Poor Service Support and Con Job by Nokia at Visak...

Hi all,
I purchased a Nokia N97 on 28 Sep 09 from Nokia Priority dealer at Visakhapatnam (address: SHop no 15 & 16, Pavan Commercial Complex, Dabagardens, Visakhapatnam). The very next day I had to go back to the dealer with the phone as it's battery was running out too frequently without the GPRS being active. I was told by Mr SSK Chakravarti of the Nokia Priority Dealer that the handset required continuous charging for 9 hours for three successive days. On pointing out to him that it was clearly indicated on page 20 of the user manual that there was no prior charging required, he stated that it was a publicity gimmick of Nokia. He thereafter uploaded softwares on my phone and sent me back asking me not to worry at all. I did so and had to depart out of station for work on the very next day. On 01 Oct 09, I saw that my phone was discharged and was not recharging. I decided to get back to the showroom on returning to Visakhapatnam. On 08 Oct 09, when I reached Visakhapatnam, I sent my representative to the shop as I was preoccupied. My represantitive was redirected to the Nokia Service Centre who declared that the phone was dead and had to be sent to the company. My representative asked him to send the phone to the company and replace the set as the defect had earlier been reported within 27 hours. To which the person dealing there agreed and asked him to come back the next day. The next day on 09 Oct 09, I personally took the phone to the Service Centre and was told that nothing could be done. He asked me to submit the phone which I had to do and was asked to contact him on Monday 12 Oct 09. In the meanwhile I sent the necessary details to Nokia on the website and got a reply from one Seauli Hati and then from Ms Rachana Thimaiah. They asked me for details of the service centre which I informed them that I would be able to give them only on Monday as the receipts were with my staff who had gone off for the weekend. Today I have submitted the details in the form of scanned copies of the receipts of purchase and deposit of handset. The Service Centre tells me that nothing has been done on the handset and that I should contact him tomorrow. Seauli Hati and Rachana Thimaiah have spoken about the handset being repaired. However, I would wish to know - How many of you would like to pay Rs 31600/- and not be able to use the handset even for 24 hours and thereafter accept a repaired handset.
I think Nokia is on a Con Job!! I am disappointed with the services and would strongly advice everyone not to buy the Nokia handsets.

Terrible Customer Service Experience: Starting on 1/14 when I called the Dbulin, OH location I was met with rude and uncaring customer service personnel: Dashawnaa, Daniel and Brian.  Most recently Brian placed me on hold without allowing me to talk and I have been on hold for 15 minutes without him getting back on the line (he said it would be 5 minutes).  All in I have spent almost 2 hours on the phone today!   I found an issue with my bill that goes back 2 years for a service I never 'Authorized' but was told I was ignorant about my bill and that I did 'Authorize' it despite the simple fact that I NEVER 'Authorized' the service.    I plan on leaving Verizon as soon as possible if not sooner if I don't get some help on this.  In the end it is between $80-85 I am looking for a correction on my bill for two applications I did NOT authorize.   Feedback will be filed anywhere possible to warn others of the poor service!

  • BB Poor service support system

I bought Blackberry curve 8520 from Jareer store, Alkhobar, Saudi Arabia. I
unable to setup my personal email id in the phone because there is no option to set
up my email id. As per the catalogue there must be two options. One option
is for Blackberry server and another is for our own personal email id. The second option is not available in my phone. I tried to solve by myself by getting the support from Blasckberry technical support. Sent email, but NO RESPONSE. There is no system to send my complaints. All ready made answers which is not covering my question.
I went to Jareer bookstore to enquire. They said we have to enter in the black=
berry bundle with any service provider like STC or Mobily. Then only we can
get this options. To enter in to their package we have to pay SR 99 per
month. This is not advertised or informed or mentioned anywhere when we puchase the device. This is not fair. I feel like I am cheated. Also I can not get any other alternative email service or settings for Jawalnet from STC because Blackberry is not even listed in STC recoganized device list.
Now to get email and other internet service either I should enter into the blackberry bundle  which will cost SR 99 /month which is very expensive for me or else I should buy another mobile. For other company mobiles no need of any fixed package requirements. We can get the Internet service from the carrier on per usage chargable basis.
So, I am totally DISAPPOINTED of purchasing a Blackberry phone. No support, No service backup. No transperancy. This is my experience.
    Is there any solution ???

Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
It appears to me that you received perfectly correct techinical support, advising you to ge the BlackBerry Data plan on your mobile provider account.
The fact that you don't like that answer, does not mean that is poor or not helpful.
The need for a BlackBerry Data Plan on your device is mentioned quite frequently, at least on this website and carrier websites that I see. Perhpas you did not do your research thoroughly enough.
Anyway, now you know your answer. Good luck.

  • Poor Service Support for BB 8830

    Hi,
I have purchased a Blackberry 8830 (So called World Phone) and had been using it with Airtel Services in Delhi, India. After approx 3 month the blackberry service stopped working. According to Airtel, the service provider there has been a compatibility issue related to 8830, the dual system handset, which has been in the knowledge of RIM and is under resolution (> 2 months now.). There is absolutely no problem with their network.
So far no solution has been provided by either Airtel or RIM. I have lost count of the number of calls made to the helpline. Every time they are as helpless and clueless as the last time and they promise a call back within 24 hrs, which has never happened.
When the hardware and the network both have been by RIM, why the service has not been provided?
Does it mean RIM has supplied some junk handsets in the market which are useless and an absolute waste of money for the customer?
Doesn't that amount to cheating by RIM? I believe so and would be happy if RIM roves me wrong.
I have lost all the hopes from them and now consider the money spent on this handset as lost to some pickpocket.
Sharing this with this forum to save others from getting cheated, as I had been.
    Hope someone is listening.

  • Lens profile downloader dead? Poor Adobe support and communications?

I wonder if any Adobe Support for the Lens Profile Downloader and user generated profiles has ended silently?
I did create a Profile and sent it to the email adress but never received any reaction by a sentient being and the Profile was not published in the downloader.
Does anyone know how to publish a profile these days?
Adobe itself seems abysmally slow in Publishing profiles for DSLR lenses these days, so the only Workaround is to do it on our own.
Did I miss  a message that said the lens Profile creator and downloader was abandoned?

    A couple things:
    1)  ACR 8.4 will show if a built-in profile has been applied and what corrections have been applied, so if you want to post a raw file from your camera and lens combination someone with PS / ACR 8.4 can give feedback about what built-in profiles might be doing.
    2)  Regarding the X100S, using ACR 8.4 RC, for an example image I downloaded, the built-in profile corrected Chromatic Aberration and Vignetting.  The Adobe-supplied external profile corrected Vignetting and Geometric Distortion.  So the Adobe-supplied profile does additional Geometric Distoration compared with the built-in profile.  However, there was double-correction for Vignetting so one has to turn off the vignetting correction for the particular lens profile to avoid double-correction.  Here is a side-by-side example showing these corrections:
This double-correction of vignetting appears to be have been corrected in the final ACR 8.4 and presumably LR 5.4.

  • Poor service, incorrect billing, inability to get issue resolved.

Upon my initial purchase of verizon package with dsl high speed internet and phone for only 34.99 per month my services were never installed.  After multiple calls I was told that there was an error that was unresolvable from withing Verizon due to some internal phone transfer problem.  The only resolution was for me to cancel my order and reorder the same service.  I did as told and was then told that I had to pay more for same package as that special had ended an hour earlier.  After much to do they agreed to give me the special and asked me to keep my equipement and not send it back as they would use that equipement instead of sending out a whole set of new equipement.
I did as I was told.  Ater again FOUR call backs the technitian was able to finaly get the service to work.  Now they are sending me a bill saying I didn't send the equipement back.  I WAS TOLD TO KEEP THE EQUIPEMENT!!! The Verizon technitian installed THIS SAME EQUIPMENT!!!!   Now they are sendin a collection agency after me for the same equipement while collecting a monthly service fee for said same equipement.
I have called 6 times now and held for over 20 minutes each time and had to finally hang up each time.  After fighting with the ambiguas sight that does everything it can to avoid letting a customer chat with a person that can help me I finally get a person to chat with.  I was at work at the same time so I did not get back to the guy within a few moments and he cancelled the chat # 01041376694.   Now I can't get back into the chat.  THIS IS INSANE VERIZON!!! Do you understand that I am not just an unhappy customer; I am becoming a hostile customer to your organization as I will be telling everyone I know about this insanely poor service, billing and inability to get help.
Eventually your going to do this to enough customers and Verizon will be a shadow of what it once was.
I know that I will probably not hear from anyone as I am now on hold for 10 minutes now waiting for a human to talk to.  Will probably have to hang up soon when a customer comes into office and yet again not have issue resolved.  Thinking about looking into legal options if your organization damages my credit from your collection agency antics.  Your choice verizon.  I don't even care if you just cancel all the service now.  But you mess with my credit and I will seek all legal rememdy.
    Sincerly,
    Extremly Disgruntled Poorly Treated Customer

  • Poor service in a rural area

I live about 2 miles out side the largest town in Cornwall in a little place called Coombe. It shouldn't feel like the end of the world but as far as any sort of service from BT it does.
3 years ago I got in contact with BT to connect me up a phone line and get me onto broadband. No problem they said and if I was willing to sign up for the 18 months they would cut me a deal. I was only interested in the broadband but you can't have one without the other.
The order was messed up a couple of times as the house is divided into two flats and one of the flats allready had a line installed, but I didn't use that flat and I wanted my own line. Anyway after a couple of canceled orders and very very plain instructions and engineer was sent out to install my new line and broadband.
    Now the real trouble started.
    1) The new line was screwed into my neighbours house, which is a completely different colour to mine
    2) The broadband didn't work. The engineer pointed out that to save money BT had installed a wireless connection from the main exchange at Grampound rd and that would never be able to contain enough bandwidth for broadband.
I was peeved as I only wanted broadband in the first place and I was now locked into a 18 month contract for a landline. I tried everything I could and spent 6 months and 3 hubs trying to get the connection working. There is no sharing of information between openreach and BT sales. BT sales were insisting that I could get broadband as their PC say so.
To cut a long story short, I was offered some compensation to say sorry for the months and months of poor service. And no I still did not have any broadband, in fact after the antiquated equipment I was using with dial up gave up on me I was out of the internet for good.
Now skip 3 years forward, the tennants in flat A have spoke to BT and they say.. Of course we can get you a phone line and of course we can geive you broadband. They signed up to the contract (they even spent 1000 pounds on a nice fancy laptop). The engineer came out to visit and found that they dont have a line, as the new line I paid for 3 years ago was never installed, the guy just screwed on a dummy connection to look like a new line on my neighbours place, and then just re-used flat-A's line. Also we dont have any lines left in the green box for a new phone line and even if there was space, there just isn't the bandwidth to provide any broadband service in my village of coombe.
Now a sorry tale, and I feel sorry for my neighbours who now can't even get a telephone (and this is in the middle of a village not the middle of a moor).
The 72 hours emergency deadline has come and gone, with no reply from BT. The telephone conversations I have had with BT i keep getting fobbed off between customer services and faults department in bombay. All you do is talk to someone and then no action is taken, its like going to some BT therapy session.
The fact that you can right now go to the BT website plug in my phone number and they promise to get me on broadband is just not on. Its also illegal as its against the 1982 provision of goods act. There is no way that BT can say they didn't know that they can't provide this service.
Why should you be able to get away with selling my neighbours a service you can't provide ?, why should your engineers not do the work I paid them for 3 years ago with my new line, and where is the person who takes this sort of complaint and sorts it out.
I have writen to BT, Consumer Direct, the local Trading Standards, Ofcom, and even put a note into watchdog. So far I have received a generic, we think we can fix this from BT which I presume is just generated when you send a mail to them.
BT are currently investing millions and millions in my county upgrading the system to superfast broadband which is why it smarts so much to see that we are getting further and further behind. Kids are falling behind at school, my work is suffering and its a joke that in this day and age that my neighbour can not even get a phone line installed, let alone use 20 year old technology "dial up" to check some E mail. And before you ask ? we can't get a mobile signal as we are in a valley so mobile broadband doesn't work either.
Anyway thats my and my fellow villagers story..

  • Nokia Poor Technical Support - Beware

I purchased this phone a week ago. I have a POP 3 email account that I connect to. I have 2 emails that I check. I check email on 2 laptops, 1 tablet, 1 phone. I found after a week that the Nokia 928 was deleting the emails from the server and that I could not get those emails once deleted on my other devices. (My 3 year old HTC Droid did not do this) I called Verizon service who sent me to Nokia. Nokia said it was not their problem and sent me to Microsoft. Microsoft said it was not their problem and sent me back to Nokia. I said no, it was a software problem and Nokia said they didn't make the software. I was sent to another phone number in Microsoft that turned out to be "Supplemental Parts" support and the guy said sorry he couldn't help me and DIDN"T know who I should call. Nokia "dropped" the call the first time when being transferred and I had to call back and go through the whole phone tree again. I'm certain the call was dropped by the customer agent because he didn't want to deal with this.
This all took about 45 minutes of ME having to make the calls and get shuttled back and forth. I finally called Verizon back and said I want my old phone back, which they did. I took the 928 back and got a full refund. BTW, the initial Verizon support person opened up the on-line manual, which I already had, and started reading out loud through the email setup section. That really instilled a sense of trust in me.
So, there are three problems here:
The Nokia 928 can't perform a simple years old email setup function
Verizon can't technically support the phone
Verizon is not taking charge of their support and is willing to send customers off to other "vendors". I feel Verizon should have taken this issue, chased it down for me, and gotten back to me with an answer.

Recently I started having the same issues - email being deleted from my e-mail service provider's server by Microsoft phone Lumia 928 & I could not even find the deleted emails under server's trash folder.  I do not want my emails deleted by the phone.
I do not see any recommendations to correct this issue.  Does that mean I need to delete POP e-mail accounts just to keep my e-mail on the server??  If yes then, the windows phone is not worth owning.  To the best of my knowledge this is not an issue created by Nokia.
Currently I found an unefficient  way to keep my emails on my email provider's server but then why do I need this phone if it is nothing but a problem? A Sync issue/bug???
It would be great if someone from Verizon and/or Microsoft could clarify this issue.

  • New Macbook Air 11" 2014 Model Display Hinge Loose and exacerbated by extremely poor service

I have bought a new MacBook Air 11 from Ezone on the 3rd of October.  When I opened the product, I realised that the hinge seemed to be loose and would fall back on its own when tilted. That's when my troubles started.
I went to the Maple Apple Authorised Service Center at Santa Cruz, Mumbai and was told that the product was fine and that the screen tilt was 'normal'.
I then happened to visit some other stores and noticed that the MacBooks on display didn't swing back the same way.
I returned to the Service Center again and was told again that it was 'normal'. When I demanded to see the manager, I was told he had left for the day. I rang him and was told that I should come and see him the next day and he would provide a speedy resolution to the problem.
I rang the store that I'd purchased it from and they told me that they would be happy to replace the product provided the service center gave a certificate called DOA.
The next day was an even more harrowing experience. When I reached the manager's office, he tried telling me again that the product was 'normal'. When I explained to him that none of the in store models were like that, he said that to give the certificate, he would need at least 2 days as there was a 'process' to be followed. The 'process' is to merely record how the display flips back when tilted back.
I tried to call Apple Customer Care and spoke to Nishant and then Ravi (who told me that he usually never spoke to customers directly but as a special case was speaking to me since I'd had a bad experience!).
Ravi, assured me of a ideal resolution within 24 hours.
And so today, I received a call from Nishant, who informed me that because of the nature of the inconvenience, Apple had decided to offer 2 solutions: 1. They would ship a new machine from Singapore directly to my home address but that would take 4-5 business weeks. I was fine with that solution although I didn't understand the merit of sending a new laptop from Singapore. However, he then told me that I would FIRST have to submit the laptop and ONLY THEN would they ship it out to me. So essentially, I would be without a laptop for next month and a half! In short, a ridiculous solution. 2. The second solution was that I would have to give my BRAND NEW laptop (less than 2 weeks old!) to the service centre, they would repair it and return it in a few days. So we were back to square one. When I tried to understand the escalation process, I was curtly told that there was no escalation and this was Apple's response and resolution to my problem.
So, I, the unhappy customer, was given no choice except to turn  in my machine to the service centre whereas, GLOBALLY, Apple would have replaced the machine if it was less than 2 weeks old!
Absolutely pathetic experience with no keenness to help except have longwinded calls that provided no solution whatsoever.
And this to a customer who's just bought a brand new machine and is expecting a spectacular experience! Even Lenovo or Sony offer onsite support, so the Apple experience is a terrible, terrible letdown.
I feel cheated and downright stupid for having paid such a premium for a product with manufacturing defect followed with such extraordinarily poor service!

  • MSi website support not working - poor service!

MSi website support is not working.  Everytime I try to contact them using the support tickets I get a garbled message on screen and once you click the OK button it clears your ticket with nothing posted.
It's a very poor way for a company supposed to be a BIG company showing support to its customers.
You can't telephone them, cannot now use the ticket support, and can only HOPE someone from their technical department reads THIS.
I sent them an email about it and I'm just waiting to hear from them.
It makes me want to change to ASUS in future!

Ok I'll try to remain calm as I've just received a warning about "bashing" MSi.
I'll include the screenshot again for your attention.  At least the moderators here are reviewing the situation it seems, which, on a large forum, I didn't think would be noticed.
After going through advice of how to update my BIOS with their technical help on the website I flashed my MSi Z68A-GD65 (B3) successfully to version 22.8.  It was playing up before that on the orginal BIOS, slowing down in Windows, not recognizing various USB devices, and I had a Primary BIOS led flashing which meant it had failed on the mobo so the computer wasn't coming out of 'sleep'  very good (I just left it on all the time instead).
22.8 made it seem to be at it's best then I contacted them on which update next; they said P.1.  Unlike the previous one which I flashed inside the BIOS using M-flash, this had to be done in DOS which I did.
I saw a brief message which I think said updating should not be done while it is overclocked (I had the OC button on) but other than that it went through and said update was "successful".  That was the last message my machine made.
It is now in a constant 'boot loop' which lasts about 10 seconds, not enough time to interrupt or use a boot device, and just cycles switching off to booting then switching off, etc.
I've seen many cases of this and it must be a common problem, as I did everything as instructed and still it went wrong.
After lots of communication MSi UK agreed to inform the service department for a RMA to be sent to me, even though it was out-of-warranty.  Then they closed the ticket.  I opened a new ticket asking why they closed the ticket and I still had not received any RMA, they told me not to worry the RMA will be coming, then closed that ticket.
After waiting 10 days I tried to use the website form again filling out all the criteria on the form and instead I get this garbled writing with the OK button as I mentioned, which just sends you back to the home page with nothing updated.
So I am really frustrated at this point, unable to phone MSi (they won't talk to you), use the website (in UK) and have had to explain everything through an email correspondence, hence my lack of patience on this forum.
For years I put my faith in MSi products, I have a Nvidia graphics card also, and they are the market leader with the best looking designs and most powerful components.  But they should provide better customer support when things go wrong and are failing anyone who resides in the UK with a website service which doesn't work, and closing tickets before the problem has been sorted or the RMA has been sent.
    I hope you understand.

  • HT204053 What are the pros and cons of 1) choosing to use the SAME Apple ID for iCloud services on one side, and purchases on the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBookstore, on the other side; or 2) to have and use two separate Apple Ids for these "two sides

All is in the title, so I repeat it below with a better identation.
What are the pros and cons of
    1) choosing to use the SAME
Apple ID for iCloud services on one side, and
purchases on the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBookstore, on the other side; or
    2) to have and use two separate Apple Ids for these "two sides"?
    P.S.
I have loads and loads of free podcasts in iTunes in my iMac, that are certainly more thant the 5 gigas the iCloud provides for free, so I don't want those to go to the cloud. But this is perhaps a different question...
Also need to mention that I have itunes on a mac, a pc and an iphone.
Sorry to look so silly with this question, but I don't get the "big picture".

You need to create a user account for your wife (or yourself depending on who has the current user account). When syncing, each of you should sign in as a separate user, login to iTunes and then sync. I had this problem when my sister got an iPhone. When we did her initial sync, everything on my iPhone showed up on hers. Apple gave me this solution.

  • BT Infinity issues and poor service

I reported an issue with the Infinity team that I can not access the internet several times a day and the only solution is to switch off the hub for several minutes and then switch it back on.
After several calls to the helpdesk and not being provided with any information as to the 'fixes' which have been applied I was in a call yesterday for 15 minutes waiting for my call to be escalated as I requested. The call was cut off! I actually got a call back and an apology! I said that I had spent too long on the phone 'waiting' for someone to explain what had been done to date to attempt to resolve my issue but no answers were provided. I was informed that the case had been closed! I questioned why and was informed that someone had spoken to my wife and closed the case. This is incorrect as nobody has spoken to my wife and she would not state the issue had been resolved has it clearly has not!
I was promised yesterday that a supervisor would phone me back to discuss the case as I am not happy at all. This poor service is costing me money as I am not capable of working without the broadband connection!
I would like someone to take ownership of my issue and provide me with the service I expect from paying for this premium service!
I've just looked at the closed case which I was informed had been re-opened I can see no update and that it is still closed!
Please open it now and provide an update as promised on several occasions.

    Hi there,
Firstly, I would advise you to edit out your VOL number from your post for security reasons.
Also, if you follow this link, it will allow you to fill out a "Contact us" form for the mods. Please remember to include all your account details in this and the mods should pick it up and contact you back.

  • Is Services in SAP and Customer Jobs in Quick Books same?

    Hi All,
Services done for a customer by a sales rep is stored in Service modules in SAP. In QuickBooks Customer Jobs field is there for a Sales person to calculate is commisssion based on the job performed by her/him to the customer.
My Question is whether the both or same.
    Please reply soon
    I always welcome ur suggestions
    Thanks in Advance
    Janakiraman

    Hi Janakiraman,
Unfortunately I do not know quick books. All service call data is stored in the database, so you can do your own report calculations on commissions for the sales people. Invoices can also be booked against a service call and commission by sales person can be calculated on the invoices.
    Hope it helps,
    Adele

Each position has a budget tied to it
What are the pros and con for budgeting on the job level versus the position level?

    Hi There,
You can purchase an upgrade license of Captivate 8 by paying US $ 399.00 only if you own Captivate 7.
You cannot purchase an upgrade of captivate 8 if you are using Captivate 6. You can either purchase Captivate 8 full version ( by paying US $ 999 ) or its annual subscription.
In Captivate 8 annual subscription, you have to pay US $ 19.99 per month and it can only be activated by sign in with adobe id and password under which subscription has been purchased.

  • SAP List of Supported SQL Server Service Packs and Cumulative Updates

Does SAP provide a list of SQL Server Service Packs and Cumulative Updates that will work with BPC 7.0 and 7.5? I see that CU 12 is out for SP1 and CU 2 is out for SP2. I would like to know if I can move the SP2 CU2 or SP1 CU12. My install docs are outdated specifying SP1 CU6.
    Any direction is appreciated.
    Joe

    Hi,
Please take a look at the below list of the supported OS: This excerpt is from the installation guide.
SP04 or later: Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard or Enterprise Edition with or without Hyper-V
Windows Server 2008 Standard or Enterprise Edition with or without Hyper-V, or
Windows Server 2008 Data Center with or without Hyper-V
Windows Server 2003 Standard or Enterprise Edition SP2
Windows Server 2003 Standard configured on the SQL database or OLAP server components only
Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard or Enterprise Edition SP2
SAP recommends using Windows Server 2008 64 bit over Windows Server 2003 64 bit. Otherwise, supportability is limited.
I am not sure what did you mean by the front end. Having said that, 32 bit is supported both on the server and the client machines.
    Hope this helps.
