Plnd order to production order

Hi all,
I executed a plng run in PPDS to cover independent requirements. From product view I accessed one of the plnd order and checked conversion indicator. I am trying to convert plnd order into prod order. I refreshed product view, but no new production order number is assigned. It still remains a plnd order. Where am I making mistake?
thanks

Please check:
'Transfer to R/3 In-House Production' option in PPDS Global Defaults and Settings -
Also, you can evaluate the Application Log - if it is confirmed that APO System tries to transfer Pl. Orders to R/3 but they get stuck in Queues.

yes I can confirm what JouLes wrote. But you can only change what I told you before.
if you can do customizing on anything else, then you should be able to do it here too, there is no authorization object for a specific IMG area or knot. either you have authorization for customizing or not.
Are you in a developement client? In production client it is not possible to do this customizing.

and also i am getting the following information - the component cannot be allocated to an individual stock because make to order production and engineer to order production cannot be executed with this order
a possible cause is that you are trying to create an order with reference to a sales order / project where an account assignment to a sales order / project is not allowed in the settlement profile that is assigned to the chosen order type this is inconsistent

  • Subcontracting Purchase Order from ECC sent to APO creates a Plnd Order

Subcontracting Purchase Order from ECC sent to APO creates a Plnd Order with the same Purchase Order# in APO.
We want to influence the source of supply for this internally APO created planned order.
For this, I would like to know what user exit can be used, I have already looked at
    (1) BADI: SOURCE DETERMINATION
    (2) CIF INBOUND EXTERNAL PROCUREMENT on APO side.
Any other user exits or has someone worked on this scenario.
    Thanks

  • Converting material PO text from Plnd order to Preq after MRP run

    Hello;
I would like to know how is it possible to convert material long text to the Preq after the planned order is converted into Preq after MRP run.
I've checked in the text linkages in SPRO but didn't the option for copy rule for plnd orders to Preq.
Can someone tell me if it's possible, if so how.
    Ibou

    Hi
There is no settings in standard for this, but this can be achieved by development. SAP does not provides this functionality in standard SAP because of performance issue. Please refer to SAP note 27136 on this.
To get the text copied, you can ask ABAP programmer to implement Badi MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA and put a logic to read text from material and copy in PR.
    Hope this will help.

  • Not able to create plnd order in prod view

    Hi,
When I try to create an order using product view, it gives me an error message,
'Invalid product-location combination (pegging area), A product-location combination exists in the APO database but not in liveCache'
Can someone help me with getting apo data into LC?
    Thanks

    Hi Vardev,
    Try the following optilons.
    1) Use transaction /SAPAPO/RRP_NETCH and create pegging areas for the location product and then try
    2) Check both the location and product are in active integration model
    3) If it did not work, carry out a CIF run for the location product run and then try
    4) Check both the location and product are assigned to active model 000
    5) Check master data in R/3 (material master)
I think step 1 should resolve your problem.

  • Have BOM re-exploded, yet remain Scheduling in firmed plnd order unchanged?

    Dear experts,
Is there any way to have BOM re-explosion carry thru in planned order, but leaving the Scheduling info in the firmed planned order unchanged?
(in respect that BOM refreshed frequently, with quite a few firmed planned orders involved)
    Environment: ECC 5.0
    Appreciated to any thought,
    Thank you,

    Hi
I was checking the Planned Order (T-code: MD12) and there 2 separate options avaialable for (1) Explode BOM (2) Scheduling
you can find these options as EDIT >> Explode BOM (or) EDIT >> Scheduling.
please check, whether these options may be helpful.

  • Issue with production order linked to quote instead of sales order

    Hi Gurus,
I did a lot of digging through SAP notes and accross the internet. Before I contact SAP, just wanted to give a shot @ SDN. Please help.
Background- for ATO (VC assemble to Order):
    i) Created a quote
ii) Created a sales order with reference to a quote
iii) MRP created a planned order and the planned order is linked to the quote
iV) Production order created and it is also linked to a quote
    v) All reports, MD04/COOIS shows that the plnd order/prd order is linked to the quote
My issue - print a shop paper or a customer specific product ID label....guess what 'it prints the quote number everywhere'.
Everything is tied to a quote - which is not a real demand. All purchase orders are tied to the quote. THIS IS STUPID.
I refered to SAP Notes - 181685 and 459734. But I need details of what config settings I should do and where?
I'm a pure PP guy, getting into SD requirement type & account assignement settings. Please help me with details.
    http://scn.sap.com/message/8018953#8018953
This guy also had the same problem and his issue was never resolved.
    Thanks,

    Hello
Take a look on the following note where this scenario is described:
16658 - Generate sales order stock based on quotation
The note proposes the following setting as a workaround to this issue:
"As of 3.0, when the requirements type is assigned to the transaction
during requirements type determination, it is possible to assign a
requirements type to the quotation that does not represent make-to-order
    production."
Therefore, please check your customizing settings and make sure that a requirement class/type (transactions OVZG and OVZI) without MTO is assigned to the quotation item category (transaction OVZI).
On transaction OVZI, there is a field called "Origin of requirement type in requirement type determination". Please take a look on the information provided on the F1 help of this field:
    ========================================================================
Origin of requirement type in requirement type determination
In the standard release, the requirements type is determined according
to a certain search strategy depending on the strategy group of the
    material.
In this field you can select an alternative search strategy (source):
Source 0 = Material master strategy, then item category and MRP type
Source 1 = Item type and MRP type strategy
Source 2 = Item type and MRP type strategy (as for source 1) with
additional check of the allowed requirements type
    ========================================================================
Therefore, my suggestion is to set this field to 1 for the quotation item category and assign an MTS requirement type on OVZI.

  • Automatic Creation of Production order per month

    Hello Gurus,
Good Day! Is it possible to schedule creation of production order in background for certain material per month basis?
    Thank you,
    raymond

    Hi Raymond,
If the suggestion of REM does not work for your requirement, then take the help of your ABAPer use one of the below BAPI's & create a Z prog. for creation of order as required.
    1. Prdn order frm plnd order -> BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE_FROM_PLORD
    2. Prdn order -> BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE
    3. Prdn oder with ref -> BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE_FROM_REF
Alternatively, create one order & keep it open for the entire year, just do monthly wip calc & at the end of financial year settle the order completely.
    If helpful award points

  • Production order closure not possible becasue of WIP

    Hi,
I have a production order planned for 10 pcs
The operations in it are not confirmed and the operation yield is 0 and the status is set to TECO. The order status show GMPS TECO RESA and the documented goods movement shows 261 and 262 for equal quntities
user is unable to close the order as he is getting a WIP error
    Can you please direct me
    Thanks,
    SAPSriman

Hi -Thanks a lot for your response
It definitely makes sense. But I am unable to process KKAX KKS2 KO88 as the order has been set for deletion and the previous period has been locked. I will propose the same to my client and ask him to remove the flag and process further
In this context I had two more questions in the same prdn order
    1. Can we set the order to TECO even if the operations are not confirmed?
    2. In the DATES/QTY Tab in the order - it has 10 pcs as Plnd order and 10 pcs as ORDER quantity. This I understand
can you please tell me what does the DELIVERED AND COMMITTED quantity mean. In this case it is 0 against delivered and 10 against committed
    Thanks,

  • GOT STUCK IN MAKE TO ORDER SCENARIO

    Dear All,
Ours is a Make to order concept where in PP would run MRP against a sale order and as a result planned orders will get generated.
we under MM will convert those Plnd orders into PR'S using MD15.while doing so it is obvious that system will copy the account assignment as "E".Till this there was no problem.
i have a semi-finished product which needs to be sent for subcontracting. Now for this i could able to convert the Plnd order into P.R where the account assignment "E" and the special procurement type from MRP2 "L'" is getting captured. Then i had converted into P.O. Eventually when i am trying to issue the components referring to that P.O, the system is issuing a message as"PO HAS NO ITEMS".
Kindly suggest as to any further settings are required.

    Hi Syed,
Sorry, your process isn't totally clear to me.
    You wrote:
    1. 'i have a semi-finished product which needs to be sent for subcontracting'
    2. 'here SFG will be my finished product for which i will issue the components'
Maybe I didn't understand your problem well, but according to your statements there's inconsistency in your scenario.
    1. you have SFG
    2. you send this SFG for subcontracting, and you want to send components as well
    3. you want to get the SFG as the result of the subcon process
    In my opinion:
    1. you have SFG
    2. you should issue 'L'-PO for your FG, where components are: SFG, component1, component2, etc
    3. as the result of the process you should get FG
(and you can solve this as third-party PO - of course if you want)

  • After firming planned order, new planned order is generating in MRP run

    Hi Experts,
I am using SAP AFS. Planning strategy is 21- MTO with Project settlement. MRP type is PD. Lte size is EX. Procurement type is X.
We are using the production versions. Individual / collective reqmts is 1. Planning time fence is not maintained.
In sap AFS T.Code for MRP run is /n/afs/md02. After receiving the Sales order, MD04 screen gets updated accordingly and I am running the MRP.Planned orders are generated accordingly. I am firming the planned order manually through MD04. The satr mark is also appearing.
My problem starts now. If I am running  the MRP again for the same requirements another planned order of the same qty. is getting generated. That means after the second MRP run, I am having two planned orders (one firmed plnd order) and second is the new planned order. My requirement is that MRP should not generate any new Plnd. order / PR's if there is no new Sales order.
The parameters for MRP run are "1" for "Create PR's", '1" for "Plng Mode" and '"1" for "scheduling ".
I have tried in all the possible ways, but of no use. Still new plnd order is generated after firming the 1st plnd. order in MRP run.

    Thanks all for your feedback..
    @ Vishal
    1. Yes, Both Old firmed planned order and newly generated planned order have the same grid value
    2. For both the planned orders :
Special Stock is E u2013 Orders on hand,
    Consumption is V,
Sales order is the same (As we are using MTO , Strategy 21) and same WBS element.
    3. First planned order is not in the assigned tab of MD04. This means that has been allocated to some object. u2013 I didu2019nt got this point. Can u please elaborate?
    @ Nikhil
    1. Quantity of sales order is not reducing after firming the sales order
    2. Account assignment category for both the planned orders is u201CZu201D - Indiv.cust./project
I have made some more observations and found the following differences between the two planned orders
From  MD04 , keep the cursor on corresponding planned order
& click on upward arrow ( available on bottom side of the report).
It will show what will be the originating requirements i e. for which requirements this planned order generated.
For Firmed planned order it is taking me to screen u201CPegged Requirements

  • Planned order and purchase req

    Hi,
I have created a planned order and a pur req for a product in APO
The ava date for the plnd order is 28.02.2011 and same for the Pur req
The GR processing time was earlier 3 days when the proposals were generated . Now I  see that the user has changed to 1 day in R/3
So there is a diff in the ava date for the planned order and the pu req in APO and R/3
In APO it is 28.02.2011 and in R/3 it is 26.02.2011.
I am able to see this in the CCR
Does this mean that the proposals on getting CIFF'ed to R/3, have picked the new GR processing time from R/3 and adopted the new availablity date in R/3
for this to happen, is a BOM explosion required again or just the CIF of the proposals to R/3 will do or anything  else is influencing this activity?
    kindly explain
    Thanks,
