PNPCE with Time Management   Urgent!!!

Hi,
I got a Project using PNPCE LDB on Time Management. They  didn't mention Unicode any where in the Specs.
But, when I was trying to do a simple test program with PNPCE LDB mentioned in attributes and I didn't even check Unicode but it is giving this syntax Error.
"  The program is not Unicode-compatible, according to its program attributes. "
Though I avoided this I coulldn't execute the Program.
Can anyone please help me.How to proceed with this.
Thank You,
Swapna

Hi Chander,
You can read 0027 similar to how you read 0002 concatenation in PNPCE.

  • SAP Travel Management Integration with Time Management

    Hello Gurus,
Need some assistance with Travel integration with Time Management.
    Scenario.
Punch in Punch out system at the client so when the employee is traveling or when he enters the Trip Request, after approval the attendance should be counted.
Is there a config step for the same or a BADI needs to be implemented in this scenario ?
    Regards,
    BLITZZ

A direct update of time infotypes is not possible. You can however switch on the integration in view V_T702N_A. With add. user parameter START_CATS = X you have the possibility to jump to CAT2 to record the time. For the update of the infotypes you have to follow the subsequent steps in time management.

  • Waht does time management status 0 without payroll integration mean

In our project, the client does not want to use time evaluation and so, we have set the time management status value as 0 (no time evaluation). Also, the client is not implementing (at least now) SAP-Payroll, as they are processing payroll through a different software. We have configured work schedules ( they need just 4 different work schedules) and assigned appropriate ork schedules to all employees in infotype 0007. We have also configured one absence quota (Earned Leave of 20 days per year).
My query is how will the system behave now with time management status value as 0? Can we process absence quotas? What is the use of work schedules, in this context, as any way the system does not evaluate employee time in Time Management. Neither the time wage types are evaluted in Payroll, as SAP Payroll is not implemented.
    -Shambhvi

My thanks to all of you. I would like to summarize the answer for my query:
Since time management status = 0, there won't be any time evaluation, which means attendance and absence data, even if entered won't be evaluated in Time Management. Since Payroll is not implemented, the question of time data getting evaluated in Payroll does not exist. However, absence quotas can be maintained, irrespective of the value of time managment status.
Please correct me, if my understanding is wrong

  • Change Time Management status

    Hi All,
We have presently uploaded all the employes in the system with Time management status - zero.  We would like to change the status from zero to 7 now.
Please suggest me the best possible way to achieve this. Total employees in the system are close to 70k.
    Thanks,
    Binu

    Hey Binu,
As Rashid said correctly, TMSTA feature is used to default Time Management Status i.e when you create or change then it will default the TMSTA value. Its of no use to you.
I would recommend BDC method because for LSMW you will have to create a file and upload it.
Write the BDC using below logic.
    1. Select the Active employees using PA0001-PERSK = 1.
    2. Change (MOD) the TMSTA of IT 0007 to your requirement
Selection screen can have employee numbers.
Ask you ABAPer to record the screen using SHDB for changing the IT 0007 i.e
    1. PA30 - select your EE - IT 0007 - Change
    2. On IT 0007 you change TMSTA and SAVE
IT should be done in no time.
    cheers

  • Time Management Status

    Hi Experts,
Im relatively new to this fourm, and also to Time Management Module.
We are implementing Negative Time Management for our client.
Have a clarification with Time Management Status.
I have suggested '0' to be defaulted as it is going to be Negative time management.
Just for my understanding would like to know the difference between the time management status 0, 7 & 9.
Also we have LWOP and Holiday Wages in place.
    your expert answers awaited...
    Cheers,
    Sri...

    Indicator 0 or BLANK:
The employee's actual times are not recorded, and his/her time data is not accounted using the time evalulation program.
    Indicator 1:
The employee's actual times are recorded and he/she participates in time evaluation.
    Example:
The employee's actual times are recorded at a time recording terminal.
The employee's actual times are recorded in the Attendances infotype (2002).
    Indicator 2:
Employees' actual times are recorded and they take part in plant data collection. Their time data is accounted using the time evaluation program.
    Example:
Employees' actual times are recorded using PDC systems.
Employees' actual times are recorded in the Attendances infotype (2002).
    Indicator 8:
This indicator is intended for external employees. The employee's actual times are not recorded, attendances are recorded in the Attendances infotype (2002), and time data is accounted in time evaluation.
    Indicator 9:
You can use indicator 9 for employees for whom only exceptions to the work schedule are recorded. In this case, the employees' actual times are not recorded, but they do participate in time evaluation.
    I hope it helps you!!!

  • LSO & Time management

Hi, we are using LSO with time management integration
Does anybody know where SAP saves the link between a participation in a course and the correspondent attendance entry in infotype 2002?
    Thanks!

    Hi Silva
If I understand your requirement correctly, you want to develop a report which would show the exact attendance hours of an employee for a Course but not the attendance hours stored against the attendance types (T77S0 attendance types).
If the above is your requirement, I think you can still manage to meet this requirement by having Course Schedule (HRT1035) - Attendance Hours (IT2002 T77S0 attendance type). Because when you have a participant who is not present for a course I guess you would create absence in IT2001. When you create the absences and if that absence is colliding with attendance then attendnace record will be altered accordingly.
You can use standard followup report and can copy and modify it to meet your requirement.
If SAP had some kind of link (a field or function), will be very helpful for me
I think you need modify standard LSO Followup Screen to have absence hours field, so that during course followup absence hours can be entered and the same need to be updated in Infotype 2001 which in turn will update the attendance hours and provide you exact attendance hours (Standard modification which is obviously NOT Recommended) LLSO_FOLLOWUP include i guess.
    Hope this helps
    Best Regards
    Reddy

  • Is it possible to use run-time configuration in conjunction with Session Manager?

I'm trying to avoid using MAX, basically because it's a pain for users to configure MAX when the application already knows what the configuration is. I actually get the configuration from a database, but that's another story. I've experimented with run-time configuration (see page 4-31 of the 'IVI Driver Toolset' manual) and it works fine. However, when I try to use this in conjunction with Session Manager, session manager complains that my logical name is not a driver session name. I suspect that Session Manager is looking up logical names from a different source, therefore run-time configuration won't work. Any suggestions? I've attached the files I'm working with.

    Hello Mark:
The Session Manager GetLogicalNames method does not distiguish between logical names and virtual instrument names. A user of the method cannot ask for just logical names or just virtual instrument names. Right now you always get both. The new function is called InstrSessionMgr.GetNames. Notice that the online help file says Boolean for the flags parameter when it is an enum.
Hope this helps. If you have any further queries, please let us know.

    Hi
Please go through this functional module HRMS_BIW_EXTRACT_PY1 in r/3 side to know the exact table where u r getting the data.
There are lot of tables involved in HR-payroll info types.
As far as your problem is concerned you take one employee and go to PA20 and analyse the payroll for each week or twice a month (depends up on ur client)
run the report on the payroll cube and find out exactly what u want.

Hi Veeresh I dont think the table T554C is for any technical wagetypes.
This is the view maintained for absence valuation in PAyroll. For instance this is used to prorate ur salary as per the number of loss of pay days.

  • Document on Positive Time Management & Integration with payroll

    Hi,
Can any one suggest me any link from where I will get the IMG steps of Positive time management implemetation, time evaluation, time wagetype detail as well as the steps of integration with payroll..
    Thanks in advance.
    Ajay

    Hi Chandrashekar,
Can you please advise how actually the transfer of clock times from time recording terminals to SAP R/3 will work?
I read from help.sap.com that there is a SAP certified CC1 interface (BAPI based) which can be used for this purpose. However, in such a case, the time recording terminals should be SAP CC1 certified.
If the time recording terminals are not SAP CC1 certified, then what is the method to be used? Will we write a custom BDC program in this scenario and what all should be considered in functional specification of such a BDC program.
    Please advise.
    Thanks and warm regards,
    Vianshu

  • Difference between a positive time and negative time management.Explain with screenshots.

    Hi gurus!
I would like to know the difference between Positive time management and negative time management.
    thx & regards,
    raju

    Hi Nagaraju,
    I am adding more information..
Whether or not an employee is on positive or negative time is determined by the time management status on IT0007. Status 1 or 2 = positive time; status 9 = negative time.
In a standard system, positive time recording means the employee is required to record time (absence or attendance) for any day on which he is scheduled to work according to his generated work schedule. Negative time recording means an employee does not need to record time unless he has an exception to his normal working time; so absences are typically recorded as well as overtime or time work on days for which the employee is not scheduled to work.
Schema TM00 is used to process positive time employees for whom clock times are entered; that is, every record has a start and end time.
Schema TM04 processes both positive and negative time employees. The key distinction between TM00 and TM04 is TM04 does not require start and end times on every entry. Records with start and end times cna be processed in TM04. However, the records do not require these entries.
In TM04 you will see code using IF, ELSE, ENDIF statements during the import process to separate the import of time data for positive and negative time employees.
Positive time employees use the following data import statements in the schema:
P2011 Import IT2011 records to TIP; regardless of whether the EE has IT2011, load the work schedule to TZP. If no IT2011 record exists, TIP is empty.
    P2001 Load absences
    P2002 Load attendances
Negative time employees use the following data import statements:
P2000 This is the critical difference between positive and negative employees. P2000 loads the daily work schedule to the TIP table as if the employee workede; that is, if the employee is scheduled to work from 8:00 to 17:00, this record will now appear on TIP. The work schedule details are also added to TZP.
P2001 Load absences -- to pick up exceptions to planned working time
P2002 Load attendances -- again to pick up exceptions, special costing information, overtime, alternate payments, premiums or any other variation from normal schedule work.
So if you want to determine if you are using positive or negative time, check the time management status on the employees.
    Regards
    Siva
