I am new to portal on device. I saw some blogs which discusses about developing mobile applications using BSP. Is that the only way?
How to access the SAP Data from JQUERY mobile?

Portal On Device Issue

Hi All
I am on portal 7.3 ehp1 sp 07.
We are getting ready to go live with a portal on device implementation and I am having a fairly big issue.
I have developed a number of apps using bsp and jquery mobile 1.3.1.
My problem is that the page height is not re-adjusting to the view area.
For example I have a search, list and detail page.
When I go from search, to list, the height re-adjusts i.e. from small page to large list page. The list page is the correct height and it has a scroll bar.
The problem is that when I go from a large list page to a small detail page, the view area remains large, the scroll area does not re-adjust.
If I scroll down and click the last item in the list, the detail page is loaded but the scroll bar on the side remains at the same position and I have to manually scroll to the top of the page. I would expect the scroll bar to dissapear.
In order for me to view the detail page, I have to scroll to the top of the page.
The problem is that the scroll area does not re-adjust to the smaller detail screen and I have to scroll back up to the top to see the details.
I have implemented note 1832376, with no luck. My apps are portal pages with a bsp iview and smartphone layout.
Please, can someone give me some advice on this
I am testing on Iphone and Ipad with ios 7.

Thanks for replying. An upgrade from 7.3 to 7.31 is not a viable solution for us, we are getting ready to go live with this.
I need a workaround.
Any workarounds or portal events that I can call that I will force a portal page to scroll to the top.
I have tried document.scrollto etc from javascript. They work fine when I preview the page in portal but not when incorporated into portal on device.

Wireless Guest Portal with Device registration

Hi,
I have configured the ISE for wireless guest authentication. Once i got the guest portal and enter usernam/password, it redirecting to Self Provisioning portal for Device Registration. (attached)
I have unchecked the option "enable my device portal" under My Device-->Portal configuraiton (attached)
Can someone please advise, why I'm still getting Self provisioning portal, although I might need this later for On-board provisioning, at this time I just want guest user authentication and allow access to internet.

I think you should disable in the DefaultGuestPortal (Administration >> Web Portal Management >> Settings >> Guest >> Multi-Portal Configurations >> DefaultGuestPortal >> Operations .... Uncheck the option Enable Self-Provisioning Flow

We are in process of implementing Portal On Device and want to provide user some access to their Outlook-Calendar or Outlook messages.
We are on NW 7.31 portal.
Can you please advise if there is any Out of the box iView's or Business Packages available for that?

ISE 1.2 Guest Portal - This device has not been registered.

I have setup and SSID on my WLC. I got the redirecting to my ISE guestportal working.
However when I sign in I get a Device regitration Page
"This device has not been registered"
Unable to obtain the user information needed for network access.
The device ID is grayed out and blank.
Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated

On another note
When I login - I get my acceptable usage policy.
Accept
Then get a Device registration Portal where I can add the MAC address.
Now I have two quistions.
When I add my test mac address the url redirects to myservername:8443/guestportal/AfterDevReg.action - unable to connect <- that's the one issue.
The other is - Can't I by pass the MAC? ie once the user is signed on to get access.
Curretly I have the following settings enabled.
Enable Mobile Portal
Allow guest users to change password
Guest users should be allowed to do device registration <- if I disable that after signon the page just flash back to the guest portal.

Cisco ISE 1.2 - Problem with Device Onboarding of internal users using AD Credentials

Dear experts,
We have implemented ISE 1.2 with WLC 7.5 in our organization. We are using Device Onboarding by letting the users enter their AD Username and Passowrd on Guest portal which then redirects them to device registration portal where they simply register their device and they get internet access.
The problem is that some users are unable to authenticate using this portal while some can successfully authenticate and register their devices. All users are of the same group in AD. Also, we have enabled this check on two places. One is when users connects to the SSID where the security WPA2-Enterprise uses 802.1x and asks for AD username password. The other is on the portal.
All users are able to connect to the SSID using their AD credentials. However, 30% of the users are not being authenticated when they are redirected to the Guest portal for device registration. Also, it gives no error or event on either ISE or on the mobille device. When the users enters their credentials, the same guest portal page comes back blank with no errors or logs anywhere.
Can someone guide me if there is some configuration mistake that I may have done or have someone faced this same issue and were/weren't able to resolve it.

Our problem got solved. It was related to a few user accounts in AD. Usually any authentication on AD User Account is carried out using the User ID. However, during Web Authentication, Login ID/Name is also checked by ISE and should be same as User ID.
The problem you are facing might also related be to AD since we had the similar issue. try to check this on a laptop as the mobile portal gives no error if the user is unknown or invalid. Also, you can enable logs for web authentication which are off by default. It will give you a pretty good idea where the problem lies. And yeah, do not keep the web authentications log on for long, it can hang your ISE.

my query is that how to reuse the same portal app for the mobile phone and can we have wrapper for mobile so that the mobile phone uses 'light' mode of portal

AUS auto populate device seems not to work.

I'm running CSM 4.0.1 and followed the instructions on how to use CSM to update an ASA5540 filewall through AUS. I created a policy in CSM with the AUS IP address and credentials and chose 'Device' to deploy to.
On page 1-3 of "Getting Started with AUS" it states: When you use Security Manager to deploy configurations to a device through AUS, the device is automatically added to the AUS inventory after the device successfully contacts AUS and retrieces the configuration. This is the normal method for adding devices."
The AUS fails the attempt with this error message:
CALLHOME-DB-DEVICE_NOT_FOUND: Record for device with ID Remote-ASA-1 could not be found. Action: Please ensure the device was added to the AUS and that the device config contains the correct device ID.
And the ASA device (8.4.1) with debug turned on, displays this error msg:
Remote-ASA-1# Auto-update client: Sent DeviceDetails to /autoupdate/AutoUpdateServlet of server 164.72.44.162
Auto-update client: Processing UpdateInfo from server 164.72.44.162

It's complaining the the device ID is not found. But the hostname of the ASA is the same as the device ID in CSM.
Is there something I'm missing or not doing for this to work?

there are few things to make the AUS work, let's try to list it and make sure we have everything in place.
1- we need to configure the device for AUS. Let do it via CSM:
in the Device View select your firewall and configure your AUS server via
Device Admin ->Server Access->AUS
The ip address will be the same as CSM and credential the same you use to login in the CSM Server
2- deploy to the ASA to make sure it has teh AUS config. The config deployed should look like:
auto-update device-id hostname
auto-update server https://*@/autoupdate/AutoUpdateServlet source
3- make sure that the hostname of the device is THE SAME as the display name in CSM (you can check that by right clicking on the device and click on device properties)
4- we are now ready to setup the AUS server. Right click on the device and select Device Properties. In the Autoupdate section (at the bottom)
complete the fields by putting all the needed info. The server name and ip address should be the same as the CSM (AUS is running on the same server)
and the credentials are the same used to login in the CSM gui and used at point 1
5- Once this is setup, you are ready for the first deployment. It is important to deploy just after because the CSM needs to create the right configuration file on the AUS server. After the first deployment you should be able to see the device listed in the AUS portal (under devices)

Removed device still exist in Intune console

Hi,
I used one phone to test Windows Intune. After some time I removed Intune account from device (Workplace) and after that did command in Intune portal "Retire device". Now, this device shows status "This device is in the process of retiring. Once
complete, this device's status will no longer appear in the Windows Intune administrator console." and I cannot force manually delete.
Is it possible to manually force deletion?

You shouldn't have removed the company account from the device manually. Retiring the device in the Intune console would have automatically done that for you. Now you are in Limbo. Intune is trying to retire the device but cannot contact it. I don't know
how long it will keep trying before it gives up. If you are concerned you could contact Intune support and they will be able to remove the device from Intune for you.

Re-installation of iOS app in the iOS device

I am using microsoft intune
I have deployed iOS app in the Cloud using intune
I have registered my iOS divece in cloud
I have installed "company portal" on device
I was able to install the deployed iOS app in the device(iPad)
By mistakenly i have deleted the installed app in the device.
How do i re-install the iOS app in the device which is avaliable in cloud?

If this application was packaged with an IPA file (iPhone App) then you will not see the application in the Company Portal, you'll need to use m.manage.microsoft.com from Safari to see and install the application.
If this app was one you created from the iPhone App Store, that application should be visible and you can initiate a reinstallation from the Company Portal.

HT1937 FaceTime is not showing up in my new iPhone 5s?

Hi. I have purchased a new iPhone 5s and I try to use FaceTime but the icon is not showing up.
When I purchase my iphon I asked the buyer if the FaceTime is available on it and he said FaceTime work fine with it.
I have try many times to use and set up FaceTime account.
I live in Saudi Arabia and I use FaceTime on my old iPhone 5.
All cellular companies support FaceTime .
Please give me the solution as soon as possible.

Afaria User Group question

Hello,
I have a qustion regarding User Groups in Afaria.
If I have configured the active directory authentication in the Security settings of the Afaria Server.
I also configured 2 AD groups where my user is in 1 of the group and 2 User groups in Afaria, that shows to the AD groups.
SAP told me if I use the "User Name" variable in the enrollment code, I can use the user groups for the devices.
I tested it with the standard Afaria Client from the appstore without success. Only if I enroll via the Self Service Portal the device are bound to the user group I created.
Is it really only possible via the SSP?

Android enrollment name convention enrollment

We have a major problem with Android device enrollment
when we enroll a device - it shown in the admin portal as [device name first 6 letters]_Android[Date and Time of enrollment]
for example tamir_Android03/03/15_10:00 AM
our problem here is that we provision all the company owned devices and name them as
Contoso01, Contoso02, etc...
In that case - what happens is that we enroll them to intune (With a service account) in the portal we see Contoso_Android.....
and they all run over each other! we just enrolled 10 devices and only the last one appears in the console :O !!!
after un-enroll a device, change its name and enroll it again - it still remembers the
Contoso!
there's no way to change the name. what can we do!?!
