Portion of budget transfer restriction

Dear Friends,
I want to transfer the budget from one fund center to another fund center but the condition is that need to rectrict the portion of the budget from sender fund center. The sender fund center will not allow to transfer that budget portion.
Can anyone please guide how to restrict the portion of the budget for transfer.
Thanks in advance.
Regards, MD.

Dear Eli,
Thanks for your reply.
As per earlier scrap we are using the FMX1 were you can use Document type 11 and reserve the budget on Fund- Fund Center- Commitment Level.
And also remove reserve budget using tcode FMX2, make Zeor in the Overall column the amount will get removed from the mentioned combination.
It is easier to handle by client and also the complete activity is done from there end only. This will help to reserve on amount basis not on percentage basis.
Thanks MD.

  • Restrict access to budget transfer

    Hi folks,
    We have a problem wherein we need to restrict which funds can be changed by users in transaction FR58 or other budget transfer transaction code.  For example: at no time should a user be able to add, change or delete the budget for objects 100 or 200.  I need to know the authorization object/t-code/parameter where I can do this.  Appreciate any help you can provide.
    Donnie

    You need to have a separate account for yourself and not give anyone else the password.
    You can set up separate libraries in one account, but it is tedious to switch libraries and there is no protection against another family member accessing your library.

    We've got an HP DL385-g2 box running Solaris 10 that has started spewing messages of this form:
    Error setting up next portion of DMA transfer
    Apr 21 07:44:30 teak scsi: [ID 107833 kern.warning] WARNING: /pci@0,0/pci1166,14

Apparently there's no data corruption but users are complaining about slow performance. HP support has the knee-jerk response to update controller firmware and the cpqary3 driver. The error message is coming out of the 'sd' driver.
    Has anyone else seen this problem ??
    thanks,

    Solved the problem. I changed every piece of hardware i could remove. Last but not least, it was a problem with the 2 GB RAM Modules. I don't really know what exactly.
    Funny that it works with Linux (memtest still running), but solaris fails to boot.

  • Error in budget transfer - wbs is locked

    hi experts, need advise on how to check error exists during budget transfer in CJ34 from level 1 wbs to level 3, error message occured sender wbs  is locked. then when I looked in CJ20n for this wbs status, this is not locked.

    Hi
    " Sender and receiver are in the same hierarchy branch".
    Since you are trying to transfer funds between objects assigned to the same branch of the hierarchy. This not possible with CJ34 t.code.
    Budget updates between objects in the same hierarchy branch are carried out by means of a supplement using CJ37 t.code or a return using CJ38 t.code.
    Try this

  • Issue in periodic budget transfer in FM BCS

    Hi All,
    We have implement FM BCS na dfacing issue in periodic budget transfers. Below is a example..
    Uploaded Budget for A fund center and AA commitment item for all months of a FY 2012
    Jan   = 150
    Feb   =100
    Mar  =100
    Ap =100
    May  =300
    Jun  =200
    July = 200
    Aug =200
    Sep =200
    Oct =100
    Nov =100
    Dec = 100
    Now the total current budget for FY 2012 is 1850 eur
    Now I want to transfer budget from this fund center "A" and commitment item "AA" to some other fund center and commitment item. I am using distribution key as "0" lets say for feb 2012. I am able to transfer more than EUR 100 where as in FEB month I have only EUR 100 and I should not be able to transfer more than this. We are working on Annual Budgets.
    Please suggest on the same.
    Regards

    Hi,
    Budget control in BCS is working on annual/multi-annual basis, i.e. there will be no control on monthly basis even if you enter your budget period by period. If you want to implement monthly control, you might use FM object 'Budget period' which is available as from 6.04 release. If you are in earlier release you can make a workaround with some unused FM object, e.g. Funded Program. This issue has been discussed several times on SDN, so please search for available material.

  • Inventory Transfer - Restrict Add

    Dear all,
    How do you restrict an inventory transfer document to be added if one of the row have its line total or some other field is blank or zero?
    thanks
    SV Reddy

    Hi SV Reddy.....
    If you use this SP then you can exactly find out at which row and for which Item of any row Block Num field is Empty.....
    Try once.....
    If @Object_type='67' and (@transaction_type ='A' or @transaction_type ='U')
    BEGIN
    declare @Item1 as varchar(100)
    declare @minline1 int
    declare @maxline1 int
    declare @BlockNum1 varchar(100)
    set @minline1 = (select min(T0.linenum) from WTR1 T0 where T0.docentry=@list_of_cols_val_tab_del)
    set @maxline1 = (select max(T0.linenum) from WTR1 T0 where T0.docentry=@list_of_cols_val_tab_del)
    while @minline1<=@maxline1

    WBS B - Rs 10,000 , budget added( CJ30) and released(CJ32)
    now i want to transfer Rs 5,000 from WBS A to WBS B, to do this transaction if i directly use CJ34, i am getting error. and to c\do this 1st i have change release for WBS A from CJ32 from Rs 10,000 to Rs 5,000, then go to CJ34 and carryout transfer, then again come to CJ32 and release both WBS. is this the correct procedure or not pls help me out.
    note: Request to moderator - pls dont delete this post, if this is a easy query then pls help me out with answer, as i need this very much.
    Regards,
    Mandar

    Hi,
    For transferring, from WBS A to B, WBS A should have required available amount in Current Budget which is not yet released.
    1) Firstly check if Rs 5000 is available on WBS A,  means: current-released>=5000
    2) If yes then simply transfer from tranx. CJ34.
    3) If no then adjust some amount from released budget to make Rs 5000 available in current budget,  using CJ32. And after that, transfer using CJ34

  • Budget transfer

    hi experts,
               we are transfering the budget using bapi_0050_create.it is giving the error like 'amount is greater than available budget'.all these information we put in custom table.the bapi is checking the custom table ZFMBCSE01_T.
    what my requirement is some users dont need all these checks they can transfer the money whaterver they want.but some users need all these checks like 'amount is greater than available budget'.
    for this how can i write the code for this.
    Thanks in advance,
    Praveen.

    Hi Praveen,
       I don't think that the standard bapis check the amounts against a z table,for how would sap know the existance of a z table ?
    It must be some othe standard table for sure.
    What you can do it to debug the bapi and see what are the conditions that would lead into raising this error. And then take help from your functional consultant if he could do some configuration in IMG to avoid the check you do not really need.

    Ravi

  • Regarding portion dates

    am confused between the portion dates

    Dear Qhairuddin,
    I think this will help you, A detail about Document of Portions,
    1. When you create a portion, you can transfer existing values from another portion and use these as a template.
    2.  Dynamic Scheduling
    When you create a portion, you must decide whether you want the portion and the corresponding meter reading units to be used for dynamic scheduling. Set this indicator if you want the portion to be used for dynamic scheduling.
    3.   End Bill. Per. (End of Billing Period)
    Here you can determine the date when the portion is billed for the first time. This date is used as the base date for calculating the end of the billing periods or floating backbilling periods.
    This date cannot come before the end of the meter reading period or the scheduled meter reading date of all allocated meter reading units.
    4.  All Date Billg (Billing Allocation Date)
    This date enables you to statistically allocate billing. It is used during cross-contract billing to allocate billing orders and documents. The date is also copied to the billing order.
    This date cannot come after the end of the billing period. The end of the billing period cannot come before the end of the meter reading period or the scheduled meter reading date of all allocated meter reading units.
    If you use budget billing procedure 3 (payment plan) in your system and a payment plan has already been created for this portion, you can no longer change the allocation date.
    5.  Sch. Bill. Date (Scheduled Billing Date)
    This date specifies the day the system starts billing contracts that belong to a portion. The factory calendar is used for this.
    This date displays the point in time when a billing period is prepared. Billing orders that have the status billableafter this date are not processed. The date, therefore, acts as the selection date for determining billable billing orders during mass and single billing.
    6.  Billing Class / Division Category
    You can restrict how the portion is used by entering a billing class and a division category. You have the following options for this:
    Restricted portion
    In the meter reading unit, you can only use the constellations of billing class and division category that are entered in the portion. You can also not make any restrictions.
    Portion not restricted
    The meter reading unit can be restricted or unrestricted.

  • Unity Connection 8.6 call transfer to non-unity extension

      I have converted from Unity to Unity Connection and am looking for a solution for transferring an incoming call to a non-unity user extension.
    Here is the scenario:  An PSTN caller calls in and is directed to a Unity Connection Call Handler or a Subscriber greeting.  In the greeting they are advised that if they know the extension they want to call, they can dial it at any time.  Here is the rub, if they dial an extension for a user listed in Unity Connection, the call gets transferred to the extension.  However, if the extension dialed is to an extension that is not a Unity Connection User, the attendant comes back and say the extension is not understood.
    In Unity before conversion, I would make an internet user that did not have a mailbox but was listed with an extension.  However, with Unity Connection, I am using LDAP integration with Microsoft AD and I don't see a method of doing the same thing.
    Is anyone else doing something like this or know of a method to do it?
    Thanks in advance.
    Gene Keel

    In the greeting check this box:
    Allow Transfers to Numbers Not Associated with Users or Call Handlers
    also make sure the number entered by the call is allowed in Default System Transfer restriction table.

  • Windows Easy Transfer can't transfer files from Windows Vista or Windows XP

    I'm running a English Windows Vista Ultimate and just bought a
    ENGLISH Windows 8.1. I've downloaded the WET for Windows vista and tried to complete the second portion of the transfer by specifying the saved .MIG file WET created. Then I got the error message: "Windows Easy Transfer can't transfer
    files from Windows Vista or Windows XP".
    The truth is, Microsoft was too busy integrating special effects to it's operating system and claimed it as fully polished instead of making sure built-in tools were worth using.
    Another harsh reality is that THERE IS NO WAY TO TRANSFER a file from Windows Vista to Windows 8. That's because engineers didn't even bother to make that possibility happen. Just Google: "Transfer from windows vista to windows 8" and you'll see
    there are no relevant Microsoft web page about this.
    Worse, Microsoft is giving excuses. To solve this issues, they came with a toolbox of fake scenarios in order to confuse clients even further, while they know damn well the Windows Easy Transfer is NOT EASY and certainly in multiple cases
    DOES NOT TRANSFER jack to begin with.

    I somewhat agree with you.
    Trying to transfer from 7 to 8.1 and although it looks like the "7" side of the equation is working, the "8" side isn't.
    "7" is trying to connect to "8" but "8.1" is being just plain stupid.
    Not even sure why the MIG file step is even necessary if all I want to do is transfer one file between two machines.  Said file is really BIG, or i'd just use my network, and the "8.1" rig doesn't have a dvd reader...
    Per the MIG step... my file again, is big... I'd need to "mig" this file just to send it? Can't even get to the step where I'd mig-it and if i did, how long would that take?
    So this is what progress is all about... geez... gimmie a NULL MODEM CABLE !!!

  • How to build semantic model table from excel 2013 budget table?

    I have an excel 2013 budget table produced by finance department. The title of the table is <<Year 2015 Resource Budget>> with columns such as (Item, Budget). There is line of business app which tracks daily usage. It is SQL database which
    I can access. The SQL table has columns such as Date, Item, Usage. I am asked to produce some PowerView reports using DAX.
    I am thinking about using Excel 2013 PowerPivot. The following is the step of my plan.
    Add excel 2013 Budget table to PowerPivot
    Transform the budget table using DAX to a new table with includes date. For each item budget, the value can be evenly divided by 365. I don't know if this is possible with DAX and need advice from you
    Import daily usage from SQL database into PowerPivot
    Merge the imported SQL daily usage table with the transformed budget table with daily breakdown.  The output table has 4 columns (Date, Item, ValueType, Value). The ValueType can be either Budget and Usage. (I also do not know if it is possible to
    use DAX to merge two PowerPivot table into anther table with added new columns. If it is possible, I would love to hear from you on how to do this)
    Finally, I can produce BI reports based on the newly merged table

    Off course, I need to build dimension tables for Date, Item, Item Category, and Value Type
    jl

    Hi JL,
    Just for consideration, I'd:
    Keep budget and actuals separately - create Fact_Y2015Budget and Fact_Actuals;
    Hook both tables to same dimesnions (time; if there is no time for budget, assign it all to the first day of your 2015; line item etc. - whatever you are asked to report about)
    If you can, pull usage not only for 2015, but for prior year(s) too
    Create measures like [Usage Budget Atteinment YTD]:=TotalYTD(SUM([Usage]),your_time)/([Budget]*PriorYear(TotaYTD(SUM([Usage]),you_time)/CALCULATE(SUM([Usage]),DATESBETWEEN(your_first_day_of_year2015,your_last_day_of_2015))))
    The calculation in #4 compares actual ("usage") to portion of budget that would have been used up if 2015 had the same seasonality as 2014... If you couldmshare specific sample, I'd buuild exact formula...

  • Restrict Query By Cost Centre

    I have a number of users who recieve a budget report. The query in the report is restricted by a variable on Cost Centre. There is an authorisation logged against the user in RSECADMIN for cost centre so when the report runs it knows they only have authorisation to view budgets for that specific cost centre.
    However I want to design another report that shows overtime spend for all cost centres. If I give the users authority to view overtime spend for all cost centres the budget report restriction fails e.g. they have now got access to all cost centres and see all budgets.
    Is there anyway around this?

    In that case it is very simple and yes you can separate both authorizations.
    In RSECADMIN built two authorizations:
    Aut_1:
    Cost_center: only the cost centers the user should have
    0TCAACTVT: 03 (display only)
    0TCAIPROV: <The_InfoProvider_the_query_restricted_by_only_some_profit_centers_in_here>
    0TCAKYFNM: * (all key figures)
    0TCAVALID: * (Valid for ever)
    Aut_2:
    Cost_center: * (all cost centers)
    0TCAACTVT: 03 (display only)
    0TCAIPROV: <The_InfoProvider_the_query_restricted_by_all_profit_centers_in_here>
    0TCAKYFNM: * (all key figures)
    0TCAVALID: * (Valid for ever)
    Give both authorizations to the user. When the user opens the query built on the InfoProvider that exist in Aut_1, the system will retrieve the Aut_1 authorizations values, therefore, only some Cost Centers.
    When the user opens the query built on the InfoProvider that exist in Aut_2, the system will retrieve the Aut_2 authorizations values, therefore, all Cost Centers.
    This is because, the systema builds union on 0TCAIPROV characteristic. If they are different, then, different values are granted as you wish.
    Diogo.
