Populate a Service Item upon user login

Hi Team,
I have a simple Service Item of two fields
- name
-Description
I design a DB Table Details with the above fields and have values in which it syncs 'name' to CCP user login name
I need to populate the service Item with the correponding user name when he/she logged in.
How to do this?
As far as I see, the values for the Service Item instances are manually provided in Service Item Manager -> Manage Service Item -> new
How do i populate with dynamic values from DB Tables (as well as from CPO too)?
Kindly share steps for this

I require this because I need design a portlet that display values from DB Tables designed for my requirements. Since some types of portlets allow Content Type as Service Items, I could dynamically populate service Item based on user login and display them as a dash board.
Pls note the requirement i described is the simplified version of actual requirement that spans to multiple DB Tables created by us

Terminate service upon user login, batch script

Hi there,
We have around ~100 computer that are solid state hard drive equipped. Also, we have ~50 computer that have regular 7200 hard drives.
I created a Group Policy that launches a batch script upon user login that terminates a particular service and attempts to "taskkill" a process. Here it is:
sc stop backburner_srv_200
taskkill /F /IM "3dsmax.exe"
The problem is that if a computer, a user logs in to, is solid state hard drive equipped, the above script does not run, or perhaps does not have a chance to run? because solid state hard drive is so fast?
I am at a loss.
Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks for the response gakker, but I've double-checked the camera / iPhoto / Image Capture scenario, and I'm 100% positive it's got nothing to do with that.
Plugging in my iPhone has no effect on anything related to this.
The other thing I should have mentioned is that when iTunes on my Mac is NOT running, then nothing happens on my iPhone screen when I plug it in to my Mac. I only get the "Sync in progress" message when iTunes IS running.
It's interesting though that you say you also get this "Sync in progress" message, albeit only for a second or two though.
Can I just double-check something with you however... When you say:

do you mean the iTunes on your Mac? Because the problem I have is that the iPod-playback on my iPhone is interrupted.
So can you clarify that for me, please? If you have music playing on your iPhone, and you then plug your iPhone into your Mac when iTunes is running on your Mac, does the music playback on the iPhone get interrupted?

Trigger Automator action upon re-login from fast user switch?

I normally leave my account logged in on my Mac, and via fast user switching, return to the login window when I'm away from my Mac. (So my account stays logged in, but OS X remains at the user login window.)
When I re-login, (how) can I trigger an Automator action to execute upon my return to my account?

Try adding the action to your Login Items in Accounts preferences. Save the automator action as an application first.

Are you using the Office for Mac 2011 version, as you need to do? The Office for Mac 2004 is Not at all compatible with Mountain Lion, and the 2008 version has been noted to have some problems running with ML.

Is there an and in original box with cables. Item cannot be activated because of cloud lock. Preof cloud lockvious user login is UNKNOWN. Unit is sold as is for parts or use by someone who knows how to fix this issue

Why is it when I select my personal preferences/user/login items, that when i select the check box for items to NOT pop up on my dock when i restart and start my macbook air 11 inch that they still continue to?

The iMac I use at the university where I work connects to Active Directory for authentication - there are no local user logins (apart from the admin account of course).
I'd like to know how to set the default items for all user logins. Specifically, I'd like the system to automatically create an alias on the desktop to a shared folder for every new user login, or automatically open that folder in Finder when logged in.
Though I'm the main user, if I'm not around other people may require access to the stuff I do for the multitude of projects I work on for a department of 30 people, and as everyone else uses a PC and only a few are Mac savvy, I'd like to make it as easy as possible for the poor dears to find the files. (We have a shared network drive where I can put some stuff but unfortunately our allocation is not very big!)

By user login items to run UNIX executable file

Here is a plobem, I couldn't deal with for some days, please help me and give some advises .
I want run a shell script when special user login the system, not all users.
as I know and by test, the below methods are do the same work.
1. System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items, add application and can run when user login.
2. Two files: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginitems.plist or loginwindow.plist, and add useful items to any of them.
Because shell script can only open, but not run by "Login Items", so at first I write a UNIX executable file , which is run the SH, and gone into the System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items, add the UNIX file below, and set "Hide".
When the user login the system again, it can auto open the terminal window, and run the UNIX exe file, but when the file end of exe, the terminal still open,
and can't close. Here I have write command "exit" in the SH file, and the terminal show "the process has ended".
I want the UNIX exe file had better run in the backstage, if by terminal , how can make terminal hide? or by what command can close the terminal ?
If it is not a good method, whether there have any other way to run the Shell Script flie in the backstage when certain user login ?
Here my Mac OS X workstation system is 10.5.8.

OK. My previous answer still holds. You don't need Terminal to run ssh, or AppleScript either, for that matter. What you do need is a process on the remote machine that will accept remote requests to run some appliction. It just so happens that sshd is such a program. I'm not sure about AppleScript. You may need to be logged on so that the Finder is running. I'm no AppleScript expert, so don't quote me. Again, I would just use ssh.

Flex 4 User Login system Logout functionality/disconection from service

So I initially have a user login app that when logged in shows the user information in a datagrid
now when i logged out i was having a problem where when i logged into a different account it would show you the info for the previous account, i figured out that the problem was that i wasnt disabling my database connection, so i have been messing around with it and simply used the method from my datagrid
creationCompleteHandler which is
getAllDesignsResult2.token = designsService.getAllDesigns();
and it into a result handler of my logout btn, now this causes an error because i get the fault error message after i click the btn but it also disables the connection therefor kind of working...
so does anyone know the method of disabling this method?

As I understand the problem description, there's going to be one user (or a few of them) who will have the authorization to delete the other users from the system.
Now when a user is deleted using the Function Module TH_DELETE_USER, the pop-up message that you're talking about will appear for the user who has been deleted. Not for the person who is deleting the user.
I hope you are getting what I'm trying to say.

How can I filter a Sharepoint 2007 libarry list based on current user login?

Hi all.
I would like to know how I can filter a SharePoint library list based on current user login.
Suppose I have created the followings:
1) A SharePoint form library containing bunch of uploaded InfoPath form data.
2) The InfoPath form template contains a promoted text field called "TargetUser" to store user domain login (ex: DOMAIN\JOE) and every InfoPath form file in the library has a valid domain name stored in the "TargetUser" field.
I have created a custom view for the form library and would like to filter this view so only items whose "TargetUser" field matches current user's login ID are displayed.
I went to Edit View page to customize the view and tried to use the [Me] function but I got a "Filter value is not a valid text string" message instead when clicking OK. Apparently [Me] returns a Person/Group data type and the filter cannot compare its value
to that of "TargetUser".
I tried using text functions (ex: TEXT([Me],"") hoping to extract default string value from [Me]. The filter accepts the parameter without any error but the resulting fitlered list does not display any items at all.
I have googled this subject for hours but I have not found any solution.
It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can help me to create a functional filtered list.
FYI, my SharePoint 2007 installation is just WSS 3.0 + Form Server. I do not have MOSS 2007 (so no MOSS 2007 web parts or web services).

Here's what I usually do in order to accomplish this. Ultimately you'll need to have 2 different fields. There's the one you already have, with DOMAIN\username stored in it. Then you'll need an additional field as a "person" column type.
Call it "TargetPerson" or something.
Create a sharepoint designer workflow that runs each time an item is created or changed. One action:
Set FIELD to VALUE.
The first FIELD is "TargetPerson", the VALUE is your "TargetUser" field.
Once this is done, then the person value is stored in the person field. This is the field that you can filter by "TargetPerson" is equal to [Me]

End User Login Message

Hi Folks,
Our production IDM setup has 3 IDM instances sharing the same repository. The IDM End user is used for setting passwords in IDM and LDAP.
Recently, couple of users have reported this error while trying to log in into IDM end user login page.
"Your password has expired for account xxxxxx. Please change it now.
Item User:xxxxxx was not found in the repository, it may have been deleted in another session."
I had seen an earlier posting on this but there were no answers. Does any have a clue why this happens?
Any lead will be greatly appreciated.

This is normal behavior for the service desk. It gives end-users a limited UI compared to the ticket processors. Unfortunately the features of the limited UI are hardcoded so you cannot configure the UI so that end-users get two tabs while a ticket processor gets all six tabs. This may change in SolMan 7.1, let's hope so
SolMan determines if a user is an end-user by checking the auth object
CRM_TXT_ID

If the auth check for this auth object fails, then the user is considered to be an end-user and they get the limited UI.

It is cross-counties transportation. Part of route outside company country is non-taxable, inside part is taxable. Amounts are proportional to distance and hence become known only at time of invoice receipt.
Users do not want to create 2 separate invoices. They would like to have ability to enter 2 lines in MIRO. But I need your help to understand, how it can be done? Service receipt is done by single line (because actual taxable / non-taxable amount is unknown at that time). So, is it possible to enter non-taxable amount in MIRO in some additional line?
