PDF Addin in office 2013 - Certificate Expired

Dear All,
We have just updated our Office Version to 2013 in my firm and decided to enable the option "Require Application Add-ins to be signed by trusted publisher", for security reasons
We are also using Acrobat Pro XI 11.0.5 and have noticed that PDF Addin is not loaded due to this security setting.
We have checked the Digital Signature of the file PDFMOfficeAddin.dll and noticed that it is expired (Valid from 20/09/12 to 21/09/13).
Is there any possibility to make this addin available using our security restriction ?
Many thanks in advance for your help,

Having the same issue with Office 2010 and Acrobat XI.  We are manadated to enable "Require Application Add-ins to be signed by trusted publisher" and need to find the solution to the expired certificate.

  • Pdf maker in Office 2013

I just got a new computer with Office 2013 and installed Acrobat X Standard in it.  However, the pdf maker does not show up in the Office applications.  Any suggestions on how to get this?

    Hi alejaf,
Acrobat 10 is incompatible with office 2013.
Please check the KB : http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/compatible-web-browsers-pdfmaker-applications.html

  • PDF created from Office 2013 with Acrobat X doesn't have correct page size

We have a process of quickly creating PDFs along with combining several Word files to PDF by utilizing the "right click" on a Word file(s) to save as a PDF within Windows.  Many times, our page size in Word is 5.5 X 8.5 and it does not save actual page size once PDF is created by using the "right click" and defaults to 8 1/2 X 11.  Is there a way to fix this or edit a setting?  It works fine from within Word if you "Save as" or "Export" but we need the right click to save as actual page size.  Please help. It worked fine in all previous versions of Word/Office.  Thanks!

    Hi pwhite2315,
Could you please let me know what version of Acrobat are you using.
Try using 'Create PDF' option under Acrobat ribbon in your word file and check for the same.
Also, please open 'Preferences' for Acrobat PDFMaker and check what 'Conversion Settings' have you selected.
    Let me know.

  • Acrobat 8 PDF printing with Windows 8.1/MS office 2013

I upgraded computer to Windows 8.1 and MS office professional 2013 and reinstalled adobe acrobat 8.
When I try to create pdf files from office 2013 document (Excel, Word, Publisher), computer freezes when window opens to select pfd document destination.
I tried opening office document in acrobat and try to create pdf file. I get pdf maker missing at this point.
Before updating computer I ran compatibility tool and it indicated my acrobat 8.3.1 was compatible with Windows 8.1; however noted that I needed to go to adobe website for help with adobe ExtendScript toolkit 2.  I don’t know what adobe ExtendScript toolkit 2 is and if it is associated with Adobe Acrobat or CS3.

I have no idea about the extend tool. You need to update to the latest version of AA 8, but it appears you are there with 8.3.1. You should print to the Adobe PDF printer. OFFICE 2013 is not compatible with the AA8 PDF Maker. So far I have only seen one person suggesting success with AA8 and Win8.1. If you can give details about your problem, we might be able to help, but you may not be successful. Only time and trial will tell.

  • Supported Filetypes (Office 2013)

I am using Acrobat 11.0.3 with Office 2013.  When I try to combine files into a PDF, in the Add Files browser, only pdf files show up.   Office files like .docx and .xlsx do not display, even though those files are in the folder selected.  When I try to sort by the filetypes, office filetypes are not listed amongst the supported filetypes.  Currently, my workaround is to convert the files to pdf using the Office 2013 plug-in from within word or excel, but it would be nice if I could cut that step out and just convert the files directly from within adobe.
    Please advise.  Thank you.

    Hi EddieB1977,
I believe there may be one of two obstacles you are running into:
    1) When you select 'Add files' be sure in the bottom right that the option of 'all supported file types' is selected.
    2) If you installed Acrobat XI before Office then be sure to go under 'help' after you open Acrobat and select the 'repair installation'.
Let me know if these help!
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
    Regards, Stacy

  • Office 2013, after windows/office updates recently, pdf add-in no longer works

We have a user who has Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit, Office 2013 (32-bit) and Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.  They used to be able to "save as pdf" from word, but can no longer do it and gets the error "word is running into problems with the 'acrobat pdfmaker office com addin'add-in.  If this keeps happening, disable this add-in and check for available updates.  Do you want to disable it now?"
They disable the add-in and are still able to 'save as' and then choose PDF in the pull down menu in word/powerpoint, but has anyone else had this issue?  I'm not sure if this is a question for the adobe folks or the microsoft folks, but it is annoying.  We've already run the Office repair and the Adobe repair but this had no affect.

    Hey rachell71266154,
Could you please let me know what exact dot version of Acrobat XI are you using.
You might choose 'Check for Updates' option under the Help menu to use the latest patch of Acrobat.
Please refer the KB doc link mentioned below and try out solutions to enable PDFMaker add-in in Word:

  • Move a Excel 2010 Dokument Addin Project (Visual Studio 2012) to another devleopment machine with Visual Studio 2012 , but Office 2013

    Hi
we do have the following situation
on computer A there is a Excel Document Addin development project , Visual Studio 2012, Office 2010 installed. All works fine.
we would like to bring the project to another machine with Visual Studio 2012, but Office 2013 installed.
Visual Studio can not build the project. It says that the application is not installed on the machine (though Excel 2013 is installed , but not Excel 2010) It seems to have a problem with the
    vbproj.
In other forums I found a hint that "Hostpackage = ..} needs to be set accordingly in the vbproj. I created then a "empty Excel-Addin project" under Visual Studio , looked at
the Hostpackage entry, put that into the vbproj of "problem project. It still does not work.
It would be great if anyone could help.
    Thomas

    Hello Eugene
Problem is that it says that projectboard (the name of the main project) can not be loaded. All other projects in the solution can be loaded. Strange thing is , now that I try to create a empty excel Project it says that according to Excel security settings
it can not be generated !?
I opened then Excel and set all Trust Center settings to "Default" - but no effect. I really have no idea what is wrong ..!?

  • Different margins in PDF after upgrade to Office 2013

    Hi,
I moved from Windows XP and Office 2000 to Windows 7 and Office 2013. In both cases I used Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro (Adobe printer) for creation of PDF from Excel.
Why are PDF files created from Excel 2013 with different margins in comparission with Excel 2000? On preview they looks same on both computers but after printing via same Adobe printer (AA 9 pro) output is slightly different.
    Thank you for explanation

One issue might be due to the Acrobat 9.x product family not being coded for support of Office 2013.
As well Acrobat 9's support for Windows 7 was (I've thought) somewhat dicey.
Understandable as the Acrobat 9.x product family was headed for end of life/support when Win 7 came out.
As of June 2013 the Acrobat 9.x product family passed into end of life / end of support.
So, if you are in a contemporary OS and MS Office suite you may want to consider moving into Acrobat XI.
    Be well...

  • Acrobat XI combine to PDF feature is not working with Office 2013 is there a compatibility issue?

Tested with Office 2010 and it works fine
Seems to only be the combine to PDF feature that doesn't work, done updates, tried combining a variety of documents still no joy

There isn't any compatibility issue with Office 2013 and Combine should work with office 2013 same as it with 2010.
Can you please tell us some more details so that we can investigate the problem which you are facing:
    1) Please update the exact Acrobat version you are using. This you can find out via "Help -> About Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.." Version should be something like 11.0.x. If it is not 11.0.7, then please update it to 11.0.7 and try again.
    2) Is this problem you faced recently (after some update - Acrobat or OS update) or it never used to work earlier for you?
    3) You mentioned that when combining, it convert first document only. Can you please let us know how many documents you are combining and what are those formats?
    4) Also please update about you environment as well. Is you Operating System and MS Office 32bit or 64bit?
    Thanks,
    Vishal

  • Checking out Pdf files to Local draft Folder option no longer works after office 2013 installed.

Checking out Pdf files to Local draft Folder option no longer works after office 2013 installed.
    Summary :
We are using SharePoint 2010 Ent edition and users were able to checkout Pdf files similar to local drafts folder like any other office file without any problem when they used office 2010.
    i.e
Unfortunately ever since their machines upgraded with office 2013 recently , this functionality completely stopped working for PDF files. This has now become a big problem for the users when it comes to check out and replace PDF files.
All browser plugins required for this functionality (i.e    SharePoint OpenDocuments Class ) are all available and active. All document libraries are configured to Checkout is required for editing files. Browser version
used at the moment is IE9 (32 bit) version with windows 7.
Can anyone please help with this issue and any help to get away with this problem is much appreciated.

    Hi,
Based on your description, my understanding is that the PDF files cannot be checked out to local drafts folder after Office 2013 is installed.
Did this issue occur with Office files?
I recommend to check if the Office files can be checked out to local drafts folder with Office 2013.
And it is recommended to use Office 2010 with SharePoint 2010 for best practice.
    Thanks,

  • Is there any way I can convert web pages to PDF using Acrobat X Pro in Explorer from Office 2013?

I get the error message "Could not access Acrobat's web capture facility.  Acrobat may be busy or waiting for input."  I have Win 8 OS also. Is there any way to convert?

I doubt that PDF Maker of AA X will work in OFFICE 2013. You should be able to print to the Adobe PDF printer, though I am not sure how AA X works in Win8, another potential problem.
For a web site, you should be able to open the web site directly in AA X.

  • Cannot Save Word files as a PDF in Office 2013 with Office customization tool

    Hello
I'm deploying office 2013 as a part of a post clone task.  Using the customization tool I created an msp with the full installation (without outlook,Link, or skydrive) I noticed that I cannot save or export files as PDF files.  If I do a manual
install (without MSP) I can save files as pdf.  I can't find anywhere in the customization tool that allows me to choose different "save as" file types. In office 2010 I used to be able to save word files as PDF files.  Any ideas would
    be greatly appreciated.
    Charles

    Hi,
In regarding the issue, could you give me more information? Did you test to install the Office 2013 by using MSP and manual installation in the same computer? Did the other Office suits can not save files as pdf?
Let's do some test to narrow down the issue:
If you use the only one computer to test, please export a new MSP file include all the suits and use the all the default setting. Then we follow the
    link to deploy again.
If the issue still exists, please try to change a computer, and update Adobe programs to install the new MSP file to test.
If you get some error message when you save as pdf through Word, please upload, I'll do more deeply research.

  • Acrobat XI PDF Add-ins do not appear in Office 2013

I just installed Acrobat XI on a computer with Win7 and Office 2013. The program works fine but I have been unable to get the add-ins to appear in the apps. I had previously done  the  same installation on another computer of mine and all works fine. I have spent at least 10 hours trying everything I could find online and in the forums with no success.
I have unistalled and reinstalled Acrobat. I have done a total repair on Office. The results are always the same.
In Outlook, the pdf maker is shown as disabled. I click to enable it and then restart. It still does not appear and the pdf add-in is again shown as disabled. I removed the add in and then manually added it back. Same results.
In other apps (e.g. Word), the pdf maker is shown as enabled but it does not appear on the toolbar. Again, on these apps, I've tried unchecking and checking (restarting in between) with no luck. And have also deleted the add in and then manually put it back in. No success.
I also repeated all of the above by starting applications as adminstrator thinking that would make a difference. No success.
I've tried using the registry editor regsrv32 to install the .dll file but I only get errors.
I suppose there could be some registry entries that need to be deleted, but I don't have a clue which ones or where to look.
I can't find anything else to try! Any suggestions will be helpful!

I suspect you have AA 11.0.0. Update the product. OFFICE 2013 came out after AA XI and you need an update for opertion. I understand that AA XI has beeen updated to work with OFFICE 2013. In the meantime, just print to the Adobe PDF printer.
