Everything is stock.  Any idea why so low?
Seen similar over here..
Im getting 8400 in 3dMark03 and 15,800 in 3dMark01.
I have a Neo2, A64 3500, Corsair XMS3200C2PT and 6800GT. All at stock.
Fix is next page..
thanx a million Mullins!!
You were right... i had to unistall the GART driver , then unistall the ForceWare 61.77 then reboot and reinstall the GART first followed by the gfx drivers...
... then hey presto the AGPx8 is operational and on a stock 6800GT/3500 system I got
3dMark01 = 22,500
3dMark03 = 11,850

  • 3DMark Scores!! (Post Yours!)

I decided to make a thread for all the MSI forum users, to post their 3dmark scores!! Also once enough people have posted, I can make a list of who is leading in 2 categories, of AMD and Intel cpus.
    3dmark01=16800
    3dmark03=5445
(At 400mhz for my ram, it wont remember the fps in 3dmark01 )
(PS. Can we move this to the "Anything Under the Sun" forum. I meant to post there)

Here is a thread i started about 3dmark scores in 64bit forum and Here hope this helps in your testing the last link was when i was trying to see what ATI drivers didn't like K7N2 but is obsolete now.

The same old story I cant do so it's impossible  instead of asking how!

I downloaded the futuremark 3dmark program to test my system as its been doing sad pathetic things and I'm trying things to make it work better.  I got the new mushkin ram and running at 133MHZ FSB I can actually do things, at 166mhz fsb the system goes to crap and keeps resetting.
    I ran the 3dmark and got 91fps first test then 5, 8 and 2 frames/sec afterwards for a final 3dmark score of ..../sigh ... 882.
I gotta think my video cards shot cause during game play I keep getting whole screens of garbage, loose game textures and I keep getting STOP 0x1E in the nv4_.dll when i blue screen.
Are these boards this damm bad or do I simply have a bum one?

try reinstalling the thingie,s cooler as the rest of your hardware looks ok to me

  • 2011 iMac Boot Camp 3DMark Scores

So I got my new iMac a few days ago with intent of running Boot Camp for gaming in Windows 7, and all day to day computer operations in OSX. I am slightly disappointed in its performance so far when running games like Crysis 2 at higher settings. Some of this may improve with driver updates but according to AMD driver updates when using boot campy have to come from Apple, so GPU driver updates may be few and far between.
I was interested in seeing what everyone else running the new 2011 iMac's are getting in 3DMark06 and 11 when using boot camp.

All 3DMARK tests were run using the free trial version so all the settings were default. You can get 3DMARK06 and 11 from the link below.

    - Just click on benchmark in upper right and corner and you can select which one you want to download the trial to.
If anyone else has run these tests, or would like to, please post your scores here! Don't forget to include what hardware your running on your computer.
    Thanks

    The Hatter,
Which driver are you talking about specifically? Are you talking about the Catalyst Software Suit here:
    http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/radeon_win7-64.aspx
I have downloaded multiple drivers from AMD saying they are for the AMD Radeon HD 6970m but they each either don't apply at all or say that no compatible hardware was found? When i called AMD they told me that any support and driver updates for graphic cards used in Apple computers would have to come from apple? Have you had success from drivers downloaded from the AMD website?

Also, do you know for sure that your pc3200 memory is running at full speed (ie. 400MHz) and is not using some other fsb:mem ratio of 4:3 or 5:4?
The given score is with every non-essential background process and service diasbled (though it makes very little difference). DRAM is running at 1:1 (ie 400). Tried 5:4 with FSB=230 (max stable at stock voltage). Gains a little (CPU), loses a little (RAM), doesn't make much difference in the end. IOW, everything is running at specs now.
Also, (to ToxicTaz) it's not a SP.
I noticed a peculiar thing, though. When I ran Aida and checked video mem speed, it reported, as "actual speed", some odd number quite a bit lower than 850 (something like 736). This is in 2D mode of course (but memory speed should be the same). Anyway, now I cannot duplicate it. Could it be that the memory is stepping down on its own accord? GPU, yes, but I didn't think memory could do that. GPU doesn't get too hot either (~48 deg right after 3dmark3). Is there a way I can check "actual" memory speed during 3D testing, if there is even such a thing?
Mind you I can OC memory upto 930 OC and it passes nVidia test and seems to be running fine at that. But if it's lowering down behind my back, that would explain it.

  • Higher 3dmark scores threw overclocking on kt4 ultra

OK i just bought a 2100xp based on the assumption that id overclock it ....the first problem i noticed was my power supply wasent strong enough. so i swaped it out with my other computer and i got the fsb up to 133. When i let fussy logic test out overclocking i come up 139. now my 3dmark scores sould be a little higher like maybe 13600. but i cant even get close withouy that extra 6 mhz on the fsb. So after reading threw posts i heard that if you set it to 166mhz a new driver enguages for the 333 fsb processors but when i do it just like all the other posts i get no post....so i was wondering if it could be  a voltage problem much like from 100 to 133 like alot of people are having or if my processor is stoping it. but i thought the lock was just for the multiplyer and ive been told to lower that to acheve higher fsb speeds. I havent thought of over clocking my radion yet...... and have read that the xps pretty much can hit 2.2 or even 2.1. so im really confused why i cant up my bus....i mean in the end if i unlock my cpu amd i going to raise the mulitpler so i can leave the bus at 139 (cause its stable) or if there was another way. im lookin for a 14500 3dmark score and ill be happy and i didnt want to spend the money on the unlocking kit so really i was looking for other options. when i got the motherboard i was pretty mad about all the so called problems but i got them cleared up and now am looking to see what i can do with it thanks in advance for all the help you guys are great

your not getting 166 with that cpu without unlocking it
so you can reduce the multiplier

  • Low 3dMark Scores

The 3d mark scores thread has me thinking.
    My post from that thread:
I'm not really a big benchie, but all of this has me thinking. All-in-all, this machine is not much faster than my 2800= nforce2 setup, in fact my 3dMark03 & 01se scores are much lower. With my 2800 I was getting 17250 in 01se & 6250 in 03, now with the setup below I'm getting 5243 in 03 & 15874 in 01se. Even turning the quality down has little impact on the score. One big difference in the a64's favor is I can run 'lock-on' at much faster framerates with AA & AF turned all the way up. The Vid card and extra HDD came from my old box which was about 6 months old.
My AGP apature is set @ 128mb, my mem timings are below and my CPU is not OC'd, but my GPU is; it's set to 432/371, but not all of the time. I'm running cat 4.1 drivers. So whats the deal, any guesses?
Like I said I'm not all that concerned with my 3dMark scores as I am that I may be missing something that is causing my computer to take a performance hit.

Ok, I managed to get mine fixed. I now get a cpu score of 628. This is with normal windows applications (virus killer, etc) running in the background. Will I tell you how I did it or will I keep you in suspense    jk.
Ok, I did 2 things at once so I am not sure which fixed it.
    1. Removed my 1G pc2700 memory and put in 512Mb DDR400 generic memory.
    2. Switch off cool n quiet in the bios.
I suspect it's the cool n quiet but havent turned it back on again yet to check.
Hope this works for you (hope you havent started installing fresh windows yet).
Edit.. On a side note since you asked about via drivers. I have them all installed except IDE. I find via IDE drivers to be TERRIBLE. This is my first via board in a long time. I used to have via boards (over 5 years ago) and I had the same problem then. Whenever you put the VIA ide driver in the system goes to Sh*t. The drives become noisy and the performance is poor. My advice is to stick with the microsoft ones - a million times better.
    skooby

can we send pre-test score (Pre-test question slide) and post test score (Question slide) both in lms from captivate?

Pretest score normally is not sent to the LMS. However it is stored in a system variable, you could use JS to send it.

  • My 3dmark scores are a joke need advice please

Hello, well I cant understand why my 3dmark scores are so bad, 6494.
    my pc
    MSI KT3 Ultra
    512 Corsair cas2 PC 2700
80 gig barra 7200 (OS running on it)
    40 gig barra 7200
    30 gig WD    7200
    Win XP Pro
    Leadtek GF4 4200 64meg
I have configured my bios according to the settings guide on http://www.amdforums.com/showindex.php?s=&threadid=124482
Hard drive have also been defragged
I have also used River Tuner and have changed my settings from default to Core clock 279 Memory clock 567 that gave me an increase of around 400 points. But its still not what I had expected. what would be a safe limit to reach ?
I have the FSB set to 148x10.5
I would have thought my scores would have been around the 10,000 mark.
Anyone have any ideas as to why the score is so low or any ideas on how to improve performance.
I am so dam disapointed, it seems no matter what i try with this board it doesnt work.

    hey Grandad,
try closing/disable PC Alert 4 AND Cooler XP,
and don't forget the programs running at the background, such like anti-virus programs (McAfee/Norton). Those services must not running while benchmarking.
TIP: the time of benchmark is also important.
After starting WinXP/system your processor is cold.
And a much better cooling is very recommended.
10 degrees celcius colder means 1000 points more.
ATTENTION: Don't adjust the PCI reserved megabites (for DirectX/OpenGL) at the display (drivers) properties.
I did that once, i had a lack of 40 fps at every benchmark test.
i hope this is usefull for you.
Thats why i got 10025 points with my GF4 Ti 4200 XP  )

  • Suggestions please low 3dmark scores & neo2

    Hi everyone.
I just did a system build w/ specs in signature.  Bios ver 1.4.  Bios is running at stock speed, mem @ 2-2-2-10 1t.  agp aperature=128.  Fast writes=disabled.
I installed winxp w/ slipstream sp2, then mobo drivers including gart driver then nforce driver 67.02.
My 3d mark score averages 3843.  I was getting at least 5100 with same setup except with my via 939 boards (soltek and asus a8v).
I have network installed and am using the nvidia ethernet.  Do you think I should use this or the real tek driver.  Might this be holding back my performance?
Please help with suggestions to improve my performace.  I am at my wits end!  I've done numerous searches and cannot find anything to help me!
    thanks.

Set the AGP Aperture to 256, you have that much ram on the video card, I have the exact same card and I get 3dmark scores of about 5500...
And try the beta 70.90 drivers out, they work very well.
    http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=925
Also, make sure Vertical Sync is set to Application Controlled, you may have it turned on right now, which is rather bad for benchmarking.
    Good luck

  • Radeon 9600 posting low scores

I have yet to test with 3Dmark 2003, however with 3DMark 2001 SE I get maximum 9600 3DMarks with my setup.
With the Ti4400 board which fried (which is why I had to buy this card) I was getting much  higher FPS scores during the portions of the test which worked. (the card would eventually lock up with funny pink and green bars across the screen).
Are there any settings in the BIOS for this Radeon card which I am missing?
    My 3DMark score with 9600

Honestly, the 9600's aren't that good.  I think I was reading somewhere- like Tom's Hardware- that the 9600 isn't even as good as it's older brother, the 9500.  You'll want to go check out a 9800 Pro.  I bought my Sapphire 9800 Pro from Newegg.com for only like $210.  Best of all, the Sapphire 9800Pro looks and performs almost exactly like ATI's 9800 pro (I have both).  The Sapphire is the same color, uses the same heatsink, same layout, they both even use Samsung RAM.
Haven't checked prices recently, but isn't an ATI 9600 around $200?  Spend the extra $10 and get a 9800Pro card, the difference is night and day.

I'm surpised the score dropped that much considering the rest of the h/w is comparable with my home unit. Whats also interesting is that the sound test on my work machine have better scores than my home PC. I suppose this shows that the audio codec on the P4P800 is better than the Realtek on the K8T NEO, or the drivers are better. A bit surprising all the same.

  • 3x GTX 470's 3dMark Scores

    Hi,
    I just got my 3rd GTX470..
and I've noticed a bit of a problem with the comp in my sig.
My 3dmark 11 scores have dropped by almost 1/2 ..
    Was 6700, now 3800..
    Not sure what's going on..

Remember that neither SLi nor X-Fire scales linear.
The first card you add, will add roughly ~50 - 90% performance, the second only ~10 - 50%, depending on games, hardware, drivers etc.
Just dont go for quad SLi, thats truly awfull scaling and best only be used for benching, since there are not many profiles for quad SLi.
It could be that at current your cpu is holding the cards up.
    According to this:
    http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-470-2-3-way-sli-review/26
    Quote
3-way SLI will quickly run into limitations, the biggest one being your processor. Now our Core i7 965 is locked and loaded at 3.75 GHz, which already is a decent overclock. With the older or less demanding titles our setup is still not enough to feed three GTX 470 cards.
And, no offense, its a much faster cpu than the one in your sig.

  • Weird 3dmark scores

all tests were with totally default driver settings, fastwrites enabled, sideband enabled, AGP aperature size 128MB (driver 71.84)
here is with gpu default (350/1000)http://img219.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img...udefault6zf.jpg
here is with gpu oc to ultra speeds (400/1100)
    http://img219.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img...gpuultra4fy.jpg
The difference is not as big as I tought it will be, is this normal???
the biggest dissapointment is with 3dmark 2001 because after oc scores didn't increased too much. I know that 01 is very much cpu dependent but come on.
and what a heck with those 3dmark 05 speeds?? aren't they too low?
    thanks for any suggestions

I dont see what is wrong,  Your 2001 scores are actually a bit high and 2003 seems to be right on par if not better than most.  There is nothing wrong your scores they are normal if not a tough better.
As your 2001 not being as good as your would have though its a full system benchmark, its tests all your hardware as 3dmark03 and 05 only test your VGA card and not your system.  So a big OC on CPU  will jump scores up 1000-1500pts and a big OC on VGA will do about the same 1000-1500pts.
