PeopleSoft Reports Distribution status is 'Posting'

In our Peoplesoft application, all the jobs are holding with distribution status as 'Posting'. All the instances are qued up in ps_cdm_transfer table. Once the Process Scheduler server is rebooted, all of them gets posted but again it is holded with posting status. It requires to restart the process scheduler server again and again to get them posted. The instance was working fine till now and none of the logs tells anything about this. Also one point needs to be mentioned here that we are not able to see the message log for the jobs which are holding in 'Posting' status and even though the transfer retries are set, it is not doing the transfer at all. Any help is really appreciated as this is a bit urgent from our end.

- is there sufficient space on the report Repository?
- How many DST Agents are there. is spawning enabld?
- and then check the count(*) from PSPRCSRQST, PSPRCSQUE & PS_CDM_LIST. They should be in Sync.
Finally check the oldest one that is in 'POSTING' and see how big is its o/p file size. Go to log_output on the Prcs Server. If it is too huge verify wiht users and delete that report and then bounce/reconfigure the Prcs Srv. Mostly this shud resolve the issue.
and it would be good if u post the info from the Dst & Scheduler logs from Prcs Scheduler.

    Hi all,
We have run a process yesterday.
The process' run status is still "processing" but the distribution status is changed to "posted". what could be the reason for this? i have never seen such thing in process monitor.
    Please help me.
    Thank you,
    Bye.

And does the report posted and accessible from the monitor ?
    Peopletools version ? OS ? Database ?
Did you try to refresh the page (not through the refresh button but with your web browser) ?
Did you try to disconnect and reconnect ?

  • PeopleSoft Reports 'Not Posted'

First of all I know that this a problem which has been discussed many a times here and in other websites. I have tried checking almost all the possible solutions for this and finally found that my problem is different than those already answered.
This is the problem with PeopleSoft CRM(8.8) with PT 8.45.16 and my application is running in Unix box. From process monitor, the reports are going to Posting status and finally going to 'Not Posted' status.Message log says 'PSUNX failed to post files to the report repository' then retries and finally unable to post them.

    Important Findings :
When I look into log_output folder, the output file still exists there
When I look in psreports folder which is my report nodes, I can see the file present there as well with timestamp of the last retry as per DISAGNT log
When I look in the PSDSTSRV service through PSADMIN, it gets loads everytime it tries to post the report and finally when it goes to Not Posted status it comes down to 0 load.
I checked my report node and they look correct.
So in this case, the ftp is finally working and putting the reports to the report repositary but for some reason distribution agent is not getting this information and so it is erroring out. Reports are stored in both log output and report repository.
I tried restarting process scheduler, clearing cache and deleting some old reports but still it is not helping it any way.
Any suggestions from you will be great !!!!

I checked after changing Logfence setting to 5 in process scheduler. It gave me more elaborated logs. As expected the ftp part went fine and the reports were correctly moved to psreports folder. But the process monitor still showing 'Not Posted'. When I looked back to the logs, the interesting message that I saw in Scheduler log as follws :
    Invoking service PostReport

It looks like it is not recognising that the reports are laready posted. PSDSTSRV process is not getting that intimation. Not sure about how it works internally, but looks like it is sending some asynchronous message is sent to App server for this? Is that breaking somewhere ther?
Also I went to the blogs and checked that in my existing installation, we have the setting already there. So, we are good with the overall configuration.
Any insight on this would be great.

  • ERROR - Status of posting run could not be read - TV

    Hi,
I've a problem at PR05 transaction. When I select a down payment line I receve the message below:
Status of posting run 0000054529 could not be read
         Message no. 56820
         Diagnosis
The trip is assigned to a posting run (significant for transfer to accounting) for which the current accounting status could
         not be read.
         System Response
For security reasons, the system does not allow changing or canceling of trips with undefined accounting status.
         Procedure
Try to repeat the action later or inform your system administrator.
The FI Document was generated. I believe that something happend to SAP after PRRW generated the FI/CO Documents.
The question is how can I Create a Travel Expense Report (TRIP) in order to clear the dow payment with this problem happening?
    PS: SAP ECC 6.0
    tks

Answered my own question. After I thought I had tried everything, it occurred to me to Verify Disk. Doing so revealed a minor bitmap error. So, using my trusty install disk, I booted my machine to the disk and repaired it.
After the repair, I started iTunes and was able to download my songs. Unfortunately, my original library file was permanently damaged, so I had to start with a clean one. However, if the worst thing to happen to me in all this is that I have to redefine my playlists, then I'm better off.
I hope this thread helps someone in the future.

  • Document in status not posted' trip cannot be changed"

    Dear Gurus,
I have a situation here that,  iam unable to change the expenses, iam getting the following message.
"document in status not posted' trip cannot be changed"
The Posting run was created for this trip, which was  accidentally deleted,  from PRRW.
Now we wanted to change the expenses from PR05, but we are getting this message.
How to go about this situation.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Please use the report RPRDETEC to check the inconsistency. You can either delete this trips in the cluster table or manually repair it by writing your own z report.

  • Synchronize Material Status and Distribution Status

As we have assigned (in our concept) one distribution status to one material status, we want to ease the maintenance for the users so that they only have to set the material status. The distribution status should then be adapted automatically (for both cross-plant and plant-specific status).
My idea was to create a report which maybe runs nightly and sets the distribution status according to the material status.
Has anyone made experience with that and give me some hints on how to do that well?
    Thanks for your contribution!

    Hi Mohan,
I am talking about the material master. You can set both status there. What I want to have is that
-x-plant material status is always equal to x-plant distribution status
    --> MARA-MSTAE is always written to MARA-MSTAV
-plant-specific material status is always equal to plant-specific distribution status
    --> MARC-MMSTA is always written to MVKE-VMSTA
    Best regards
    Martin

  • Wuauclt commands to force reporting of status?

It seems that wuauclt /reportnow does not really seem to be doing anything even though it is supposed to make the clients report their status.  Is there anything that can be done to force an immediate status report?
I also notice that wuauclt does not seem to display errors.  I can type wuauclt /detttecknow or wuauclt /klsdjlkfjds and it won't display an error.

    I have tried the wuauclt
/reportnow command before and it does not seem to be doing anything that actually speeds up client reporting.
It looks like they still report whenever they get around to reporting and running the command doesn't make it faster.
The /reportnow function is a very tricky beast, and it somewhat requires an understanding of the natural behaviors of the WUAgent.
When the WUAgent performs activities, it queues up all of those completed activities as 'events'. When the WUAgent quits working, an idle timer is engaged, and when the WUAgent has been idle for ~20 minutes, it invokes a call to the ReportingWebService.
You can see these calls in the WindowsUpdate.log and compare their timestamps with the entries just previous.
If the /reportnow action is invoked after the WUAgent becomes idle and
before the regular call to the ReportingWebService, an immediate call to the ReportingWebService will be invoked. You can also see this in the WindowsUpdate.log.
However, the call to the ReportingWebService is not the end of the line. Those events reported in that call are loaded into a buffer, and the WSUS server then processes those events asynchronously. If the WSUS server is also busy doing other things or other
clients are also reporting at the same time, there will be an additional delay until the results are visible in the WSUS console.
The real thing to remember is that, at best, the /reportnow task isn't going to save you much more than 20-30 minutes, so usually just waiting is the more efficient approach to the whole thing.

  • How to generate a MSDS report from status GP (Generation possible) to RE

    Hi EHS Goeroes,
I'm struggling with the Generation of the MSDS. I have done the following procedure and settings:
    a) Create MSDS report (CG42)
    b) Edit Generation Variant (CG2B)
    Settings:
(I have assigned my template to the Generation Variant)
    Generate manual request automatically: marked
    Change Marks: 0
    Initial release status: RE (released)
    Version requirement: unmarked
    Set historical automatically: unmarked
    c) EHS > Specification Workbench > Report from Template (to test the design - display is correct and all phrases can be found)
    d) EHS > Specification Workbench > Create new report
(report has been created succesfully and appears in Report Management).
    e) EHS > Specification Workbench > Report Management:
MSDS_29 Material Safety Data Sheet for China World
Chinese Not Relevant Generation Poss. => generation possible.
Feedback affter clicking on Accept: You tried to carry out action 'Accept' on a report with status GP. However, this action is not allowed for reports with this status.
Feedback after clicking on Generate: You tried to carry out action 'Generate' on a report with status GP. However, this action is not allowed for reports with this status.
    d) SE38 I have no jobs scheduled yet, so I run the following two programs to start the worklist manually, RC1AVGE1 and RC1AVGE2.
RC1AVGE1 - gave allot of feedback information regarding to changes and so on (first time I run it).
RC1AVGE2 - feedback: EHS: 'Worklist Generation for Reports - Selection for Check. - 0 reports to be checked were found'
From my understanding program RC1AVGE2 - should generate the MSDS.
    e) WWI - monitor display (CG5Z):
    100 @03\QNo background processes in client@ 5 SBR WWI-00000000000000000002 FREE RMDERKS

    xxx SV003 @5C\QWWI server is inactive@ @02\QNo background processes on WWI server@
I checked if I had any jobs running in the background or has been finished, but it seems like it goes wrong here, the system does not generate a job for the generation of the MSDS_29. To be able to get the status of MSDS_29 to RE (Released).
Does anybody has an idea what I do wrong, or which settings might be incorrect? Futhermore, what are the further steps to issue the report in the SD module - report shipping?
    Help is much appreciated!
    Roy Derks

    Hi Roy,
Check and activate the QWWI server for the second job wwi - 110. Try once to generate the MSDS.
I will revert back if i get information.

    Hi Daniel,
You will probably have to create a join with the MSP_ASSIGNMENT_TRANSACTIONS Table.
    See reference here:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/project_programmability/archive/2008/01/03/statusing-transactions-partial-documentation.aspx

  • Error message in distribution status of crmd_order

    Hi All,
We are working on CRM 2007. After saving the transaction type in cRMD_ORDER the distribution status attribute in the status view is showing as "Error in distribution".
But still we can find the document being available in ECC.
Please help us in this issue.
    Points will be rewarded liberally.
    Thanks in advadnce,
    RK

Have you applied Support Package 2? We had a similar error that was caused by a program error that got fixed with SP2.
We got the error in SAP Note 1128686 which is due to a program error that has a correction in the note and also included in the cumulative Support Package 2 (SAPKU60002).
After applying the SP, sales orders created in IC Web now are in status Distributed Open.

  • Document distribution Status

    Hi All,
I am new in SAP and I am for the moment trying to learn about document distribution in DMS.
I wonder what I should do to get the Status for my distribution order to OK?
For the moment the Status alway stays at PC, depending how I distribute the Status has been AS nad BD before staying at PC.
In my example I have distributed via Recipient List and succesfully received the document with its originals to an email.
I have tried both confirm receipt/ no confirmation and also changed other things.
    Thanks in advance
    Mikael

    Hello,
    Good day!
I was wondering if you could help me with my problem regarding document distribution status. I would like to add a new external address in the recipient list. I was able to maintain the address in SOAD and SOCP however the status stays at BD for the new external address that I maintained. For the rest of the recipients, it was processed successfully (email was sent and a form was printed).
Can you tell why is it not working or give your inputs on what to check?
    Thanks and kind regards,
    Ivy

  • Report Distribution in ERP

    Hi all -
Interested in the best technique for report distribution in ERP ECC 6.0 given that BI and Portal are not in scope and ERP licences are limited.  Is there report distribution capability in ERP that can be used or do I have to build a small application to send (email) pre-defined reports (I.e. report/variant/email address/frequency stored in custom table) through SAPConnect?  I do know that report distribution is addressed in BI but is there any capability in ERP?
    Thanks,
    Pat

    Hi Vinnie -
Wish it were this simple.  What I am asking is if there is capability to distribute different reports to different users (not necessarily users with SAP logons) in different formats (xls, html, ...) at predefined frequency (weekly, monthly, quarterly) via an automated process.  At a minimum, the report (i.e. program), variant, email address and report frequency (or a trigger/event)  would have to be maintained in ERP (i.e. persistently).  BI has this type of capability.  Is there any similar type or a light version of this in ERP or do I have to build it?
    Thanks,
    Pat

  • Distribution Status Failure

When I open the SCCM 2012 R2 Admin Console and browse to
Monitoring | Overview | Distribution Status | Distribution Configuration Status
, all the DPs are banged.  The MP is fine.
When I look at the associated asset messages, each of them says...
Upon review of that DP's smsdpmon.log file, the only thing I see wrong is...
I log onto the MP server and launch Powershell.  I then run the following query.
Get-WmiObject -ComputerName SRVCRPNAME -Namespace root\sccmdp -Query "select * from SMS_PackagesInContLib" | select PackageID
Sure enough, TEI007C is in WMI but when I look in the DP’s SCCMContentLib\PkgLib folder, the matching INI file is nowhere to be found.
I can’t find TEI0007C anywhere in SCCM so there’s no way I can redistribute that package to resolve this issue.  It looks to me like it’s just stuck in WMI but isn’t supposed to be.
Any ideas on what I should do next?
BTW, we’ve performed the following upgrades about a month ago.  I’m only now becoming aware of this problem as I just found this view in SCCM Console.  I might have been this way for a while I wouldn’t have known it because I'm very new to System
    Center as a whole.
    SCCM 2012 SP1 upgraded to R2
    MDT upgraded to MDT 2013
    AEK upgraded to 8.1
Thank you for any assistance you can offer.

Thank you Shyam for so prompt reply,
We are using the same report. But its bit uneasy to go to change document of each and every ticket. Also in this report we could not find how much days the notification lay in New status or in In-process status. We require somewhat in following format.
Ticket number     New           Customer action     In-process
    000001          1Day          1.3 Days          1 Day
    000002          1.3 Days                           2.3 Days           1 Day
    000003          3 Days          3.4 Days          1 Day
We are not bothered about days, week or hours etc. The purpose is to indentify how much time every ticket took stage wise. May be through ABAP this possible but we are looking for standard reports.

  • Time stamps in reports and status are 7hrs off, is there a setting?

Time stamps in reports and status are 7hrs off, is there a regional setting to correct this?
When I run e-load all reports and any other time stamps are 7 hours off. (If I run a test at 9:20am pacific time the e-load shows 4:20pm). The e-test scripts show the correct time if I run those via e-test.
Is there a setting for this?
    Thanks!
