Plant level settings

Dear All,
During settings at plant level, in tab inspection lot creation , there is a field called  u201CLot account assignmentu201D. What purpose does it serve?
Regards,

Hi
u201CLot account assignment
In simple terms is When Inspection lot is created a QN order will be created in Background.
In order to settle these Cost ..you have to specify Ind. settlement   &  collective settlement type.
like
Order type: Ind. settlement   QL02
Order type: Coll. settlement  QL01
This is possinel to process through Qk04.
The order type that is maintained here is only used, if no inspection-type related default value has been maintained for the order type 'QM orders'.----
>used when you do not specify QN order in QM view

  • What is use of cost centre ( scrap & detroying) in plant level QM settings?

    Hi all,
What is use of cost centre ( scrap & detroying) in plant level QM settings?
kindly suggest me the usage of the same.
    regards,
    Sanju

    Its simple..........
In UD screen you have stock posting options like scrap ,sample ,new material etc.
Now when you mention cost center in Scrap means -
    >while stock posting your material will be consumed against this cost center--->mvt type 350
you mention cost center in destroying means -
    >while stock posting your material will be consumed against this cost center--->mvt type 331

  • Batch level settings conversion from plant-to-plant to material-level

If someone has worked on conversion of Batch level settings within SAP from plant-to-plant to material-level batch management, please let me know what are the challenges involved in doing this. Thanks.

    Check help !!!
To change the batch level, you have to start a conversion program. This program first checks whether conversion is possible and outputs an error log containing all batch numbers that occur more than once at the new level. Now you need to manually transfer these batch records to batch numbers within Inventory Management using a transfer posting 'material to material'.
If you change the level from plant level to a higher level, it is possible that batches with the same batch numbers in different plants are actually identical.  In this case, all you have to do is remove stocks (including previous period stocks) so that all batches with the same batch numbers, except one, can be reorganized.
When you convert from plant level to material level, the material is then to be handled in batches in all plants in which it is defined.
    Standard settings
In the standard delivery batches are uniquely defined at material level.
    Activities
To change the batch level, proceed as follows:
    1. Choose the level at which you want your batches to be unique.
    2. Save the new settings and choose Back.
    3. Choose Batch level -> Conversion.
    4. If necessary, carry out the conversion in test mode first.
    Further notes
Note that you cannot reset conversion from plant level to a higher level in the standard.
If you create a client by copying an existing client, initially, there are no settings in the target client at batch level. The system makes the settings in the target client only when you have carried out an activity (maintaining master data or posting a goods movement, for example). The client level is not transported. If you copy a client with client level, you have to manually set the client level in the target system.

  • Message settings at Plant Level - reg

    Hi,
Is it possible to set a message at Plant level. Means for one plant it should be an error message whereas for a different plant belonging to the same company it should be a warning message.
If yes, please help us with the prerequisites and the configuration path to accompany this functionality.
    Regards,
    RitiG

    Hi
I dont think this can be acheived directly using SAP standard customizing.
But based on the application we can use certain user exits & change the Error & warning message determination.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Activating auto PO Check Box in the purchasing view for plant level.

    Hi Techies,
Right now i have an issue related to auto PO check box in the purchasing view for the plant level. There are three plants A,B,C.. For the plants A and B the automatic PO check box is visible and the user is able to provide input values. But when it comes to plant C the auto PO field is not available and hence the user is unable to provide input for auto PO.
Is there any configuration to be done to activate the auto PO check box in the purchasing view in the material master with respect to plant C?
If so could you please guide me with the settings?
    Thanking you in advance.

Hi Techies thanks for you all info.
Now today i just tried to created a new HALB Material in the plant C which i had issues yesterday. But when i created today a new material the Auto PO feild is available for entry. THen i tried to go to the material which i created yesterday for editing it. But i was unable to do it.
I checked the transactions which most of you referred(Very Useful). I found that all the plant s had the same screen selction setting and set as Opt Entry. The field screen referrence for MM01, MM02 Transaction s are also set as opt entry. The screen reference for HALB is also set as Opt entry. Still i m not able to find the field auto PO in the purchasing field.
So does it mean that a material once created without auto PO enabled or visible can never be updated after that? But i think its not the case and we should be able to edit it(correct me if im wrong).
Really having my fingers crossed to find a solution for this issue.

  • Material master fields on plant level

    Hi all,
is it possible that i can restrict fields on plant level, like one material type one field i want mand. in one plant and optional in other plant.
    regards,
    qsm sap

    hi,
    Yes, it posible:
    go to SPRO
    Logistics - General-> Material Master->Field Selection->Define Plant-Specific Field Selection and Plant-Specific Screen Selection (OMSA)
see the settings for the plant in field reference - you need a diferent reference to the diferent plants (group together similar plants - all the ones that you want the field to be mandetory should have the same field reference)
now go to OMS9 or OMSR
and set the field as mandetory for the field reference you have made in OMSA
    good luck

  • Add z field in material master at plant level

I wanna to assign a new field in material master at plant level..
What settings should be done to do this?
Positive response will be highly appreciated.
    Regards

    hi,
You can define the field directly via assigning the field to field selection group...This could also be done at industry sector, plant level as well....
    Check the path :
SPRO >> Logistics general >> MM >> Field selection >> Assign fields to field selection group...
SPRO >> Logistics general >> MM >> Field selection >> Assign field at plant
SPRO >> Logistics general >> MM >> Field selection >> Assign fields at industry sector level...
For this assign the field to the respective table and then provide it at OMSR...
Assign field selection group to it...
Then in OMS9 give the priority for hide/display/req/optional to field...
If you want this to be added in the new screen, then you have to make the settings under "configure the material master"...
    Hope it helps..

  • About the effect for batch level conversion from material to plant level

    Dears,
Now  we use batch management at material level in our system, now we want to change to batch level from material level to plant level, what effects or risks it will bring during the process of conversion?
    Thanks a lot

    Hi
check the following SAP help link it is very helpful:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_40b/helpdata/es/d2/1d4b6e5733d1118b3f0060b03ca329/content.htm
at the link you can find the following
Specify batch level and activate status management
In this IMG activity, you specify the following:
the level at which batch numbers are unique
whether batch status management is active in the client
the plants in which batch status management is active
the initial status of new batches
    Batch level
Batch numbers can be unique at the following levels:
    at plant level
    at material level
at client level for a material
If you choose plant level, the batch number is unique in conjunction with the respective material and the plant. If you choose material level, the batch number is unique together with the material. At client level, the batch number is unique in the whole client.
To change the batch level, you have to start a conversion program. This program first checks whether conversion is possible and outputs an error log containing all batch numbers that occur more than once at the new level. Now you need to manually transfer these batch records to numbers within Inventory Management using a transfer posting 'material to material'.
In the standard R/3 System, batches are unique at plant level.
    Activities
To change the batch level, proceed as follows:
          1. Choose the level at which you want your batches to be unique.
          2. Save the new settings and choose Back.
          3. Select function Batch level -> Conversion.
    SETTINGS BEFORE/AFTER CLIENT COPY:
    Source client Target client
    Client level Material level
    Material level Material level
    Plant level Plant level
    Batch status management
Batch status management is an additional function provided by the standard R/3 System.
    Standard settings
Batch status management is not active in the standard R/3 system.
    Activities
To activate batch status management, proceed as follows:
          1. Choose Batch status management active.
          2. Save the new setting and choose Back.
          3. Choose Batch status management -> conversion.
          4. If necessary, carry out the conversion in test mode first.
    Further notes
Batch status management is linked to the batch level. At material and at plant level, the status management settings are valid within the client, that is for all plants. However, if you have defined batches to be unique at plant level, you have to select the plants in which status management is to be active using function Plants with status management.
If you activate status management, all existing batches are assigned status 'unrestricted'. If you deactivate status management, the systems transfers all restricted batches to unrestricted stock within conversion. Restricted stock only exists if status management is active.
If you create a client by copying an existing client, status management is automatically activated if batches exist in the target client, independent of the settings in the source client. If no batches exist in the target client, it is not activated. In this case, you have to activate or deactivate status management manually, if required.
    Plants with batch status management
    Activities
To select the plants in which status management is to be active, proceed as follows:
          1. Set characteristic Batch status management for those plants in which batch status management is to be active.
          2. Save your settings and choose function Back.
          3. Choose function Batch status management -> conversion
          4. If necessary, carry out the conversion in test mode first.
Initial status of a new batch
Using this function, you can specify for each material type which initial status new batches are to be assigned. However, if you use a quality management system, this specifies the status of the batches.
    Hope it will help

  • Payment Terms fetch Issue(Plant Level) @ SRM 7.0

    Hello Experts,
We are currently implementing SRM 7.0 system(Classical Scenario) across regions. In one such scenario we found out that when we create a PO directly in SRM the Payment Terms is fetched correctly from the Vendor Master at Plant Level(Bypassing the Purch Org Level data, since Standard SAP looks for plant specific data & the same has been implemented in SRM by enahancing the BADI BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI (Implementation ZBBP_DOC_CHANGE_PO ,Method :- BBP_PO_CHANGE using a Custom FM with SQL Query on LFM2)
However when a PO is ordered via the Shopping Cart method, the payment term is fetched at Purch org level, even though we have an Alternative Data(at Plant level) in R/3.
The Header & Item Level Data are the same.for both the PO's. Can someone please give some pointers on fixing this issue. As we know from SAP,fetching Plant related Payment Term into SRM is not a SAP Standard Feature & thus a custom logic was implemented.Payment Term Table(BBP_PAYTERM) is updated with the latest data with all Payment Term translations maintained in R/3.
    Awaiting your suggestions.

  • MCHB,MARD - Stock available at plant level and storage location level

    Hi ,
How to determine how much stock available at Storage location level and Plant level. (Lot is not maintained).
In MCHB-Stock at lot level is shown.
In MARD-Stock at Storage Location level is shown lncluding
the stock maintaned at the lot level.
If i want to know the stock which is not maintained in Lot, i.e, Stocks directly maintained at Storage location / Plant.
Do I need to subtract the MCHB Value from MARD Value ?
Is there any other way available to find the stocks which is not maintained at lot level.
    Regards
    Prasath

    Hi prashant,
What do u mean by stock maintained at SL level without batch level.  Do u mean that some materials are subjected to batch management and some or not?
If that is the case, for all batch managed materials, u can see the stock at batch level and also same is summed up at SL level.  But still what ever u are getting from MARD table isstock at SL level only.
If u have activated batch management for any material, it will always be shown at lot level also.
    hope this clarfifies query

  • STOCK QUNTITY on posting date at a plant level

I need the stock quntity , issue quntity , reciept quntity and averege quantity at <b>plant level</b> for a period of<b> week</b>, and <b>month</b>
Is there any function that can do it or any table that has those detailes or any program?

    Hi,
Check S031 table. It is a LIS info structure which store all goods movements in your system. But the key would based be on the variant your system configured to. I mean it will be either by Fiscal period/ Week/ Calendar Month for plant material.
Hope this will give you some clue.

  • Order split- at plant level

My client have 3 plants at different location. My client requirement is Every month he will receive order from his customers in one predefined format. That order should be copied into sales order ( VA 01) automatically. After receiving sales order, at the time of delivery , that delivery should be processed at plant level as per availability of products delivery . They are producing different products at different plant. Please explain me how it is possible into SAP. Thank in advance

    Regarding SOs:
You can try out by scheduling batch jobs periodically.
    Regarding Av. Chk :
1)Av chk happens at plant level only.
    2) Av chk, according to ATP logic, will consider ONLY one/Single plant.
    3) If you want Av chk across multiple plants, you must consider "Rule based Av. chk". For this APO must be connected to your system, where the Av chk takes place & the results are transferred to your system.
Hope , you are clear now.
