PI 7.1. Setup Abap user to access Java tools

Hi gurus!
I need your help, I'm working with a new PI instalation, and we have 2 types of user, one Java user with their password, and other ABAP user with their password. When I try to access to repository or directory, I must to use Java user, but in the other PI system, this is not so, I only use ABAP user for all things.
In this system, I need keep roles in abap stack and java stack, and think this is not optimal.
How I can synchronize the two types of users for only use the ABAP user to all things?

Simple....assign the *_J2EE roles to your ABAP user....more information on the roles required can be taken from

We normally create only one user and then assign ABAP and JAVA roles to it.

Additionally, if you would use it nevertheless at your own risk, be careful with granting read permissions to whole tables as you might easily end up there with disclosing confidential or privacy data.
In general, function modules of this type that read arbitrary SAP tables are regarded as a security threat by a responsible administrator and you might not get the permission for it at all.
In my personal opinion, I would classify most software that require the availability of the function module RFC_READ_TABLE to have a major design bug. At least I would not bet on that the developer for this really understood the difference between a database and an ERP system. It is always the recommended way to use specialized function modules for reading data from and even more for storing data into an ERP. Specialized modules normally do not go around fine-grained authorization checks and/or destroy the consistency of the stored data.

ABAP User Roles and Query for accessing particular T- codes and Reports

I have one problem, i want to know about ABAP User Query ,i have one requirement my user wants to Lock all the HR Std versus Customized reports in T- code SQ01,other department peoples also see the Payslips and Hr personal reports which is harmfull to the dept so i want to Lock all the reports in Std T- code in SQ01 and i have created one Customized User Roles or Query in which the T-codes and Reports are assigned only those particular user can access the T-codes and Std reports .how can it be possible i dont have any idea about user roles and Queries .

Anyone can access any iCloud account if they know the login and the password. Assuming that you and the others concerned already have iCloud accounts with separate logins you could create a new Apple ID, use it to create a new iCloud account and then everyone would log into it in System Preferences>Mail, Contacts and Calendars so that its contents would appear alongside the individual 'Primary' accounts. If they don't have their own iCloud accounts they can sign in in System Preferences>iCloud, of course.
You can enable the particular types of data syncing you want to carry out, but be aware that iCloud isn't designed for multi-person use, and basically everyone has full access to the account as if it was their own.

Setup Multi-users on new Intel Mac Mini

Hello all
I am an XP PC user investigating whether to purchase a new Intel based Dual core Mac Mini.
Can someone help with the following questions please.
1) I have a family using our current XP based PC and each has their own user login.
Can I setup multiple users on the Mac Mini so they would each have their own login ?
2) I would like my wife to have her own email account as well as me.
Can this also be setup on the new Mac Mini ?

To clear things up a little for you:
1) Yes you can setup individual logins - as many as you need in fact. Each seperate account has its own "directory" on the hard drive which is safe and secure to stop any prying eyes. You can also customize it just like you would Windows XP however there are tons of extra features to hand. You can set parental controls with the click of a button and you can even prevent the kids / teens from messing up the configurations by restricting what they can access through their user areas.
2) OS X Boasts Mail which is Apples tidier equivelant to Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express if you like. It can handle multiple accounts with different service providers just so long as you have the POP and SMTP addresses for your providers email server, and your email address and password to hand.
If you only have one email account between the two of you and you feel that you can work well with it, then you can effectively direct emails to one another by creating "Smart Mailboxes" which split any incoming emails to that one address, into criteria organised folders i.e. one with emails related to you, one with emails related to your wife.

Cannot print checks "while another user is accessing the account"

I am trying to print couple of checks but I receive this message:
u201CCannot print while another user is accessing the account message [854-235]u201D
I check there is no one using the system just me and still same issue.

Please check where your printing has been locked under house bank setting .
Here you go in detail
You are requested to please check Note no 957329 regarding your issue.
The following steps should be performed:
1. Click on Administration -> Setup -> Banking -> House Bank Accounts
2. Scroll to right hand side of screen for column Lock Checks Printing
3. Untick the box
When trying to print a check you should now no longer recieve the error
message.

How do I set a user to access with ftp to his/her website folder ?

I am new to MacOSX
I come from Linux Server administrated with Virtualmin
I was able to setup with SLP 10.6.8
Now everything works but ftp ...
I want to do this:
1) web site domain1 = OK
2) mail user@domain1 = OK
3) mysql access user(domain1) = OK
---> 4) ftp user(domain1) = home web site domain1 = NOT OK ! <---
How to tell server to let user(domain1) access throught ftp and jump into his/her home site folder ?
This is necessary for me to grant access to his/her site home and upload, modify stuffs etc ...
Also I am using cms like Drupal, Wordpress and so on that can upload and install upgrades via web admin panel and with MacOSX isn't working !
Gimme some hints please Server Admin is too poor and I had to manually add user and link to relative services ... now i am stuck on ftp ...

It is in the process of being disabled. It will likely be some time next week before the code will be reverted.

Time Capsule: Windows user could access all folders in TC

I have a new TimeCapsule (TC) 1 TB, 2 MBPs (latest Mac OS X) and 2 PCs - 1 runs XP and other runs Vista.
I had setup TC as NAS, allow users to access TC using account.
Each user in MBPs can access their folder and shared folder only, so it is fine.
Same for windows users, they can access their folders and shared folder only.
However I found that, if the windows user has the windows administrator privilege and has windows account password as same as TC disk password, then after logged-in windows machine, this user can access TC using Run:\\TCname then he/she can see all folders in TC and has read/write privilege on these folders. TC does not ask for any password (as long as the user has logged-in their windows machine) nor stop the user to access any folder in TC.
Is anybody has the same problem ? Or you can try yourself and see if it happens on your system ?
Apple: can you fix this, this is unwanted "feature" ?

SMB is blocked by every responsible ISP. As indeed it has to be due to the level of unprotected shares on computers on the internet.
If the TC is the main router.. and you have port forwarded SMB ports wan to lan.. be thankful your ISP has blocked it so your files and network are not hacked.
The right way to do this is a vpn router.. with the TC working as bridged device on the network.
Windows does not offer AFP which is the only other protocol Apple offer in the TC and is the only one exposed to internet.

ABAP Users not reflecting on JAVA Users in portal

Concerning the issue, please perform the following steps:
1) Start the SAP NetWeaver Administrator.
2) Choose Operation Management -> Users and Access -> Identity Management .
3) Assign the role LcrAdministrator to the groups SAP_J2EE_ADMIN and SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR.
4) Assign the role LcrUser to the groups SAP_J2EE_GUEST and SAP_SLD_GUEST.

Need help getting multiple user accounts access an app and its data

Hello All,
We recently got a new iMAC. We set up 3 user accounts in it. Two are admin accounts (one for me and one for my husband). The third is a user account with parental controls turned on (for our kid). Here is the basic setup:
1. Accnt1 - admin
2. Accnt2 - admin
3. Accnt3 - user
Now, I installed the complete national geographic application on the iMAC along with all the data. This is a 6 CD set that took several hours to install. I installed it logged in with Accnt1 (please see above). This installed all the data (150 years worth of data) onto the Documents folder for Accnt1.
The installation was successful and when I launch the application, I can view all the data from Accnt1.
So what is the problem? I tried logging in from Accnt2 and Accnt3. While the applciation is visible and will launch from both those user profiles, no data gets displayed. My guess is that this is because the data from the 6 CD's got installed onto the Documents folder for Accnt1 which is not viewable/accessible from Accnt2 and Accnt3. Therefore, nothing gets displayed.
How do I fix this issue without reinstalling the software so that ALL 3 user accounts on my iMac can access the application AND its data?
My guess is that I will have to provide user permissions/access to the Documents folder for Accnt1 such that both Accnt2 and Accnt3 are read/write. I tried to do that via the Finder and 'More info' operation wherein I click on the tiny lock icon at the bottom of the screen and add Accnt2 and Accnt3 as read/write. But this does not fix the problem for ALL folders further down and I dont want to fix each and every folder.
Is there a quick way to resolve this problem? Can I fix this issue via a terminal window with a command?

Move the data folder out of A's documents folder and into /Users/Shared. Then, control-option-command-drag the data folder from its new location back to its original location in A's documents folder. This makes an alias. Log in to the other user accounts and repeat the process for making aliases, to each user's Documents folder.
You might also contact the developer and politely suggest that they learn how to write programs properly for Mac OS X.

How to restrict the user from accessing other screens before submittingdata

I have some screens developed in Webdynpro ABAP and all these have been linked to Portal as pages. In Portal If i click on the link in detailed navigation i can see the corresponding screen on the right side. Now in one screen i have to input some data and submit the data, Now my problem is if i enter some data and before submitting the data if i click on any other link in the detailed navigation, that corresponding screen is opening and all the data of the previous screen is lost.
Can any one suggest me, how can i restrict the user from accessing other screens before submitting the data of that screen from portal perspective.

The pages can be restricted from the user access by using the ACL permission or you can restrict the page by making invisible in navigation area which you do not want to show to the user . Open the page properties and select navigation category in the drop down and select the Invisible in navigation area property to yes.By default this property is No.Change the property for all pcd pages which want to hide from user access.

Create ABAP user in IDM UI

Hello all,
I have the below error while create abap user in IDM UI, this is new IDM demo setup, user delete/modify, password update, role assignment working as expected.
create user provisioning hit error on prepare provisioning phase. I can see from the log missing mx_attribute_name but not sure what it is.
i went through the SCN but couldnt get much info on missing attibute basically I am not an IDM developer, really appreciate if some one help me solve this error.

Prevent a user from accessing Cube Navigator

Is it possible to prevent a user from accessing the cube navigator in Analyzer so the user can only view reports that are setup? thanks

In Analyzer 6.2, there are some 'behind the scenes' parameters that can be added to suppress menu items. If you are currently using Analyzer 6.2, try adding the following parameter to your applet tag:<PARAM NAME = HideNav VALUE ="True">Note: this will hide the Navigate button for all users accessing the page.

Is there an app or way for multiple users to access contact info?

We are a small business that maintains a contact list of leads and clients in a MS word file. We can access those word files via our iphones, but only view them. Is there an app or way to have one person in the office maintain a database of leads and clients that a few users can access via iphone and simply touch the phone number to call them or touch the address for directions/map?
We know we could each input the info in each of our phones independently, but that is dumb - given someone in the office maintains such info as part of their job and updates it weekly/monthly whatever. Do you see what I mean? I cannot believe there is nothing out there for this.
Basically we are looking for a continuously updatable, multiple user, remotely accessible, interactive contact database with name, address, and phone number. I think that is what I would call it.

Ditto. Guest accounts shouldn't have a password. No way to enter one in System Prefs...
