PLEASE READ IF ITUNES DOES NOT RECOGNIZE YOUR BURNER
It can be fixed, and the solution is SOOOO simple you'd think apple would have posted it a while ago under the FAQ or something. Turns out you need something called GEAR drivers. It's a small download and you don't even need to restart your cpu. clink the first link to get the drivers.
http://www.gearsoftware.com/support/drivers.cfm
for info on why you need these stupid drivers in the first place:
http://www.gearsoftware.com/wiki/index.php?title=Gearsec
I installed these missing drivers and my burner was recognized by itunes INSTANTLY. for whatever reason, itunes fails to mention these drivers ANYWHERE on their support pages. I found these links in someone elses post and decided to forward them along. So i hope this works for everyone else with the same issue.
Couple of things I spotted right off ... diagnostics still don't show me as an administrator but I told it run as administrator. When it asked to insert a prerecorded CD and then choose which drive to use, I have no drives in the menu to choose from but yesterday I had 2 and shows no external plug-ins installed. Hmmm. Solution .Itunes does not recognise your your burner
If itunes does not recognise your burner, look in (my computer) if you have more drive than you actually have.if this is the case, you have a logical drive. You must go in your control panel and disable it. When you will try to burn .Itunes is gonna see your burner and ask you if you want to use it .
I also have a similar problem.
I have an 80g. Library was in fine working order.
Now, I had my computer wiped out, with a new itunes library.
I want to transfer my ipod music to my itunes library, but all of the programs to help me do this will not recognize my ipod, even on disk use and manual settings.
What do I do without clearing my ipod music? -
ITunes does not recognize my burner. The burner works perfectfully with all other applications. Anyone have any ideas?

I just purchased this movie on Thursday, May 15, so just a few days ago. I have never had any trouble whatsoever since I have been in Vietnam. I have downloaded several movies and even music and they have all synced to my respected Apple products except for this purchase.
Sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean by studios and different versions. Could you please explain?
I checked my purchased list in my purchase history under my account and there are no hidden items. -

5. Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed
If the device is not recognized while in Recovery Mode
Note: If your device is working on its own and is not in recovery mode, this set of steps is not for you; do not manually place the device into recovery mode.
Your device may not be recognized while in recovery mode. This can happen during an update or restore of your device. Typically when your device is in recovery mode, it will show the "Connect to iTunes" logo on its display. If iTunes does not recognize the device when in this state, try the following:
Open the Device Manager:
Windows XP: Click Start > Run. In the resulting dialog, type devmgmt.msc and press Return.
Windows Vista or Windows 7: Click Start. In the dialog, type devmgmt.msc and press Return on the keyboard. If Windows needs your permission to continue, click "Continue".
Windows 8: Move the cursor to the upper right corner, click the magnifying glass, type devmgmt.msc, and press Return.
Click the plus icon (Windows XP and Vista) or the disclosure triangle () (for Windows 7 and 8) next to Imaging Devices, Other Devices, Portable Devices, and Universal Serial Bus Controllers to expand these sections.
Check these sections for one or more entries called Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode). These entries may or may not have exclamation marks on them similar to the following:
If you see only one "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" entry that has no errors on it:
If you see two "Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode)" entries with exclamation marks on them: -
How do you restart yrdi you just downloaded itunes and it does not recognize your ipod because it is diabled?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

I upgraded from Iphone 3g to iphone 4. I had to update my macbook pro to Lepard just to sync. the **** thing with the new iphone 4. I bought and updated to lepard. Now when I try to sync itunes does not recognize my new iphone 4 as mine and wants to erase everything I have bought using the phone before it will sync! It says everything on the phone now will be cleared in order to sync it with my existing info on the computer from my previous iphone. How can I just get everything from my current iphone 4 into itunes, basically add it to the info from my previous iphone 3g that is currently in my itunes? I dont want to lose what I have on my phone currently....I paid money for half the apps for crying out loud.
I was so frustrated by this when I first bought the phone that I just pushed it out of my mind and NEVER synced it. Please help...Nope - you cannot restore a backup from a newer iOS version on to a device running an older iOS version. The reverse works, but in your case to use your backup, you must update to iOS 7.0.3 - no other option if you want to use that backup.

Windows and iTunes does not recognize
yada, yada...
I tried the Rs, but my new computer and iTunes does not recognize my shuffle. Can someone give me basic steps to correct this? Shuffle was previously 'synched' with another iTunes library and I don't want to erase my currently uploaded music. Help please!I don't know if this is the same problem, but I cannot get my I-pod Nano to sync or have I-tunes recognize it. It is a connector problem, and this is my second Nano to do it within nine months. Apple wants $32 to send it in to be repaired once again. I am irritated beyond belief. I took my Nano in to an IMAC store and they confirmed that it was a connector problem. They could not send it off nor repair or replace it though. So I've had two Nano's since Christmas have this problem.
I would suggest that you try another device (shuffle) on your computer to ensure that it's not your computer (our other I-pods worked on the computer) and/or take it in to an IMAC store where they will see if it connects to one of their computers.
Right now I think Apple products are basically crap... -

If I want to sign in to this message board, I can do so. I can also sign in on my iPad to download updates, purchase new apps and songs, etc. And I can sync my iPad to iTunes on my iMac.
But when I open iTunes on my iMac, it asks for my password and I can't sign in. What is causing this problem with iTunes on my iMac repeatedly asking for my password when I open iTunes?
This is very frustrating. I am also worried that I won't be able to sync when my new iPad arrives March 16. Help! The solution (for me at least) is to keep trying the same password in iTunes on my iMac that I know is correct. For me, the fourth try of typing in the exact same password works in iTunes on my iMac. I have repeated this several times, and each time it works.
What is messing people up is that when iTunes does not recognize the correct password, people are attempting other passwords. Those other passwords are all incorrect. The problem, as you stated, is that the password was entered correctly the first time but because of iTunes having issues it does not recognize it.
People, just keep entering the password you know is correct. It will eventually recognize it, or at least this works for me. If this still does not work, reset your password (but then you may still have to enter it repeatedly in iTunes).
Apple needs to fix this. -

My computer has Bitlocker encryption. When I plug in my iPod Shuffle to the USB port, iTunes does not recognize it. When asked to encrpt the Shuffle I say no, but still not recognized. When I encrypt it, still not recognized (even after it was restored by iTunes). Any suggestions please?

Itunes does not recognize my iphone 4 device
I bought a new computer, tried to install itunes, after three different people tried to help me, i finally got itunes to install, but when I plug my iphone into my computer, itunes does not recognize the device. I am trying to 1. upgrade my iphone soft ware to 10.5.3, utilize icloud, and perform basic functions of syncing my phone with my computer. Any help, anyone could provide would be appreciated.
Tank you,
RoseIf your iTunes is the latest version, restart your computer and reboot your iPhone. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPhone restart. See if that fixes your problem.
