Petalinux fails to build for new board configuration

We’ve successfully brought up our new board running a simple application that loads off the SD card and prints “Hello World”, blinks a LED and accesses DDR3 memory. I’m trying to port 2014.4 Petalinux to work on the design and am having the following problems:
Running petalinux-build, I get the following errors building u-boot:

In trying to understand what is causing this error, it appears it may be due to the fact that our design has no QSPI in it, which is listed as optional in the Petalinux manual. The u-boot code appears to expect that it can read its environment information from a section of QSPI. We’d prefer to not add one. Any idea if there’s a work-around for this, assuming this is the problem? I also tried configuring a system and telling it we have a QSPI. I get the same error compiling.
So now I'm at a loss. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It now works fine after changing my platform-top.h to:
#include <configs/platform-auto.h>
#define CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH
/* Total Size of Environment Sector */
#define CONFIG_ENV_SIZE                 (128 << 10)
#ifndef CONFIG_ENV_IS_NOWHERE
# define CONFIG_ENV_IS_NOWHERE
# define CONFIG_ENV_SECT_SIZE           CONFIG_ENV_SIZE
# ifndef CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET
#  define CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET             0xE0000
# endif
# define CONFIG_CMD_SAVEENV
#endif

    Hi
    I keep getting error such as "Failed to check for a new preview build, please try again later.0x80248014" and unable to update to a newer build version.
    How do I download the latest version build?

  • Adding ANT_OPTS (or similar) to Android build, for New Relic integration

    We'reintegrating New Relic, into our app and their docs state to (if using Ant to build), to set
    ANT_OPTS="-javaagent:/path/to/newrelic-android-3.330.0.jar"
    In your environment variables, which, with AIR, would probably need to be sent through to adt?  Is there any way we would be able to do that for our project?
    I have the IOS side of the ANE working 100% already, just trying to figure this side out.

    I haven't used the command line syntax (we're in the process of upgrading from RH6 to RH8, but looking at your post sparks the following thoughts:
    1. What is the name of your WebHelp single source layout? If you created a custom WebHelp SSL or renamed the WebHelp SSL in your Projects tab > Single-source folder, I think the new layout name needs to be in the parens.
    2. Did you actually add -l (WebHelp) at the end of the command line, or did you put it after rhcl? (i.e.
    rhcl -l (WebHelp) "C:\ABC\123\Current\Help\Project1\Project1.xpj"
    3. About the location of the WebHelp files to check in - the output files are generated to the folder that you designate in the WebHelp single source layout.
    As a rule, RH experts recommend not checking generated help files into source control. However, I've been in the trenches on this automated build thing, and I understand that your FinalBuilder app needs to check them in so it can put the application package together.
    This is much easier with the .chms, since there is one .chm per project. You can just overwrite the old .chm with the new .chm. However, there are lots and lots of output files in any single WebHelp output, and they tend to come and go as topics are added and deleted. This is why RoboHelp clears the designated output folder before creating any new output files when generating WebHelp - it's the only way to be sure that old unwanted files are gone.
    I don't know what is the best way to do this, but I think that armed with this information, you and your FinalBuilder admins can work out the best way to manage this source control issue.
    Good luck, and do post back with your solution - I'm especially interested in the "WebHelp results under source control" piece, since that's an issue I've run into myself in the past.

  • Mail not checking for new messages in IMAP subfolders

    Hello everyone,
    I am disappointed to see that Mail version 3.0 (912.1/912) displays the same wrong behavior as pre-Leopard versions in the way that it fails to check for new messages in subfolders on an IMAP account (it only checks the INBOX).
    One has to manually open each and every subfolder and wait a few seconds to force a resync and display any new message placed there by server-side rules processing.
    So far I had been using the excellent IMAPCheck (http://macapps.perniciouspenguins.com/imapcheck/) but this is no longer supported by 10.5.
    Does anybody have a workaround for this? Or the power to bug Apple engineering enough to get this solved once and for all ;o)
    Thanks much,
    teedeepee

    This problem is not solved for all cases.
    This solution only applies to server-side filtering/redirecting of messages into imap folders.
    I'm having trouble with client-side mail.app rules moving new messages into imap folders and not having the new message counts displayed.
    This wasn't a problem in the previous version of mail.app.
    Here's to hoping that Apple posts a patch to fix this problem soon...

  • OS for new build w/K8N Neo4 Platinum

    I will be building a new machine using an MSI Neo4 Platinum mobo. This is my 1st build. I have a registered WIN98 SE installation disk but fear it won’t work as MSI advises nvidia 4 chipset will not work with it. I do not want any more hassles than I already anticipate. Is it possible to buy the Pro Upgrade and do a direct install without 98 SE being installed or do I have to buy the full Pro? Concern being that by installing 98 first, I will trigger mobo errors prior to even getting a chance to upgrade. Thanks.

    Again thanks to everyone; Hansh & Mike, you appear to have some experience with using the Upgrade, so let me ask you a question. Have you ever done it with this board in particular?  The concept I believe would be that during the upgrade, the board itself doesn’t know (recognize) the OS until the install is complete, therefore it has no idea that SE was ever present, correct? To follow this train of thought – in order to insure that no remainders of SE are left hanging around on my HD prior to initiating this install, I would probably be best off if I started with a clean HD versus putting the old HD w/SE installed in; do you agree or should it make no difference?
    Continuing, re: use of upgrade and hassles. I’m a college student and classes start next week, so I need to do this ASAP hence reduce hassle potential. The economics of all of this are: Upgrade via Bookstore is $71.00; best Home OEM is same amount; XP Pro OEM is $95. Dollar wise Upgrade makes best sense if hassle free; but some are saying go full OEM as no hassle. What’s the consensus (p.s. concern w/OEM = hassles w/MS during repeated changes I will be making to hdwre configuration as part of my install as will be adding one piece at a time to check for failures as I go. Thanks.

  • Failed to Install The New Preview Build. Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80246007: FBL_AWESOME1501 9926 Professional.

    Hello,
    I'm having issues upgrading my Windows 10 Technical Preview installation build 9879 to a newer build that's become available late January 23rd.
    I am installing the new upgrade in a Hyper-V virtual machine and get the following error:
    Failed to install the new preview build, please try again later. 0x80246007
    What could be the problem?
    Previously I've had messages that Windows cannot be upgraded on a computer with less than 2 Gbyte of RAM. That's a Hyper-V VM with dynamic memory and I was highly surprised to see this error; never had this before. Had to set 2048 Mbytes as a minimum memory
    for this VM. Now that I have this 80246007 error code.
    When looking up System log, the following error messages are listed multiple times:
    Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80246007: FBL_AWESOME1501 9926 Professional.
    The errors are returned for the Event ID 20 by WindowsUpdateClient
    in task category Windows Update Agent..
    I reviewed the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\Applicability
    registry key as suggested in Windows
    Insider stuck on build 9841 - "No new preview build was found", and here is what it shows:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\Applicability]
    "BranchName"="fbl_awesome1501"
    "ThresholdRiskLevel"="low"
    "ThresholdOptedin"=dword:00000001
    Note, when attempting to install the downloaded update from a native boot, installation starts with no errors.
    However, since setup is not supported for a natively booted VHD files, it does not proceed further showing a message that installation on virtual drives is not supported.
    Looks like Setup is having problems installing in a Hyper-V virtual machine.
    Possibly, some ESD files got corrupted during downloading? Is it possible to remove them and re-download missing files? (I, however, noticed that Windows seems to re-download upgrade files after you restart 9879 and attempt to check for a new build.
    Any clue why installing under VM causes 9926 to fail?
    Thank you in advance.
    Well this is the world we live in And these are the hands we're given...

    Hi,
    According to the error message, this problem seems like update package installation failed during system upgrade.
    You can try to remove ESD file which locate at boot of C drive and upgrade the system again for test.
    On the other hand, make sure the system 9879 installed all Windows pushed updates before system upgrade.

    So I thought ok maybe it needs the 3.2 patch, so I un-installed then reinstalled but it wouldn't let me run the patch saying that my sources are alreay patched, I need this machine to do my work and I now at a dead stop.
    thanks for your help on this.

    OK it all worked accept for one small bit, with the new patch there is a bug in the script. It calls for
    /sbin/lsmod which doesn't exist.
    It exists in /bin/lsmod
    So I guess you could mod the script but I just symlinked the path and it worked fine.
    ln -s /bin/lsmod /sbin/lsmod
    thanks again for your help and I hope this little bit gets found by who needs it.

  • New computer build for video editing, daily use of Premiere Pro, what do you all think ?

    I'm building a new PC for using video editing softwares with because my old one is getting tired. I'd like to know what people think of that configuration. I plan on using this computer with the latest versions of After Effects and Premiere, i'm also beginning to learn Cinema 4D.
    ASUS Sabertooth Z97 MARK2
    Corsair Vengeance 1866 DDR3 RAM (4x8gig)
    Barracuda 2TB (x2)
    Intel Core i7-4790k Haswell Quad Core 4.0Ghz
    EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti Dual 3GB w/ EVGA ACX Cooler
    Cooler Master HAF 932 Case.
    Power Supply ? Dunno what's good and durable here, care to help me what to choose ?
    Those things combined are pretty much maxing out my budget so i'm open to changing something for something else if it's worth it and not twice the price of it.
    Thanks !!

    Lots of information at Tweakers Page
    Power supply I would use Cooler Master V850 - 850W Power Supply with Fully Modular Cables and 80 PLUS Gold Certification …
    Or Cooler Master V1000 - 1000W Power Supply with Fully Modular Cables and 80 PLUS Gold Certification … if you plan to add more hard drives in the future

  • Readiness Checks fail with "The type initializer for 'Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.ThrottlingModule`1' threw an exception."

    There's another thread about this issue but the accepted answer actually has nothing at all to do with the original problem/question so that's a bit deceptive.
    Anyway, when trying to install Exchange 2013 SP1 (on 2012 R2 Datacentre) the installation reaches the Configuring Prerequisites part of the Readiness Checks and then fails out with the message:
    The type initializer for 'Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.ThrottlingModule`1' threw an exception.
    I honestly can't find any way around this issue and the only mentions I've seen resulted in people reinstalling Windows which obviously isn't really a resolution to the problem.
    Is there any known fix for this issue?

    Ok well I've managed to get around that now by recreating a few registry keys and documented that here (apparently I'm not allowed to create links so can't put that here).
    I have a new issue now though. It seemed to get almost all the way through the installation process but is now failing due to a "memory" issue although due to the wording I can't tell whether it means RAM or Disk space. Either way, neither should
    apply. The drive has 80GB of space available and the machine has 8GB of RAM (only 2GB in use at the time the installer was ran and the amount didn't drop).
    The exact error is...

    I'm trying to upgrade Windows 10 TP for Enterprise to the new build 8460, but I keep getting the error message
    Failed to install the new preview build, please try again later. 0xC1900107
    I don't find any reference to that error code. I've seen similar reports in the forum, but with different error codes and with the message "Failed to upgrade" rather than "Failed to install". I haven't played with the reg keys on this
    system.
    The event viewer shows the following event:
    Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0xC1900107: fbl_release 9860 Enterprise.
    The upgrade to a non-Enterprise device started at the same time went through without problems.

    Hi Russell,
    What’s the situation now?
    There would be a cause that the upgrade is running background, so a retry would fail in this situation.
    You can check the action log  in C:\$Windows.~BT\source\panther\setupact.log
    Check the time line to see if it is running for upgrade.

  • Using ALEAUD for application reply? or build a new IDOC ?

    Hello.
    I have a scenario where a 3rd party sends me a message, that I map in my PI to an ACC_DOCUMENT IDOC.
    I need to send a reply on the ACC_DOCUMENT IDOC after processing it.
    The reply must contain several applicative values from the IDOC - so that the 3rd party will be able to
    "understand" on what message it receives the reply.
    Should I use ALEAUD in this case? I'll have to add an extension so that it will contain the applicative values.
    Or should I build a new IDOC or ABAP proxy to send the reply back? will I be able to generate it when I process the IDOC?
    Anyone has a Rule of thumb on this matter?
    Thanks in advance,
    Imanuel Rahamim.

    Hi,
    If you want to give the application response with minimal effor, you might want to change the ACC_DOCUMENT IDoc used so far to calling BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST. Actually, their data structures are identical, because ACC_DOCUMENT is an ALE interface generated for this BAPI. Thanks to this, you will immediately receive application response from your ECC system, including information like document number of the document posted, and similar.
    Alternatively, if you do not want to use synchronous scenario, I recommend developing a custom ABAP Proxy that you will use to pass posting information from ECC to PI to your 3rd party system. You can call this Proxy after each IDoc is posted, or on a regular basis to collect multiple postings information into a single call. I think this will be easier to do it from scratch than to enhance ALEAUD message.
    Or you can go one step further and configure FIDCC2 IDoc distribution to have the financial postings automatically sent from ECC to PI to 3rd party, immediately after the posting document is created. It is up to you to decide, based on the actual requirements and possibilities of the 3rd party system.
    Hope you'll find this useful,
    Greg

    Hello, I'm trying to update my Windows 10 to the new build and it's not possible in my computer.
    In PC Settings\Preview Build I get this error as a result after trying to install the new update:

    EDIT: After trying the solution posted here: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/66f82aff-9411-4c5f-a34f-e3172df32925/preview-build-failed-to-download-0x80246018?forum=WinPreview2014Setup
    Now I have different error 0x80240024

    Hi,
    Did you find the error during downloading or installing process? Have you cleared the SoftwareDistribution folder and check the issue again?
    It would be better if you can check the event viewer and windowsupdate.log (%windir%\Windowsupdate.log), find related information, upload the log to OneDrive for further analysis.

  • Failed to install the new preview build, please try again later 0xC1900204

    I upgraded in-place from Windows 8.1 to Build 9926. I am unable to upgrade past 9926.
    Windows Update finds the new preview build on both fast and slow rings. It downloads it successfully. Upon attempting to install, it fails.
    I get a screen overlay with the message:
       Can't update to Windows 10 Technical Preview
       Sorry, it looks like this PC can't run Windows 10 Technical Preview. This might be because the Users or Program Files folder is being redirected to another partition.
    Closing the overlay and returning to the "Update & recovery" screen, I see the error in red: Failed to install the new preview build, please try again later 0xC1900204

    Hi Isilverman,
    As we have Windows 10 install Media available at hand, might we consider to do a dual boot of Windows 10 and Windows 8.1?
    Based on the information you posted, it seems to be that the current Windows 8.1 environment is not suitable to do an Upgrade.
    Another thing I would like to share is the information listed in the thread below:
    Problems with disk space and installation time in builds 10041
    and 10049 of Windows 10 Technical Preview
    Best regards
