PO ownership issue

Hi,
In purcahsing When i create a BPA then a email failure delivery notification is coming regarding some user who is inactive now, stating that he is the owner of that BPA. The issue is with every new BPA we create. The user is inactive and we have removed from approval hierarchy also .Can you please help me where should i check to remove this user so that we won't get any failure delivery notice.

When you create the new BPA, make sure that the buyer on the BPA is not active user.
Also make sure that the item master record does not show the inactive user as the default buyer.

  • OS level Ownership issue..

    Hi,
We have changed ownership of oracle directories and files from dba to a_dba group and user is oracle. We are able to startup the database and everything is normal. Issue is only with sys account login... When we are trying to connect / as sysdba at that time it's throwing " Insufficient Privilege" error. But at the same time we are able to login as an "sys as sysdba" with proper password.. everything is in proper place.. we are using password file. Is any step I am missing changing ownership group...?

If you changed your dba group name, you need to modify $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/lib/config.s and relink your Oracle executables.

  • External drive and IGNORE OWNERSHIP issue

So here at work we share an external drive where we ALL share the files. And a good bit of the time one of us tries to open or save a file and it saws one of several things like "access denied" or "you don't have the right privileges and you will not be able to save changes" Anyway if I go in and get info on the external drive and click the "ignore ownerships" box all seems to be well...for a while. BUT the drive will sporadically decide to UNCHECK that button. It's very annoying. Any FIX for this issues.
Oh, I also have it "locked" which I assume means it can't be changed but that is not the case. Any help is appreciated Thanks.

Sorry, I don't know anything about Silverlining -- I'm a moderator at the Bombich (CCC) forums. If Silverlining allows for attaching a post-cloning script ask the Silverlining developer/distributor. If not, ask for help (even though the script will be pretty simple you may well need some troubleshooting until it works perfectly) in one of the scripting forums (AppleScript or Unix), e.g. this one.

  • Dealing with Table Ownership Issues

I'm trying to migrate our database from SS7 to O9i; however, all of the tables in the SS7 database are owned by "dbo", which seems to translate as "null" in the OMWB, and when the OMWB tries to create a table in the new model with an ownership of "null", it throws an exception.
Is there a way of configuring the OMWB so that it can create tables as a particular user when it encounters "dbo" in the SS7 database? This would be better for us than trying to reassign ownership in all of our SS7 tables.

    Hi richard,

  • Ownership issues on a 10.4.7 network volume

I am having an issue with ownership on certain files stored on our file server.
The artworkers all copy files (Quark, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign) to their desktop before working, as quite often they are graphically heavy and we recommend they work local saving updates to the server through the day to avoid potential crashes. Now, the problem is that once a file has been worked on locally, it changes the ownership to that of the person who was working on that file, and consequently can cause an issue if someone else comes to work on the job.
Is there any way that I can make sure that all files uploaded to the server instantly inherit the permissions of their parent folders, so as to avoid issues with ownership? The only soultion I can come up with is generic log ins, which is not suitable for this particular environment.
XServe running 10.4.7. with Apple RAID serving as file storgae.

If ACLs are enabled on the volume, the posix inherit option will be greyed out.
If you are not using ACLs (you would know if you were), then you could turn ACLs off and the option to inherit will be available.
    To turn ACLs off:
    In WorkGroupManager, click Sharing.
Click the 'All' tab, then scroll the box below it all the way to the left.
You should now see your volumes (hard drives).
Select the volume where the share points are, and in the General section you'll see a checkbox to enable/disable ACLs.

  • IC WinClient 5.0 - Case ownership issue

    Hello,
We have an issue where we need to do the following:
If an agent answers an email, if the customer responds to that email, then this response should be automatically assigned to the original agent.
I was thinking that we might be able to use the case number and place it on the email somewhere, so that crm could reference the last person responsible for the case and then assign the email to them.
Iu2019m not sure how we would do this. Any help/suggestions?
    Thank you,
    Mohit

    Hello Mohit,
Yes, as I mentioned above in my first response, these two default actions will route the customer's response email to whichever agent is currently assigned to the ticket or case (where the ticket or case tracking ID was inserted by the agent or system into a reply email that was sent in response to a customer's original email). In addition the customer's response email will be linked/threaded to the existing email thread of all emails linked to the ticket or case. But if you really want the email to be routed to the agent who first responded to the initial customer email (rather than to the agent who currently owns the case to which all the emails are linked) then you would need to copy the standard action and modify it. However, my recommendation would be to modify your business processes to take advantage of the SAP recommneded best practice and default action -- unless you really have a unique business process where it makes sense to send the customer's email back to whoeve first responded rather than to whoever is working on the issue now.
    Best regards,
    John

  • Permissions/ Ownership issues after time machine restore

I moved from one macbook pro to another a few months ago. I opened the brand new one up, and set it up with the same account name as my old one.
I then proceeded to restore my old data from a time machine backup using the migration assistant.
Apparently there were some issues trying to migrate from a backup with the same name as the owner of the new computer, so I had to pick a new one. I then switched back over using the root user.
Even though I'm the only account on the computer besides root, and have admin privileges, some programs won't install or upgrade, I get a system message saying that I have insufficient privileges.
Is there any way to give the one account complete control of my system? I don't like having to use root that much. Thanks for your help!

Similar issues. My iMac had one of the Seagate 1TB drives that was part of the recall program. After I loaded Maverick, I started having issues that seemed to be disk related and I started getting some Time Machine errors...never had any errors until installing Maverick.
Since I was outside my 3 Yr warranty...Apple would only cover 1/2 the costs of replacing my "faulty" drive. Can't believe this was their policy to make me pay 1/2 for a drive they've known to have enough problems to announce a recall? They told me the problem was Seagate...I refuted by telling them...no...it's Apple. Can you believe they would try to pass the buck on Seagate...Apple has their label on my machine and they are the ones that negotiated the recall with Seagate? Whew!
So I took in my Time Machine backup via a 1TB External Seagate drive...and now the fun begins. I've had my system in to the Genius bar for several weeks...many trips. I've learned to not take my machine home without test driving myself as they tend to only fix 1 of the permissions issues at a time. It doesn't seem they really know what's going on...which is pretty scarey.
Anyway...the fix they seemed to use in the store was to rename my user directory and then create a new user directory with my original name...then copy everything in the renamed directory into the new directory. That fixed issues with Mail...but now my mail is totally screwed. Can't believe the work I had to do to get my mail folders all back to somewhat normal. iMovie couldn't find my movies folder. iCloud preview pane wasn't opening. I couldn't save/write to my internal disk on most of my apps. The one app I didn't test before leaving the store was iTunes. It's still screwed up and I'm not sure the chmod command will fix it...I think they tried this as an initial fix at the store. What a nitemare...
    Open to any suggestions. Thanks!

  • Workfow Process Management - Take Ownership issue

    Hi All,
We are on Hyperion planning 11.1.2 and just started using Workflow process mgmt of type "Bottom Up". It is happened that one of the planning unit owners went on vacation and when the top level user (budget administrator) takes ownership of these planning units, write access is not getting transferred. All web forms cells are grayed out. Budget administrator has write access at all levels (Confirmed when looked at other scenario where it is not enabled for PM). Not sure what we are doing wrong. Can you guys throw some light...
Thanks for your help in advance.
    Regards,
    Praveen

Yes budget administrator is one of the reviewers.
How to handle this situation. I tried with one of the planner (who is not part of the Process Mgmt and who have write access at all levels) to take ownership from initial owner but it is not allowed to take. Is there any way to take ownership of the planning units and submit data. Please let me know.
    Thanks,
    Praveen

  • Resolving IPOD ownership issue

Does the iTunes software installed on my PC (Windows) keep a running track of all previously connected iPods?
I have a case of an iPod that my son brought home (another kid's iPod) and it came up missing. Now - another iPod has turned up and I'm trying to solve the mystery.
    Any help??

iTunes doesn't keep track of all previously connected iPods (at least, not that I know of). However, you can find the serial number for the last iPod that was connected to your computer by using the "upload the serial number of my last connected iPod" function on this page. You can then compare it to the serial number on the iPod that turned up.

  • Not able to create disaster recovery VMM -- ovm pool / repository ownership issue

I have installed VMM and VMS and create a server pool with 3.0.2 version.
To test disaster recovery, I rebuild the VMM with the old UUID by
    runInstaller.sh --uuid 0004fb00000100002ae.....
    and restore the repository database.
The new VMM (same IP as old one) can recognize the VMS but can not complete the clone process. Couple hours later, all VMSs reboot and the event showed: server cluster is down. After that, I can clone the VM from template as before. But I when I use "Edit the server pool" to assign Master Server, it show:
OVMRU_000039E Cannot perform operations. Server pool: VMSP1, is owned by another manager.
How to query the owner of Server pool and how to fix?

  • Permissions/Ownership issue? [Solved]

Running KDE 3.5.8, I can open Konqueror, and click any text or openOffice fileand open it. Everything pretty much works as expected.
If I open File Manager - Superuser Mode, and try to open these same files, it fails with errors like <KDEInit could not launch 'kwrite'.>  I can open these files with nano from the konsole window, so I can tell that it only happens in KDE.
I did some searching and did not find anything that helped so far. Anyone have an idea where I should look?

I've had the same problem.  Here's what I've found:
Started after upgrading to xorg-xinit-1.0.7-3 today.
I edit a file with vim, get "No protocol specified" message.
I see "... X: client 9 rejected from local host ..." messages ( I boot to level 3, login as a default user, then startx to X and fluxbox, then su - to other users.  The message is seen in the default user startx term. )
    I can't open the display:
    (firefox-bin:8400): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0.0
    [1]+  Exit 1                  /opt/mozilla/bin/firefox
xorg-xinit-1.0.7-3 has a new file: /etc/X11/xinit/xserverrc which has a single line:
    exec /usr/bin/X -nolisten tcp
From previous experience I know that with my setup, this will prevent me from opening Firefox, etc.
As broch said, xhost+ will "fix" it.  I was using xhost +localhost, but that no longer works.
Overall, this is a better setup, as netstat -tap no longer shows any X listeners.  And I have shorewall running on the box.  Still I'd like to find something a little less "blunt force" than xhost+.

  • Itunes phone ownership issues

Bought myself new iphone4 gave iphone3 to wife, succesfully set up new 4 but cannot get itunes to recognize wife as new owner. Old phone still showed pho. in my name, have set up new itunes account for wife but itunes still uses my backup and tried to buy her an app. and although it downloaded on her phone went to my account info.and credit card. We do not have a family plan each has own plan however receive one bill with my pho. as primary. How do I get her totally on the old phone?

Restore the 3G with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the iPhone's backup. You can change the name of the iPhone when connected to iTunes. After selecting the iPhone under Devices in the iTunes source list, click on the iPhone to highlight the name to change the name to whatever you want - no different from changing the name of an iTunes playlist, or changing the name of a folder or file name on your computer.
Before syncing the iPhone with iTunes, iTunes needs to be logged in to your wife's iTunes account. There is no need to have separate iTunes accounts. There is no limit for the number of iPods and/or iPhones that can be synced with the same iTunes library and iTunes account on the same computer and each device can have its own sync preferences with iTunes.

  • Hi! So I am using a MacBook Pro with Retina Display, and I am having some trouble issues with sharing documents on Google.

I am part of a 2 person group, who's entering a documentary for the NHD competiton. If you don't know what that is here's a link: http://www.nhd.org. Anyway, that doesn't really matter. What does matter, is that my partner and I, we're using Final Cut Pro X to make the documentary. I downloaded the Final Cut Pro X trial on my MacBook Pro so I could work on our documentary at home. My partner Cecilia, wanted to work on it as well, but using Windows Media Player or something like that. My family uses a lot more Apple than windows. So I come home, work a little on our documentary, go under file ---> share ------> masterfile---> settings-----> Video Codec -----> H.264. A couple seconds/ miniutes (it didn't take very long) later, I see our documentary as a Quick Time file pop up under my documents. I then log into gmail. i click compose, type in my partners e-mail, and then click the little paper clip to attach my new quick time file. Considering that it's 11 minutes long and is filled with media and audio, It's no suprise when I see that it exceeds the limit of ...gigabytes i think. So i send it to her using google drive. However, a couple minutes later, my partner says that she can see the file, but can't seem to download it. I double-check and make sure that I, as the owner, allowed her to edit the file. Then I check to see if i accidently clicked: "Prevent viewer from downloading" which I hadn't. Then i, myself, click on the file and click download and it works fine for me, but apparently doesn't work at all for her windows computer. This means that there's somethig wrong with her computer, or I did something wrong while sharing the file. Any ideas as to why the whole downloading process worked on my Apple Laptop and not her Windows Computer?
