Portal On Device Issue

Hi All
I am on portal 7.3 ehp1 sp 07.
We are getting ready to go live with a portal on device implementation and I am having a fairly big issue.
I have developed a number of apps using bsp and jquery mobile 1.3.1.
My problem is that the page height is not re-adjusting to the view area.
For example I have a search, list and detail page.
When I go from search, to list, the height re-adjusts i.e. from small page to large list page. The list page is the correct height and it has a scroll bar.
The problem is that when I go from a large list page to a small detail page, the view area remains large, the scroll area does not re-adjust.
If I scroll down and click the last item in the list, the detail page is loaded but the scroll bar on the side remains at the same position and I have to manually scroll to the top of the page. I would expect the scroll bar to dissapear.
In order for me to view the detail page, I have to scroll to the top of the page.
The problem is that the scroll area does not re-adjust to the smaller detail screen and I have to scroll back up to the top to see the details.
I have implemented note 1832376, with no luck. My apps are portal pages with a bsp iview and smartphone layout.
Please, can someone give me some advice on this
I am testing on Iphone and Ipad with ios 7.

Thanks for replying. An upgrade from 7.3 to 7.31 is not a viable solution for us, we are getting ready to go live with this.
I need a workaround.
Any workarounds or portal events that I can call that I will force a portal page to scroll to the top.
I have tried document.scrollto etc from javascript. They work fine when I preview the page in portal but not when incorporated into portal on device.

Enterprise Portal Log off Issue for External User

Hello
We are facing a Enterprise Portal log off issue for one of our external users.
User is logged in and clicks on the "Log Off" link .
User is prompted as seen below:
Are you sure you want to logg off?
Choose Yes or No
Click on Yes and popup window goes away and nothing else happens.
These problems logg off issue problem happening on Internet Explorer 6 but from from firefox browser, its working.
Also popups are not blocked on IE.
EP version with SP level is EP 7.00 SP12.
Even though from Internet explorer 6, i can log in and log off with internal user.
Please advise for the log off problem .

on Config Tool Global Paramter settings.
Then restart the server.
But I am getting the same problem.when I login with external user ID, then make log off. Nothin Happen...

Wireless Guest Portal with Device registration

Hi,
I have configured the ISE for wireless guest authentication. Once i got the guest portal and enter usernam/password, it redirecting to Self Provisioning portal for Device Registration. (attached)
I have unchecked the option "enable my device portal" under My Device-->Portal configuraiton (attached)
Can someone please advise, why I'm still getting Self provisioning portal, although I might need this later for On-board provisioning, at this time I just want guest user authentication and allow access to internet.

I think you should disable in the DefaultGuestPortal (Administration >> Web Portal Management >> Settings >> Guest >> Multi-Portal Configurations >> DefaultGuestPortal >> Operations .... Uncheck the option Enable Self-Provisioning Flow

ISupplier Portal call Workflow - Issue Closed,thanks ~

Hi All,
In iSupplier Portal, it will call Workflow to send a notification for notifying buyers about the registration of supplier.
We can see the workflow process set(named: POSSPM1 : POS Supplier Registration and Profile Management) using Workflow Builder.
We are able to create a copy of a specific process and then modify the notification message, save as a new process.
BUT, we can't find where to setup the workflow to using the new process.
Is there any setting can help us to use the new process?
Or the process name is hard-code in OAF controller program??

Outlook integration on Portal On Device

We are in process of implementing Portal On Device and want to provide user some access to their Outlook-Calendar or Outlook messages.
We are on NW 7.31 portal.

There's an Apple help page on the DNS problem - at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3408
The first thing to try is changing your DNS settings - and for that you need to open System Preferences, then the
Network section.
In Network - click on Advanced - then the DNS tab
under DNS servers - use the + button to enter two extra lines
either these, from google dns
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
or from OpenDNS
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
then click OK & then 'Apply'
You would need to do that seperately for the Cable (Ethernet) settings and Wireless (Airport)

ISE 1.2 Guest Portal - This device has not been registered.

I have setup and SSID on my WLC. I got the redirecting to my ISE guestportal working.
However when I sign in I get a Device regitration Page
"This device has not been registered"
Unable to obtain the user information needed for network access.
The device ID is grayed out and blank.
Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated

On another note
When I login - I get my acceptable usage policy.
Accept
Then get a Device registration Portal where I can add the MAC address.
Now I have two quistions.
When I add my test mac address the url redirects to myservername:8443/guestportal/AfterDevReg.action - unable to connect <- that's the one issue.
The other is - Can't I by pass the MAC? ie once the user is signed on to get access.
Curretly I have the following settings enabled.
Enable Mobile Portal
Allow guest users to change password
Guest users should be allowed to do device registration <- if I disable that after signon the page just flash back to the guest portal.

New iMovie '08 problems -- FireWire or new device issues?

Not sure if this is an iMovie '08 problem or an OS X problem. Here's the story --
Prior camcorder was a Panasonic, MiniDV format. Hooks up nicely with iMovie, via FireWire (400). I also have a WD My Book (500 GB) device to store the raw data (Event Library), which connects via FireWire (800). In the past, all three devices (Panasonic, My Book and MacBook Pro) all played nicely together.
Fast forward to now. Bought a new camcorder (problems with the Panasonic). It's a Canon ZR950 (MiniDV). With iMovie running, I first connect the WD device which is successfully mounted. I then hookup the new Canon and within a few seconds I get an error about a "device not cleanly shut down" (or words to that effect). Odd .... and when I try to connect to my new camcorder, I get a "no camera connected" error.
Rebooted, retried .... same issues. Another time I first connected the Canon and this time, iMovie successfully sees it. I go to connect the My Book and then the camcorder drops out.
So, it seems I can have only one FireWire device connected at a time, which is odd since I didn't have this issue with the old Panasonic.
Help!

Interesting that you based your purchase on CR magazine because I too use it like a bible. However, when it comes to video cameras, I think they are way off base when not considering the editing side of video making that goes along with any camcorder. Who shoots video simply to plug it into a TV for playback?? If they were doing responsible reporting on this particular subject, they would also include computer capture and editing details in the reviews. Lots of the new format cams don't even work with Macs and the ones that do generally give lesser quality after conversion than what you can still get with tape. At least you made the right decision there!

an update on my client's situation:
os: server 10.4.11
scsi card: LSILogic Ultra320, 1.3.39.0 firmware
tape: exabyte 1x10 library, vxa172 tape drive
after a reboot, but still running 10.4.10, the tape drive appeared on the SCSI bus.
after installing the 10.4.11 update, the OS can't see the tape drive, but the library is. basically, that's no different than before the update.
does anyone have any ideas on how to scare the drive into reappearing? would unloading/reloading kexts help? the library is basically useless without the tape drive reliably recognized by the SCSI card.

ASA 5510 Remote Access iOS devices issue

I'm having a weird issue that just cropped up in the last week or so. Previously, ipads and iphones were working fine on our IPSec VPN, but now they don't work at all.
The iOS device throws one of two errors:
1. "Negotiation with the VPN server failed." (asks for user and pass first, then gives this error after about 30 seconds)
2. "The VPN server did not repond." (might just be intermittnet 3G network I'm testing over)
If the error is #1, the ASA says this:

I've changed a lot of settings, but I haven't gotten anywhere. I've tried different tunnel groups and connection profiles. This setup works fine on a Windows computer with the Cisco VPN Client (5.0.07). ASA is running 8.2(5), split tunnel, no pfs, group name and psk, tried with and without peer ID validation, NAT-T (udp 500, 4500).

Portal Self registration issue

Hi guys,
I had activated Portal self registration with companies feature. what i did is , i assigned one role (ess portal role in which all my ess screens are covered) to authenticated group and every_user_core_role to anonymous group and did necessary configuration in configtool . The problem i am facing is that my self registered users are able to see my portal role without any approval (via approve/ deny in user administration) which i want to show them after approval . PLs guide what might me the issue.

Portal Drive Authentication Issue

Hi Folks,
I have installed the Portal Drive on my Desktop. It works quite good except the authentication of my user-id.
This means, whenever I connect to a KM folder that can be accessed by "Everyone", everything works well. All functionalities are proper. If I cange a document, I can see that the user is "Guest".
But whenever I try to connect a KM Folder, in which the Access Rights are set only to my user, then the Authentication fails.
What am I doing wrong?

I am using Portal 7.0 SP16.
I setup Portal Drive in my local system. I am able to connect to a folder in km repository for a machine having only one portal instance.
But when I tried to connect to folder for a machine having two or more portal instance, it is not able to connect.
I tried all the machine with only one portal instance and it works fine but it doesn't connect for machine having more than one portal instance.
Any help would be great to resolve this issue. I am getting error like:
" server is currently experiencing a problem connecting users. Please try later."

Portal Page Display Issue

Hi all,
We are using Netweaver 2004s Enterprise Portal 7.0 with SP14.
some times, when the users log in, the main content of the page is getting displayed in the detailed navigation.
And the actual content area shows empty.
I usually restart the server instance whenever users complain about this error.
Can any one help me out?

The server I am facing this issue, is a development server and hence it has only very limited usage in terms of the number of users.
Also, the server has enough hardware resources to support the SAP Netweaver instance requirements.
But for the last two weeks, we have an application which is accessed by almost 40 users continuously.
This is a VC composite application which uses Microsoft JDBC driver to connect to a Microsoft SQL Server 2000 database. But even this application is small compared to the available resources we have in the server.
So, the other option left out in your suggestion is the VM settings.
Can you suggest me the recommended JVM memory settings?
