Possible to make labels, rather than fields, blinking?

Is it possible to just make the labels of a field blink?  How does one get at the properties to do that?  My boss is looking for something more subtle that blinking fields.

Camerond, your example looks like a snippet but when I place it on the block diagram in a blank LV2013 VI, it appears as a label:
Http://forums.ni.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/124355i700733B2ED857A6F/image-size/original?v=mpbl...
How did you "place it on the block diagram"? You can't just copy and paste, you have to save the snippet as a PNG file and drag that onto a BD.
And, speaking of that, when I created that snippet, it seems to have gotten messed up saving it as the PNG. It won't work just as shown, the property nodes need to be directly from the numeric and slide indicators, not the generic nodes to the refnums. This time I'll just attach the VI.

  • How to put an asterisk in the field label rather than on the field in Infopath

    For a mandatory field in Infopath, we know that the red asterisk shows up always on the control. Is there a way we can make it appear on the label instead.
    In the figure below, can we have the red asterisk on the label where ? symbol is present ?

    Hi Prajk,
    From your description, my understanding is that you want to put an asterisk in the field label rather than on the field in Infopath.
    By default, the asterisk is on the field, not the field label. If you want to put an asterisk in the field label, per my knowledge, you need to develop the column to do it.

  • Automator searching labels rather than tags

    Hi,
    I'm having a problem with automator since labels changed to tags.
    I have a few different tags on each file which I'll call Tag A, Tag B, Tag C, and Tag D. Tag A and Tag B are both orange, Tag C is yellow, and Tag D is blue.
    If I have a file that should be Tag A and Tag D so I tag it with both tags. The file shows up like this:
    When I use tags in finder it shows up in both Tag A and Tag D.
    In automator if I search for Label = Orange it shows up, but when I search Label = Blue it doesnt show up.
    My first question is can I search by tag instead of label in automator? Either using a plugin or script?
    My second question is can I search for Tag A rather than Tag B? I say that because they are both orange but are distinguished by the tag name. What I usually do is search for Label = Orange and Any Content = Tag A.
    Thanks in advance for any help.
    Connor

    Not for you, but for other users who need the answer (so please do not use my answer )
    Use boolean operators (i.e. Tag:Green OR tag: Grey  NOT Tag:Blue)
    For multiple tagged files use: Tag:Green AND Tag:Gray
    mdfind can also be used:

  • Is it possible for the labels of new fields to not line up with already existing fields?

    I am attempting to create a form where some of the labels are longer than others. Unfortunately, it appears that all labels have to match up exactly with each other. So, when I create a new field and extend the length of the label, it extends the length of the labels on all other fields as well. Please tell me there's a way to fix this. It seems elementary that users would need lables of varying lengths at times.

    All fields on the first column share the same column width.
    If you have a field to the right of another first (making it not the first element on the row) then it can have it own label width.

  • Can I address a Hard drive by its volume label, rather than its letter?

    Hi All,
    I have a question about file paths... I'm building an instrument and have a spare USB port internally. I want to use that to attach a simple flash drive to give the system on-board storage. The system itself is run by a separate PC to which it connects via a USB interface (there's a USB hub internal to the system, hence the spare USB port).
    I've been able to format the USB flash drive and give it a label which shows up when the device is plugged into any computer. However, the drive letter associated with the device will vary from PC to PC since each PC may have a different number of drives already installed when I plug my system in. Is there a way to use my label to either address the flash drive directly, or at least to determine its drive letter within labview?
    Thanks for your help

  • Forest root domain displayed as network label, rather than child domain

    Following on from this post (which I stupidly contributed to without realising it's a gaziillion years old):
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/44cab27b-e2ef-4496-bfa7-add7ac014401/server-2008-and-windows-7-detect-their-domain-incorrectly-why?forum=winserverPN&prof=required
    I run a DMZ child domain which is pretty tightly locked-down, and the display name when you hover over the NIC shows the network as the forest root domain. None of the answers in the above thread state why this should be the case clearly, and a vague response
    from support saying that 'Product Group' (which one?!) have been asked for feedback was never followed up on.
    Since I can't open LDAP directly between my DMZ machines and the forest root PDC, and therefore can't even generate a profile to copy into a registry key & deploy either by GPO or batch file, I'm SOL finding a solution to this - but would at least like
    a viable explanation for the behaviour, as opposed to 'it's by design'

    Can I ask if something is not working correctly because of this?  The display of the connected network does not affect communication or how DNS will resolve.  Are you chasing this down because you don't like the display, or is there an outage?
    Thanks!

  • Clickable on a theme that contains lines, rather than points in Java API

    Hi,
    I am working on a Java thick client application using the MapViewer API.
    The use case I am trying to implement is to click on a line that has been rendered by MapViewer, and identify the object that this lines represents.
    I have been able to implement a click on a point (e.g. defined as MDSYS.SDO_GEOMETRY(2001,null,MDSYS.SDO_POINT_TYPE(3,3,null),null,null).
    However, I am having difficulty with a line. I have tried with a line defined as follows:
    MDSYS.SDO_GEOMETRY(2002, null, null,
    MDSYS.SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY(1,2,1),MDSYS.SDO_ORDINATE_ARRAY(3,3,4,4))
    and also using the entry in the INTERSTATES table from the mvdemo sample database:
    GEOM: MDSYS.SDO_GEOMETRY(2002,8307,null,MDSYS.SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY(1,2,1),MDSYS.SDO_ORDINATE_ARRAY(-95.368599,29.77528,-95.366074,29.77133,-95.365822,29.771009,-95.365341,29.769661))
    HIGHWAY: I 10/I 45
    The approach I have taken is to use live features by making a JDBCTheme ("INTERSTATES_THEME") clickable.
    The following is the code I used:
    MapViewer map = new MapViewer("http://localhost:8888/mapviewer/omserver");
    map.setServiceURL("http://localhost:8888/mapviewer/omserver");
    map.setDataSourceName("mvdemo");
    map.setImageFormat(MapViewer.FORMAT_PNG_URL);
    map.addJDBCTheme(config.getDataSourceName(), "INTERSTATES_THEME",
    "select HIGHWAY, geom from INTERSTATES where HIGHWAY = 'I 10/I 45'", "geom", "8307",
    "L.DPH", null, null, true);
    map.setFullExtent();
    Then, I make a call to map.run(), map.getGeneratedMapImage() and render the generated image in a JPanel paintComponent method.
    This all works fine, and I can see the highway being rendered.
    However, if I add
    map.setClickable(true, "INTERSTATES_THEME");
    before the call to map.setFullExtent();
    I get the following stack trace when map.run() is invoked:

    Does anyone know if it is possible to make lines (rather than points) clickable on a thick client?
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    I want to have click event on Point.
    I have written following code using Mapviewer API:
    String serverUrl = "http://ps3962:7101/mapviewer/omserver";
    mapClient = new MapViewer(serverUrl);
    mapClient.setDataSourceName("mvdemo");
    mapClient.setBaseMapName("demo_map");
    mapClient.setCenterAndSize(-122.40, 37.80, 2.5);
    mapClient.setDeviceSize(new java.awt.Dimension
    (1280,768));
    mapClient.setImageFormat(MapViewer.FORMAT_PNG_URL);
    I have added point feature to it by mapClient.addPointFeature(cx, cy, 8307, "M.CIRCLE", "Point1",null,null);
    After this I did mapClient.run()
    and mapClient.getGeneratedImage()
    The image returned is null.
    I am able to get Image Url only.
    And By using that URL if I rendered the image in jsf page, How can I make point feature clickable ?
    In your first post You mentioned that you have used MapViewer.FORMAT_PNG_URL and still You are getting generatedImage.
    Can you please tell me what can be the problem in my code?
    I referred Mapviewer API and it is mentioned that for getting generatedMapImage the format should be FORMAT_RAW_COMPRESSED.
    So could you please tell me how can you get Image by using FORMAT_PNG_URL ?
    And also how to make point feature clickable ?
    Its urgent. Your help will be greatly appreciated .
    Thanks

  • TFS Customization - Can we just rename the label of the control rather than renaming fields?

    I wanted to reuse some existing fields with different values. I can customize XML to add different values for the existing field since we import the changes to specific project. And I will just rename the Label of the control rather than renaming the field
    which will create some potential problems on importing the previous TFS data. I just wanted to ensure that this is the proper way to do it. I did the changes in test server and it works fine. But I need a consultation from experienced guys to know whether
    they faced any issues in this thatswhy I am here.

    Changing the label is perfectly fine. This will not affect any migration attempts.  The form label for a field is separate from the field name and refname.

    The main point is that Aperture is used to make digital negatives as good as they can be (for the uses you define), but it does not ADD date to your digital negatives, nor does it produce NEW combination files.  For those tasks you need a Graphics program.

  • Is it possible to create a drop down menu using form fields rather than text?

    Is it possible to create a drop down menu using form fields rather than text?

    Yes, correct - values of form fields. If one is blank, then the field would be blank - yes? If two or more have the same value that is fine.
    A standard dropdown ... As shown here. If there is an easier way to do this, I'd love to hear your suggestions. Thank you!

  • Is it possible to bill a Third Party Sale on GR rather than IR?

    Hi, I would like to bill my customer as soon as I have had a GR notification from my supplying partner rather than waiting for the vendor invoice (as there can be a delay). The help text associated with Item category 'Relevant for Billing; indicator 'F' suggests this is possible ....
    "You can make the control setting as to whether the invoice receipt quantity or the goods receipt quantity should be relevant for billing in the copy control for billing on the item level in the billing quantity field. (In Customizing, choose Sales and Distribution -> Billing -> Billing documents -> Maintain Copying Control for Billing Documents -> Copying Control: Delivery to Billing Document -> Item, then select an item category.)"
    ... but this doesn't make much sense to me as I don't want to create an outbound delivery, I just want to trigger the customer invoice (order related billing) on a non-valuated GR against the related PO .... is this possible?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Patrick,
    if you want to bill third-party order before Invoice Receipt, then billing relevance FKREL must be 'B'.
    In customizing copy control the Billing quantity indicator should be 'E'.
    Please test hese settings.
    Best regards,
    Ivano.

  • Shipment Cost Relevance field grayed out. Possibility to make this editable

    When we create a TD shipment document, based on the shipment type control data, the value of the field Shipment cost relevance is updated.
    This field is always grayed out, where there is no option to edit.
    When we check the standard description, we can see that this is an proposal for shipment cost relevance and can be modified if required.
    Is there any such possibility to do so (other than by customising the shipment type parameters),  if so, please proivde the process.

  • Is there a way to make table entries vertical rather than horizontal?

    I am wanting to make custom x-axis values which are names of sensors rather than numbers so i was going to just place a table to make the custom values.  But i do not think Labview will allow vertical text like it is in the y-axis units.  It only allows this for captions and labels.  Does anyone know?

    Here is a quick demo that is a bit more robust and picks-up on CC's suggestion.
    It simply uses a picture control with a transparent background to hold the text labels.
    It is in LV 8.0 but should be code-able back to 6.1.
    This VI is suitable for use in creating an XControl.
    Anyone game?
