Phase wise control

Hello All
We have a key requirement to have phase wise control. Unlike any IT Organization, our project cycle moves from one phase to another and has predefined set of activities to be done when exiting phase. We created all phases as Top tasks on our projects ,when phase/top task is completed system need to check if set activities are done and also restrict cost bokking
I understand there is no task status control unlike project status control in Oracle Projects. Can some one help a way to achieve this.

Hi
You may enable the deliverables on the workplan. For each task enter the list of deliverables, which will represent the activities you want to check for completion.
The project manager will need to update the progress on those deliverables, and that way you will know if and when the task is completed.
For cost control you may utilize the transaction control client extension. You can develop with in that client extension the logic to check if the task has completed all its deliverables. In such case new expenditures will not be allowed on that task.

Single phase inverter controlled by compactRIO

Hi guys, I am conducting my application which need a single phase grid-tie inverter. I want to find a custimized or commercialized single-phase grid-interactive inverter which allow the user to define the control algorithms. I wish I can controll this inverter on Real Time by my CRIO since I have already get these analog/digital I/O modules with my CRIO.
Do you guys any any recommendation for which inverter I can find to achieve this kind of function? or any other suggestion for my application.
BTW, I read there's some NI product called NI Single-Board RIO General Purpose Inverter Controller. Is that one have some specific function for inverter which CRIO doesn't have or it is just a single-board RIO which has similar function with a normal CRIO?

The functionality of the Single-Board General-Purpose Inverter Controller (GPIC) is defined by the code deployed to the hardware and may in fact, be used with a normal CompactRIO. Link between phase and control plan

Scheduling phase wise

Hi every body,
From order creation stage to final payment in external procurement, i need to Plan the schedule phase like advance, paymnt, and downpayment. This should be validated at the transactional posting level. And list of dates on which you
wish to create and then pay the invoices. my requirement is possible in Invoice Planning. If possible , What are the steps required for the scenario.

A/C three Phase motor control using 1/4 bridge Load Cell output and a USB 9172 Daq

NI Assistant,
I am tasked with setting up a Motion Control using two each OMEGA LC712-100K, -50K and -10K load cells to monitor the cable tension on six A/C motor driven winches. I also need to Monitor and calculate a Moment as well as the load slope for Load verses Time.
I have zero time to develop and I have searched your databases for existing Motor Controls to modify.
Should I use Case Structures and then place them in a while loop?
I setup a drawing in Word to visually define the task.

Hi Patrick,
The reason why the Motion Control examples will not work for you is beacuse they are meant to be used with the NI Motion boards. Since you are using DAQ boards, the examples are probably not going to be able to help you too much. However, there is one example on the community that might be a place for you to start.

SCR Phase Angle control

Hi All,
I'm trying to produce a chopped sine wave to simulate an SCR controlling
mains voltage. The output
only needs to be a few volts with an positive offset.
I've thought of making a table of normalized values to represent the fixed
frequency sine wave(50Hz)
and to switch the output to a fixed level(offset) below a certain output
value. That way I can control
the trigger angle. Of course the trigger is reset when passing through the
offset value.
I'm I on the right track here or is there an easier way with a prebuilt VM?

You should be able to get good results with your technique. (You're essentially doing a poor-man's
Direct Digital Sythesis, when reading a pre-constructed table like you are doing) Another way to do this is generate a sine wave, using one of the sine generator vi's and then run it through a series of comparators (use comparison primitive) each with a different threshold. Add the values of each comparator output, and voila, this is your stepped wave. In this manner, you are simulating a "flash" A/D convertor.
Another way to do this, is to run a square wave generator (say at 400Hz) and MULTIPLY this by a sine wave at 50 Hz. This will give you a Sine wave modulated square wave, (or vice versa, since mathematically, they are identical!)

I have report secenario like this , a columne has 3 rows, but each row as a calculation

row3 row3 by using union function i am getting columns as rows .In column1 - row1,row2 and row3 has hard code information and column2 row1,row2,row3 has value from tables. Now i need to change the value in column2 row3 dynamically and background color also .How to acheive this Please suggest me in right way.

How to connect two phases in the phases in one PI sheet. ?

Hi Gurus ,
I have created one control recipe for the one material . In which one operation & two phases are there. For the two phases different control recipe destinations are used.
But when i am creationg process order , two PI SHEETs are creating having same process order no for the two different phases.
My requirement in one PI SHEET both the phases should be included.
So please reply me .

Hy Abhi,
Answer is already there in your Question itself.
For the two phases different control recipe destinations are used.
system will generates control recipe Control Recipe wise for a Process order.Meaning is if your Master Recipe / Process order contains 2 Control Recipe Destination then system will generates 2 Control Recipe.which contains the related PI category assign to that relevant phases.
So if You want only one control Recipe then you have to use only one Destination in your Master Recipe / Process order.

Hi why do we use phases.
"Phases are used for scheduling, determining capacity requirements, and costing. The
dates and capacity requirements for operations are derived from the corresponding
phases."
This is what I found in help. all this can be done using a regular operation.
what is the specefic reason in assiglning Process instructions to Phases insted of assigning them to regular operations.

Phases concept use in proces indusrry like chemicasl , pharma ,food ,petrolieum industry .
In this industry operation is overall activity you are doing in one resource & then their are phases in which you can define actual activity you are doing like charging of raw material ,temprature maantainence ,distillation .Seperation .All this activity require different timings & also capturing different activity cost like seam,power ,cooling water ,brine.
Many time client want to capture timings & activity to capture phase wise theirfore it is mandatory in SAP .
Even if you are doing only one activity in operation you have to create phase in recipe.is amust to capture timings & activity cost.
After adding phases you can be able to schedule the order ,capacity calculation
You have to give phase relation to this phase in recipe to schedule the order during creation of order.

Ans:- Thru report painter T-code FGI4 (Form) & Report FGI1 using cutomer summary table we can define report, which shall give the desired requirement. It give customer wise & controll account wise balances.

Ans. F.13 is used for GL automatic clearing basing on the required config for GL . Like GR/IR clearing is there in automatic posting we have to define COA, GL & creteria1, creteria2 ..... Incase of GR/IR field name can be VBUND (Purchase order). When configure this in F.13 when we check the check box GR/IR and GL system shall look for setting for automatic clearing based on creteria it shall automatically clear.
4. how to reset the T-code f.32 clearing documents, if wrongly showing in customer balance
Ans. To reset a claerinf document Tcode is FBRA. Reset the clearing doc first and reverse the doc Tcode FB08.

I Need all Documentation Templates / Blank Formats during 5 phases of SAP

Hi Friends,
When we just start SAP implementation afresh. Then we also keep doing lots of documentation (and that too according to what & how SAP suggests). This we do in a phase-wise and in a proper systematic order.
I need all those blank forms or formats or templates (whatever we call them) which are used from PreProject survey / study / analysis to Project-Preparation to BluePrinting to Project-Realization uptill Go-Live phase.
These templates / Blank Formats are in MS-Word or MS-Excel sheets.
I need all these documents templates / Blank Formats because they contain relevant fields to fill-in while implementing an SAP Project.
Can anybody please provide me all those Templates / Blank Documents because I do not have access to SAP Sevice MarketPlace NOR to SAP Solution Manager.
I will definitely give full points at my disposal.

Basically your shift definition is for capacity planning/scheduling in the desired way
Create a process order ,Hope you would have also maintained your recipe with timings

The proces order will be scheduled(<b>at the time of order creation</b>) as per the timings mentioned in the recipe & the shift definition in the resource
Then you do phase wise confirmation-Time ticket/Time event
As per your reply what i understand is that in 3 shifts your process order will get over
So your shift supervisor will confirm accordingly

ISPC control limit alignment

Hello,
I am using an iSPC chart and feeding in my own control limits. I have multiple (up to three) phases of control limit data, each with varying center lines, UCL and LCL's. I have two problems.
1) The control limits seem to be plotted before their corresponding point. By this I mean, the control limit's for a particular point are plotted in the space between that point and the previous point. I have included a link to a screen shot showing this. The point is circled in green and the control limit data for that point is also circled in green. What we would like is to have the point placed between the two tick parks, and the control limit lines centered between the ticks. Another way to look at it is the point would be centered above/below the corresponding control limit dash.
2) There appears to be no control limits on the chart for our first point, 12/31/2007. I have circled this in red.

Are you using the Auto-Calculate control limits since the posted dataset has NA set for the values which would be why they are not plotting? What is your subgroup size set to for the chart?
I know that in the next SP for v12.0, SPS 9, there is a newly added field around the centering a lines and control limit plotting. The field is a checkbox located in the General tab and is called "Center Control Limit Lines on Points" in order to resolve a similar issue.

I need some help. I gonna control the speed of DC motor, so I gonna use a single-phase fully controlled bridge rectifier. I have a NI USB-6008, with it a goona make the pulses to the scr's; so I need to know how can I synchronize this pulses with the frecuency of the source??, and how can I move this pulses to vary the speed?.

If you can find the zero cross, you can synchronize your pulses, wherever you want as the frequency is stable, 50 Hz (or 60Hz).
You just measure time inside one half-period. Then another zero cross will occur, and you restart measuring time.
The only thing i am not sure, is that you probably need a real-time software to do that. If you rely on windows... you will have problems, for sure...

Control budgets through IM

Hi all,
I'm using investment management through internal Orders
I'm giving Overall and year wise budget values differently in IM32
for e.g overall 100000 and for 2010 40000, for 2011 60000
when i posting the document it is controlling Overall budget value i.e if posted value is more than 100000 then it is giving error message as per my settings but it is not controlling year wise i.e for 40000
my question is there any settings to be made to get the year wise budget control instead of Overall budget control.
for overall budget value there is no problem for getting controls but i need year wise control

need to deselect Overall check box if Annual budget is to be controlled
if we select overall check box then it will controlled only overall figures
