Please help re-set up my linksys e1000

I set up my linksys e1000 years ago and haven't had a problem. Yesterday, it was accidentally unplugged. Now it no longer works and I do not have the CD. How can I get it set up again? Please be specific because I am pretty clueless here.

If you do not have the cd then you will have to go for manual troubleshooting. You need to identify whether you have cable or dsl internet service, Then you may follow the steps found on the links below depending on what type of internet connection you have:

Update: my phone's connecting to the WiFi again. I don't know what did the trick. I did nothing since reinstalling the software. It hadn't worked then, it is now. I tried connecting to my dad's phone's hotspot( he uses a Moto G), and it worked. I then tried connecting to the WiFi at a friend's house, and when I came back home, my phone was able to connect to my WiFi! Is it of any significance that my friend's router doesn't require a password? My issue has been resolved( for now; I hope I'm not counting my chickens before they've hatched). For anyone facing a similar issue, I suggest you try everything I did:
1. Turn your router off for a minimum of 30 seconds, turn it back on and try connecting.
2. Click on the WiFi network you are connected to, scroll to the bottom, tap "Renew Lease".
3. Do a soft and hard reset.
4. Reset network settings.
5. Back your data up, erase all content from settings menu, restore from backup.
6. Reinstall your software( put it in recovery mode).
I am not sure which of the above worked for me. Make sure you try everything. If none of the above works, take it to a genius bar or an authorised service provider. Good luck! :)

I'm using a IBM ThinkPad W510 with Mozilla Firefox as my search engine, Thunderbird as my email program and I recently purchased an iPad 3 and own an iPod. I am very interested in using iCloud but short of finding an IT Engineer, I am in dire need of step by step help on how to set up iCloud on these three pieces of hardware. I'm willing to pay for the information if needed but as it looks now, after spending three nights and about 9 hours I don't think it's possible. My email address is [email protected] and I am unclear as to if I have to use .me or whatever Apples email options are. I really need help and it's stuff like this that really keep 30 year PC users from jumping the fence and going totally Apple which I may consider in the future after seeing Windows 8 in the fall. Please help. I have a new Curve. I spent forever getting Google Calendar loaded up with my LIFE, and now I cannot seem to get the two to sync consistently. Would someone please simplify this for me (talk to me like I am 8) and rescue me from the panic I am in?
I need Google Calendar to sync (both ways) with my BB. Since I can only find a way to set two different sounding alarms on the BB, I also need to be able to have Google Calendar send e-mail alerts (because I can use a different alarm tone) and SMS (another tone) for some events.
I had some of this working, and all of a sudden, some events are out of "sync" by a day. (ie. it says they are set for a Thursday, recurrring ,but they show up on Wednesday on Google). Also, many events are not syncing from Google Cal to BB.
Following some of the information I read here, I re-set my Calendar Sync, re-loaded Google Sync. I now have 3 entries in my calendar, not 823. It would appear that most of what I need still exists in my desktop Google Calendar. Please help me get these appointments back on to my BB!!

Please help. Setting up a Library on external HD and reconfigure Apple TV

Please help. I have a macbook air and recently purchased the apple tv. I am looking for help on 2 things.
1- how do I create a new iTunes library on my external HD so that the movies I have purchased from iTunes can be stored there instead of on the hd of my MBA and I can free up the space on the MBA?
2- I have read on a few of the posts that there is a way to reconfigure the Apple TV to sync with that new library (on the external HD) instead of being linked with the MBA hd. But none of them gives steps needed to get this done. Can someone please help??

1. On the external HD create a new empty folder call it what you will (itunes new folder), then in itunes preferences/advanced change your 'itunes music folder location' by locating and selecting the new folder. Ensure that 'keep itunes...organised' and 'copy itunes....' check boxes are checked. Close preferences and then select file/library/consolidate library from your menu bar.
This will then copy your entire media collection to the new folder, once complete you can then trash the old itunes folder which by default should be at user/music/itunes/itunes music.
2. If you follow the steps above there should be no need to reconfigure the tv, it should continue to see the library in the same way as before.
Note.
You will no longer be able to play any media on the MBA or stream any content to the tv unless your ext HDD is attached.
It is possible to keep some content on the MBA so that you can access it and play it while on the go, this is fairly easy but not quite as easy as keeping your library in one place, let us know if you want to do this.

Please help me set up a WDS with relay

I am attempting to create a WDS with 5 Airport Express units with the main station being connected to a wired router (will this slow things down?) I used the Airport Utility to designate the main station in WDS and then scanned for another station that I set up as remote. Everything works fines at this point.
Next I selected another station as a relay and then selected the main station and the other ones which I want to act as remotes from the relay (not sure if I should include the remote that I already have set up off the main station as also a remote to the relay) But regardless this is when I get the message that I should not have DHCP and NAT enabled and that I should deselect the "Distribute IP Addresses" option which didn't come up when I set up the first remote from the main. I tried leaving these options both on or off but either way the relay didn't connect to the main however the remotes connected the the relay. (I have double checked that I have the main station for the relay selected properly.
I was confused that you are to enter a network name and password for the relay because I thought it would it would automatically be changed to the main networks names and password. (Maybe it would have if I had it working right) Since it didn't I attempted entering in the main network name and password but it didn't help. A relay in WDS doesn't create another network name correct? Computers can also connect to a relay? I also thought it was strange that when I was scanning for the stations that the MAC address would come up but the name would be listed as "unknown" but am not sure if that is a big deal. One other issue I was experiencing was that my PMG5 couldn't connect to another station after already being connected to one for some unkown reason but luckily I have a PB to work with that had no trouble accessing the different stations to then attempt to configure as I have described. I also wonder if it woud be better to kepp the PMG5 wired from the wired router and then also connect the Main Airport Express to it. If anyone can provide any advice it will be greatly appreciated! Sorry, would love to go into fine detail about this but I'm a little tired and frustrated at this point.
I'm basically having the same problem as robosapien. I just want to create this simple configuration :-
AirPort Extreme Base Station (main) <--> AirPort Express (relay) <--> Airport Express (remote)
In following various instruction manuals, common sense and logical experimentation I'm simply failing to get it to work. I've assigned MAC addresses, configured manually and with the set-up assistants but I'm begining to feel that the "multiple" configuration adjustments that happen when setting up a WDS network are somehow cancelling things out.
Here are a few things that are confusing me.
1) It appears I have set things up correctly in a single room environment with MAC addresses in the "right" boxes, main/relay/remote WDS settings assigned correctly and green lights on the 2 Express units. I then move Express 1 (relay) to another room and retain green light status. I then move Express 2 (remote) to it's intended location - another building, but with only 2 walls and 25ft between Express's - but I only get the flashing orange LED. I return to Express 1 and that too is flashing orange, as if Express 2 has messed up it's function when it was powered up. The network has fallen down.
2) When experimenting with configuring each station I don't understand why a single remote base station is in a mode classed as "Create a Wireless Network" as opposed to "Join an existing Wireless Network", but that second option disables access to WDS settings, so I'll hazard a guess that is used for bridging.
I'm sure it's probably all about the order in which you set up the base stations
and which base station holds which MAC addresses, but I've exhausted the logical combinations.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Had my time capsule for 6 months and I can not get it to sync with my Mac Book Pro. When I set up the wireless part the internet works great. When I open up time machine it says "connecting to back up volume" then "time machine backup disk can't be found". It then asks to set up time machine which I click on then turn time machine on, then "select disk" which give me the option of "none" or "data on time capsule" When I click on "data on time capsule" it asks for my password which i set up on time capsule then it says invalid password. I just get stuck there.
When I go to finder I can set up the time machine to manually drop some files on there but when I do the internet does not work. I have to hit the little reset button on the time capsule to reset it and I just leave it alone and the internet comes back on. I have been doing this back and forth as I am trying to move some pictures over to the time capsule because my memory is so full I don't have room to update any programs.
I know this is long winded but there has got to be something I am missing. I really am at the end of my rope trying to get this to work. Many thanks in advance for any help.

Suggest that you open AirPort Utility, and click Manual Setup
Click the Time Capsule tab just below the row of icons.
Enter a new Time Capsule Password here and confirm that again. Write that password down.
Click the Disks icon
Click the File Sharing tab
Make sure that the setting for Secure Shared Disks = With Time Capsule password
Update to save settings
Restart the Mac
Try to access the disk again entering the new password that you created

Hi All I appreciate any feedback.
1. I'm no novice..I know how to set up sharing...I had it working before...did some stuff with linksys last week, and now nothing works.
2. I CAN see my other cpu's. I can ping them. I can go to a mapped drive and select a song and play it thru Itunes on my other computer just fine, but the problem is I can't play music thru Itunes sharing. (can't bring up songs, playlists, Podcats, or anything, thru sharing)
3. Both CPU's have latest Itunes update
4. I messed around with the multicast filter, as well as windows firewall enabled/disabled on both machines and none of the above are working. (tried port forwarding on the router as well w/ Itunes Port #'s and that didn't work)
5. It seems like every time I open my cpu on the NON sharing cpu the left side nav has my share folder in it...it hangs..the songs come up, and it disappears right away, giving me No Access to my sharing.
6. I have no password enabled on Sharing
7. Linksys wireless router
8. Both machines are XP SP2
9. I can open and play a music from the sharing computer by going thru windows explorer and play an mp3 on my wireless cpu...so this is weird...
Only problem is sharing won't work...I can't see it in Itunes
Any tips would be appreciated.

interlaced and progressive (i and p) have different looks. p is more film-like although there are many things that go in to creating a "film" look. I'm assuming the 50 frame rates are for shooting slow motion. 50i may indicate 50 fields per second rather than 50 frames per second so that is probably just 25 interlaced frames per second. What camera are you shooting with? I think the M setting indicates the data rate so in general, the higher the data rate, the more info and better quality. If I'm wrong on any of this, hopefully someone will speak up. You might want to check the camera manual. Manuals often explain the pros and cons of different shooting formats. You may also have issues with different formats compatabilities with fcp6. Testing is always a good idea.

edit them, not the first XML file values.
