Pictures scale up to view

I am trying to get the pictures in my photo gallery on my site i am building to go from thumbnail size to 3 times its size how would i do that.
my site is www.replacementwindowsct.net
thanks jim

This is all about causing a page to load quickly by optimizing what you are going to send to the computer that is looking at your website over the Internet (which may be pretty slow). So, essentially, you load thumbnails at small size with the page that has lots of those thumbnails, then you send the large version of the photo—but only as requested.
End result, fast page loads.
With these jQuery presentations, they are really good at optimizing the transfer of data. So the big pictures get cached in advance of them showing them. I've always thought that was pretty cool.
It's like doing a rollover and caching the image that the rollover changes to.

  • Pictures duplicated in "moments" view

On my iPad2 (iOS8), when viewing pictures in the "moments" view, all of the pictures taken last 4 months show up as duplicates. The pictures are not really duplicated, in "collections" or "year" they do not show as duplicates. Why is this?

Try this basic fix: trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
    *What's the plist file?*
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.

  • Removal of Colour Scale & Percentage of View from The Label to Print

I am having a dilemma with Photoshop CS4!!
I can't figure out how to get rid of the Colour Scale & Percentage
at which I'm viewing the photograph.
It sits at the top of the window which contains the image I have
open, and contains the File Name, Colour Scale & Percentage of View.
Though, it would say a percentage & RGB for example at the end of the file name when I print it.
I need to reproduce these images for photo albums, not only for the
museum I work at but externally as well.
I have been trying to figure this out even on the Photoshop Website for help, however to no avail.
Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
    Kind regards
    Alison

Well, first off someone might yet be forthcoming with a direct solution for Your problem.
But if none should turn up: One can control Photoshop on Mac via AppleScript or JavaScript, basically like Actions with a bit extra – in this case the inclusion of document-specific data like the name etc.
Should You decide to pursue this option »Adobe Intro To Scripting.pdf«, »Photoshop CS4 Scripting Guide.pdf« and the Sample Scripts (should all have been installed with Photoshop) offer a good starting point and one can always ask for advice on the Photoshop Scripting Forum –maybe someone already has a Script for this task.

  • Flash image viewer, picture scale problem in CS3

Please someone help me. I have built a website 3 years ago, and I still have this problem. In CS3 I added a flash image viewer (slideshow.swf) as a slideshow to show gardens we have made. When you first visit the site and look at the pictures (wich are bigger than the viewer window because of picture quality issues) they don`t shrink to fit into the viewer window, you only end up seeing a fraction of them. But when they download and you go back to see them again a second later, they become the right size. It also swiches to the right size when the loop play gets back to the first pic again.
In the flash element properties I tried the different scale settings, and looked at other settings too but I couldn`t make it work.
I think making the viewer window as large as the pictures, would look odd. Maybe buying on other slideshow program to insert into dreamweaver would work.
If you would like to see the site its: tsugagardens.com , than look in the photo gallery and after the pics download go back with the back button and see the difference in the pics.
    Thank you for your efforts,
    Tibor

  • Issues with using my iPhoto library on my external hard drive.  Very slow to open and pictures disappear in thumbnail view.

I have recently transferred my iPhoto Library to my external hard drive (WD MyBook Live) and have some questions.  Since I have done this and used the "alt + option" to select it as my default library I have been having some issues.  When using the library on the external drive as my default drive it takes a very long time to load compared to when it was on my macbook's hard drive. Is this normal?  Also, once it does load the thumbnails are only viewable when scrolling quickly through the photos and they are very blurry.  However, if I were to select one randomly (because of this problem I have no way of knowing which one I'm selecting) it brings it up in the edit view and it is a crystal clear picture.
Is there a way to fix these issues?  I'd love to be able to use the iPhoto Library off the external drive to free up space on my macbook but if it isn't going to work as streamlined as it would on my macbook hard drive.  I have not yet deleted the original iPhoto Library from my macbook because I did not want to do so until I knew the new iPhoto library on the external drive was working properly.  Does this make a difference?
    Please help!

The problem lies with occasional dropouts that can corrupt the library's database files if they are being written to as the time of dropout.  It's the nature of wireless networks.  If you have a very strong signal throughout and are willing to take a chance then go for it.
But as for the speed, it must be iPhoto 11 and it's complexity causing the slowness. I had tried using a library on an EHD connected to my iMac from my laptop wirelessly with iPhoto 7 or 8 and it was pretty fast.  I think it was 7 before faces and places came into being.
Send a feature request to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html to improve wireless performance, etc.

  • Gif file opening through MS Picture Mgr instead of viewer

    Hi,
We have gif files displaying in MS Picture viewer instead of  ECL viewer in sap.
The bmp files are opening in ECL viewer.
Please help in what needs to be done.
    Anirudh,

    Dear Anirudh,
please check if you have installed the ECL Viewer properly. Please see the SAP note <a href="https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1083901">1083901</a> and install the latest available version 6.
Before I would like to ask you, to uninstall your former ECL
Viewer before you installed Version 6? To check if the ECL Viewer is
un-installed please search for WebViewer2d.dll file. If it is present
then it means ECL Viewer is still installed on your PC. You can also
check the folders and should be able to see all the dll's for ECL Viewer
such WebViewer3d.dll/Printing.dll etc to make sure that there is not
only single file but the whole installation.
Generally there are two possibilities to un-install the ECL Viewer:
    - Uninstall the version integrated with SAP GUI by using SAP
Installation scripts. You need to uncheck the 'EAI Viewer' component in
    'General Add-on' option.
    - Check add/remove program and if there is an entry like SAP Viewer,
    uninstall it.
After this search again, and you should not get WebViewer2d.dll file on
machine. Now reinstall the latest Viewer.
    Best regards,
    Christoph

  • Whenever i go to open a picture message in full view the black loading screen just comes up with no picture? (verizon iphone 5)

I have a 32gig iphone 5 on verizon and whenever i go to open a picture message the black screen that says loading just comes up and i can't view the picture... any help? PLEASE!

Try using the wall charger to charge your iPhone.  Some USB ports do not enough power to charge your phone, or at the very least, it will take a much longer time than a wall charger.
You will find that after having it plugged into the wall for 10min, it will have enough power to indicate that the battery is now charging.
Save your money from buying a battery for your next iPhone  :-)

Has anyone had a problem when uploading pictures into Iphone?  My problem is when viewing certain pictures I get like a triangle with an explanation point in the middle.  Any suggestions to fix this?

  • How do I set the default x-axis scale in DIAdem View?

    Hi everyone:
I look at large amounts of data (i.e. many different data files every day), and I am trying to load and view them quickly and efficiently. Currently, when I have data sets loaded in the "Structure" tab, and I click and drag a numeric channel over to the 2-D plot, DIAdam automatically scales the x-axis from 0 to 60, when the numeric channels can be anywhere from 50 000 to 100 000 entries long. I now use the roller on my mouse to zoom out for five minutes before seeing the entire data set. My question is is there a way to re-set the default x-axis scaling so I do not have to zoom out each time I plot a numeric channel?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hello Peter!,
The DIAdem VIEW windows will always auto-scale to the full range of the values on the X-axis when you drag data into a new window.
You have several options on how to quickly get to the range of data you wish to see.
Right click on the LEFT edge of the data you wish to zoom into, HOLD the mouse right mouse button and DRAG the mouse to the right side of the section you wish to zoom into. DIAdem will automatically show the section you have selected in a zoomed view in that same window
    Result:
Alternatively, you can double click on the VIEW window and check the "Manual X-Scaling" box and then enter the exact values you wish to zoom into
Also, you could use the Band Cursor from the toolbar, move and resize the Band in the VIEW window and then use the "Scroll in Cursor Range" icon to zoom into the area of the curve you are interested in.
These are just a few ways you should be able to accomplish what you have described in your post.

  • I cannot open my pictures in iphoto to view them larger

Since updating to the new iPhoto, I cannot figure out how to open my thumbnail photos. It is so frustrating. I tap, I click, I double-tap and double-click, I right tap and right click...nothing. Can someone help me figure out this stupid issue? I feel like an idiot but I know I am not doing anything wrong. I just want to view my photos larger!!!!

Well, when I go to click on an individual picture that is in my photos section, nothing happens. It won't even open up all of my pictures when I go to click on an event in the event section either. The picture gets highlighted but it won't open up into a bigger view or open the events folder to view other pictures within that event. I tried double clicking, tapping, everything. I tried to look on iPhoto Help, but there is nothing about this. I don't know why this is becoming such a problem. I can open other things on my computer just fine when I tap or click on it.

  • Design right alignings and scales down when viewed on ipad

    Hi,

On the web, less is defintely more.
First main image is 1,009.38 KB (1,033,604 bytes) in file size.
Nobody wants to download a 1MB image if they don't need to.  Especially people on mobile devices who may be paying through the nose for bandwidth.
I would suggest limiting yourself to 6-9 thumbnail size images per page and optimizing them in PShop with Save for Web properties.   You'll need to sacrifice a bit on quality to keep file size to a minimum.  I like to keep thumbnails around 20KB and full size images under 100KB.
You could then deploy a modal window viewer like Fancybox to display larger images on click/touch.

  • How do I view all my pictures in Photo Library View?

I have over 4,000 photos. They are all viewable in various libraries but NOT the Photos library. I can only see a few hundred in there.
See a screen shot here http://dl.dropbox.com/u/978197/Aperture-03.jpg
    Thanks =)

I too have had the same issue. I can not see any of my pics in "photo" view. As far as I can tell no filter is set. I solved the problem by creating a folder and putting all of my projects and folders into it. It then has become my work around "photo" folder. All my pictures are stored in the Aperture library. I trashed my aperture.plist file and restarted. Didn't help. Pictures show up in all other projects or folders. Seems to be an odd quirk. But I guess I don't need it now!

  • How to enlarge pictures and change reading view

I've bought an ebook which should contain large Excel screenshots and text. According to the description it should be in 2 columns, one for text and one for screenshots. I can see the text and enlarge it, but the screenshot pictures are very small and I can't see what they're supposed to be. This is just on a regular sized laptop. I searched for the reading view icons that are supposed to be there, hoping I could fix it by changing it to a 2 page view or another alternative view. For some reason I don't see the reading view icons either. Could anyone tell me how to enlarge these screenshot images, and how to change my reading view and find my icons?

You need to look at Lightbox for that effect: - includes instructions on how to use it.

When i open the pictures tab of a group the oldest pictures are displayed first. On the device the newest are displayed first, this should be adjusted accordingly.
When i open a picture posted in a BBM group with Blend i cannot find any way to view the whole picture. It shows 50% picture and 50% comment area. On a device i can douple-tap the picture to open it fully, but that does not work within Blend.

  • Pictures are bright when viewed in photoshop

I have a couple of computers with calibrated monitors (Huey for both xp and vista). So if I view a photo in photoshop elements (4 and 7 and also ACR as I import DNG's) the picture is brighter than any other applications I view it in (iview, canon's digital photoshop pro, safari, ie7 etc) and the print (using canon printer, paper, ink and profile).
They are brighter even when displayed side by side with the other application running at the same time. Adobe gamma shows up in the control panel but I do not have it in the start folder. I have spent about a week searching around the web and found other people with this problem but no answer.
Currently I solve it by doing adjustments in ACR then just before bringing it in I bring the blacks lighter by 3 points. In photoshop I have a layers level at the top of the stack and have the black marker up 5 points. Just before I output to a file or print I turn that layer off. This gives me comparible results but it does not feel like the right solution.
    Any ideas?
    Tony

I have also observed the same and the reason is processing algorithm of each software is different for Camera-Raw Files.
Since Camera-Raw files are raw information which is processed by each software in different ways.
I have obsrved that results are better in ACR sometimes and in opposite way...
Its better to get JPG through the application where you are getting good view. Also you need to some experiments to conclude something. I use Nikon D200 and normally process my files in PSE-ACR. Rarely process them in Nikon-NX
When I shoot in NEF+JPG in Camera, I get different previews in PSE due to the same reason. But I find it useful...
