Pension not calculated when EE is hired mid-month

Hi All
Please suggest for the following....
When an Employee is hired in the middle of the month, the system doesn't calculate Pension Contribution.
Like if an EE is hired on 10th April. The system will calculate all payments & deductions, but it is not calculating the Pension Contributions.
I am maintaining IT 169, 171 for Pension Contribution.
The problem I found behind this is.....(WIth the help of an ABAPer)
-: System checks the Payroll Period Start Date with the Org. Assignment start date. When it doesnu2019t match, the system does not calculate the Pension Contribution.
For the time being I solved this through the following action -: In debugging, I canceled this condition (skipped this check). Then it calculated the Pension Contribution.
But, this is not the right solution for achieving that as we are changing standard SAP coding.
Please suggest any solution for the same.
Thanks & Regards

  • Auto Mute is not working when cycle recording in MIDI to a take folder

I'm hoping someone can provide insight into the problem I'm having in Logic X.  I'm attempting to record multiple takes of MIDI recording playing an e-kit through Addictive Drums.  I have gone into the MIDI recording options menu and selected "create take folders".  According to the manual, the previous take is supposed to be auto-muted when the cycle region resets so I can record the next take.  However, instead Logic is playing the previous region.  This did not happen when I cycle recorded in Garage Band and I'm hoping I am just doing something simple wrong.  I know there is an option to create a new track and mute the previous, but I don't want to create 7 or 8 new tracks when I should be able to put them in a take folder.  The auto-mute feature worked in the tutorial video on Lynda.com, so I'm wondering what I am doing wrong.  Any advice?

Upon further review, this problem seems to only appear when I work on projects that I import into Logic from GarageBand '11.  This is a HUGE glitch for my workflow, as I use cycle recording extensively while writing drum parts for songs and my biggest collaborating artist uses GB '11.  Does anyone know if there is something I'm missing?

  • Invoice Days are not calculating when a Days limit exists.

    Hello,
We are having an issue with both our Customer and Vendor invoices.
When using a 'payment term' with a 'Days limit' the Due date is not calculating at all.  The 'Days' field in the 'Payment tab' just comes up as a blank.
This functionality used to work, something must have changed in the system.
This is how I have the Payment term setup.
    ZY87 (days limit 10).  120 days invoice date (10th & 25th)
Default for Baseline Date = Document Date
    Fixed Date = 10, Additional months = 4
    ZY87 (days limit 25)  120 days invoice date (10th & 25th)
Default for Baseline date = Document Date
    Fixed Date = 25, Additional months = 4.
When I choose this payment term in the invoice, I get no value to show up in the 'Days' box and when I save it, the Due date becomes the Baseline Date.
    Any idea why?
    thanks for your help!
    Brett

    Thanks for your immediate response.
i have maintained all the ticks for the counting rule for LOP absence type. but in the infotype it still shows 22 days instead of 31 days for the month of oct.

  • DC pension not calculating at 10% of the Pensionable earnings.

    Users,
Part of the reason we made the changes to /171 was so that we could setup DC pension that would calculate automatically. We setup the WT 7310 effective September 1st, but the Pension is not calculating at 10% of the Pensionable earnings.  It looks almost like it is taking out the COLA rate is this possible?

More info please. Where is this percentage defined at config level and  do you use Savings Plans  (0169) IT? More info on the config.

  • Bex variable not calculating when using on a workbook

    Hello!
    I've created a variable on 0date.
The default value is the current month.
    The code is in ZXRSRU01 with i_step = 1.
When calling this variable using the query the value is correctly shown :
For exemple we are in march, the variable default value is 03.2011.
But the workbook based on this query don't update the variable default value:
The workbook shows all the time "02.2011" even if we are in March.
In fact, this workbook was saved in February, he seems to remember that value.
How to make dynamic variable in workbook ?
    regards,

Not sure if you have tried this, if not give it a try.
In workbook properties, there is a setting 'Process variable on refresh' - if this is checked the workbook uses the saved variable.
    from [http://help.sap.com/SAPhelp_nw70/helpdata/en/54/a493f7256b43698191a2623e5a0532/content.htm]
    Process Variables on Refresh
If any query in your workbook contains variables, any current values set for the variables are part of the query view definition and are therefore stored in the workbook.
Set this indicator if the values saved in the workbook are to be used automatically.
    You should have this unchecked.

  • Chennai Ptax calculation during Withdrawn stage in mid month

    Hi Experts,
As i know chennai Ptax is calculated twice in a year 6th and 12th or 5th and 11th period.
But if employee resign during the mid cycle example:employee joined april and resigned in mid july, will ptax is calculated till that period or it will ignore ptax and run salary.
    Appricate your response.
    Regards
    Sai

    Hi Siva,
Professional tax cannot be prorated as it is not deducted on basis of attendance.
The Chennai professional tax is purely dependent on Gross Salary. For example an employee joined in the mid of the year for example an employee joined in the month of Feb and left in the month of august His/her gross salary is 10,000
According to rule it will divide 10000 by 6 months His professional will get deducted according to slabs
Many organizations deduct PT on a monthly basis by way of equal installments across a half –year period. For example, if an employee earns more Rs 15,000 each month (more than Rs 75,000 in a half-year), a sum of Rs 1095 should be deducted towards PT (please see the PT rate table above). Organizations following the equated monthly PT deduction method deduct Rs 182 (Rs 1095/6) each month towards PT in the monthly payroll. At the end of 6 months the organization will have deducted Rs 1095** for PT remittance. All is well.
**Rs 182 x 6 is actually Rs 1092 and not Rs 1095. This rounding-off problem can be easily solved by simply adding Rs 3 to the PT deduction amount during payroll in any of the months during the half-year period.
What happens if the employee does not work for the entire half-year period but leaves the organization at the end of say, 3 months? For example, let us assume that the employee works from 01-Apr-2012 to 30-Jun-2012 during the half-year period.
The company will have deducted Rs 546 (Rs 182 x 3) for the 3 months as per the equated monthly PT deduction logic. For the 3 months, the employee earned Rs 45,000 (this is the half-yearly salary since the employee leaves the organization), and for Rs 45,000 the organization should have deducted only Rs 235 as PT (please see the PT rate table above). In addition, Rs 546, the deducted PT amount, does not fall in any PT slab as specified by the Chennai Corporation. Ideally, the organization should refund Rs 311 (PT deducted in excess) to the employee. In practice, most organizations just remit whatever PT is deducted from employee salary. We have come across instances where PT authorities have questioned the basis of PT deduction when PT amounts do not fall under any PT slab.
There can also be instances when the equated PT deduction logic can lead to under-deduction of PT.
Let us assume that an employee earns Rs 7,000 per month (Rs 42,000 in a half-year period). The PT deduction for a half-year period should be Rs 235 (as per the PT slabs). As per the equated PT deduction logic, the organization will deduct Rs 39 per month (Rs 235/6). If the employee leaves the organization at the end of 5 months, the organization will have deducted Rs 195 as PT. However for an employee salary of Rs 35,000 (Rs 7,000 x 5 months), the organization should have deducted Rs 235. This is a case of under-deduction of PT.
The flaws of the equated PT deduction logic will come to the fore for any employee who does not work the entire six months in a half-year period.
If you are in favour of the equated PT deduction method and argue that you can always adjust the excess or short PT in the final settlement processing if an employee quits before the end of the half-year period, we will simply say that this will not be possible in case an employee absconds or does not have adequate settlement salary to recover the short PT in full.
In other words, the equated PT deduction logic is flawed and is better not followed. Of course, if an organization does not deduct PT each month but deducts PT only once every half year, this problem will not occur.

  • Mid-Month Calculations

I am bringing a fixed asset system online in SAP and during the legacy conversion it was realized that the test system is not calculating the depreciation using a mid month convention.  That being said looking at the configuration the company code was setup in 2005 and is in production and is productive (since 2005).  So it appears that this setting is global and SAP will not allow me to change these settings to allow mid month calculations.  Is this correct? anyone ran across the same issue.

  • Mid month joiners PF Projection Issue

    Hi Team,
We have an issue with respect to PF Projection for the employees who joined in mid month. We are on actual basis as an income tax projection.
Employee joined on 16.04.2014 and his basic is 20,000 rupees. Since he joined in mid month his PF will be deducted as 1200. Now the system is projecting under Aggregate chapter VI as  1200+2400*11 = 27600 which is incorrect. It should do as 1200+1200*11 = 14400
We are not sure why system Is behaving weird. If anybody come across this situation, please let us know.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Siva.

    Hello,
Please note that proration in case of mid month termination and joining
will be applicable to PF eligible pay alongwith EPF basis.
This is the standard behaviour of the system.
Please go through the below explanation on the proration of PF
PF will be prorated if there is a mid month joinee or mid month
termination. In Case of LOP the Eligible Pay is not prorated.
If the pension basis is eligible pay which is maintained in T511P in the
constant PFBAS and currently having the value as 6500 then, in the case
of mid month joining  6500 gets prorated for the number of days employee
    was in the trust.
In the case of mid month joining/leaving or transfer scenarios, the PF
Basis will be correspondingly prorated and so the contribution
    calculated will also be prorated.
If the customer doesn't want this pension basis to be prorated then a
User Exit: Override Employer Pension Basis has been provided in payroll
function INEPF. The name of the exit is EXIT_HINCALC0_002. This exit is
in the enhancement HRINCEPF. We request you to go through the
documentation of this user exit at
Payroll India   > Statutory Social Contribution   > Provident Fund   >
User Exit: Override Employer Pension Basis

  • Pension and mid-month hiring

    Dear Experts,
A person was hired in mid-month, the 15th.
    Payable earnings is 4480
The schema is referencing the correct wage type /103
in payroll  the amount  for the pension of 2480.85 x 6.9% = 171.18. But it should be 309.12
    a pcr was created for special cumulations into/103 that reads as follows;
    - 3
        - /103 PF APPL. EARNINGS
              WPALL FRST
              ADDWT *
There's no other wage type that has that amount. anks
How do we get teh calculation for the 309.12 to result?
    Many thanks,
    M

I must forewarn you that I am not familiar with IT0150.
In your initial post, you had mentioned a pcr as
    - 3      - /103 PF APPL. EARNINGS
              WPALL FRST
              ADDWT *
This implies that if WT /103 exists in more than one "split", then only it's values (RTE/NUM/AMT) for the first split will be kept in the Input Table, that is if that are all options for the pcr.
Regarding pcr ZVA1, you should first look into the Input Table that is read by the pcr to check the values of /103 and of /809 (Constant GENAU should have a value of 100,000.00).  As mentioned by Frances, this is a Custom pcr that will prorate the amount paid.  It was created to respond to a requirement, but if I understand you correctly, you would like the payment not to be prorated when the employee is hired in the current month.
Do you have a WT or a temporary variable that indicates that the employee has been hired in the current month?

    Hi Brian,
In standard SAP physical sample planning requires sample drawing procedure.
    Link: [http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_05/helpdata/EN/2d/3521b6448c11d189420000e829fbbd/frameset.htm]
And drawing procedure is advised with partial sample numbers.

Generally when we use partial sample numbers, we also use a drawing procedure. And in that scenario SAP describes the calculation as shown in
    Link: [http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_05/helpdata/EN/2d/3521b6448c11d189420000e829fbbd/frameset.htm]
What you have done (partial samples for MICs and not having for others, all without drawing procedure) is not generally done. I think our observations in this context should be confirmed only if we try more of such examples.

    Hello all,
I have a really wired Problem with my C3-00 bought yesterday. It is not possible to enter a "3" into the calculator when the phone language is set to 'german'. Any other language is fine, but no way in german.

Another thing I've found out is that along with Standard PS/2 Keyboard I have installed HID Keyboard Device.
Can it be somehow related to my issue?
    Hi,
How about on the system without this issue? Do you have HID Keyboard Device installed on it too?
You can try to install the HID Keyboard Device on the system with no issue, then check if the problem will start to occur. If the issue occurs after the installation of the device, the issue is probably caused by a conflict caused by the device.

  • 'Query has not yet calculated' When executing BW report in Bex

    Hi, all
There is message 'Query has not yet calculated' when execucting BW report in BEx.
what's the reason? How to solve this issue?
however, when I change the filter to one or several employee number such as employee information report, there will be one or several records in the report.
Anyone can help me?Thanks very mcuh.
    Carina

    ok.
While using exception aggregation, you need to give a reference characteristics. You might have given 0calday for the same for 0ANSALARY ( SUM LAS ) and your infoprovider does not have 0calday and the report is unable to calculate the result based on 0calday.
This will obviously throw and error but you will be able to see the result. But the result will not calculate last sum for 0ansalary correctly.
For this, please check the infoprovider design. You can use reference character other than 0calday and make sure that, the reference time characteristics is present in your infoprovider.
    Cheers
    Chanda

  • I need to be able to give them a total price calculation when they submit the form. even if im not using credit card as my only payment option.

i have an online menu - many of my customers pay by check, cash and credit card as well - is there not an option to show those options...  and items vary in price, i need to be able to give them a total price calculation when they submit the form.

    a) No, b)Yes. Firstly, the only payment gateway currently supported from FormsCentral is PayPal. If your customers complete the FormsCentral Form and order 6 of item 1 at one dollar each and 3 of item 2 at two dollars each, when they press 'Continue to Checkout' button, they are transferred to the PayPal Gateway - which will show the Total to Pay. That's no help for your folks wanting to pay by check. Think you may need another solution. Acrobat won't link directly to a Payment Gateway either, without you doing a bit of JavaScript etc.
