Planned depreciation not distributed in each month

Hello,
I noticed that for some assets, in AW01N the amount of planned depreciation is not distributed for each month.
For example:
The Planned Depreciation for 2011 is 250000. And the system shows for period 1 (january) 250000 and for all the other period, system shows 0 !
For other assets it works correctly
Any idea ?

Base method : 0007 - Ordinary: percentage from life (after end of life)
Declining-Balance Method: 001 - 0.00x / 0.0000% / 0.0000%
Period Control Method : 002 - 01/01/01/01
Multilevel Method: 008 - 0.0000%
I checked also the asset history and for 2010 was well distributed but i do not find any accounting document related to this asset in any fiscal year !

I have query for planned depreciation.
my company code is having following setting.
1. check "dep to the day" is there.
2. in Fiscal year Variant for the period 7 & 8 the setting is as below.
month day period
8 1 7
8 29 8
so the planned depreciation is not showing in period 8, in period 7 it is showing double (for period 7 & 8). this is the same for posted depreciation also.
please suggest if any setting available for the same.

Why do you have your both periods 7 & 8 setting in the same month 8 ??

Planned depreciation not showing in the AW01n for current FY

Hi Experts,
I have an issue on Planned Depreciation and the issue as below.
I have created an Asset with Dep.start date is 10.05.2011 and my Fiscal year is Jan- Dec with 445 posting periods. I have posted Acquisition with the value of 10,000 through F-90. When i check the Asset Explorer through AW01n its not showing Planned deprecation in the Posted Values tab and in Comparisons tab its showing the Dep. from 2012 onwards till useful life and here in 2012 its showing the dep.value from May to Dec only, and also its not showing Dep.value for 2011 year ( showing blank).
If i post the acquistion in 2010, its showing the depreciation from 2011 onwards and also for 2010 year its not showing any planned deprecation.
In Dep. calculation it means % of dep. and every thing is ok. ( its showing the values as per the % stated in dep.key)
I have posted the same scenario to another company code and its showing planned deprecation for 2011 year.
May i know the missed config settings to view planned depreciation.

Iissue on planned depreciation

Hi All,
I have an asset which has the capitalization date as 01.10.2009 and depreciation start date also as 01.10.2009
I have done the acquisition on 24.01.2011, when i looked at the asset Explorer the planned depreciation is showing for 12 months of 2011,
but i expect it should show from capitalization date (i.e, 01.10.2009).
The multi level method assigned to depreciation key has Validity start "from Capitalization date". but still not showing in Asset explorer.
Please suggest me ..., appreciate your quick response

1. In the standard system, you cant calculate depreciation from 2009 onwards in this case as the fiscal year is already close
2. Opening fiscal years and posting for 2 yrs wont be possible as suggested by Viswanath
3. Either post an unplanned depreciation or Create a Sub-asset and post the new acquisition into it...
Moreover, posting acquisition into an already capitalized asset, that too, after 2 yrs does not seem to be a good accounting practice

I had a problem with subsequest acquisition - after posting depreciation was not distributed equally during follwing months. As Paul and Markus advised per note 92260, the period control method should has been set on "06"(start of year). [here is link on that thread|depreciation calculation after acquistion; This was done and the depreciation amounts are now planned correctly, the only problem is the change in depreciation after acquistion reflected in month of change not in the following month as required.
I mean: i.e. additional acquistion is done in 05/2009, but the depreciation should change from 06/2009 and so on...
Can you help how to set up this in period control method?(OAVH, OAHS)

How to distribute annual value to each month

Hi,
In my case planning is done annually and Key Fig is 0BALANCE. Now once the planning is done:
1. How do I distribute this annual amount equally in 12 months to Key Figure 0SALES for each month?
2. How can I have seasonal distribution of this annual amount over whole year posting each month value to 0SALES for respective month?

What is your question in detail?
by the way - I mixed up the first formula, of course it is 0sales = 0balance if you have planned 0balance first.
and what do you mean by having costcenter and costcentergroup? are these char not filled for 0balance?
as long as the same char are filled for 0balance and they are included in the aggr level where you do the "copy" to the 0sales figure, they will be filled with exactly the same values as they were before.
the same applies for the distribution funtion.
In all planning functions you only have to take care of the fields that are changing and that is in the formula only the key figure and in the distribution funtion only the period.

Over Charged $20 dollars each month and not being reimbursed

I bought a pre paid plan for $80 dollars in March 2013. Set the auto payment on it with credit card.End of march changed it to $60 plan
After few months saw the bank statements and text messages verizon send they were still charging me $80 dollars though online it showed I had signed for $60 plan.Called them in sept .... (should have called earlier) and they saw "yes I had changed my plan to $60 dollars but the change did not go through seems like a software gliche". She tried for 2 hrs but could not fix it and reassured me that it will be fixed within 72 hrs and reference ticket #<Ticket number removed<. Well they did fix it that my credit card was charged $60 but did not reiemburse for the six months they overcharged me total of $120.Finally I call and say I need an answer today and they say we can give credit for only one month and you will have to dispute the rest with your credit card company.
well for that I need account details from March and since I am prepaid customer I can only view current month details. So I asked her give the details but she refused.
I asked her can you see on your end when I changed the plan and what month and she replied "yes you changed it for April but I cannot give you that info"
So bottom line they mess up you pay and once thay have your money by hook or crook they are not going to give it back even if you have a valid case.

Planned depreciation value for each period

Where can I get the planned depreciation value for each period? I need the fields for customised report.

Hi,
You can get the dep planned values for the each period by using SAP standard report S_ALR_87012936.
In the selection screen of that report, click on All selections button on application tool bar. Then you will be able to see the all the available fields for selection.
Choose evaluation period as Month.
Now execute it. After getting output, you need to go for change layout and adopt fileds like Dep 01-2010, Dep 02-2010, Dep 03-2010....Etc till Dep 12-2010.
This will fix your requirement.

Manual depreciation and Planned but not posted depreciation forwarded

We would like to request for Product Enhancement for Fixed Asset Module due to the inconsistency in the computation for the following:
u2022 The planned and un-posted depreciation is already considered as confirm transaction when they compute for the accumulated depreciation to be forwarded next year (as well as net book value beg for next year)
u2022 But as for the no of months (remaining life) u2013 it will only consider the no of posted months when they compute for remaining life of the asset
The current feature of SAP affecting our enhancement request is as follows
1) Manual depreciation is currently validates manual depreciation based on Planned depreciation instead of Posted depreciation
2) Remaining life computation for next year depreciation is based on posted transaction only
3) When user wants to fully depreciate the asset, we cannot post depreciation based on remaining un-posted depreciation using manual depreciation
Based on this feature we want to request for the following enhancement
1) For the remaining un-posted depreciation (especially if the previous year is already close), we should be able to choose which month we want to post the un-posted depreciation
2) Since the remaining life computation is based on posted depreciation only, 1) the validation and 2) the net book value forwarded next year should also be based on posted depreciation
We have a sample computation based on current feature VS the suggested computation for SAP. Is there any way for us to import the file here at the forum? We will wait for your advice

Dear Kyriakos,
is this prior year closed in FI-AA already? If so, how were you able to close this fiscal year? This should be found as error by the fiscal year close report.
If the prior fiscal year is not closed, then you can either change the depreciation key to a non-calculating one (e.g. 0000) or set a shutdown indicator for the complete fiscal year. This should reduce the planned depreciation to zero. No posting or G/L entry is necessary therefor.
If the prior fiscal year should be already closed in FI-AA (still I would be wondering how you did that), you could use the solution provided in [SAP Note 29694|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/29694].

Plan 1 distribution receipt each month

Dear Experts,
Via a STO - We receive bulk material in a ship from the US that only sails once per month.How do you set up APO to plan 1 distribution receipt each month? I added calendars but this did not work as it must only constrain the production plan.I altered the capacity but this did not work either. In MAT1 I have set the SNP procedure on the lot size tab to 28 days but it did not create the plan we need.
Please advise this product sell once per month

It can be done by maintaining workday in planning calendar. You can maintain the workdays accordingly.
Please check where did you maintain the planning calendar i.e. source location or destination location.

Hello mlazaretti. Vacation time is awesome. (Especially a road trip!) Since you will be going out for two weeks, you never know if having extra data may come in handy. I highly recommend switching to the next tier up so this way you have more data. This way it is only $10.00 more versus $15.00, and you dont have to worry about overages. Then change back at the start of the next billing cycle.

I don't work for Adobe but it seems to me you might be signing in to Acrobat with the wrong Adobe ID.
Check the Adobe ID you use in Acrobat.
Check this Adobe ID on Adobe's to make sure that it has an active subscription.

These get lost on synchronisation or sometimes end up on a totally different day/date. What can I do as it is very annoying.
Also it altered some theatre dates where I had entered both date and name of play - the name of the play vanished when I synchronised not just on i-pad but it deleted the info from Outlook as well.

Others have the same complaint. iCal on the iPad can do recurring appointments, but not in the format you want (First Tuesday of every Month). It will do the same DATE each month (e.g, the 25th of each month), but for now it does not do a particular DAY of each month.
