thought is that since Unicode data takes up more space, there a limitation to dealing with Strings. Does anyone know what that number is? Or, is there another reason the reg exp fails??
    thanks,
    joe
    Example::
    This works for any length String I throw at it using standard ASCII text.. But a unicode string of a certain length won't recognize the URL (I doubt I can simply paste my example here and have it turn out correctly..)
    DOESN'T WORK: (length is reported via text.length() as 344
