Plsql API for recording holidays in EBS 12

Hello all of you,
I shoud make a call from a foreign application (Oracle webcenter content 11g) to EBS to record a holiday for an employee (as the work contract states)
I think I should make this through plsql API . What API can I use? I found only hr_std_hol_abs_api api related to holidays but I think it's not the right one .
Thanks for your advices,
Aurel

  • PLSQL API for Voiding Physical Inventory Tags.

    Hello,
    We are trying to find a standard Oracle PLSQL API which will allow us to VOID Physical Inventory Tags from backend.
    We have a requirement where we want to void specific tags and using the Oracle Std form is proving too cumbersome.
    Regards
    Arun

    According to the oracle knowledgebase, there is no Public API.  But there is an enhancement request that you might want to add your company to.

  • API for decrypt the encrypted credit card details

    Hi Friends,
    Is there any PLSQL API for decrypt the encrypted credit card detail in oracle application R12.
    Thanks,

    First, to prevent this from happening again, turn off "In App purchases" in the Restrictions settings on your iPad. You may also want to turn off the ability to install apps, to prevent purchases in case the child gets hold of your iTunes Store account information, and set the password to be required immediately. For more information, see:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4213
    As to a refund, that's not automatic since the terms of sale for the iTunes Store state that all sales are final. You can contact the iTunes Store, explain the reason for your request, and ask, though:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact.html
    They're usually pretty lenient in the case of inadvertent purchases by children. No guarantees, though, just as if your child was in a store and ate a bunch of food (in other words, something that can't just be returned).
    Good luck.

  • Open cursor for PLSQL table of records

    Is it possible to open a cursor for all data in a PLSQL table of records?
    something like
    cursor c (p1 number) is select * from <plsqltab>
    where <plsqltab>.col = p1

    There is no such thing as a PL/SQL table. Yes, I know that many calls this structure in PL/SQL a table. And that is exactly where all this confusion stems from.. and trying to treat such a "table" as an Oracle table using SQL.
    The correct terms are dynamic array (indexed by integer) or dynamic associative array (indexed by varchar). And an array is nothing like a table ito RDBMS processing.
    Yes, you can run SQLs against arrays. But it is "expensive". Why? Because the data sits inside PL/SQL Engine. Not in the SQL Engine. The data is in a PL/SQL defined structure. Not a SQL defined structure.
    So.. the data needs to be shipped from the PL/SQL Engine to the SQL Engine and converted into a format that the SQL Engine can understand and use.
    Also, once shipped and converted the SQL structure is not indexed. Which means that the only option is a full table scan of that structure.
    So you need to ask yourself why do you want to use SQL against a PL/SQL array? As soon as you do that, you are saying "Hey, this PL/SQL table ain't good enough and I need to process it using SQL".
    So why then does that data sit inside a PL/SQL array and not in a SQL table?
    Oracle provides you with the ability to create temporary session tables. These can be indexed. SQL can be run against them without all the "expenses" that are associated with running SQL against a PL/SQL array.
    PL/SQL arrays is a great tool. But only when it is the right tool to use. When someone says he/she needs SQL to use this tool, then I question the choice of the tool. Make sure you use the right tool for the job.

  • Did iPhone have API for video recording?

    Did iPhone have API to write an application for video recording?. I have read all the document about audio&video that release along with SDK beta5 but can't find anything about video recording, all they said is...
    Audio
    Support for recording, processing, and playing audio files and streams.
    Video
    Support for full-screen display of video files.
    if currently iPhone don't have API for video recording, Did apple will develop it in future release of SDK?
    thank you.

    Here is a link the the apple developer site that might help out.

  • Plsql client for twitter api (using oauth)

    Hi,
    I am probably being a bit optimistic, but does anybody have a plsql client for twitter that will allow me to post status updates from oracle? I found this http://somecodinghero.blogspot.com/2010/09/updating-twitter-from-database-using.html, but it doesn't work, simply giving me 401 Unauthorized whenver I try.
    Make my day? Please?
    Thanks
    Ralph

    So.... Are you ready? Let's go.....
    Twitter Part:
    1. Acess https://dev.twitter.com
    2. Login
    3. Create New Application
    4. Fill out the data requested by twitter(and create application).
    5. Click button "Create my acess token".
    6. Copy Consumer key     ,Consumer secret     ,Access token     ,Access token secret     to Notepad++(or elsewhere).
    7. Click the Tab Settings, and change Application Type to "Read, Write and Access direct messages". click the "Update..."
    After installing DB and verified that you have Java 1.5 in your local machine and downloaded twitter4j jar.
    1. Open Jdeveloper(i'm working with 11.1.2.1.0)
    2. Create a new Application. Create a java Class with:
    package client;
    import twitter4j.*;
    import twitter4j.conf.ConfigurationBuilder;
    public class TweetMeMan {
        public static String sendTweet(String msg, String sOAuthConsumerKey, String sOAuthConsumerSecret, String  sOAuthAccessToken, String sOAuthAccessTokenSecret ) {
            String result = "Ok";
            try {
                ConfigurationBuilder cb = new ConfigurationBuilder();
                cb.setOAuthConsumerKey(sOAuthConsumerKey);
                cb.setOAuthConsumerSecret(sOAuthConsumerSecret);
                cb.setOAuthAccessToken(sOAuthAccessToken);
                cb.setOAuthAccessTokenSecret(sOAuthAccessTokenSecret);
                TwitterFactory tf = new TwitterFactory(cb.build());
                Twitter twitter = tf.getInstance();
                Status status = twitter.updateStatus(msg);
                System.out.println("Successfully updated the status to [" + status.getText() + "].");
            } catch (Exception e) {
                System.out.println("Error : " + e.getMessage());
                result = e.getMessage();
            return result;
    }3. Click Project Settings and in Libraries add twitter4j(version).jar
    4. Compile project. No errors? Nice.... Errors? Check the log and fix them ;)
    5. Create a New Deployment Profile
    5.1. Profle Type : Jar File
    5.2 Deployment Profile Name : vrodriguestweet (in my case)
    6. Deploy the vrodriguestweet (it will save de jar file in deploy folder)
    7. Open command line (cmd.exe)
    8. Write
    loadjava -r -f -o -user vrodrigues/yourpaswword@YourDB your_location_of_the_jar_created_above\vrodriguestweet.jar9. Open Sqldeveloper(or sqlplus) and check if there is under Java this name exists : client/TweetMeMan
    9.1 client is the java package i created the java file.
    10. Now let's create the function:
    CREATE FUNCTION letsTweetVR (p_message varchar2, p_OAuthConsumerKey varchar2, p_OAuthConsumerSecret varchar2, p_OAuthAccessToken varchar2, p_OAuthAccessTokenSecret varchar2  )
       RETURN VARCHAR2
       AS LANGUAGE JAVA
       NAME 'client/TweetMeMan.sendTweet
         (java.lang.String, java.lang.String, java.lang.String, java.lang.String, java.lang.String) return java.lang.String';   10.1. No errors? Amazing....keep going you are almost there...
    11. Let's tweet:
    BEGIN
      DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(letsTweetVR('Tweeting from database...Awesome, right?',
                                              'your_OAuthConsumerKey',
                                             ' your_OAuthConsumerSecret',
                                             'your_OAuthAccessToken',
                                            'your_OAuthAccessTokenSecret')
    END;Of course you can do this inside a package or passing the values from some interface.... And you can also do other things that twitter4j does... Like Search for Tweets and so on and so on. ;)
    Did someone like this? Or i'm an idiot? : D
    All credits goes to the developer of twitter4j....
    P.S Remember that this is my first usage of java in DB...so if you can do better, please advise ;)
    P.S.1. I will blog this with entire full steps.... just trying to get the time for it :/

  • How to apply XSLT to XML file while importing XML data using XSU plsql API

    I need to load XML file with nested repeating elements into Oracle tables and I am using XSU PLSQL API utility package dbms_xmlSave.insertXML. Can use XMLGen package also!!
    I found out through documentation that I need to have XML file with ROWSET/ROW tags around the elements. As I have no control of XML file coming from external source, so I wish to apply XSLT to XML. I found setXSLT/setStylesheet procedures but it's not working as expected.
    Can you help me with some sample code for the purpose.
    Thanks

    I'm new at XML and XSL as well, but maybe the following code I built can help:

  • Is there any APIs for FND attachments

    Hi,
    Is there any API for FND Attachments. I would like to load the concurrent output generated as an attachment to the record.
    So I'm planning to write PLSQL to read the file and load in to fnd_lobs. Later I would like this attachment available thru UI.
    Looking for Public or Private APIs to achieve above task.
    Thanks,

  • API for loading inventory org access for responsibilities

    Hi there,
    I need to give Inventory Organization Access to more then 100 responsiibilities. Is there an api that I can use that would load this information into org_access table? I am on 12.1.2 version of EBS.
    Thanks
    Irina.

    I am not aware of any api for this.
    You can consider using a key-mapping software such as Data loader / winparrot
    OR
    you can write your own script to insert records into the table. It should be a straight forward insert. You just need to ensure that the combination of organization_id, responsibility_id and application_id is valid.

  • Command or Canvas Events for Recording ?? Please Help..

    Hi I am Abhijith I am a total newbie to the j2me world, And I am learning it now,
    My project topic is "Bluetooth Walkie Talkie " , And I am trying my best and putting
    all my efforts to code incrementally by learning , Before I could implement bluetooth,
    I thought let me complete the recording The audio and playing part first,
    The recording and playing of audio is working fine , But i would like to do it a real manner as Real Walkie talkie does, I want to record audio ONLY when the Key is being
    pressed , and when its released it should exit the player hence saving the recorded file,
    (Actually i dont want to save it in future,i would be sending the bytearray though the bluetooth , but for now , I want the Current module to be ready)
    I tried my best searching online to implement my requirement but the couldnot find
    such events I found Canva's KEYPRESS, KEYRELEASE , etc events but they dint not
    serve my purpose, Let me clearly tell where I am stuck , After the midlet starts(by launching it) then i would like to press a key( keypressed say No 5) for certain
    amount of time and the audio should be recorded only for the keypressed duration ,
    after I release , it should stop recording and save as a wav file .
    Whats happening is When i keep the key pressed , The midlet asks whether to allow
    the recording , for this purpose when I release key the control is going out, and
    i am not able to achieve the needed , I am posting the code here, Please Help me.
    I am not asking for the complete spoon feeding or ready made code, But as a beginner
    I need help from you all to learn and implement it.(at least it should satisfy me,i would feel i have learnt something then)
    Here below is my code ( i AM using WTK 2.5 )

    The control goes out when midlet asks whether to allow recording ,
    I thank you anticipation ...

    Midlet asking whether to allow the recording are typical permissions prompts specified by MIDP security policy. You need to sign the MIDlet and give it proper permissions.
    Problems like this were discussed in an older thread at WTK forum: *[MIDlet keeps asking for permission.|http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5347313]* According to one of the posters in the thread, +"...I got it to work on the emulator by setting the permission to 'manufacturer'. It runs smoothly without annoying questions..."+
    If you're interested, check documentation and tutorials on MIDP security policy for more details.
    For events to record audio only when the key is being pressed, consider GameCanvas API, method getKeyStates.
    I am not certain though if doing it this way is a good idea. I doubt that phone users have same habits as those of walkie-talkies; for them it might be indeed more comfortable to use single simple key presses to start and finish recording.

  • Search for records by Remote Key or Remote System in Data Manager

    Hi all,
    We have a requirement to search for records by Remote key and/or Remote System at the main table level. Is it possible to do this using the Data Manager? If so, how?
    Thanks in advance!
    Lavanya.

    Hi,
    I crosschecked with MDM 5.5 and Don't think it is possible through Data Manager. How ever using APIs you can search records using remote key/ remote system.
