I also have the plugin (1.4.1) installed on my computer. When I test my web page, I'm directed to download the plugin. When I download the plugin, the installer informs me that I already have 1.4.1 installed, and asks if I want to uninstall it. When I uninstall and then re-install the plugin, and then run the applet again, it still tells me I need to download the plugin.
What gives?

Is that the exact code that the Java Plugin HTML Converter output? I ask because, if you put the wrong clsid in there for the version you need, then it does weird things with version numbers.
(The way to guarantee that the code is right no matter what version you want to use is to use JSP and <jsp:plugin>/<jsp:param>.)

doesn't scream it'd be a problem to load it especially since I already own a later version that I can't use the plugin on - …I don't find the site all that informative. I appreciate all the answers & responses to my use of CS2 but I'd really just like to receive an answer to the original question of if the plugin works with it or not…if anyone has that answer I'd appreciate it.
Is there a place I can purchase it? I will gladly do so if I can get the plugin to work-that is my goal.

InDesign CS5, can't open file due to plugins problem

Hi folks!
I'm on Max OSX 10.5.8 and i am currently using a trial version of CS5 (Design Premium) while work sorts out the cash for the upgrade.
I work inhouse, and I needed to send an artwork file to an external design agency. I saved the file in CS5. The agency have CS5. When they open it, they get an error message to say they don't have the plugins needed to open it. We've never had any plugins, I'm not aware of any that would come with the trial that don't come with the bought version, so i don't know what to do.
Is there a way of saving a file without saving these "plugins" along with it? Or is there something else i can do?
Any help much appreciated

Well well guys, your experience in such matters prevails, after me emailing the agency mentioning again that it is a CS5 file and asking for a screenshot of the problem they came back and said they had figured it out themselves, turns out they are in the process of swapping all the team over to CS5 and the particular member that tried to open this file, was, yes, you guessed it, using CS4. Doh!

Skillbuilders modal page plugin problems in Apex 4.1

Hi,
I have applied the Skillbuilders modal page plugin in my application. Everything works fine except that when I close the popup window - my parent window is not getting refreshed.
I have put the dynamic action - Auto Close modal and action as - Refresh report on parent page.
Settings:
Event : Auto Close [Skill Builders Modal Page]
Selection Type : DOM Object
DOM Object: document
No condition

Dear Dan,
I have the same problem, the main report is not refreshing after adding or editing values and the success message is not showing after the DA taking place and closing the modal.
another problem i am facing with oracle cloud which is when is when the modal loads, it gives me the following error :

Can anyone help with my Shutterfly export plugin problem?

My Shutterfly plugin for iPhoto says that I have the wrong password. I double-checked on the Shutterfly website and I have the correct password. This is very inconvenient because I can't upload my photos to make a book. Shutterfly said it's a problem with iPhoto. Any ideas?
I uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin but it didn't work.
It used to work just fine.

It is not a problem with iPhoto since iPhoto has no support of any sort for Sutterfly - if you have a ShutterFly plug in it is not an Apple plug in - it is from ShutterFly or a third party - you need to contact the author for usupport on their product

Smartsound Quicktracks Plugin Problem

After making the mistake of upgrading to iTunes 5, I now get a windows installer message looking for 'Smartsound Quicktracks Plugin.msi" everytime I boot up the PC. It's looking for this plugin. I was using the previous version of iTunes. I've tried uninstalling Quicktime and re-installing with the same problem. Will reverting back to earlier iTunes wipe out my purchased music and should I attempt to do this? It's a pain to keep clicking on cancel everytime I boot up.

The "Smartsound Quicktracks" plug-in has nothing at all to do with Apple's QuickTime for Windows software.
You must have downloaded it and then (maybe) uninstalled it. And it didn't uninstall completely or properly.
It's not an error message from any of your installed Apple software.

PDF plugin problem

Hello everyone,
a customer of us is having problems displaying PDF forms in Workspace ES. They are using IE7 with Reader 9.2. Reader is the standard application for PDF files, the "Display PDFs in browser" option has been set, but Workspace is still displaying the "You must install Adobe Reader to view this form" message. It also doesn't work if Reader is open in the background during the process.
What can be the reason for this? What can be checked to find out the reason why this problem is persisting? Maybe somebody knows what triggers this message box?

Hi John,
as it turned out, there is a setting in IE where you can enable/disable ActiveX plugins. I do NOT refer to the overall ActiveX settings, but the "Manage AddOns" option in the settings dialog. There, each specific addon can be disabled/enabled separately. With some versions of Reader 9 there seemed to be a problem that (for unknown reasons) the Reader plugin was in a disabled state. Maybe you can check that?

Adobe Flash Player Plugin Problem (Not listed)

Installed latest Adobe Flash Player, continually have to enable and disable if for YouTube I have tried uninstalling and re-installing and Firefox itself too, got all the updates. Playing icecast stream with flash-plugin problem

Hello,
i've got a problem playing an mp3 stream from a livecast
server with the flash-plugin (version 8,0,24) on IE (version
6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519)
On my pc it plays fine, on another pc (with the same
versions) it doesn't play at all.
Though in will play fine in firefox on both pc's.
I can see in the icecast admin that there are listeners
connected, so it has to be flash that's not playing the stream it's
receiving.

.docx file received from a Windows user isn't displaying scientific writing in Word 2011 in OS X 10.6.8 - font or plugin problem?

I've tried searching everywhere and found similar issues, but nothing exactly this. I'm trying to format a document which was created in a Windows version of Word (unsure which year). However, the document has some scientific writing and minor equations (I assume), and they're just displaying as blank boxes, as if the font isn't installed. It says they should be in Cambria Math.
In Word 2011, Cambria and Calibri aren't displaying as installed fonts and they're listed as "heading fonts" separately in the drop-down, although they do show as all good in FontBook, and when I change to that font in the document, it does change to look like it's Cambria/Calibri. Highlighting and changing the font just changes it to code (ie: "PriBC", or "Cij", not a symbol) but it still says that it's "Cambria Math" after the change.
After some research I tried installing a trial of MathType in case that helped them display. When I highlight the symbols in Word, the MathType plugin pops up to deal with it, but I still can't get it to change to equations - either they disappear completely if I click to convert it to professional display, or they turn into codes like the one mentioned above under letter display. Admittedly, I don't have experience with this, so I'm wondering if there's something I should be requesting of the other person, some extra bundle of information to save in with the Word file?
There has also been one pop-up once that said that I didn't have Cambria installed on my system, which doesn't seem right, either.
On the plus side, my font collection is tidier than it's ever been. But on the downside, I still can't figure this out! Either, do you have suggestions how I can fix it from my end, or what details or steps I should specifically ask of the other person? (They're not particularly computer-literate, which is part of the problem.)

Update: I upgraded to Mavericks today (10.9.1) and since then, problem solved! Don't know why that was the magic fix, but it was.

Opera plugin problem

The problem is following:
Opera 7.51 + Java Plugin 1.4.2
With this configuration javax.imageio.ImageIO.read(url) doesn't work from applet. The applet works nice inside Internet Explorer with the same Java Plugin, but not inside Opera.
This is a init() method of applet, the simplest of simplest. The applet is loaded, of course, from localhost. Any image formats have been tryed.

I had the same problem a few minutes ago with the following setup:
Debian GNU/Linux Sarge
Java 1.5.0.2
Opera 8.0 Beta 1 (Debian Sarge package)
I have now upgraded to Opera 8.0 Beta 3 (Debian Sarge package) and now it works. It seems Opera has fixed the problem. Can anyone confirm this?

Plugin problem, LR 3.3

Recently (possibly since the installation of Windows 7 SP1) my JF tree publisher plugin has stopped working in lightroom 3.3. It loads, but is disabled because it says it "Could not load the post-processing filter from this plug-in". The plugins diagnostic file has the following:

I'm getting very similar error messages for many of Jeffrey's plugins--did you ever resolve the issue?
the jr Flickr plugin was enabled and working fine for a while, then it stopped and I have been unable to get most of the jf plugins since, while most plugins from other sources (e.g., Photographer's toolbox), work. I'm in touch with Jeffrey about it but so far its not making sense to him. I'm running Windows 7, the latest LR. I"ve uninstalled and reinstalled LR 3.6, re-downloaded the plugins. Tried on a new LR catalog. Nothing fixes it.

Hi,
Please check your codebase parameter again. That part of the directory (web-inf\classes is not visible to client i.e he cann't access it. By default the classes stored under web-inf\classes directory can be accessed from the jsp.
Please find the extract from apache site related to this.
"WEB-INF/classes/ - This directory contains any Java class files (and associated resources) required for your application, including both servlet and non-servlet classes, that are not combined into JAR files. If your classes are organized into Java packages, you must reflect this in the directory hierarchy under WEB-INF/classes/. For example, a Java class named com.mycompany.mypackage.MyServlet would need to be stored in a file named WEB-INF/classes/com/mycompany/mypackage/MyServlet.class.

IPlanet Web Server (Sun One Web Proxy Server SP3).
Once I configure the plugin the web server instance fails to start with the following
error message:

Flash cs6 osmf loading static plugin problems

Hello everyone...im using the osmf walkthroughs to learn static plugins...im having a problem with the WTO8_SimplePlugin walkthrough
i keep getting:

Unfortunately it's a compile time error not a runtime error. If it was runtime then yes you could certainly check the typical isSupported() method most ANEs have. Although you need to compile to get to that point and the compiler is throwing the error.
Flash CS5.5 didn't have a problem because you needed to package with ADT command line to include a native extension as it had no idea what it was so it makes sense you could test using it. Flash Builder users (which has had ANE support) have had to deal with keeping ANEs from being packaged to avoid the same compiler errors you're getting. We're very used to the PITA that it is
All an ANE developer needs to do is provide an implementation for a particular platform, even if it doesn't work, and you won't get errors. During creating the static library for the ANE the iOS developer could specify support for it in the build. Unfortunately the ANE you're using doesn't have that. It's telling Flash it only works on a device.
