Photoshop CC just died

I had 3 updates through the so-called cloud.  They were bridge CC, Photoshop CC and an extension mgr update to CS6.  After installing the updates Photoshop CC no longer works.  It boots up but all selections do nothing.  Even closing PS cc won't work.  Whats's going on??

Something might have gotten corrupted, no telling where. So a clean uninstall and reinstall is the quickest path.
Go to the Control Panel > Programs and Features and do a complete uninstall of Photoshop and Bridge CC including preferences.
Reboot, then reinstall.

My phone just died. My sleep/wake button is also broken and i have been using assist to turn put the phone to sleep. How do i see if it really is dead and get it turned back on. Its on

Hey neigh.oink and btacres thanks for the replies.
so I tried that link you posted, i tried connecting it to a wall plug and it turned back on but there's no signal. it just says searching and the wifi isn't working, as in, it doesn't give me the option to turn on the wifi... also, when i disconnected it from the wall plug it died again and didn't turn back on (despite the battery being 100%)..
This is really odd because I had the battery replaced last month...
I still don't know what to do.. it won't respond when I connect it to my laptop to restore it either!!
It's sad that I'm so dependent on my phone but I feel so helpless without it!

  • Creative Cloud is taking too much time to load and is not downloading the one month trial for Photoshop I just paid money for.

stop the download if it's stalled, and restart your download.

  • HT1661 My mid-2009 MacBook Pro has just died via a painful (for me) hard drive failure. I backed up a good percentage of files recently but not enough to keep me happy.  I need to access the dead drive on the MBP via a 2008 iMac. Best options?

I have ordered a 800 firewire to 800 firewire cable and am hoping to use the target mode option to copy files from the MBP.
    Is this possible?
    Hope so!
Any advice and or help would be greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks,
    Neil

    Thanks Ogelthorpe.
Just bought an enclosure to try that also.
Hoping the MBP isn't really dead but just feigning death
    Fingers crossed.

The iPhone is not a backup device.
Restore the iTunes library from the backup that should be kept of your media and other important files.
Syncing the iPhone to a new library (in this case, it will be a new library unless you have a complete backup of the iTunes folder pre-crash) will result in the media on the device being removed and replaced with content from the new library.
As for iOS5, we really do not know until Apple officially releases it.

My 24" iMac just died and will not power-up.  What can I do?

Bring it into an Apple Store for a free diagnosis and quote for cost of repair/replacement of parts.
If the costs are $500 or over, consider using the money toward a new or "newer" (used) Mac.

    Try:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
You are not address ing Apple here. We are just users like yourself.
I also requested that Apple remove your email and text number.

Make sure it is charged for about 10min using the adapter, then connect in recovery mode, explained in this article:

  • My late-2009 27inch iMac just died

My late-2009 27 inch iMac just died. Or something
I was working with iPhoto, trying to crop a photo, and the curser worked but that affected nothing on the screen.
So, I tried to FORCE QUIT with the keyboard, and nothing.
So, I held the ON button down until the computer shut down.
Then, sadly. It will not start.
I unplugged it, waited 10 minutes, plugged it and tried to turn it on again, nothing. Does not respond to the ON button.
    Help?

Out of the black, it started up again.
    Thanks anyway.

  • IMac just died on me. Need to recover the data.

A friend of mine has a blue looking fruit iMac 600MHz, 256MB, and a CDRW, which just died and it made this 'click' noise when you press the power button.
I'm guessing it is the power supply and it there a way to reset the power? I heard it is next to the RAM slot?
Anyway, the most important is that I must recover the data off the hard drive, which I have successfully removed.
Do I need some kind of Mac viewer in order to see the content in the hard drive under Windows XP?

I don't know XP. Someone in this forum might know:
    http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=687
How full is your hard drive? That may be affecting its ability to transfer data.
And you can't transfer the entire home folder to a PC formatted drive. You can do the Movies, Music or Pictures folder, and your personal data files you created yourself, but not the Library folder. I would attempt to fix what is breaking your Mac rather than try to backup to a thumb drive, and better to recover to a Mac formatted external hard drive with Prosoft Data Rescue:
    http://www.prosofteng.com/
And if that doesn't make for usable data with Media Four's MacDrive
    http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive6/
Use Alsoft Disk Warrior 3.0.3 on the drive.
If booted off Prosoft Data Rescue or Disk Warrior with nothing but an external hard drive, Apple mouse and keyboard you get a crash, that says your machine has a hardware problem. That will need to be fixed before you can recover any data.

  • Help! Phone just died

Hope someone can help! My phone has just died. I had this morning and using it fine and then just died, my sign of life, charger makes no difference. It was just in my bag, nothing spilt on it, not dropped, nothing! Literally just died... Help!

I had this same problem this morning with my iPhone 5S and, seeing your post solved my problem.  Didn't know about holding down both buttons.  THANK YOU!!!!!

  • My time capsule just died!

My time capsule just died, and I can't find a way to power it back on again. I know it's not the power source, since I tried other plugs. I've had it for about 2 years. Any idea what's going on/what I should do?

I called them this morning. Admits my allergies and sneezing I was able to talk to them.
They will replace it with basically no questions asked.
I guess also having a MBP under AppleCare also helped too as the case is registered under that.
They gave me a few options.
The could take my credit card number as insurance and send me a new one and them I send them my dead one back, or I could take it into an Apple Store for a replacement there. The problem is that I have data on there that I want to maintain, so they said take it to the Apple Store or an Apple Service provider and they would handle the transfer.
I have a Service Provider that I know that could do the transfer for me, but that might take more time than if I go to the Apple Store when we go on holidays.
So I need to weigh my options.
I’ll let you know further what happens.
P.S. my serial number was not in the range listed, but that didn’t seem to make a difference. I think the key is to be courteous and friendly.

Take it back to the Apple Store for repair since it's still in warranty.

  • Captivate 7 just died

I've been using Captivate 7 for about three weeks, but yesterday it just died. When I execute the application file there is nothing happening at all. I have started Task Manager and it seems that the process runs for about half a second before disappearing. I cannot use the project file either as the same thing happens. I am running Captivate 7 on a Windows XP PC with a 500Gb HDD, 4Gb ram and a LAN connection. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it to no avail, and frankly, the Adobe Technical Support is pretty dire. Has anyone else here suffered a catastrophic failure of Ver 7, if so, did they resolve it and how.
I have all my project files locally as I know the issues when saving over a network.
    Thanks

I had this happen on an XP machine and Adobe help said CP7 wasn't meant to be used on an XP machine.  Also did you activate your software?  If you've just been logging in without activating it your time is up and you'll need them to help you activate it.  We had problems with activation and had it quit working after about 3 weeks.
